Severance Ms. Casey Theory | Who is Ms. Casey

i'm here to observe heller oh no one told me welcome back everybody today we're going to be theorizing on who or what miss casey really is from the show severance if you haven't seen episode 7 yet there will be spoilers up to that episode if you enjoy this content please remember to subscribe and like the video okay let's get into it here's what we know so far mark's wife gemma was supposedly killed in a car accident and that leads mark to get severed because he couldn't deal with the pain of her loss however at the end of episode 7 mark puts the picture back together and we learned that gemma and miss casey are the same person we know that the severance program can split a person's memories into basically two separate consciousness and either one of those consciousness can maintain permanent control over the person's body when an audi retires they effectively kill off their any version and are only left with their audi's consciousness we know that the technology in the chip can be activated remotely meaning that an innie could also take over the audi completely until we've seen this happen with dylan everybody assumed the tech and the elevators were what caused the switch and i'm sure the elevators do have this tech built in to automatically turn the chip on because if it needed to be manually activated the mark and the others would not have changed into their any forms after greener was killed no one was banning the security room at the time mark went into work so while it's true that their memories are spatially dictated it's also true that an innie can exist full time even in the outside world not all information is lost to an innie obviously basic things like walking and talking are retained but we learn that inis can remember things about their audi sounds over time we learned this information from the lexington letter where any pig tells our audi that the secret language was coming back to her over the course of a few weeks if you haven't read the lexington letter there's a video on my page explaining what it is we are also shown this to be true in mark's wellness session with miss casey when he creates the tree audi mark goes to to mourn his wife my theory is that gemma was severed before her car accident and because the audi version of her died all that's left is the innie version of her this would explain why miss casey seems so robotic almost like she's missing a part of herself cobell refers to miss casey as being a part-time innie and mark is a full-time innie part-time innies may not be as socialized and sophisticated as yourself but they still must be held accountable for their actions this doesn't make sense though because we know mark leaves work and is only in any part time i think cobell was saying that miss casey only has the inner part of herself left while mark still has both his innie and audi personas attached to him maybe the severance chip makes a copy of the innies brain allowing lumen to basically bring life to even dead bodies in episode 2 after milchik stops mark from talking about how he was worried about what happened to petey millchick says i think this is a good time to remind ourselves that things like deaths happen outside of here not here a life at lumen is protected from such things again this implies that enemies can't be killed we see heli try to do this to herself but that doesn't necessarily mean that her innie would have died i think the real worry was that heli would kill off her audi and if you don't already know i have another theory video explaining why helly's audi is so important milchik then reiterates this to irving when he sees the paintings depicting departments attacking each other when ervin asks him if it really happened milchik responds with did that actually happen mr milchik of course not nothing like that could happen here so yeah that's my theory as to who miss casey is and why she is the way she is what do you think does gemma only exist as her any form or do you think maybe lumen faked her death and audi gemma still exists drop me a comment so we can discuss as always thank you for watching the video and if you enjoyed this content remember to subscribe and like the video for more of these theories in the future
