- Hi guys. Welcome back to NautiStyles. Some of you have been
begging us for the last year to bring you a tour of the
new SILENT yacht model. And we had to come all the way out here just to film this tour. Welcome to Port Adriano, Mallorca, Spain. (chill music) We're on board a SILENT 60.
Brand new model. Hull #1. Let's check her out! (water splashing) (seagull sounds) (chill music) First and most important,
make sure you stay all the way to the end for the outtakes. If you guys interested in
learning more about our liveaboard lifestyle
and possibly joining us on one of these yacht tours, definitely check out our Patreon page. Hello to our Patreons! From Mallorca! - [Rico] Hello to our Patreons,
thanks for the support and for the interest in
a liveaboard lifestyle. Should we check it out? - Yeah. Why are you still
over there on the dock? I think you should come on board. - [Rico] Yeah. - Come on. Let's do it. Coming! So a couple of years ago, we
were one of the first to film a tour of SILENT 55, first
one to the U.S. market. If you guys haven't seen that tour, you can check it out right
here on your mobile device. There will be a little pop up or I will put a link in the description underneath the video. Well, welcome to the huge sugar scoop. - [Rico] That is a really
large sugar scoop, actually. It's bigger than what we normally see on catamarans, I think. - I felt like when we were
prepping for this tour, that we coming to do this, we were going to be
comparing it to the 55. But I feel like this one is in its own.. What do we call that? Class. Yeah. It is definitely a massive
step up from the 55. It's different, very different. And so I think we're just going
to treat it as its own thing and not really going to compare it to anything that we've seen in the past. - [Rico] So let's see what we have here on the port side sugar scoop. You have a very large
foldable swim ladder. - You guys know my pet peeve. How cool this is, just
comes out that much longer. And it's really easy to get
on and off. Pretty nice. - [Rico] Yeah. If you
have a floating docks, like we have a lot in
the U.S., for example, this is the way to go. And the way the passerelle
is positioned here with a pin locking it in the right there. You can turn the passerelle
and actually use it even for a little bit further
away from your floating dock. - That's very true. Yeah. That's nice. - [Rico] Yeah. And there's
rollers on the other end. So even if you move a
little bit, no problem, it rolls around. - Definitely. I see they even
a little chafing thing here. - [Rico] Nice, large grab rail. - These are really huge compartments here. - [Rico] Yeah. These are engine
room or electric motor room. Of course, one on each side. We're going to show these later. Transom shower. - Oh, I thought it was a phone. - [Rico] You can use it as a
phone. You want to pick it up? - [Victoria] Hello. No! (laughs) He almost did it. He was really close. - [Rico] It's dripping already. - You were really close. I better watch out with you. I feel like one day, you're just going to
do it to me on camera. - [Rico] Let's check out the cockpit. Oh, that is pretty vast. - It's huge. There's a
great seating area here. Dining area, you can have
dinner for eight, easily. Put some chairs around. You guys know how much I
like reversible backrests, but they do have a tendency
that people don't know how to use them, break pretty easily. These are really cool. They're on sliders and
they slide right here. There's a track. Check it out. - [Rico] Oh, okay. Yeah. So they're much stronger. And I like this, I think
this will be, maybe, maybe I should change it on
our future boat build list. - [Rico] So then we have three very large storage compartments. We should probably open one. - [Victoria] Yeah. Let's do it - [Rico] Want to open this one here? - [Victoria] Which one, this one? - [Rico] Yeah. - [Victoria] Oh, wow. - [Rico] Lots of storage here. So here right now we have
stand up paddle boards stored in there. - [Victoria] Four stand up
paddle boards. This is huge. - [Rico] Their pretty big. And
then we have three of them. - So, what else do we have here? We run this really fast. Passed by it. Oh, they put an extra cooler in here. - [Rico] And it's not one
of these built-in ones. It's actually Dometic, which
is pretty cool because you can, you know, cool things
down and grab this thing and go take it to a
beach run or something. - [Victoria] That's very true. - [Rico] It's kind of cool. - And on the other side, you
basically have exact same space for lines. You know, maybe some smaller
fenders, or maybe, you know, like your snorkeling stuff
and stuff to drain out. - [Rico] That's brilliant. - [Victoria] Yeah. That's
a good little space here. - [Rico] Okay. So here on
the starboard sugar scoop, same thing, another swim ladder. All-access to the motor electrical room. Oh, another transom shower. - [Victoria] Another transom
shower. And we also have... - [Rico] A hose workup for wash down. - [Victoria] Wash down. There's a... - [Rico] Short power inlet. And then we have the tender
lift hydraulic swim platform, which if you lower it down, you're getting a pretty
good connection between the two sugar scoops and have a large entertainment beach club area. - If it's down, it's like beach club and up here is a great spot for
just hanging out sundowners. - [Rico] Yup. Keep going - [Victoria] Should we go forward? - [Rico] Go forward. - [Victoria] Okay. The one thing that
really stands out here is everything feels a lot taller and bigger. Like the rails are tall. Look at this cute,
little sitting area here. - [Rico] Didn't we have
that on the 55 too? - Yeah. I said we
weren't going to compare. - [Rico] We're not going to compare. - But it is a really cool feature. - [Rico] But the 55 had it too. - [Victoria] Yeah. It had a really cute, like next to the bar. So you can sit and just
receive a drink here. - [Rico] And this window
you can open, right? On both sides? - [Victoria] Correct. And
our galley area is behind it. So it's great for little cross
breeze, when you're cooking. Got some hatches, we're going forward. - [Rico] Flush deck hatches. - It's neat how this is carved out. So you're when you're walking, you're not going to hit your head. Cause obviously if it was
straight, it would be a lot lower. - [Rico] Obviously, they
put this overhang on and maximize the roof
space for the solar panels. - Exactly. So that's why
everything just feels like the, also the overhang above
the cockpit is humongous. Look how tall this is. It's very safe. - [Rico] Yes. - Look at these windows.
