[Music] [Music] Fidelity now we know that a marriage cannot thrive it cannot be pleasing to our Lord it cannot reflect the glory that a marriage is called to for the purpose of a testimony if there is not fidelity the Bible speaks of our coven mental relationship with God through Messiah as a marriage he is the bridegroom we the congregation of the Redeem we are the bride and if our relationship with him is going to thrive if we are going to have a praiseworthy testimony if God's glory is going to be seen through us there has to be fidelity and I'm speaking about scripture fidelity see we need to realize that God is most specific about the last days the end times in order that we will be all ready he warns us repeatedly he says watch take heed be alert because in the last days there is going to be a spirit of delusion that goes out throughout the world a spirit of deception and it's only through that anointing that indwelling Holy Spirit that the Word of God Messiah says he is a spirit of truth of righteousness he will teach us all things it's only through the spirit and through the illumination that he provides of his word that we're going to recognize with discernment a very important happening Paul writes in 2nd Thessalonians there - and he's speaking to the Brethren believers in Messiah and he warns us about this dilution and he says that there's going to be an apostasy the greek word apple sassy it comes from two words the word ystem i to stand and the word apple which means from now it's a phrase which means to depart now many today who understand the significance in regard to our Blessed hope they see a problem with their theology with their doctrine what they've been teaching about that blessed hope and so they look at this word this apostasy and they say oh it means a departure and they interpret it to be the rapture itself but there's a problem that word when we see it else when the scripture for example in acts 21 21 it always speaks always speaks about a departure from that which is good from truth to that which is not good that which is false for example in acts 21 21 Paul is being accused of a departure of heresy of leaving the law of Moses and teaching others who live among the nation's not to circumcise their children not to follow the traditions of the scriptures that's a false accusation he is being accused of a departure of an apostasy of course he was not teaching these things but there is indeed a apostasy coming and I see very strongly very strongly that the horizon when we look to it spiritually we see the foretaste of it now I mentioned Friday night and in all sincerity and honesty I did not plan and mentioning this other conference sometimes when you hear just things come out and I want you to realize that that the people who are there speaking many I know I consider friends I consider fellow servants but there is something alarming going on and we need to speak out at times we cannot allow friendships working relationships to interfere with compromising on the fidelity of the Word of God and I want to be and I was admonished to be so I am I want to be very specific I don't want anyone leaving here confuse on my intent now I mentioned it we need to be flexible because my suspicion is that this is going to take a little longer but that's okay because we're going to add this time combine the first session and the second session together so we're gonna have one thorough study this morning we're gonna get out on time I assured the manager of that so one study but it's going to be somewhat intense now I have in my hand my cell phone and I'm going to a website that has information about that conference here again good people an organization that frequently in the past I've commanded I have recommended and that doesn't mean that they agree with me or I agree with them on everything but I solving a sound but with their associations who they are ministering with what they are teaching I am highly alarmed and saddened let's just be specific what's the issue well we'll see it in a moment I'm quoting it speaks about a conference and I quote Israel and the coming worldwide revival and that sounds great but the question that we have to answer is does the Bible speak about in their terms and I'm going to be specific is there going to be this worldwide revival in light of what they're saying and what are they saying let me quote join us as we gather to unpack one of the great there's this word mysteries one of the great mysteries of the Bible now we need to be specific because there are mysteries in the Bible but I don't know that word being used in regard to a worldwide revival within the context that they are speaking and I say that because and again I'm reading it says dear friends the greatest harvest the world has ever known those are pretty big words the greatest harvest that the world has ever known awaits us i love.i that means I wish this was the case this is not wishful thinking but I read it is Biblical prophecy so where is the prophecy well they provide a scripture for the Bible says in Romans chapter 11 very significant chapter for the Bible says in Romans chapter 11 and verse 12 this is the prophecy that when the Jewish people accept the gospel that it will lead to a revival that will overshadow that of the book of Acts now is that true well let's explore the scripture that's that's provided