But it’s a 32 core Epyc?

Would have interesting to see them to aim a box fan at it and see what the thermals did.

VoodooPC did something very similar to this, back in the day.

Some parts inside are as hot as 130 degrees Celsius. That’s too hot even for my stake.

I like how they have a secondary set of heatsinks that connect to both the CPU and GPU heatsinks with giant heatpipes, and then completely choked them off with the top panel.

These thumbnail images with emphatic facial expressions and click-baity titles is an infection that plagues the internet. If you believe you have a decent channel, you shouldn't have to look like a 5th grader geeked out on adderall.

China makes the best stuff but uses the most junk for their own use lol

holy crap balls this oh is the fanless epic 32 core system we saw an article about it on the internet somewhere i think it was uh a non-tech yeah oh come on it's the only one in the world oh gee and we're gonna check it out and this video is brought to you by glasswire with glasswire you can see your current and past network activity detect malware and block badly behaving apps on your pc or android device use offer code linus to get 25 off at the link below [Music] okay it came to us all the way from china and there is basically no documentation whatsoever but alex with the help of andy who apparently was actually needed as a translator managed to get what okay so the first thing we find in the box aside from some adorable air cushions is a gigantic quad heat pipe cooler of some sort so it's got like a foam jammed in here so that it doesn't get accidentally bent in shipping it's got what looks like some kind of like mounting bracket doodad like spacer thing and then four of the thickest heat pipes that i think i have ever seen on a computer cooler like this is right up there with what you'd get on like a really high-end cpu cooler so this right here is what everyone gets with this chassis but that's not what we have in here okay then oh do you want to know the weight of our cpu heatsink it's two and a half kilograms really yup so it has a five pound cpu cooler on it what's inside box number two so we've got some machined aluminum feet a bunch of little custom tiny heat sinks look like they're for ram chips and mosfets some of those adapter plates presumably that you were talking about before there's for am4 a pci express extension some kind of cold plate of some sort is that vga looks like it must be because it's got like an adjustable screw pattern here and free screwdrivers we do need to like send this to the person that actually owns it oh really yeah wait someone bought this system and then they just like sent it to us first well yeah pretty much i guess i better be careful with it yup well that's it for accessory boxes all right let's put the feet on i guess yeah yeah good call okay it's so heavy yeah the case alone is 10 kilograms okay you know the great thing about aluminum is that it's really lightweight until you have enough of it it gets heavy the whole left and right side of the chassis are these gigantic aluminum fins for cooling and there seems to be more to it than just that so oh when you're using passive convection cooling you kind of rely on the the heat from the fins to raise the air to bring cool air in this way so it seems like it's actually using the front so some heat sink we can't see to have heat rise up this way and then get drawn in from the bottom can you point where it gets drawn in at the bottom all the others here yep right here thank you okay oh we can already see some hints of the sex appeal of this thing that is a gigantic slab of copper on top of the cpu i don't even i don't even actually get that like well we can get to that once we get in there okay all right all right all right all right we can open it up now so at risk of scaring off some of our viewers how much is one of these going to about a thousand bucks oh that's it for the chassis ah i see i see there is a lot more heatsink around the front it's more heatsink than man let's do a quick tour of the internals here so this is apparently a 32 core amd epic processor is that what we've gotten here 75 51. on freaking reel we've got eight sticks of what appears to be samsung 32 gig modules so that gives us a total of 256 gigs of memory curiously a handful of them have copper spreaders on them and the others don't did they offer any explanation for that so i talked to the guy that made it and he said those are toys and i had three of them is that like a lost in translation issue or like uh nope nope yeah i think they were just having fun yeah okay the motherboard is just a pretty standard super micro affair it's like a server slash workstation board not a ton of i o like a server board and it's got remote management like a server board but you could use it as a workstation board because it's got lots of pci express slots most of them are covered though by our graphics card right here and i actually don't know what this is i would guess uh 2060 2070. this is a weird cooling configuration so we'll start with the cpu it's got what appears to be a giant solid brick of copper mounted to it is that correct yep that's the two and a half kilogram okay then it's got these four big heat pipes like the ones that we saw in that package that we took out and then it's got this top aluminum hold down plate and then it's just got like what looks to be about another pound of thermal compound gooped into the gaps and then this is smooshed on with these eight hex screws am i am i yup catching it all so far what's quite curious to me is that there's actually room in here for four more heat pipes it's because apparently when you make a case like this the hard part isn't the thermals it's just compatibility also depending on where the socket is you can kind of put these heat pipes like wherever yeah so he had like a great big chart of the socket position of all of the different motherboards and kind of had to plan out how this is made based around where it's going to be on all of the different motherboards so these four seem to go over here okay so this is basically taking away a bunch of the cpu heat and then these ones are interesting so these seem to go all the way over to the front here and then this heat sink is connected to this heat sink with these heat pipes that go all the way from here all the way