They're really tall. - [Rico] Really large windows. - [Victoria] All right. Coming forward. - [Rico] So we have a solid
foredeck, no trampolines, like on most other power catamarans. - Beautiful little... - [Rico] Princess seats. - It looks like a pretty
large princess can sit here. (laughs) The modern princess seats. - [Rico] Yeah. Yeah. - How about we start in
order and just move that way. - [Rico] Okay. So do you
want me to open this? - Yes. - Here we have. - [Victoria] Your voice just
went up, like a couple of... - (high pitch) Here we have... Here we have a crew quarters. - [Victoria] All right. You're going in? - Yep. Going to check it out. - [Victoria] I like it. Sending him in. (chill music) - Oh, that's actually pretty comfortable. - [Victoria] Here you
go. Show us what you see. - It's fully finished. We have all the walls
are completely finished. Same finishes like on
the rest of the boat. - [Victoria] Turns out you already been in the rest of the boat, good to know. - [Rico] I did. I snooped. So we got a single bunk here
for captain or crew member. A really generous wardrobe right here with another storage
underneath, all the way forward. So you have the hatch overhead
and then you still have a porthole right here
on the outboard side, which comes in pretty handy. if you don't want to
use the air conditioner, at least you can create
some cross ventilation. And then even here,
there's another storage. I mean, that's a lot of storage for a smaller crew area here. There's no head or shower or sink here. So I will assume it's on the other side. - [Victoria] All right.
Let's check that out next. So a lot of the times you would talk about how do you use the boat and
application is really important Immediately when people see crew quarter, they think that it might be for a captain. Not necessarily. This is a 60-foot yacht. A lot of people will be
able to owner operate it. So it's nice to have a
space for maybe a deckhand when certain situations,
maybe a chef coming on board, just for certain times,
when you are entertaining a little larger group. Maybe you have a diving
instructor coming with you for on the trip. So just like that--- - [Rico] How about a massage therapist? Hairdresser? - I've got nothing. (laughs) - [Rico] No. Even if you
don't use it for crew and you just have, you
know, a single family member who wants to come along, but
you're running out of beds. - It's a great overflow space, obviously space for extra things that you want to maybe, store. You know, you live aboard, one
operator and you just have, you know, a lot of things
to carry if you're going to go cruise. So anyway, just to want
to put it out there that you guys don't think like, oh my God, someone is stuffing a
captain into that cabin. It's full-time. I feel like on the yachts like this, that's normally not the case. That's not gonna happen. - [Rico] Speaking of it,
let's check out the other side and see what we have here. - [Victoria] And for a catamaran setup, this is very, very common. Here he goes again. (chill music) People keep asking me about your pants. I guess I should include
them in a description. - But it should not be a big captain. - [Victoria] No. This is it, you're at the max? - [Rico] Can't have broad shoulders. - [Victoria] Okay. Well
you've got broad shoulders. - [Rico] I do? - [Victoria] I think so. - [Rico] Thank you. - [Victoria] You're welcome. - [Rico] All right. What do we have here? A wet head. Faucet, sink here. Again, another window with a porthole. You have your separate shower head here. And of course we have the
floor drain I'm standing on. And still more storage. That's
a huge storage here actually. Like, you guys can see
this. It's pretty large. And another big storage
next to it. Very practical. And then we have an
electric head right there. It's a, yeah, good space. - [Victoria] All right. Let's
open up some of these. Yeah? Start here. Okay fine. - [Rico] This one you can open up. - We don't have Andre to assist
today, do it's all on me. - All right, we got a
stern or second anchor like compartment here. - [Victoria] All on shocks. - All right. The windlass
here, anchor access, and anchor chain. And then there was a deck wash over there to rinse your anchor
chain and your anchor, when you pull it back up. Stainless steel anchor chain
and stainless steel anchor. - [Victoria] Your footsie remote here. - [Rico] Yep. Your windlass
remotes are right there. - [Victoria] I'm pretty sure
that wasn't the official word. - [Rico] The footsie remote? I think they're planning on changing it to footsie remote, actually. - [Victoria] I should patent it. - [Rico] Yeah. Oh, wow. - [Victoria] Hello. - [Rico] So a huge, huge
storage locker here for, I mean, whatever you want to put it in here, you can put fenders, lines. You don't even need to
deflate your fenders when you pop them in here. - [Victoria] This is massive. - [Rico] Well just toys. Extra toys. - [Victoria] That'd be
great for water toys. Right? You can also put dive
bottles and stuff in here, too. All right. What's in the center here? - Super stoked about this Should we show you?