let's look at Romans chapter 11 this key chapter in regard to Israel and a very important promise concerning Israel and what's going to happen when the Jewish people come to faith now we read Romans chapter 11 and I like to begin and set the stage a little bit with the previous verse Romans chapter 11 and verse 11 but it translate this very literal I don't think that translation here is an issue it's pretty clear my words may be a little different but the meaning will be in agreement with what you have verse 11 therefore I say have their stumbling and the context is Israel the Jewish people have their stumbling what's he referring to the rejection of that gospel that plan of Messiah he writes Paul speaks I say to you have they're stumbling in order that they should fall me t-this is it true is it right theology to believe that this rejection of Yeshua this stumbling over the gospel will it lead ultimately to their fault meaning being ultimately eternally rejected that's it god replaces Israel with the church God's covenant Allah promises his prophetic words no longer relevant and we know the answer of that Paul says it pretty strong he says a word or a phrase that's usually translated right in your Bible god forbid literally it will never be that's what the Greek says now we're all in agreement with that this group also in his agreement with that no controversy whatsoever but Paul writes on but their transgression here again the transgression the rejection by and large of Israel to the gospel it says but their transgression this rejection Paul writes is the salvation of the nation's that's good news because they reject now had they not great things could have been done but God who is ever faithful see here's what we need to understand God has sovereignly chose Israel in order to use them to be a blessing to the nation's that is not revocable Paul says that elsewhere so if they accept there'll be a great blessing if they reject God is still going to use them to be a blessing but here's the key they're not going to find blessing from it they're not that's just the way it is God says I'm going to use you for a purpose if you submit you also find blessing you also find the rewards of faithfulness but if not God is free still to accomplish his purposes but in your rebellion sness in your transmission you will not experience the good the God intended and we see unfortunately and we all are grieved over this that every Jew every Gentile God's not a respecter of persons right it says it's appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgment no second chances so we are grieved over both Jew and Gentile who have died without the gospel correct but there is some good news he says look again into verse 11 the salvation is to the nation's and there should be a purpose behind that for their provoking what's Paul referring to well when Israel sees the blessings God's provision God's faithfulness to the nation's they're going to be provoked that's the intent unfortunately the nation's the church we haven't done a good job provoking issue look now to the verse that they cited verse 12 this is the prophetic one and it writes verse 12 and if their transgression once again he uses that same word if their transgression this rejection of the gospel is the richness of the world what does that mean that through this God nevertheless who is ever faithful God has brought an abundant salvation to the nation's that's what it's thinking about there's richness to the world and they're stumbling the different word their failure would might be a better way to translate it and their failure what does that uses that same word richness to the Gentiles so it blesses the world and it blesses the nation's this this rejection this stumbling this failure but he goes on to say if that's the case if the Jewish people rejected and this was the outcome a good thing he says how much more is their fullness so we should expect something but we all agree upon is that when Messiah and what the scripture says this this reception of Israel of Messiah what what Paul is speaking about and I'll show this in the context as we continue on one issue accepts Messiah there is going to be a great outcome from that we agree on that but what is it what is it they're saying prophetically this passage tells us that there is going to be a worldwide revival that comes from Israel's acceptance of Messiah I don't see that anywhere anywhere in the scripture now I'm fully aware of the book of Acts chapter 3 where it speaks about the days of of refreshing speaking about acts 3 verses 19 and 20 but if you look at this this time of refreshing comes prior to messiahs if you look at the context and read verse 19 and verse 20 it prepares the world for Messiah not not his second coming but that blessed hope again you check commentator after commentator there's no disagreement that this time of refreshing is prior to the Blessed hope the rapture prior to the wrath of God now another scripture that we can go to is the book of UL chapter 2 verses 28 through 32 in English chapter 3 in the Hebrew and it speaks about how his spirit is going to be poured out poured out and people will prophesy both young and old old men will dream young men will have visions and will be upon the young the old upon the servant and the maidservant what's key here is that it speaks about all flesh it's not just