It’s a big deal for Casey, but I dunno, I’m not that interested in Mendes at all. I ain’t gonna watch it but I’m not gonna hate it either.
This whole video felt like a build up of portraying something unreal. Like something remarkable is happening regarding Shawn. Yet at the end I feel it falls flat. Maybe if I knew more about Shawn previously or what he is doing it would be meaningful.
Shawn also comes off a bit fake. Like the way he talks seems like he was groomed for this. I just get the feeling he's putting on a show every time he speaks.
Audio was fantastic though and the transitions were on point. I also liked the part where it was edited where Shawn was talking over himself slightly and the build up was getting bigger and bigger.
I think if I was passionate about Shawn before going in I would had felt this was really good; maybe the way Shawn talks I would have not criticized knowing him previously.
I have spent a year and some months on developing my game and assuming Casey put his heart into making this I hope he gets the response he wants. Putting 4 months into a project and putting it out there for the world to judge is pretty big deal. Specially when those 4 months boils down to 15 minutes of video. There's probably so much detail I missed.
i love caseys work, but im more interested with videos on his channel. that is really it. it could be good, but im too old to be a fan of shawn mendes. i wanna know more about how 368 is going

Casey is on a mission trying to convince the world that 10-15 minute youtube videos are "films" This is 15 minutes of B roll edited together. could have been done in one day
I mean, it’s a decent profile of Shawn (I know nothing about the kid). But this in no way feels like a Casey made movie, and I don’t know if that’s good or bad to be honest. Sure it has some drone shots, but other then that, I’m sure the other two dudes that he mentioned did 95% of the work, editing, etc?
I don't understand the contrast between how Casey portrays his involvement in making this and that he is only in the credits as a cameraman.
Did Casey let the glory sit with 368 people? What names in the credits are 368 people?
I am not trying to be polemic here. It just struck me as odd. Often Casey is frustrated when explaining things after social media comments but he leaves big information gaps and so people are going to ask.
I don't really know anything about Sean Mendes .... how big/popular is he at the moment? Is this another Beeb situation?
Obviously I really like Casey's stuff as he is one of the youtubers I regularly watch.
I have no interest in the subject matter and will not be watching.