Come on, let's show it. - He's so excited. - Let's just lift this
over and put it back down. - How about I film you, buddy. - [Rico] Drum roll. - [Victoria] Yeah, what
do you guys think of this? - [Rico] Quick guess what are
we going to show you guys now. - Put it in the comments right
now. Just a quick comment. Tell us what you think this is. - [Rico] I'm going to pan down. - [Victoria] This is a hint. See if you guys can get what this is. - [Rico] All right. I'm going to relieve the... - [Victoria] Relieve? Don't relieve. - [Rico] The excited people. There we go. Okay. If you still don't know. (laughs) If you still don't know what it is. - [Victoria] Okay Rico, tell
us what this contraption is. - This is a kite system, and I'm super stoked about this, because I've been interested
in this for a while already. I know they're using
it on commercial boats for long crossings, for
fuel saving reasons. I've not seen it on a recreational
vessel installed, so far. - [Victoria] You have seen it,
you showed me videos of it. - I saw it on YouTube. I guess,
of YouTube videos about it. - [Victoria] Like retrofitting
it onto other boats. - Even on regular power boats,
like trawlers and so on. Like boats, which do long
distance, so it's not something you would do for, you know,
like a two-hour journey. But if you do like longer
crossings, deliveries, that sort of stuff. I can't wait to try this system out or a system like this out. - [Victoria] You told me
like, container ships do this. - Yeah. They have it on
Freighters and container ships. - [Victoria] Okay, explain. - [Rico] So there's going to be a pole, which is going to be,
you know, mounted here. You have four tie-down points, you know, where you strap it down. - [Victoria] Okay, yeah,
these are the points. - [Rico] These are the
points. And then, yeah, so the kite is in here. So it's technically an
oversized kiteboarding kite. So you blow it, you
inflate the frame of it, you throw it in the water. It's usually laying upside down. And once you pull one side, it comes up. These systems are designed
to launch themselves once the kite is in the water. And once the kite is up floating, it's designed to do figure eights in the perfect height and
a perfect degree change from the right to the left side in order to get the most pull and
force out of the kite. - [Victoria] What kind
of speeds are we talking. Like projected. - On this boat what I've
heard earlier, is that they're projecting to get an
increase of about four knots, maybe a little more. But they're still in the
testing phase of this, because it's a brand new model. - [Victoria] I mean,
that's pretty massive. - Yes. And of course it's mainly
downwind. You can fall off. I don't know what the degree number is. Definitely like to look
into it a little bit more. - [Victoria] Do you need to be a sailor in order to run such a
system on your powerboat? - No. - [Victoria] You don't need to know much? No! Wow, that's interesting. - You just need to have a little bit of technical understanding,
I guess, and make sure that you don't get the lines
somewhere in your props or something when you retrieve the kite, or when you launch the kite. - [Victoria] So two
perfect worlds collide. You can have a power yacht, and you can do a little bit of sailing. - So, especially on a project like SILENT which use electric power
for your propulsion. But you're also, kind of limited
of how much you can store of the electric and how much
solar you have on the boat. So having this for longer crossings, I think is an absolute
no-brainer in my opinion, because you dropped down your
power consumption by half. Let's say you do four knots on the motor, on the electric motors. You launch the kite, you're
getting another four, you're doing eight knots
with a power consumption of four knots. It's brilliant. - [Victoria] That's pretty amazing. - Can we skip the rest of the tour and actually try this out? - [Victoria] Should we
put this on our NBBL list? - I'd like to have one.