an Israel phenomena but it's going to affect the world now it's very significant is it not that that in the book of Acts chapter 2 the previous chapter we find that whole chapter chapter 3 of Joel in Hebrews chapter 2 verses 28 through 30 - being quoted by who Peter in his explanation of what began at Pentecost we are in this this unique time period from Pentecost until the end of this age that's going to N and what age are we talking about the congregation of the Redeem how long we're going to be here and remember we see that there are signs signs in the heavens sign upon the earth prior to don't miss this prior to the wrath of God falling now we know something we know that the wrath of God falls according to what I shared with you last night if you study the book of Revelation we see that the wrath of God who is the wrath of the lamb is announced in the sixth seal correct we have men both great and small saying hide us they speak to the mountains into the rocks hide us from the wrath of the Lamb so in that sixth seal in Revelation chapter 6 there's the announcement of God's wrath it's imminent but it doesn't happen because when you go to chapter 7 the angels are getting ready to harm the earth that is to place God's wrath and there's another angel right now you read this revelation 7 it says before this judgment falls an angel goes out he stops those angels that are going to harm the earth with God's judgment and he says don't do anything until two things happen first is Israel those twelve tribes there's a feeling why well we need to remember something Israel the Bible says is going to suffer greatly and what's known as Great Tribulation now I want you if you're writing down things I want you to understand that biblically there is two terms used that by and large most theologians confuse they don't make a distinction although there is a grammatical distinction one of great significance in the biblical texts what is that well in Revelation chapter 7 Israel is sealed prior to the wrath of God because even though Israel will be here during the wrath of God just like in Egypt that judgment those plagues are not going to affect them why God wanted to do something he wanted to and we see this in Exodus we see this in the book of Revelation great similarity between these two events the first Redemption and the final Redemption grain Israel that remnant of the last day to faith in the gospel and what the scripture says is that God is going to make a distinction a heav dill in the biblical language between Israel and the nation's now how did he use that in in the exodus 3,500 years ago well you'll remember something right not only did the Hebrews come out of Egypt but we are told that there is also a mixed multitude and there's no disagreement among the rabbinical scholars among the Christian scholars they all agree that's rare but they all agree that God making this distinction cause brought about Gentiles seeing we're suffering but but those in Goshen they're not and what did they do they join with the Hebrews and through Redemption God brought out the congregation of the first redemption through the blood of the Lamb that that physical lamb the Passover lamb and he brought out the Hebrews he brought out a mixed multitude and they became known a dot Israel the congregation of Israel by the way that word congregation a da in Hebrew is the witnesses the testifiers that's what we're supposed to be that's what they were supposed to be so we see this mixed multitude coming out now here's the thing that we need to remember even though God seals Israel from his wrath that's being poured out in the last half of those final seven years they are not protected from satanic persecution and that's why two-thirds will die it pains us right two thirds of the Jewish people that are alive during this last days they will lose their life not because of God's wrath but because of the Antichrist why first important person I have so many times pastors asked me you you do believe that the Antichrist is Jewish I said no no I don't and they're amazed by that I said why would you think that the Antichrist is Jewish they said well why would Israel accept him if he's not nowhere I challenge you where do you find in the scripture one verse that hints even to Israel accepting the Antichrist as the Living God know when that abomination of desolation happens what is that well we know what it is because Daniel mentions it initially in Daniel chapter 9 but he clarifies he defines it in Daniel chapter 11 and he says there's going to be one who exalts himself magnifies himself above every God so that he proclaims himself God that's Antichrist and then the Apostle Paul takes that passage from Daniel 11 and he uses it in 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2 looked sometime at verses 3 and 4 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 3 and 4 where Paul quotes it that there's going to be one and there's no disagree it is the son of perdition that is destruction the man of lawlessness that means those who stand against Torah truth that's Antichrist and he's going to go into the day oh s--- what's that the Holy of Holies your Bible oftentimes will say it will go into the temple doesn't say that that would be the Greek word heron it's a word nails meaning the sanctuary referring to the Holy of Holies and he's going to exalt himself and