Shocking Things With 300 9 Volt Batteries!

[Music] it's good that is crazy - all right guys welcome back to the channel so in today's video we're not going to be doing anything too crazy or too exciting where it's gonna be I just have a couple extra novel batteries laying around or just gonna kind of have fun with them one of these boxes is 12 batteries so I just have a couple of them laying around just just a couple more so that's about 288 batteries so I have 12 more so I have 300 extra 9-volt batteries laying around so what I want to do is very simple I want to take all these all 300 of these nine little batteries and hook them all up in series which will equal out to 2,700 volts and then I want to shop some things so let's get started alright so one of the first things that I want to do before we hook them all together is I want to see I have this extra computer case fan I want to see how many batteries that it takes to burn this fan up let's also be a good demonstration of what's gonna happen almost are hooking these batteries together in series so we'll get some test leads put black to black red to red and we have one Nambu battery one nine volt batteries you can hear the fan spins at a normal speed right so this is gonna happen as we start hooking these batteries together so what I'm gonna do is if you take if you take these batteries you flip it over and then move it over and hook the positive to the negative on to the batteries like this now you have a positive here and negative here and instead of nine volts now you've had 18 volts and now we'll see what that does to our fan well won't do anything if you don't put the positive and the negative on the right side you hear how much harder that fans blowing so that was 18 volts so let's go up to 27 volts see if the fan can handle that so we'll just put this over one let's see what happens oh it's gonna fall off the table so you can see how much more power has alright let's go to step farther let's add one more battery well go to 36 volts flip this right here I'm really curious if this is even gonna work oh really let's slow down take one these batteries off no I think it was starting to burn up so let's just go ahead let's hook up quite a few of these batteries and we're gonna give it a bunch all right so this is twelve 9-volt batteries so this is going to be a hundred and eight volts let's see what it does to the stand positive on the positive oh oh it's it just makes it want to catch on fire let's get a close-up of that alright a hundred and eight volts to the computer fan in three two one really that's it well that wasn't much of a show before we move on to the next thing I am gonna show you how much power we're dealing with and to keep in mind this is only twelve 9-volt batteries and we have 300 to hookup so I'm just gonna take this lead and just kind of bump it against the terminal so you can see where we're working with quite a bit of power there and then we still have 288 more of these to hookup alright so I have another fan that is gonna make the ultimate sacrifice for this video I still have all these batteries hooked up so we're just gonna give this fan all hundred and eight volts flat out Plus this fan has a little switch so it'll be much easier now I don't know if the switch is gonna be able to handle 108 volts so I'm gonna zoom you in before I hook up the positive alright I'm gonna hook up the positive put a glove on uh turn eight bolts three two one [Music] [Applause] all right that is that is crazy I did not expect this thing to handle 180 volts so I say what we do is we add 12 more batteries and double our voltage and see what happens all right you can see I added 12 more batteries that makes two hundred and sixteen volts I really don't think this thing is gonna be able to handle it but after the first test it wasn't even it's just barely hot so it might surprise us who knows let's see alright I just have one connection to hook up and then we will be ready to go 216 volts three two one [Music] [Applause] Oh slowed demise and you can see some of the smoke coming out all right it's time to stop next time with these fans and give you guys what you came here for let's start hooking up all 300 of these batteries [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] yes as you can see I have all three hundred 9-volt batteries hooked up all hooked up with jumpers and everything because obviously my my tables not long enough but I just tried something and it's probably the coolest thing that you'll ever see on this channel but I put on some welding gloves just for some added protection this is definitely probably their one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life so I have jumpers all of them with these leads that I had two copper nails on either side now watch what happens when I put these together this is so cool I don't know I could do that all day I don't know what that's called or why it does that but that is so so so cool all right so now I'm excited because this is getting a really really awesome so here's what I'm thinking so a while back they did surgery on a quake so I have a grape let's stick both of these nails in it and then make a connection and see how a grape reacts to 2,700 volts and don't worry these leads are disconnected so I'm not going to all right let's bring you in close and shock it all right 2700 volts through grape in 3 2 1 oh that that shot out of there let's stab it in there again stead this no there's a little bit more see what happens all right going again 3 2 I guess it just has too much current it just shoots it right out let's make sure it's in there good there we go that should be in that pretty good three two [Applause] that's pretty cool oh I can smell the burning great so it smells pretty horrendous but it looks to me wow that's hot that's very hot actually no I didn't get shocked this grape is extremely hot it looks to me like what it did was just basically cook the grape because the grape is always too hot to touch that's so crazy assuming that where there's so much liquid in the grape that if you've ever seen Mythbusters there's an episode where they describe the Layton frost effect or some put some videos on YouTube describe it but I'm sure that's why what's happening is whatever the nails in there and then it starts arcing that the liquid and the gray pipe stuff starts instantly boiling and it shoots the nail out what would be my best guess but that's so cool so since shocking that grip was pretty cool let's do something different I have a little clear tub of water let's stick them in this and see what happens alright twenty-seven hundred volts in a tub of water what's gonna happen three two one whoa let's dip one in first oh wow see if it doesn't go the way oh that's cool oh wow it's like shooting lightning bolts into the into the water oh wow that's so cool let's try it with another liquid okay so the water really cool we got to see the electricity shoot into the water and all that stuff fine and dandy but let's replace the water with something a little bit more acidic lemon juice come on I guess it's a bit this way there we go now let's see how this reacts to 2,700 volts here we go lemon juice okay now let's go lemon juice 2700 volts here we go whoa whoa whoa that's violent oh it's hot oh jeez that is so much more conductive than water jeez Wow all right let's see if we can hold it like water oh I think it's just too violent all right back to the camera up a little bit just so you can see just how violent this is we're gonna go in the game Wow oh that time I jumped across oh whoa the net part of the nail melted off oh geez oh poor d'avin melted off and fell inside the tub okay I'm calling that quits for right now so I think we've learned that not 9-volt batteries are no joke especially when there's 300 of them hooked together in series because I don't know if you can see this little dark spot right here but this is the copper nail whenever I started this is the copper nail after I dipped it in that lemon juice you can see it melted about 1/4 inch or so maybe a little bit less than a quarter inch completely off the nail and then it fell it melted off I don't know if you can see this little BB or not but that's the little BB that it made and it melted off into the lemon juice and then melted a hole in the container and then burned a little crater into the table that's how hot it was so there's anything that I've learned from this experience don't play around with 9-volt batteries and I think this would be a perfect time to tell everyone watching this video don't do this at home I did it so you don't have to I just wanted to give you guys a close-up so you could see everything you can see obviously this is a brand new nail and this is the one that I stuck in the water at that last little bit for whatever it was 3 4 seconds even if that you can see you can see how much if it got melted off and you can see here this is what melted off and it pretty much just made a perfect little copper BB pretty much and here you can see the hole that it melted through the bottom of a container and then right there's where it burned the table all right yes I think I'm gonna call it quits right there I think I've pushed my luck enough for the day and I can hear some of these some battery over in this area is making like a like a ticking noise and early I was hearing like a slight like hissing noise so I think I'm just golf quits better be safe than sorry I had so much fun making this video and this was so