I'd like to get in contact with the people as well
and hear more about it. - [Victoria] The people from
kiteboat.com, reach out to us. We're very interested in hearing more. - Kiteboat invite us out for sea-trial on one of the boats that
have that system installed. - [Victoria] (laughs) Shameless plug. All right. I know you guys
want to see that too, so hey. Let's close this back up! Let's drop them some comments
and maybe contact them on Instagram and let them know
that we're very interested in trying this out. Well, that was exciting. And we're not even anywhere
near the half of the tour yet. - [Rico] So let's walk
back here on the port side and go up to the flybridge. - Sounds good. (chill music) - [Rico] Really wide walkways too. - So we have two of these actually. Pretty neat on each side. And like you said, you have the windows, with two seating areas. - [Rico] Yeah. So that
will be me in the morning, like, kind of like this,
"Can I have a coffee please?" - [Victoria] Who are you asking exactly? - Myself. I'll probably already put it there and then just grab it from there. (laughs) - All right. Look at this
overhang. It is just massive. Look at this, the height of it. - [Rico] Wow. It is crazy, crazy tall. - [Rico] So now, like
actually getting a perspective with you standing there.
It's pretty amazing. - Have some built-in speakers there. Obviously the overhead lights. And, check out the flybridge? - [Rico] Yeah. - Okay. Let's do it. - [Rico] Which on this
model is a very similar to the one on the 55. You have the hydraulic roof,
which you can lower down. - This roof completely
lowers down to make it flush. - [Rico] If you don't use the flybridge, to not have any shadowing
effect like we have right now. Like, look at the solar panels here. You see, like these back
panels here right now are on the shade, because
we have this one up. If you lower it down, the entire surface gets the equal amount of sun. - [Victoria] Yep. - [Rico] And you get more energy. - Makes sense. Well, welcome to the flybridge of the SILENT 60. It is a pretty good size. - [Rico] It definitely feels
a lot bigger than on the 55. Not that we compare it. - Well, you guys have to,
again, think about application. The main goal here is
to be as self-sufficient on solar power as possible. So of course this flybridge
could have been bigger, but it is a compromise that's made for maximizing the solar power
that is onboard of this vessel. Which is on top of this, that,
and that whole thing there. So we have some layout
cushions here. These are neat. You can put them up. - [Rico] Oh, that is nice.
Yeah. That is really nice. - So you can set them in
whichever height you want. In order to put these
down, you got to put it all the way forward and
then it goes down like that. Cool, right? We have a convertible table,
which we can make a lot larger. Is it a high-low? - [Rico] Yep. - Okay, cool. - [Rico] It is a high-low table, and probably has support underneath. - Yeah, exactly. It could be
a proper dining table here. So you can sit with a bunch of people. Since it has a reversible backrest here, so you can just flip this over.
See what I'm saying? Yeah. Like that. And that's
going to be your seat for the table here. - [Rico] Nice. - Yep. What's with the helm? - [Rico] So wait a minute. This is turning as well,
when you lower the roof down. - Oh, yeah. It has to. That makes sense. - [Rico] So just looking at
the profile where the roof was getting set in, actually,
which is this little lip here, which goes all the way around. That's where the roof will sit in, once it's lowered all the way down. So, of course the console will not fit the way it's sitting right now. So the console has to turn. - Well, it says fold the console
before lowering the roof. - [Rico] So you do it manually. - You do it manually. Yeah. - [Rico] So the console
needs to be turned around and it's going to sit here underneath, and then you can lower the roof. - [Victoria] There, see. - [Rico] Yep. Don't do it. Don't do it. - It's fine. It goes like that. - [Rico] Don't break it. - All right. There's
no steering wheel here. - [Rico] No steering wheel. Okay. So we have our engine
throttle and shift controls right here for the electric engines. Two Simrad Chartplotters
and multi-function displays. Start here on the right-hand side. A C Zone remote for your lights,
for your navigation lights. And we have a chain counter,
anchor remote control right here. Right next to it is a monitor
where you see all your energy consumption and levels. Then we have the helm right next to it. It's a Simrad. So it's
kind of like a joystick, just, you know, you
have this little lever, which controls your rudders. Really cool. At the same time, it's your autopilot. Here we do have the remote
control for the flare camera, which is a night vision camera. C Zone panel right here. And then two bow thrusters right there. Plus the VHF radio, which
is right next to it. - [Victoria] And? - [Rico] Cup holders! - [Victoria] Oh boy. - [Rico] And cup holders. Yeah, so everything's
straightforward. Pretty easy. Very, very organized. - Ready to check out the interior? - [Rico] Ready to check out the interior. - It is very different. Let's do it. - [Rico] It's nice and
breezy up here, actually. - Yeah, let's go. So here's our control panel for the roof. - [Rico] Oh, and I guess
when you have it up, if you want to secure
it, you have these hooks which go probably in