say I am God worship me and that time Israel say no and that's why their rejection of the Antichrist is going to lead to etc hylia Kovach's jacob's trouble that time of great intense persecution that takes place immediately after the abomination of desolation in those those lasts three and a half years 42 months 1260 days now here's what you need to see when the Bible speaks about what we're going to arrive to later on in this message this time of persecution for believers those who are persecuted because of his name because we walk in his character we speak his truth we testify of him and we speak out about that which is evil we're going to be hated by all that's what the scripture says and we will be persecuted we'll talk more about that but the scripture says that those people those believers in the last days that suffer that go through this persecution the Bible calls it the Great Tribulation did you hear that the Great Tribulation but when we talk about Israel's suffering and the second half not in the first half that's that's us we go through the Great Tribulation the great those two definite articles the is attached but when Yeshua when Messiah writes about Israel's this time of trouble in Matthew 24 verse 21 he calls it simply Great Tribulation so biblically the Great Tribulation see he puts that designation on it why because he emphasizes it because it's suffering for him for him Israel time of Jacob's trial it's simply called Great Tribulation not the Great Tribulation it's undeniable you looked Matthew 24 the last part from verses 16 through 30 one deals with Israel and in verse 21 you had that Great Tribulation so what do we know well we know that Israel's going to come to faith not leading up to a worldwide revival Israel comes to faith in Messiah if you look at prophecy true prophecy Zechariah chapter 12 Israel comes to faith at the end of those final seven years and what happens well we know something you see we need to make a distinction we are all too casual about the words that we use we call things to to sensationalize them a mystery we want to get people all emotionally excited though does not the truth excite you enough does it have to be packaged and marketed in a different way does not the word of God the truth isn't that motivation enough right decisions sensationalizes just teach it simply and what we find is this remember what Messiah he's on the Mount of Olives I'm not talking about Matthew 24 I'm talking about Matthew 23 when he is on the Mount of Olives and he's considering Israel and as he thinks of their spiritual condition what does he do weeps weeps and he says how I longed it's a word of desire great desire to gather you up as a mother hand gathers up her chicks but you were not willing helping us have problem with that verse he says I tell you the truth I will not come until you say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord now as believers we long for we desire we want Israel to say those words correct why they need to realize Israel's need for Messiah and when that happens what will be the outcome not worldwide revival I wish it was but nowhere in the scripture do we see that what do we see see what they do is infer from the text their casual sloppy and I say that in all sincerity it's a warning because if you stand up and you teach God says he is going to hold you more accountable we should be very sober fearful and make sure what we share why I think it's this way this sounds good I heard someone else say that that's not responsible teaching we need to have confirmation in his word so I don't know of any verse I am very willing if this is wrong I will make a video I will stand up next year I will say I am wrong I hope I am I look forward to I would love worldwide revival but what does the scripture say see what they do is say well if their rejection means all these Gentiles coming to faith then it only stands to reason that when Israel comes to faith it is going to bring another even a greater revival makes sense doesn't it make sense it's just not biblical it's just not scriptural because what does the scripture say we'll look at verse 15 see that's the verse this is where Paul clarifies he specifies this to us what's gonna happen when Israel does in fact when that last day reality takes place when the heavens open up Israel is in the midst of great suffering when they finally cry out blessed is he who is in comes in the name of the Lord and the heavens will open up and they'll see the one who has been pierced he will come to deliver them during that battle of Gog and Magog which is also the Battle of Armageddon which takes place near Megiddo and what's called a makyo Shafaat the valley of the Lord's judgment God's Word is very specific but look at verse 15 and this is why Biblical backgrounds do a thorough study see if you ask any Orthodox rabbi let me give you the proof of this I mentioned mamadi these yesterday correct Maimonides wrote 13 principles for Judaism right by the way every day every day every stood where that I've ever seen at the end of the shock Herod service the morning service it is tradition that we read these thirteen principles for for the faith of Judaism and you'll find that it speaks it lumps two of them together one is that we believe in the coming of Messiah with a complete faith and although that coming delays we will wait for it every