Shrek SuperSlam is unspeedrunnable but that didn't stop me

you can't speed run shrek super slam but for some reason there's a community on speedrun.com that has 11 people that have completed a speed run so you know what i'm doing we're going to be playing through all the story missions and that's going to be the speed run so let's just get started also before we even start we get to see this great demonstration of shrek showing us how to fight thank you shrek and for the first fight we have the gingerbread man versus puss and boots which is kind of sad for me because i love puss in boots and the gingerbread man is okay i guess but this is the first fight so it is extremely easy literally you can just kind of beat him up and he doesn't really do anything back but it does show you how to play this game now the reason this game isn't speed runnable is because the timer at the top every one of these matches is going to take two minutes also you really not going to do anything against me but the way to win is you have to get more slams than the opponent i built up my slam meter and i was able to slam the opponent that gives me a point and minus one point to him so i can get more slams by beating him up like that get another one of those and boom easy so it's kind of a weird fighting game but i mean it works really the only time save is through not menuing bad and also not losing any of the fights which is easier said than done because this game is surprisingly hard once you get to the later levels and one of the best parts about this game is all the destructible terrain like you can see the stairs are just destroyed the windows we hit people through we destroyed these people's poor beer kegs and stuff i don't know if they put a lot of care into this game but they at least put some and that's better than what a lot of licensed games do so good for them and now we have this fight which is donkey versus prince charming which is just unfair to be honest i am a donkey and this is a man with armor and a sword i don't understand in what world this feels like a fair fight like he's just slicing me with his sword i should be dead right now but i guess you could say that about any fighting game oh yeah this is my favorite weapon in the game you can just zone it has homing attack fairies that just don't let your opponent do anything oh we got another one thank you we're just gonna hang out build up our slam meter i do feel kind of bad because i'm pretty sure this is the dragon's castle and i'm donkey so i don't think she's gonna be happy with what i'm doing right now i feel like if donkey and his wife ever get in any fights it's just not gonna go well for him but whatever i have to fight this dude for some reason and that's gonna be the fight which is one beautiful thing and then you know we get hit by a fireball to end it what's the better way for donkey to do it though now we're fighting keemstar i don't know why he wants to fight the gingerbread man but i mean whatever works for you man and to be honest he's not really that hard it's kind of weird because the first four levels of this story mode are really easy but once you get to the second fort that's where it picks up speed also i love this ball power up shouldn't that have broken the gingerbread man i can can he bend like that what was that sound effect he just made whatever i'm just gonna zone oh he has the zoning weapon too he's just not as good with it as i am and by not as good with it as i am i mean he just doesn't sit in the back and spam it which really isn't a good idea because it's such a good weapon i always forget also you can like roll and block which i should probably use more often wow keemstar is not happy about that throwing a little tantrum back there now we have to play his worst fiona because she's not an ogre and we have to fight against humpty dumpty but he's a ninja master for some reason whatever works for you man and he has this entire dojo so we're gonna be destroying that i kind of feel bad about it but i'm pretty sure he's an evil villain or something i mean he sure looks like one also these swords are terribly made you can literally use them once and then they're just destroyed i don't know who decided on that design but it was not smart all in the fire sword this is overpowered oh i just threw it well there goes the overpowered weapon yes i do realize i just said a weapon is overpowered in shrek super slam look i just love this game so much i seriously do though i used to play this game all the time with my siblings and i have some really good memories from it it might not be as polished as other fighting games but it has more character i don't like fiona's fighting style to be honest i feel like it's really clunky but even with her fighting style yeah this is uh this is just an easy game can i throw him off the edge oh i just wanted to murder him in cold blood that is so sad oh there he goes well he's that how do you make that jump back okay all right come on well at least we got the win and he's falling over crying like a little baby aren't you supposed to be like a samurai master come on man don't act like that and finally in shrek super slam we get to play a shrek and we also have fiona in a good form but we're