somewhere to just give it some extra stability. - Makes sense. Okay. (chill music) Let's check out the interior. Massive sliding door. (chill music) - [Rico] And then you can
still open the window as well. - This here too. That's pretty sweet. That definitely maximizes
your entertainment space. It opens all the way out here. Fine. I'll demonstrate it all the way. Check that out. So as you enter it immediately,
you're in the galley. That's a really good size Galley! You're only seeing half of
it because the other half is actually where Rico is standing. So, it does give you a lot
of space. Where do I start? Do I start with the fridge? - [Rico] Start with a side by side. - No, actually there is a storage
area here and I like that. It's nice and tall. You can
put a vacuum in here, which is, you know, usually you don't
know where to put the vacuum. You've got a big extinguisher
here for your galley. Really important. And side by side fridge and a freezer. And here we have tons of
drawers and it's a lot to open, but I'll open some. - [Rico] Lots of countertop space. - And I like how they
did these, so, you know, you have a little bit more space here. If you spend a lot of time on the boat, I think we'll probably put like
some bottles of oil, maybe, you know, just some kind
of sauces and things that you use all the time. Actually right there, right, because you've got the stove there. - [Rico] Yeah. And there's the rail, the exact same rail, like over the entire
length of the countertop. - [Victoria] That's really cool. - [Rico] That is super cool. - I would definitely use it for sure. I mean, you would put some stuff away on maybe longer crossings, but it's going to be totally safe. So this is actually a really
nice rack here for extra stuff. You can move it over. And then on the port
side, I know what this is. - [Rico] Dishwasher! - [Victoria] Dishwasher. What is that
brand? I don't know this brand. - [Rico] German brand, Hafele. - Really? Hafele? - [Rico] Hafele. - Hafele. Trash right here. Tons of
drawers. Good sized sink. Oh, it's all this brand, Hafele. Okay, an induction zone. So technically it's a
three burner cooktop. That's kind of cool. So
you can do a half zone? Booster zone. Never seen that before. Fancy coffee machine. Whole line of drawers and more drawers. Full-size oven. Yeah, I mean everything you
need in a galley is here. It's great. Yeah. Very nice. - [Rico] Let's keep going
then. Let's explore the rest. - You're pushing me from the galley. This is such a cool add
on. I really like that. That rail thing. - [Rico] So there we see the windows, which are openable on
both sides. Kind of cool. - So on this yacht, the
first thing I'm sure that jumps at you guys is how tall it is. I have no idea, but I'm
going to like take a guess. It's over 10 feet. It
is super, super tall. Further models that are going up, actually the height will
be a little bit raised. So it's going to be this
height, which is still super, super tall. And you're going to have a
bit more storage and space on the bottom because
technically you don't. - [Rico] So the next SILENT
60s built are going to have? - Yeah, this size. - [Rico] All to that level. - All to this level. Exactly. Which is still really, really tall. Here we also have some storage
drawers. Pretty nice size. Check that out. Your TV lift is right there. - [Rico] The interior dining area, seating for a lot of people. - It's very large. Definitely. It's actually a humongous table. Wow. Yeah, 10 people. And as we come forward,
we have our helm seat and our helm station. Oh, this is a nice seat. Oh, look, it's got all this cushion. Helm bench. Yeah. It's a helm bench. And
then also you have these there. Cute. Okay fine, I'll let you do the rest. - [Rico] You got the helm,
which pretty much, oh, we have a Dockmate here too, as well, which I didn't see on the upper helm, but here we do have it on the lower helm. So you can just hang that around your neck and stand on the stern or side of the boat for docking purposes. So the bow thrusters are tied in there and your main engines are tied in there. And again, we have the C Zone
yacht management system right there. Light switches, chartplotter. There's a Simrad here which
has surveillance cameras for the stern area. Then we got a Simrad here,
have a feed, video feed there from the anchor, which is pretty cool. If you drop the anchor
or you raise the anchor, and you're shorthanded,
at least you can see where is your chain. You know, which direction
do I have to, you know, turn the boat a little bit to starboard or do I have to turn the
boat a little bit to port. Kind of cool. Comes in pretty handy. There is an option for helm wheel, which is not installed at the moment because the setup they're using right now is exactly this Simrad with
the rudder control here and is also your autopilot. And the chain counter.
Your energy management. All thrusters. We have two bow
thrusters, one on each side. A second independent
autopilot system right here. And the VHF radio. Conventional old-school compass. And the shift and throttle
controls right there. Air condition remote control. Yep. That's it. - And there's a little
bit of storage right here. - [Rico] And then what's underneath here? - [Victoria] Oh, I don't know. - [Rico] I'll just
check it out. Batteries. So the house bank on this boat, which is supplying all
the power for the 220, because it's a European system. Volt supply system is 10kW.