day and then the next thing that they put alongside of messiahs coming is faith in the resurrection now why is it they rightly understand prophecy when Messiah comes and we're talking about his second coming there is going to be a resurrection and whenever and I mean whenever there is a reference to resurrection what should come into our mind is Kingdom when we looked at the Gospels none of the disciples none of the disciples believed that Messiah would rise from the dead correct there was only one godly woman who believed that he was going to die no one did even though he told them over and over I'm going up to Jerusalem for Passover when we hear Passover two thoughts should come into our mind death and redemption Passover death there's got to be death visiting your home right at Passover go back to Exodus God says death is coming and you can experience it in one of two ways either the death of the Passover lamb he's got to die right or the death of the firstborn but death is going to visit each house see we have to understand it so Passover relates to death but also Redemption and when we talked about resurrection it should cause us remember they didn't believe in the resurrection they had no true Kingdom expectation that's what Christianity teaches and it's right they did not believe in messiahs resurrection no one right no one went to the tomb on that first day of the week expecting him to be one alive but he said it he says I'm going up to Jerusalem I'm going to be betrayed I'm going to be be condemned and I'm even he says in Matthew and I'm going to be crucified but on the third day I'll rise again he says no signs gonna be given except the sign of Jonah as Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights I will be in the belly of the earth three days and three nights then I'm going to rise there's a kingdom connection between the resurrection study the book of Revelation we find that Messiah judges there's going to be a resurrection that leads into the Millennial Kingdom there's going to be a judgment after the Millennial Kingdom there's going to be a resurrection and then the New Jerusalem resurrection and kingdom go together now why am I saying this well look at verse 15 see whenever we just lift one scripture out see this is the reason why that this group is buying into this teaching because they have aligned themselves with a group that is known there's no formal organization but one of this leaders says we're part what we are experiencing is a new Apostolic Reformation and what they're teaching is this they are saying that due to this new Apostolic Reformation where they are being called apostles in fact a couple of them were in Nazareth with a very very ungodly Christian leader and they signed this document that hold it up pureness there is a new apostolic age and here's two of the Apostles for Israel it's very dangerous when when we call upon ourselves now are their apostles sure there's people who are sent out but not apostles in the sense of those twelve apostles that conference in Jacksonville it is held at celebration church in Jacksonville the the pastor there he's trying to get into this movement and one of the qualifications is to be an apostle to see Messiah to have known him so quite conveniently guess who appeared to him a few months ago Jesus so now he has his his credentials I too am NOT possible very problematic notice what the scripture says verse 15 here's what we can expect when Israel and Israel will in the last days at the end of those final seven years what will come not worldwide revival but this is what the Word of God says Romans 11 verse 15 for if their rejection same context to verse 12 for if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world what and the implication is what will be the outcome of their fullness what tells us doesn't say worldwide revival it says the outcome is life from the dent corrector life from the dead it is a reference to what resurrection resurrection and what did Paul is saying is this that when is you says blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord when national Israel those who are in the land when they see Messiah coming to deliver them they're going to receive him as a courier 12 says and that's why he's coming to establish the kingdom the time for world revival in this dispensation is over his return Israel's reception of him when he comes the second time not talking about the Blessed hope but the second coming when that happens when Israel's right finally the kingdom of God will take place now we can continue on in the book of Romans right because Paul clarifies it fully he says he speaks about the olive tree right now the olive tree is that Israel the olive tree represents the kingdom of God the the family now we can use the term Israel for the olive tree if we understand the term Israel correctly let me give an example Romans 9 verse 6 at the end I don't know that verse where it says Paul is speaking and he says not all of Israel is of Israel right now there's no question no disagreement he is using Israel that term in two different ways that's the only way that you can make sense of it not all of Israel is of Israel what does he mean here again I don't think there's really any debate among the scholars when he says not all of Israel he uses in Israel the first time he's speaking about Israel meaning the Jewish people