Awesome Bucket HACKs for fishing

today I got 14 more bucket hacks for you I like bucket buckets not bucket mouse bucket hacks oh my bad anyway bucket hack number one I do all kinds of stuff with buckets I mean I use them a lot this bucket here has chicken food in it to feed my chickens with what you doing why you shaking your head no what is it is this a bucket video or how to raise your own bait video and is it just me or does that little bitty handle start cutting into your hand when you carrying it I mean look at it it's tiny and if you put a lot of weight in a bucket and you're carrying it this is going to cut into your hand well if you get you a piece of three quarter inch PVC like I have right here and then get your hacksaw and if you don't like using a hacksaw you can use some good old PVC Cutters but cut you out a piece of that PVC and cut that piece of PVC about the same length as the handle is on your bucket now after you get your piece of PVC cut we're going to want to take this wire off this wire has a little bend on it on the inside but if you get you a good pair of pliers you can grab that wire and twist it enough to pull it out take your pre-cut piece of PVC now here's the thing the reason I use three quarters of an inch PVC is because it'll fit on that bend at the end of The Wire and it'll slide right on there grab the end of The Wire again with your pliers twist it again and put it back through the hole and when you're finished you got you a better Handle by the way I just leave the original handle on under it every time you pick it up it'll line itself up now it don't cut into your hand when you carry a bunch of weight and that right there is awesome no joke seriously I do use this hack and it is way more comfortable also something else you could do you could do the same thing with the old piece of Airline number two who have filled this bucket full of water and ice that's what's left of my eyes I wanted to make sure that the water was cold because on this next hack this fan right here is something that I bought from my building my building's metal and there's no insulation in it it gets hot during the day it beats down on you well this fan takes batteries so you can use it anywhere you could take this thing fishing camping whatever you want to the battery goes back here plugs in up there you see this hose right here on the bottom you take this hose loose now you can stick this hose into your bucket then you just set your whole fan down on your bucket and it locks onto the rim of it I mean it just snaps right on and this fan has a pump in it which pumps the water from your bucket while it's blowing it blows it out here and it buzz it out here well the test is fan to see if it works I'm going to blow it onto the side of this toolbox because this Toolbox will give me a steady reading of what everything else in this building is temperature wise this toolbox is 83.4 degrees I'm gonna run this fan against this toolbox for about 10 minutes or so and we're going to see if it cools down any and we'll cut the fan on do you see that mist coming out of it that actually is pretty dang cool I'm gonna point it at the toolbox now for about five minutes and we're going to see if the temperature lowers on it yes getting my toolbox all wet I'm gonna have a rusty toolbox tomorrow it's only been running for about a minute and a half or two minutes but I'm gonna go ahead and check it now it's 74.6 so yeah it did drop almost 10 degrees that's actually pretty cool how can you tell when a book is sick he's a little pale bucket hack number three but this right here is a lid that I found on Amazon and it wasn't that expensive but all this is a lid that fits on your bucket pretty dang tight up here you have an access that you can open then you can reach into your bucket and get minnows out and you don't have to keep taking the whole lid off every time which will make things a lot more convenient and that's actually pretty dang cool hack number four this right here is a magic products insulated bucket liner slash cooler you can use this as a standalone or you can use it in a bucket I got this thing online for like eight bucks which might sound a little bit high but this thing's made pretty good quality that styrofoam Right There is almost an inch thick so I'd say this thing will keep ice for a good long time I believe it would work fine by itself if you stuck this thing in a bucket there's no way you're going to damage it now the bucket will actually help keep this thing safe this would be great for drinks this would be great to keep frozen bait in when you go fishing or for you guys that like to use chicken or hot dog whinnies or any of that stuff this is going to be awesome and something else you can do with this you could take the lid off and just use the liner part inside of your bait book I mean if you think about it if you put minnows in this they're gonna stay alive a whole lot longer bucket hack number five this right here believe it or not is a bucket I know that's what I see it's got a zipper on the side and all you have to do is unzip this zipper and you pull your bucket out well it's collapsed then all you have to do is open your bucket up and then voila you got yourself a bucket and I know I know it ain't no five gallon bucket it ain't solid it's just a bag bucket but I think it'll work let's pour some water in it and see if it'll hold it [Applause] I tell you what it held almost that whole five gallons and now it's pretty dang solid it's kind of like one of those swimming pools that just has the top ring that blows up that's sort of the way this bucket works and I know it's not a regular bucket but you know what the coolest thing about this is you can collapse this thing right back down put it in that cover zip it up and now you got this little bitty bucket you can put this in your truck you can put it in your boat you can put it in your camper and it's cheap and it don't take up space that's awesome hack number six on this act all you need is a steel bucket you can buy steel buckets they come with lids online I think I've seen them as cheap as twelve dollars you can buy buckets that have stuff that comes in them like tar grease oh and they have lids on them too then you can buy buckets that have spouts they don't have lids this bucket right here comes from my buddy and you know which buddy I'm talking about that's a good fish right there he buys his acetone in five gallon buckets then when he's finished he cuts the top out of them and uses them for trash cans I talked to him in to give me this one so I could show you this hat I used to make fire buckets when I was younger because you can build a fire in a bucket and you don't leave no mess behind when you threw fishing if you put wood in a bucket and burn it it's going to fill up with ashes I used to get wax that people throwed away from the cotton mill I don't do it anymore but I'm going to use candles to show you this hat these candles come from the Dollar Tree and they're basically a dollar and 25 cents the dollar and 25 cent tree you know what I'm saying besides these candles you're gonna need a piece of wood not a very big piece of wood just a piece of wood a piece of wood does not burn itself it's actually a wick so basically we're taking wax in a wick and we're making our own giant candle and don't count this out because this works really good I did this back in my 20s all the time when I was bank fishing