So the size of it is 10kW. So all the solar power
gets fed into this first. Once that one is filled up,
it fills up the engine bank. So there are three independent
banks for the engine. And it's 210kW. So it's
quite a big capacity. - [Victoria] 14 batteries each. - 14 batteries each, exactly Banks there underneath here. - [Victoria] You can show
us one. Maybe that one Cause you see it the best, right? - This one? - [Victoria] Yeah, I think so. Okay. - [Rico] Right there. - [Victoria] Hello batteries. - [Rico] There we go. - [Victoria] Wow, look
all the way over there. - [Rico] Yup. Lots of batteries. - [Victoria] That's a lot of batteries. - So with these 210kW this boat
can cruise around five knots for about 18 hours. 180kW, because you don't
want to go down to zero. Down to 20% is okay. And then you'll want to recharge it, which you can do with
a generator or solar or shore power. If you go all the way up to eight knots, which is not the most
efficient speed for this boat, but if you want it to, you will get approximately cruising time
of about three to four hours, give or take. - [Victoria] So if you do short hops and you want to go faster. - You do your eight
knots, yeah, no problem. Yeah. Just moving anchorages
for your half an hour cruise or something like this, you
don't really need to worry about draining your engine
batteries' bank too much. - [Victoria] And if you do long crossing? - And, if you do long crossing, you drop it down to a slower speed. You use your kite and you
still do your eight knots, but you're actually only burning power of the speed of four knots. So that's kind of cool. - [Victoria] It's so exciting
where their whole technology is going. Because I feel like
the conversation we had when we filmed the 55, which
was like almost two years ago, is already quite different. Just the efficiency of the batteries, the efficiency of the solar
panels, already changed so much. Right? So now it's just a matter
of another couple of years to see where that's
going. It's so exciting. - And then once we check out
later on the engine room, we're going to see on the
port side on this vessel is a fairly large generator, which is always there as a backup. If you do longer crossings, deliveries, transfers of the yacht
from one spot to another, where you have to make up big distances, there's a Volvo D3 with 180kW, 220 or 170kW. I think it's like 220 horsepower. So fairly large generator there, which can supply your
main engines with power and charge the battery
bank at the same time. So you're just running it
for an hour to three hours and then you're back to silent mode and just use your battery power up again. Even if you wouldn't
have any sunshine at all, you got them through the night. - [Victoria] Interesting. Let's see the cabins. - [Rico] All right. Where
do we start? Starboard side? - I think we start on the port side. - [Rico] 2 cabins? - Yeah. So on this yacht, the setup we have is we have two cabins here on the port side, one cabinet on the starboard side and we have the master
all the way forward. - [Rico] Nice. - [Victoria] Okay. Ready? - [Rico] Let's go. - All right. Come on
down. Let's go aft first. - [Rico] Okay. - Bright and airy. Oh
wow. This is a big bed. - [Rico] Yeah. That's like
a king-sized bed, for sure. - And you have a porthole
here, porthole right there. A little like getting ready. If you need to have a little break here from each other in the bed. (laughs) All right. We have a large size
closet here. Hanging locker. This yacht just arrived, you guys,
like a couple of weeks ago, they're still commissioning
and doing some stuff. This is interesting. It's completely open. So you can, you know, have
kind of an open space here to store things. - [Rico] Lots of windows. - Yeah. I like the way
that they did the heads, the bathrooms. - [Rico] Yeah that is so
cool with the glass here. - If this was a solid wall, it would feel a lot more claustrophobic. This is very open and nice. - [Rico] And you still get
some regular daylight in because of the glass here. - Yeah. I agree, it's
nice. I do like that a lot. - [Rico] So then we have
the faucet right there. Electric head. Lots of storage. - Lots actually. I would add some shelves. - [Rico] What about the shower
size wise? What do you think? - It's a good size. It's
definitely a two person shower. The door here's a pocket door. Saves you a little bit of room. And then on this side, what's this? - [Rico] So we're out on the cabin outside of the cabin again,
so here's the cabin door. - [Victoria] Just a little storage space. - [Rico] Just an extra storage. - Since they had room
here, they added it in. - [Rico] And entering the forward cabin. - All the cabins on this
yacht are different. So you definitely can decide. I feel like you're going to
be assigning based on how much you like people that are
coming on board. (laughs) So I would say you're aft cabin
is probably the smaller one. This is a larger cabin for sure here. - [Rico] Look at the amount of windows. - Yep. So you have a lot of windows. You have that whole line of windows. It is the silent look that we now know. And you have three portholes
that you can open up. Same exact head. So no compromises here. This is a little different. - [Rico] Yeah, an electric
head, single sink, with a beautiful faucet. - [Victoria] Really good, tight shower. And the way the cabinets is, oh wait, let's look at these. - [Rico] That's a lot of
storage on the outer wall. - Yeah, for sure. I am opening it up. I'm also opening it up, because
we're only here in Mallorca for a couple of days
and I want to make sure we don't miss anything. And you know, later you guys are like, "You didn't open something!". - [Rico] This almost
feels like you're VIP, but I know there is another
VIP on the other side. So this is a pretty generous cabin here. - This is a really good
sized cabin for sure. Check this out. Wow. I could live in here. - [Rico] And then you still have your little desk area there. - A little step up here.
