Shotcut Tutorial 2023 | Text Behind the Object | Masking Using Glaxnimate

foreign shortcut has newly added this feature in their recent update so please make sure that you have updated shortcut to use this new filter this effect is quite easy to create and it will make your video stand out so let's get started [Music] I'm going to use this clip to show you the effect now let's add another video track click on these lines and click on track operations click on ADD video track now here we will add our text click on open other and click on color here in the preset we will select transparent click on open now we will drag and drop this clip onto the timeline adjust the length click on filters click on plus sign and look for text select text simple now we will add our text here I will type Alaska I will change the font to Aerial black let me click on the middle so it will be at the center of the screen you can change this size and place it according to your project it's looking good to me I want to put this text behind this tree so that when we play this video it will reveal the whole text with the camera movement now let's add another video track we will add the same video clip on the top [Music] add an opacity filter to it so that we will be able to see the text under it click on filters click on the plus sign and look for opacity we will lower the opacity a little bit so that we can see the text [Music] now again click on the plus sign and look for the mask you will see this new feature mask draw glaxy mate is added to the filters click on it nothing will happen we will need to click on new to create the new Galaxy Note file once you do that it will open the Galaxy minute application this is a totally different software that is now integrated into the shortcut to create the mask we will click on this icon to select this tool make sure the stroke and field check boxes are checked also select this layer option click on this icon to record the keyframes now we will draw the mask around the text which is coming on the tree part [Music] once you draw the mask click on this Arrow to go to the next frame now click on this icon to reveal the keyframes handlers adjust the keyframes [Music] click on the Arrow to go to the next frame again it is the keyframes I will repeat this process until the whole text is revealed [Music] now let me play this video to see how the mask is moving with the original video after you are done click on this icon to save the video then close the application once you are back to shortcut click on reload we will change the opacity of the first video clip to 100 percent the effect will look like this that's it for now thanks for watching the video If you like this video and learn something new then please hit the like button and subscribe to the channel and feel free to share your comments below I have more video editing tutorials on my channel that you can follow bye for now see you next time