when he uses Israel the second time he's talking about a kingdom people see one of the uses of Israel and we see this in Genesis chapter 28 and verse 3 Genesis 1:8 in verse 3 it says Israel will be a not a de but how a congregation of a means of peoples so Israel from a kingdom perspective is going to be comprised of many nations correct and what do we know what what Paul is saying is this not every Jewish person is going to be a kingdom person likewise not every Gentile is going to be a kingdom people only those who receive Messiah that's true for the Gentile it's true for those of Israel so what Paul is saying here is that when Messiah returns and Israel receives him yes there is something that is prophetically significant it's the establishment of the kingdom and then Paul clarifies later on in Romans 11 where we are now when he says you know there's an olive tree and in that olive tree there are branches right there are natural branches Jewish people and there are those wild olive branch the nations and God says he's able to take those unnatural those wild olive branches and graph them in and he's also able to do what those that he broke off of Israel the Jewish people he's able to graft them back in so the foundation when we look at this passage when we look at this passage it speaks of Israel both Jew and Gentile a congregations of people's when we look at the kingdom you know I love the kingdom because it's made of every race nation language tribe we're gonna see people that come from every language every color if you have some some bigotry some racism you don't belong in the kingdom of God all these different types of people that are unified made one people through the blood as as Don said the power that blood of Messiah so as Paul speaks here he goes to a very important verse that so misunderstood and then all of Israel will be saved now people use that so incorrectly all of Israel will be saved only has a portion to do with the Jewish people only a portion what Paul says here read the context this is that heart all it takes is slowly reading writing down things getting terms and definitions the Word of God is so consistent once you understand rightly one passage it prepares you for another which prepares you for another and as you grow in the Word of God the Scriptures they're not hidden they're not a mystery they are surprisingly clear and specific and what Paul says is this the hardness has happened in part right there's Jewish people in the kingdom believers always throughout the ages in fact if you look at the book of Acts and acts 15 they had had this big convention in Jerusalem to see whether a Gentile it could come into the congregation of the Redeem so when we look here and speak about issue this this kingdom creation he says a hardening has happened in part to the Jewish people this diminishing of Israel has to do with a set period of time until what happens the fullness of the nations right is that what it says so Israel's pardon because of unbelief because of wanting to establish righteousness on their terms that's what Paul says they are hardened for a season in part until the fullness of the Gentiles come in and then what is God going to do when that fullness is complete he turns his attention back to who the Jewish people and he's going to return they will see him they will receive him so we have Israel a Gentile component and a Jewish component and when that Gentile component is full they bring is the Israel component and then he says all of Israel will be saved he does not mean every Jewish person wish it was the scripture doesn't say that when he speaks of all of Israel he uses it as Paul does the second time in Romans 96 all of Israel both Jew and Gentile and then he reminds us how this is going to come to its conclusion when is the kingdom going to be established he quotes a scripture from Isaiah 59 and verse 20 where he says a redeemer will come forth from Zion and he will turn away the sin of Jacob what does that speak of no debate about this Messiah is coming in last day to redeem the Jewish people they will be redeemed by sight when they see him then this is the explanation for when all of Israel will be saved in the last days when that final component Israel the Jewish people come to faith through Messiah this one that comes from Zion for the purpose of forgiving and dealing with the sins of Israel now over and over we see Messiah returns this is when Israel gets saved and what happens thereafter Kingdom never here again I'm saying this publicly we're gonna put this on right Gary we'll put this on online we'll open it up if anyone can find a scripture that says no no when Israel gets saved then there's going to be worldwide revival I will make another video saying I am a mis leader I have spoken falsely I will repent publicly just like those who taught that falseness about the four blood moons as they should do we need to realize this is serious people are being misled and before we go to the passage that I want to go to I want us to be reminded of something what really was the motivation for for sharing this is the horrible is that a good adjective the horrible associations that those of revived and tikkun have with false teachers I'm sorry I may like them I may associate and see them as brothers but when they associate with individuals that are so far removed from sound biblical