You're working desk here. It's actually empty here, Could have been a little storage here. The reason you gain so
much room in the cabins is because they opt for not
having a walk around bed. So it's a bit of a trade-off,
because if you've really got to have the walk around bed,
then obviously the layout will be different and
you would not be able to have so much space in the cabin. Most of the time you're just
sleeping. So you go with that. From that perspective, I would rather take a
larger cabin with space. - [Rico] Let me go around here, so I get you from the other side. What's this here? More storage. - [Victoria] And look at the
size of this drawer. Holy moly. - [Rico] Almost missed it. - [Victoria] Hello, big drawer. And now we're going to go to the... - [Rico] VIP. Starboard Side - He's talking over me, I can't take it. - [Rico] Starboard side VIP. Chop chop. (chill music) - This is why I open everything. - [Rico] Washer and dryer combo. - Yes. It's a combo unit. And you have a little bit
of space here. Come on down. This is our VIP. Why? Because it's the
whole size of this hull basically, until we get to
the master, which is forward. So same thing here. Look at this. I actually feel like the
size of this is very similar to the other cabin we just came from. - [Rico] Yeah. - So same thing. We've got... got storage, storage, more storage, drawer underneath
the bed, more storage. - [Rico] Again, pretty large windows. - And... what's here? Wow. This is just great
amount of storage everywhere. - [Rico] Oh, so we have
it separately actually, even though it's one cabin. - Yeah. You can close
it up and you will have a completely separate head here. - [Rico] I like that. - You do? - [Rico] I mean, yeah,
otherwise you would have to put a door right here, which
could be a possibility. - Yeah. I think it's just a
resolution the way they did it. Instead of putting that door here, you just have a door. I mean,
it is your private space here. And there's plenty of
room here to get ready. What do you think of this shower? - [Rico] That's huge. - Yeah. That's definitely a two person. Maybe even a three-person shower. - [Rico] With a very nice view. - Yeah. Pretty nice. What is that next to us? Looks cool. Okay. So storage wise,
we have medicine cabinet. I would definitely add some shelves. See here. You have your
access to everything, but you also have plenty of
storage down there to put stuff. You also have this open shelves. And another storage right there. - [Rico] How about the master? - How about? People said I
should start calling it, primary. So let's try it. How about the primary? (chill music) Tada! Welcome. - [Rico] Oh, that's cool - [Victoria] To the primary state room. - [Rico] That is really cool. - Is this a California king? - [Rico] No, that's a king. - [Victoria] That's a king? - [Rico] Yeah. Nice walk around massive nightstands. - [Victoria] Yeah, they're huge. I don't even know what you
do with them. They're so big. Your hatches are right
here, which are, you know, one on each side and they're
technically escape hatches, but also, of course,
great for ventilation. You can open them up. It's nice at night. - [Rico] That's gonna be really nice. - Workstation here. Some
storage. Check these out. What? - [Rico] Wow, they're huge. - Yeah. And it goes all the way in there and you've got a safe right here. So that's a huge amount of space and you'll have that on both sides. Check it out. Cool, huh? - [Rico] Yes. - And our head is actually down
here on the starboard side. We have a separate shower here. Same size as the VIP
cabin behind us. Sorry. - [Rico] Really cool. - Yeah, behind us. That's right. Would you like to come in? - [Rico] Okay. - I'm not serious, Rico.
I'm not ser--(laughs) Dork. Dork. - [Rico] That's a very large sink. - Yeah. So we have a sink here. We have storage down there and
also a medicine cabin here. Wow. That's deep. And if you're
wondering where the head is, it's a separate head. - [Rico] Oh, I like that. - I know you would. For all you private head, people. - [Rico] Got a porthole right there. - Important - [Rico] Storage space right here. - Well, I think everyone is dying to see the motor compartment. Engine Room. So why don't you show it to us. (chill music) - So let's go outside, check
out the engine compartment on the port side, because
that one has the generator. Other than that, they
are pretty much the same. (chill music) And then what we talked about,
the swim platform earlier. The capacity of the platform
is about 600 kilogram. That's plenty to put a
decent size tender on it. So this here is a huge
access hatch, access door. - [Victoria] Yeah. I
would say, I'd definitely call it a door for sure. Wow. Okay. - That's amazing, right? - [Victoria] That is a great access. - Okay. Let's go and
take a look at things. - [Victoria] Oh yeah,
now you can actually tell how big it is. - Yeah. - [Victoria] Oh, you're in it. - [Rico] So everybody's
always asking is like, "So how big is the electric motor?" It's right there. That's it.
