The company Silent-Yachts has to go ahead
with restructuring amid bankruptcy rumors Similar to Tesla, the SILENT-YACHTS crew refused
to give up on their goal. Their goal was to blend the luxury of a motor
yacht with the silent sailing and boundless potential of a sailboat. to be able to cross
oceans with real ease and require very little upkeep. to enable luxurious, self-sufficient
yachting to coexist with the natural world. In the realm of revolutionary yachting experiences,
Silent-Yacht emerges as a beacon of innovation, reshaping the very essence of luxury on the
open seas. The name resonates with a promise a promise
of yachting without the environmental toll that traditional vessels often exact. Picture this, a Silent-Yacht gracefully slicing
through the azure waters, propelled not by the roar of engines but by the silent hum
of clean, sustainable energy. This brand has elevated the concept of yachting
to a new standard, eliminating polluting emissions and the intrusive noise of conventional engines. The result is a harmonious blend of opulence
and environmental responsibility. Before constructing its first completely self-sufficient
solar-powered catamaran, Silent Yachts collected five years' worth of sailing data. The company started studying solar yacht technologies
in 2004. 2009 saw the release of the original model
which was a 14-meter catamaran. Michael K hler, the company's creator, and
his wife put the vessel through five years of testing. They entered the Mediterranean after traveling
by river through the Black and Aegean Seas and all of Europe. At various points in time, there were six
or eight passengers on board. Using power, people prepared, warmed, and
cooled the cabins and took showers, all on electricity. One of the key elements distinguishing Silent-Yacht
is its reliance on solar panels. These sleek, energy-harnessing panels not
only power the vessel but also grant it an extended range, allowing for extended journeys
across the seas without the need for constant refueling. It's a nod to a future where luxury and eco-consciousness
seamlessly coexist. For years, Silent-Yacht has been at the forefront
of providing electric catamarans, setting the stage for a paradigm shift in the industry. Now, their fleet has expanded, offering a
diverse selection of yachts that cater to the most discerning of tastes. Whether it's the cutting-edge technology,
the environmentally conscious design, or the sheer opulence that defines each vessel, Silent-Yacht
stands for the evolution of yachting into a realm where luxury meets sustainability. As the legacy of Silent-Yacht continues to
unfold, the Silent 60, 80, and 120 models emerge as the epitome of luxury and sustainability. These vessels represent a culmination of years
of research, innovation, and dedication to environmental stewardship. According to Austrian newspaper articles Asap
Trading, the holding company of Silent-Yachts, is in danger of going bankrupt due to 45.8
million in debt. The article also describes two possible approaches
that are being thought of to lessen the effects. The first is allowing individual clients to
purchase boats that are only partially finished in Turkey and complete them themselves. Transferring litigation risks to a litigation
financier, including demands for damages and overpayment reimbursements, is the second
tactic being investigated. Silent-Yachts have issued the following statement
amidst the rumours of bankruptcy : Silent-Yachts, with its shipyard in Fano, Italy, is currently
operating normally. However, the discontinuation of a subcontractor,
which produced a significant portion of catamarans, has prompted the company to undergo a restructuring
phase. The goal is to transition from a founder-funded
entity to an investor-funded one, led by experienced industry professionals. Substantial investments are being made by
investors and supportive customers who have expressed their commitment, demonstrating
unwavering belief in the product, dedication to the brand, and trust in its founders. These positive changes are expected to enhance
the company's growth potential, fostering a lean and efficient organisational structure
that focuses on the production of solar electric boats under the Silent-Yachts brand in Italy. The shift to modular series production is
scheduled for March 2024. In this approach, all yacht components will
be arranged side by side in a shed, enabling simultaneous installations rather than sequential
ones. This method of repeatable processes significantly
reduces throughput times, minimises costs, and enhances product quality. Founders Michael and Heike K hler are transitioning
management responsibilities at Silent-Yachts to COO Fabrizio Iarrera. They will continue to contribute to the company
in sales and development capacities, and will serve as brand ambassadors. Fabrizio Iarrera's successful track record
in setting up and efficiently leading shipyards, as demonstrated in his past roles with some
of the leading companies in the industry, positions him well to guide Silent-Yachts
toward increased efficiency and profitability . It is well known that Silent-Yachts serves
as a contractor for a portion of the catamaran built by VisionF. The following statement has been released
by them. "We are aware that our brand name appeared
in some publications regarding the situation surrounding Silent-Yachts. VisionF Yachts business continues to operate
as normal. We would like to clarify a few things. VisionF BV has entered into various contracts
with Silent-Yachts with respect to sale and purchase of 24 units. According to these contracts a substantial
amount of work has been done afterwards and regarding these work, VisionF BV has substantial
receivable amount from Silent-Yachts. Today VisionF BV is still incurring costs
for these projects and will definitely take necessary steps to recover these losses. VisionF BV is not the owner of any yard in
Turkey. It is correct that it has a business partnership
with VisionF Yat ?l?k A.?., located in Tuzla, Istanbul, but these two companies are totally
different organizations". Silent-Yachts remains steadfast in its mission
to redefine yachting, not just as a luxury pursuit but as a sustainable lifestyle choice. As the company sets sail into uncharted waters,
it does so with the wind of innovation at its back and the promise of a brighter, more
sustainable future on the horizon. What do you think the future of solar yachting