around to here like that must be a two foot heat pipe and they're all eight millimeter too like those are not small these are heat tunnels that's his joke no that was twitter's joke actually twitter joke all right i'm not taking responsibility for that as for our graphics card over here this also gets four eight millimeter heat pipes with a similar cooling configuration so these two pipes go up this way these ones come all the way down to the bottom here now these are actually two separate heat sinks so we've got one two three four five six sort of cooling units here and then once again we've got big long ones that go all the way from the end of this one to the end of the front one so really the primary coolers for both the cpu and the gpu are the side ones and then this third one is accessible to both of them for overspill in the non-tech article yes it actually said that after a 22-hour full cpu full gpu neither of them throttled really they've gone and put just a bunch of what looks like kind of commodity cheapo aluminum heat sinks onto their custom plate with just thermal compound am i missing something here nope and so for some gpus they'll have like their own cooler yeah but for others they'll create these completely custom ones like this right here power supply now i see you've got a couple of options for power supplies over there yeah so it officially supports sfx power supplies but i really want to just see if we can fit in the fanless power supply because you know it's families that's full atx isn't it yeah but there's like some holes here okay let's try it actually one more thing about the case you know how you said that this right here and like these two bits are two different bits do you want to know why that is uh because it was too big to manufacture a bigger one oh it's actually because why a lot of fanless case makers go under is just because of quality control so like each one of these is super expensive to make and if they get scratched at all it's a complete write-off because people that buy fanless cases are really really particular yeah if you scratch one of them up you can pull one of them off yeah or you can even flip it around and put the scratch on the inside where they're not going to see it hopefully i didn't scratch up the front of this case while i had it sitting on its front then all right power supply time now that's probably my favorite power supply on the market so oh the fanless sadie plus titanium is so cool and you were right that is what those holes appear to be for wow this is a tight fit no wonder they have these little rubber pads on the top of the cpu cooler so the power supply actually sits right on here i just noticed how balls oh you're totally cheating he's like i have a feeling it's for that there's literally a baggie in the box that i literally just saw no you're no you sound like you're talking to the cops they don't believe you oh that's not my bag i was holding it for a friend i just saw it for the first time in my life i never saw that bag before in my life that's it just add water or a power supply and an ssd well but do you know how you can add water yes lttstore.com [Laughter] got a wide mouth we'll be back in a sec do we have any towels okay thanks matthias i'm gonna truth time you ready yep sort of anticlimactic isn't it yeah there's just nothing ikvm doesn't support add-on oh i think that's why they were saying we might have to actually disconnect the discrete graphics card oh look do i look like i want to do it the thermal paste i know okay we need to find jumper jpb1 got it tell me you're working so it's just getting random gobbledygook inputs from nothing you're just supposed to short those pins in between the ipmi thing and that's so stupid i hate it day two so they wanted ami native support for these two there's a dead mosquito in here we're gonna see it look for it hey there it is that was so much easier yeah now that the bios is updated it's no problem whatsoever can i cover it now you know what's the most surprising thing about this machine to me what the fact that i can't hear it at all even though coil noise maximum temp is in the 31 to 32 degree range that's pretty sweet you are officially hotter than this computer oh thank you yeah it looks like that at idle it's like 36 degrees now let's go ahead and hit it with what just a cpu load to start with yeah i mean this is probably going to take a minute to heat up just because there's so much metal hey yep well it's a 51 right now you might say the system's pretty metal should we come back in 20 minutes i guess so okay it's been going full bore for what is nearly an hour now 1185 megahertz core so that's awesome we're right up at 80 degrees so that's running oh that's toasty whoa it's up around 60 degrees now ladies and gentlemen what was our peak cpu temperature um 88 degrees all right so yeah we're up against the limits for sure wow even this plate is hot oh yeah wow that is really toasty yeah it's at 46 degrees we ran into issues in the past where our load reduced dimms were running at over a hundred degrees unless we actively cooled them these are actually doing surprisingly okay up around 90. i didn't say it was great all right how's our gp i mean gpu's looking fine but oh boy is there ever some toasty stuff in there holy crap that's dangerous that card is running in excess of 130 degrees celsius in there it's 128 way over here and that's not even the toasty part what is that is that the network card yeah i believe that's the network card confirmed brutal where's our m.2 it's funny relative to how hot other things in the system are it seems to be running cool but it's actually well in excess of 80 degrees hey power supply is doing great yeah good job see sonic honestly from a gaming standpoint though none of that's really a downer because you don't need a 10 gig lan card you don't need all 24 of your cpu cores active while you're running a game or whatever else the case may be yep and a shock to no one this works really well now the gpu side that's still pretty toasty but yeah cpu side is not suffering quite so much that's awesome yeah i mean it's everything i expected an rtx 2070 to be yeah yeah you wouldn't be able to ow that's hot speaking of hot our sponsor for today's video honey honey is the free shopping tool that helps you save money right now or maybe not right now but next time