That is the electric motor. Of course we have one on each side. Then it's a straight shaft. So if I lift this up here,
you will be able to see. There we go. Shaft goes
straight through here. And then we have our dripless
shaft seal. Pretty cool. Here's a double watermaker and salt. So technically two watermakers.
And these are 24 volt. They have a capacity
of 150 liters an hour, which is roughly... We'll convert it and put
it in the specs. (laughs) But somewhere around, like, I want to say like 37,
38 gallons an hour each and that's pretty impressive
for a 24 volt system. And then here is the
only generator on board. It's a Volvo Penta D3.
220, so 220 horsepower. There's the generator
part of the generator. Other than that, it's just
a regular Volvo Penta motor. So we have the generator
control right here where we stop and start everything. Have your monitor system right here. I have a fire suppression
system here on the outside. Of course, we have the same, except the generator and the watermaker, but we have the same components
on the starboard side. And then breaker panel mounted
here on the forward wall. And then as you can see,
the engine compartment is completely insulated. So you minimize the sound
pollution when the generator is running or the watermaker is running, because watermaker makes
quite a little bit of noise as well. That's it. I mean the access to get to
things on the starboard side, even more so than on the port side, because you're not going
to have this puppy sitting on the starboard side. - [Victoria] I don't
know if that's a puppy. That's a puppy! That's like a pretty good-sized dog. - It's a puppy. - [Victoria] I think that's
a pretty big dog. (laughs) - I mean the access is phenomenal. Alright - get outta there! I like having that big access door too, because normally you'll
have on other catamarans. What do we have? Usually a small
little access hatch on top. It's usually really
warm in there and so on. So I think this is very
convenient having the bigger door - [Victoria] And you have a shade too. It's a shade overhead. - Well also, normally when
you have the regular hatches you're exposed, because
usually it's in the hulls. There's no room for a roof over it. So if it's raining, it's bad weather. And that's usually when
things are happening, when you have to get into there. You're getting pounded
by the rain or whatever. Like here. This is pretty convenient. Yeah, it's a lot more protected for sure! (chill music) Alrighty, You guys. This completes our full detailed tour of this SILENT 60 Hull #1. Let us know what you thought

That is stupid. (laughs) You don't like the whole NautiPeople? - [Rico] No. - Hola, NautiPeople! (speaks in Spanish) Bienvenidos de Mallorca, Espana. No, I'm kidding. (laughs) Dude. - [Rico] Don't annoy me in the beginning. - Can I do it in the middle of the video? - [Rico] In the middle you can, yeah. Don't do the beginning because
I'm getting frustrated. - (laughs) Seriously? Oh, you're not joking. (laughs) - [Rico] Just get your act together. - What is your problem? What? - [Rico] Awesome. I said awesome. The starboard's the best probably - Wait, what is it? - [Rico] Reversible backrest. - No. No. Convertible. No. Reversible. - [Rico] Reversible backrest. - Yeah. Is it? - [Rico] Yes. - Okay. - Yeah, I like to look forward. - Come sit closer. - Why? - [Victoria] You know how
like you have this funny, like in galleries and stuff, you know, or you do like a drug deal
or like a spy movie thing. You're just like pasta. Or
you just do like (blows). - I'm looking at the art piece over there. - All right, fine you don't
get the joke. Fine. (laughs) - [Rico] Why am I talking so loud? - [Victoria] And why are you
moving the camera so much? Just keep it steady
please. No serious, like. - What's at the helm? - [Rico] What's at the helm? - Why do you always repeat that? (laughs) - [Rico] Why do you always repeat that? - What are you, 12? - [Rico] Only 12? - Yeah. Okay. There's my point. (laughs) There's my point. - [Rico] Oh, that's funny. - [Victoria] That was funny. Who decided that you should
be part of the tours? - [Rico] C'mon let's go. - Hey. Back up, you're too close. - [Rico] Wow. (moans) - I like my little nose.
What's wrong with it? - [Rico] 30% batteries. (gasp) No, you're lying! Okay. - [Rico] This is like
your four person shower. - Oh, come on. - [Rico] Seriously. - Oh boy. All right. Get out. Never invite you in the
shower again. On camera. - [Rico] That's probably really bright. - [Victoria] I won't do it to you. I like you too much. Yeah. I think it was pretty obvious that you're jealous of the size
of this engine compartment. - I am. I am. Oh, this is great. (water splashing) (seagull sounds)
Great walk through. Can't wait to see the 62 trideck
I have watched this twice.
Of all of the SY videos - I really liked this one the best as I got to see more of the thing I was interested in knowing more about.
I would love to see the kite launched and retrieved.
I also am looking forward to seeing a 62 tri deck walk through video.