to make it easier and faster I got a little fire starter here well a piece of a fire starter and I'm going to start it with it and you do realize fire starters ain't nothing but sawdust and wax it's the wax that burns wax is actually a very good fuel for your fire so first I want to get my little fire starter going then I'm just going to put a piece of wood on it and get my wood burning you can put two pieces of wood if you want but this thing is not about burning the wood it's about burning wax I got 3.75 worth of can those right here and we're going to see how long it'll burn I'll put a couple candles in there around it so they can go ahead and start melting now before the flame gets too big I'm going to take this outside okay so I got this thing all set up it's just now starting to burn good it'll really be flaming it up in a minute I started the clock at one o'clock and we're gonna see about how long it burns just off a few candles all right this thing's been burning for 15 minutes you see that liquid in the bottom I don't know if you can see it that's those candles that's melted right there what they do is melt and Get Wicked up by that wood they just keep burning and this flame will get bigger than this too we'll let it burn a little longer see how long it goes yeah now this thing's burning and it's burning the paint off of the bucket too you can see I'm gonna let it keep burning and see how long it lasts well this thing finally went out and it burned for almost two hours that's all that's left you see that this bucket is still hot that right there is pretty dang cool I always remember what before he kicked the bucket oh man I am so sorry what'd he say hey son how far do you think I can kick his bucket [Music] you fired bucket hack number seven foreign this next bucket hack is actually pretty dang cool if you buy the correct plumbing and drill a hole in the bottom of your bucket to where you can screw a hose pipe into it then around the top of your bucket you want to drill enough holes for water to run out when you're done you got a fillet cleaner the video I'm using is not mine it comes from a channel called Catfish Edge and that channel is run by Chad Ferguson and he's a catfish guide he's actually got a lot of good videos with tips and tricks to help you get better efficient and I'll leave a link to his channel go over there and check him out it's pretty cool hack number eight for this one we're going to need a drill bit and you're going to need some kind of rope here's the trick though you want your drill bit slightly bigger than your rope First Step you need to do is take that handle off that bucket with your pliers once you get your handle off of your bucket then we're going to take our drill bit and we're going to drill this hole out just a little bit bigger and make sure you drill both sides too next we're going to take our rope and we're going to run through a hole once you get your rope run through your hole tie a knot on the end of it do that on both sides and once you get the knot tied in it trim it off and heat it up with a lighter to get rid of the phrase well when you're done you got your bucket with a rope handle that's way more comfortable bucket hack number nine I was down at Palmetto State Armory which is an outdoor store that was started in South Carolina but while I was down there I ran across this bucket and this is a pretty cool bucket it actually comes with the Rope handle kind of like the one we made and you can take it off see what I'm saying but the thing I really like about this bucket it's got a handle on the bottom so if you go to dump something out you got something to grab onto I mean you gotta admit that's pretty cool right there normally you have to grab the bucket like this I mean really you gotta lock that hack number ten okay this right here is my cast net and I know somebody's gonna ask me in the comment section I have a super spreader chain net it's one pound per radius foot it's a 10 foot net with one inch mesh anyway most cast nets come in a bucket some cast nets come in a box but when they come in a box most people end up putting them in a bucket when you get your cast net take your net add the bucket once you get to net add the bucket take you a drill bit and drill you about four holes in the bottom then put your net back in the bucket when you put it back in the bucket weigh it the water can drain out these holes and you don't end up with a bucket full of water I'm just saying bucket hack number 11. I think now if you got your extra lid laying around this is just a plain old 2.65 or so lid you get you some of these anti-fatigue foam mats you might have some laying around they sell these at Harbor Freight and I think they're like 9.99 they're actually the same mats I used to cut out to put my tools in that I showed you on the workshop hack video if you got an extra mat you can take one of these mats put it on the table and usually it is a template and draw it out then I'm going to come in like an inch and draw a circle inside of that one once I get that Circle drawed I'll take a razor knife and cut it out once you get your mat cut out in the circle you get it cut down to where it fits right in your bucket list next I'm gonna take some five minute epoxy that I got from Harbor Freight mix it up we're gonna put a thin coat on the bottom of our mat and then permanently install it to our lid and after your epoxy dries you got yourself a bucket seat and that's actually cheaper to mine one even if you had to buy a whole pack of those mats I'm just saying hack number 12. they make all kinds of seats for buckets but I really like this seat right here it's one of the best made ones I've seen and I found it at Tractor Supply and it was only 14.99 which falls in line with most seats but the thing I really like about this seat is it's got a swivel in it that's pretty dang cool right there it's called a thermoset by stay Outdoors so this seat actually keeps your butt warm too or at least I think it does bucket hack number 13. now I did a video just a little over a year ago last spring to be exact where I went to the 2021 catfish conference while I was there I did the video about hacked fishing products and one of the things that stood out to most of me fits this video perfect and it was a bucket lid cutting board and if you're interested in one they're sold by catfish clothing company that's something pretty dang interesting and pretty dang awesome for somebody that fishes off the bank I'm just saying 14. we're gonna cut this bucket in half and the first thing we need to do is take his handle off and we done bent over that so get your pliers out next I'm going to take my jigsaw and I'm going to use this lip right here as a guide to run my jigsaw on that'll make her cut straight after you get your bucket cut in half the next thing we're going to do is drill some holes around the Bottom now if it rains and water gets in this it can run out you can take his half bucket and bolt it into your boat you can bolt it onto the back of your four-wheeler or your golf cart and then when you start to move you can just set your Bait Bucket inside of it just like that and it won't fall over no more it'll hold the top bucket into place this also works with smaller buckets foreign all over your boat no more if you like this video then you're gonna like this video trust me so go check it out I'm serious go check it out because this is over [Music]
