hey guys thanks for tuning in to another video on Forgotten weapons I'm Ian McCallum and today we are out at the range with a tool room early Smith and Wesson model 76 I've had people asking me to do videos on the Smith 76 or its predecessor the the m45 for quite some time and I'm interested to to get a chance to actually do it now so the real question here is does this gun shoot better than it looks or does it shoot kind of like it looks because the initial impression of this thing is one of those you know inexpensive to manufacture stamped sheet metal folding stock let's see and this one there's a little bit of wobble to the stock and does it shoot like that or does it shoot like a better gun so let's go ahead and open the bolt magazine and away we go [Applause] well the semi-auto works that's not bad at all that's got it actually fairly nice low rate of fire it's easily controllable it's one of those guns that once you're actually shooting you can maintain some awareness of a sight picture move around follow a target it's not bad I have been told by people that these were much better guns than their looks would lead you to believe and I think those people are actually right this thing is just downright Pleasant it's one of those guns that's almost a little bit boring because it just runs so nicely [Music] got this beautiful little fountain of brass going of course the folding stock you can shoot it with the stock folded but that's never the effective way to use something like this this thing really pretty much just speaks for itself here smooth simple not a lot to go wrong not really hardly anything to go wrong ambidextrous safety lever stocks with this rubber coating the stocks not uncomfortable at all to use light recoil low muzzle climb it's just a really nice submachine gun it turns out so perhaps I should have tried harder to find one of these a little bit earlier but regardless I'm glad I did now if you would like to have a Smith & Wesson 76 of your own this is a fully transferable NFA registered entirely legal submachine gun it's coming up for sale and more fees if you take a look at the description text below you'll find a link to forgotten weapons comm from whence you can find the link over to Murphy's catalog page on this gun that'll have their description their pictures their value estimate everything you would need to know if you decide you want to place a bid on it no thanks for watching
