Shawn Gets A Jeep

okay so now that it's kind of adjusted to the light shawn's bringing the the new project around so we can throw some leaf springs on it and have it ready to go so you see right here broken mainly so the shackle's kind of flat but this is an 84 jeep scrambler the original lj before it was cool could be long so it's got one ton axles got a fuel injected 360 727 automatic twin stick dana 300 hydro assist full cage got a back seat so yeah it's not a stretch jeep is actually the scrambler oh yeah that's where it gets you right there so [Music] squad [Laughter] [Music] look at a smile [Music] sounds good right okay so here we are we're headed to hell's room go where are we going yeah we're taking the new rig because we have new toys but anyway so we're heading up here there's a jeep stuck in some mud so we're gonna take a jeep and a strap and go get them out of the mud here we go over there oh looky there we go this one's blue [Music] no we're gonna oh this is gonna be awesome i love for ever almost since the beginning since i opened a shop he has been with me on all the crazy recoveries the ones before we were filming for youtube the ones the yeah the ones that have never been on camera the ones that probably shouldn't be on camera because they're sketchy but the dude the dude has helped me out so much he's helped me get the truck where it is he's helped so much so i got him a bit of a surprise and we'll see how he reacts to it because he knows nothing about it show them the sunrise it's too bright the screen goes all dark so sean because we're so awesome in all this stuff business bad boy we got ac so this was a customer's vehicle that we've done a lot of work on it's in really good shape got the dana 44 already in the rear winch awning all sorts of stuff thank you sir like i said it's not amazing or anything but i know you were looking at it pretty hard so go for the recovery business after hours hey little moonlight [Laughter] [Music] [Music] there we are you are straight up over land af we need to get you a snorkel quick stat stack you got a roof rack got your awning [Music] you're ready to go over all the lands he's got light bar got lockers so i'm having to do the same thing i've had to do to every jeep i've ever owned i have to lower the seat now we custom made these brackets a few years ago for the previous owner i'm just gonna cut these drop this down put a little bit of a rake into it and make it fit me a little better see somebody somebody's unfocused and can't work and they want to play with their new toys both of these people that are sitting here playing with their new toys filming you oh weird check it out let's tell rory we got the freedom top going at the moment i've always lost my hat branch see how deep it is [Music] oh not bad at all i thought it was going to be so much deeper you're on it you're on the line [Music] let's go [Music] this is it this is the spot y'all here down there yeah because the sagebrush down there oh yeah it was sitting right there because we pulled in so we came in and i mean when the trailer is empty it just kind of bounces around wherever yeah so you come down in here and we had to kind of come up and drop down this way yeah so we get there we load up the side by side yep over there yeah we got up here and it was kind of slipping yeah and so we we tied off up to a rock up there with the rear winch to kind of hold us as we pulled forward to just kind of keep us on the road yeah right here the problem is with that rock in the way and pulling a trailer you don't physically have room to get up here and make the corner without the trailer going into that rock sure you can see where i was front digging oh hey like right here because i was all the way up in here so it kept getting hooked like the tires into there like right here yeah so finally we said the heck with it and we ran the rear winch we were kind of in an angle we ran the rear winch over here around the tire and hooked through the rim on the bottom so then as i pulled forward i ran the winch in and it made this tire of the for the front tire of the trailer climb this rock okay and we're like man we're home free we're golden we get it right here coming along and the duel hit right here okay and it jumped sideways [Applause] and it slid on these rocks like right here where the side by side had fallen that was on the trail initial cause yeah we ended up running the winch line up to that big boulder okay way up there yeah way up there so then we got to right here we unhooked it and did the hole but like you said this was legitimately the scariest i've been in the truck exciting yeah a lot of winchin a lot of running around hot [Music] look at this big timber i took some effort to get in place [Music] this is how you get hurt bouldering is dangerous bouldering is dangerous he could no no yes dude all right all right you want video no i want a picture you ready yeah picture he's almost to the top yes