fighting this thing which i'm not really sure what he's supposed to be but i feel like this fight is just kind of unfair towards this guy because you have two absolute units and one of those units is also shrek so he's like seven units on his own shrek is unstoppable i also don't really know the story of this story mode because i didn't bother to actually watch it also look at this beautiful painting who made that that is beautiful and yes i was admiring a painting while my wife was getting bounced around on belle's look i have my priorities straight wife what are you doing why'd you throw me okay well maybe that's a good strategy wife get over here oh no she she released herself from my grip hey i was just trying to throw you at our enemy come back girl here we go boom yeah we might have to go through some marriage counseling after this fight fiona look it's also we could win okay it had to happen please do not do anything to me but that is also unfortunately our last fight was shrek i know everyone's probably really sad i am too i wish there were more shrek fights that we could do we will get to fight against shrek but you know it's not really the same but before that this is a really messed up fight we are pinocchio against the black knight with a double axe in what world is this fight fair i really don't know in what world pinocchio can beat this dude up he must be the worst fighter in the world he just thought oh maybe if i put on a ton of armor i'll be a better fighter but that did not work out for you did it but also i feel bad for this poor restaurant that we're just destroying why'd we decide to fight over here come on man here have a beehive i put the beehive on myself are you kidding me i need to run i do not want to lose this match okay thankfully we won him where'd the black knight go he was on top of the castle there was that supposed to happen and now i'm just gonna be honest this fight is unfair we're one donkey against three different people in what world is this fair and this is also like one of the hardest fights of the game i mean it is the second to last so it makes sense the only way we really win this is if we get two different slams and hit everybody with them because all these people are gonna hit us with the slams and it's hard to miss your slam it gives you so many chances to hit it i just gotta play better than them which is hard because i mean they have humpty dumpty on their team what am i supposed to do against that guy oh no oh no please stop i just need to get a slam really quick okay i hit all three of them i think i need to get one more because gingerbread man is right about to get his slam and he's definitely gonna hit me with that it's just so unfair when you have a three on one how is this okay i'm still winning but if one of these other people gets their slam i lose i don't know if it's better to just run i guess i can roll away oh my god how am i gonna dodge for 20 seconds oh god this is so scary oh my god i am just running for my life please have mercy on me this fight is not fair oh no oh two seconds let's go oh i was able to win that one that was so scary oh that was so close and now we have the last fight of the game at least and yeah we're putting boots against all of our friends they all turned into puppets for some reason i don't really know how that works out but they did again probably important story moments that i missed i'm just gonna try my best to get my slams and not get bullied in a corner please stop it guys let's just talk this out i'm almost done with my speed run please do not ruin it here i almost have my slam i forget what puss in boot slam is though so oh it's this thing okay we got two of them there this seems to be going pretty well none of them have gotten their slam yet i can probably get another there goes pinocchio can i dodge this though he can't do anything i'm too good how long do i have to dodge this for though okay yeah that was not gonna be dodged forever they let you have your slam way too long you know if you miss your slam you should lose it i don't know what to do when there are three people just on me get off me dude i just need one more slam and i think we'll be okay come on i didn't hit anyone with that why i hit two more okay we just have to run at this point come on oh my god we just can't let shrek get a slam i don't know if it's one more or if it's it should be over in just a second let's go three two one oh oh my god that was a scary game oh my god okay so i think we won by a good amount this game is probably the most stressful speed run i've ever played in my life but that was the speed run done in 18 minutes and 20 seconds and my heart was beating harder than i think it ever has before for any speed run ever and if we look at these beautiful speedrun leaderboards we will see that we are now tied for fourth which is pretty good i don't understand where the time save is to get a sub 18 minute is it just like having faster hardware at that point i'm not sure look i'm satisfied with what i got we are one of the greats now that completed shrek super slam without losing once what is my life coming to but i'd like to thank you guys for watching if you enjoyed this video please leave a like on it it really helps