teaching and expressions manifestations that they say the Holy Spirit when I know no this is not of God because where the Holy Spirit is there's edification there is righteousness I debated I debated to show on the screens some examples of this let you decide a few weeks ago my wife she put a couple videos up because I was grieved about that and so was she but but I thought as I was talking to Mitchell and to Israel I thought as I said can you do this I felt overwhelming don't let these demonic expressions and that's what they are into to this place I think that's why Don was led to pray the way that he prayed we don't want it you could look at it go to if you want on YouTube and AR that's Nash New Apostolic Reformation and AR watch Israel now that's a group of individuals in Israel who share with me our concern because we want to see those in Israel and those around the world come to faith and we are overwhelmingly convinced within that these associations and the manifestations that they say are wholly fired water pouring down from heaven upon we are utterly convinced that these are satanic they are demonic and we ought not associate with those who teach and practice such falsehood where the Holy Spirit is edification take out your Bible and look with me to the Book of Luke Luke chapter 21 we'll do this very briefly and be reminded we have two reports and I want to give adequate time for those individuals I do want to look at one of these passages very briefly Luke chapter 21 let's begin with verse 12 now this scripture is similar but different than Matthew 24 and when we look here we see that it's somewhat out of order a different one because what we know is this when we look at Matthew 24 there is going to be wars and rumors of war there's going to be ethnically nation against nation earthquakes famines pestilence all types of instability and it says then they will persecute believers that's the order but notice what it says here it talks about these things what I just mentioned Wars rumors of wars earthquakes pestilence and then it says in verse 12 but before all these things now I have to be careful because this Greek word Pro usually means before in a chronological sense but most scholars you can do the research I did most dollars understand that what he's saying here is that Hana logical because it would disagree with what he says in Matthew 24 when he says before all these things he's talking about it not chronologically but in significance it is more important to Messiah you being persecuted for your faith than an earthquake than a pestilence this is important to him because we suffer in his name it is our testimony that he puts in us that brings about this suffering so he's saying here before all these things meaning of the greatest importance to him before all these things they will cast upon you their hands there's going to wrap us with a purpose above all these things they will cast their hands upon you they will persecute you and they will deliver you over to synagogues and prison now here again we have throughout the New Testament the term synagogue but we need to realize something if you ask a historian in Israel religious one where was the first synagogue see we usually think of a synagogue as a house of Jewish worship right but the term synagogue is it isn't Hebrew it's Greek synagogue a it means to gather together and they will say there's debate about the first synagogue ever whether it's at Masada or gamla now that's much after the time of Yeshua so how can this be well very simply they're speaking about a synagogue in our terms as a place dedicated for for the house of Israel house of Judah Jewish people to worship to assemble for that purpose of reading the Word of God praying but when we look in the New Testament and they say synagogue they're speaking about a gathering place like a community center and one of the things that were done in synagogues was they would have trials so don't think of this as a message of a religious Jewish house of worship he's using it in the way that the term synagogue is used in most of the New Testament a gathering place now why is it all so religiously thought of because on Shabbat and on Mondays and Thursdays they would use that location for the reading of the Torah but it had a much larger use multi-purpose so what he says here is that they will deliver you over to synagogues what he's talking about is for trial for to be examined by the community leaders and what will happen well will be condemned and will put where in presence and they will bring us before kings and governors meaning national governments and also local governments and all of this has a reason for it but before he says it he tells us why on account of my name who's speaking Yeshua this is all going to happen to believers believers on account of my name but look at verse 13 good news there's a purpose in that anytime you suffer in his name there's a purpose he tells of what it is but this will bring about a result this will work out for you for the purpose of testimony bearing witness so we can expect that see I would say that it's not the salvation of Israel that is going to bring many people to faith I would say it's going to be the persecution of believers well before this in the last seven years but before the very end that is going to be a testimony a witness for the gospel and what did he say in verse 14 he says therefore set your hearts that means make a decision make a decision set your hearts not to predetermine - to pre meditate upon the defence what you should say what you should not say he says don't do any preparation whatsoever and that's not for servants that's for testimony in this unique time he says verse 15 for I that's Messiah for I will give to you a mouth and wisdom he's gonna take over our mouth he's going to put inside wisdom which your opponents those who are laid against you will not be able to speak against nor oppose but nevertheless verse 16 but you will be delivered or betrayed by parents by brothers and that can mean brothers and sisters by other family members and friends and they will kill some of you now this is you know I have a book that says promises of the Bible this isn't here but it's this thing it is a promise it's a promise it is going to happen be ready the scripture says that God does not lie this is going to happen and you know what we here in the West sometimes are just so foolish because we only think about what's happening here there's so many places where believers are suffering suffering because of his name and what the scripture tells us is that that's suffering that persecution that's getting worse now is going to get much worse and it's happening there and there and there and it's gonna happen here as well be ready for it see what is taking place is this there is a a false teaching and this group that's known as the New Apostolic Reformation they they really don't like prophecy the reason I say that is this they are teaching that there's great worldwide revival will do something it will give the church I'm using their language give the church authority over the media over education over governments over the arts overall society that we are going to be so triumphant this worldwide revival that we're going to get everything ready and then Messiah will come meaning that they believe that why I just shared with you what Messiah just thought that's not going to happen no they want to look at all these passages and say it's all about what happened in 70 AD know what prophecy they're prophecy is we're on the verge of a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit that is going to bring about transformation of this world but remember what Messiah taught in this last day context that we mentioned yesterday he says those who want to save their life will lose it we don't see any words in the scripture then in the last days things are going to be so perfected by the church that messiahs going to come and say everything is ready no you say well the bride is going to get to herself ready yes she's going to be adorned because of the persecution that she's going to go through see we need to not make the mistake that the rabbi's are making today and that is the day look at prophecy and they say that there are scenarios and all these bad ones God has cancelled out to end there's only good prophecies left so much of the church's buying in to that we ought not be are not we need to understand things based upon prophetic truth that says that in those last days that we are going to be overcome that's ok it's ok to be overcome if we continued on in this passage from Luke 21 says that we're going to be killed that's all right because all of the promises that interest me most from God our kingdom promises and they can kill me but I'll live again I'll live again with a new body in that kingdom and in the end we will be victorious not transforming the world this is a false teaching let me close with this I have a good friend that lives in Dallas and and I consider him a truly a man of integrity someone that I look up to someone who's been kind to me I think he's a very mature believer and we disagree on certain points dealing with the end times in the Blessed hope and I want to challenge you because there is a doctrine of imminency you know that doctrine the doctrine of imminency says that the Blessed hope the wrapped it could happen any time and my and my friend and he is just that my friend we were debating he says Brooke look at this article that he wrote he says look here I have 10 verses that demonstrates that proves that messiahs bless of hope is eminent so I received this now what should I have done read them check them out you cannot imagine on line on internet on articles I think some of the the biggest false teachers and I'm not accusing him that at all but some of the biggest false teachers they had the most scriptural citations to support my advice to you is read them I wrote a little book rifki mention it last night called the Blessed hope I say that's not because I want you to get it but I say this because in that I go over those ten or so verses that he says and he's not alone these are the verses that people quote for the doctrine of imminency I would just invite you read those and see doesn't really say anything about his imminent return answers no now the chief verse is no one knows the day or the hour is that true yes but just because we don't know the day or the hour doesn't mean it can happen anytime that's not true not true look at those verses see for yourself don't be misled by wonderful nice many biblical citations take the time to read them you'd be surprised you're gonna be very surprised what they truly say and what they do not say you [Music]
