foreign so so so oh jesus called his followers to care for the foreigner and refugee living among us adventists all over the world are doing just that anise is a seventh-day adventist living just outside washington dc he grew up in the country of jordan and spends time each year in medical mission there since living in the united states he decided that a single trip each year was simply not enough he took action to seek out refugee communities in his area to help meet their needs we used to go out and deliver food supplies to a refugee center in gettysburg maryland but we never got a chance to meet those families anisse realized that in order to have a larger impact he needed to get to know these families face to face the personal interaction is very important because here as refugees from a foreign country they have no relatives or families you know so this has become a personal touch with them and to build the relationships and build the bridges they have become our friends and one of the syrian refugee children was telling her mother mom i like it when the church come and visit us anisse and others have combined community relationship and service in a christ-like way they visit the many apartment homes of the refugee families and bring them items that the families may need this has been a great way to show these families that the adventist community truly cares about them this has become part of my ministry with we gather food supplies and cleaning supplies as needed and we deliver to our friends who have come from a foreign land we bring you know rice olive oil cooking oil lentils uh laundry detergent and other cleaning supplies this work has helped many refugee families feel more comfortable but just like jesus ministry here on earth aneesa's mission is to build genuine connections the primary focus of our relationship is to be their friends and also during the pandemic we have kept that personal touch even if we haven't come to see them i constantly on the phone talking to them every week just to see how they are be of encouragement to them and that has meant a lot to me personally anise and many others are continuing to embrace the calling of jesus to love and care for their neighbors who are foreigners and refugees please pray for anis and his friends to continue finding ways to serve these vulnerable communities and find even more ways to show jesus love [Music] happy sabbath church god is good that is good uh we welcome everyone who come here and online we give you opportunity to watch us here and if you feel safe you can come here and worship us with the at the church here uh we have a few announcements here and first of all i want to give password yeah over the course of the summer and during the period that we have been in and out we have had some couple of baptisms that we've had and because of travel we didn't really have an opportunity to actually introduce these members so that you may see them that they are part of the family we have had to vote them in but we want to take the time to actually acknowledge some of these baptisms there's two baptism one of the other candidates still couldn't make it but when they do come we want to introduce them to the church and to acknowledge them so you can see that hey they are part of the family one such name is the name of uh brother darcy brody darcy brody welcome once again to the body of christ and we have this little package for you there's 10 million dollars in there in the form of a bible [Laughter] we want to say announcement we have from the youth youth department good morning church um on behalf of the youth council i'd like to make an announcement regarding those who are in grade 10 and above we will be starting up our youth meetings once again and on the 24th so friday the 24th we will be having a bible study along with a bible study we'll also be having a youth registration so it is important that if you are in grade 10 and up that you come to this registration so that we can have the contact information and other information that we need to update you about events in the future and keep you in the know if you are not able to attend on friday 24th uh contact either myself or pastor kingsley we'll make sure to get you registered either way so that no one's missing out thank you and next announcement i want to ask pablo for pathfinders [Music] so [Music] pathfinder day is a once a year sabbath officially set aside by the world sdh ribs designed to give our pathfinders an opportunity to be seen heard and acknowledged in their local church i find their rights specifically with the cultural social and religious education of children and teens with the goal of being like jesus for me i find this is very important because i meet new friends and learn new subjects and do other exciting activities like marches and camping day my experience at edmonton south pathfinder club was amazing we went camping in full hills and preacher told us that god is the one able to give us identity and he calls us his precious treasure as the name of my club says we are the kingdom seekers and we belong to god's kingdom i invite you to take part of this experience [Music] hello church family i am fabulous i'm one of the glove leaders of my founders here at church and i'm so happy to announce that today we are celebrating our 71 anniversary of pi finders so once you become a bifunder you're always a pie founder so uh we are so happy to announce that we also are launching the pi funder club here at church and we are shooting the forums well actually we have the forums the main entrance of the church so if you have kids from 11 years old to 15 years old we really encourage you to register them now we have the forms it looks pretty same like this one and we have them at the main entrance also we want to announce you that we have a meeting this friday september 24th from 6 00 to 7 30 pm here at church for register all the kids here so we really encourage you to bring your kids and come with us to have a sunset worship here at church as well and well we really encourage you to support our church and our pie finders as well yeah you didn't need me then we were good then he said pastor come and stand with me but i just want to encourage that we want to launch our club it's important that we launch because we are the kingdom seekers this is a journey of preparation please come out parents info night come out and we're going to conquer the kingdom for the kingdom for such information which you can find to read if you miss something so we're going to miss some announcements here most importantly we have here like you see we have a new restrictions in uh province of alberta and um with the recent alberta house corporate restrictions we'll be adjusting our worship service to accommodate these changes like you see we have all our lower sabbath school division right now online for the kids and we're going to keep one cyber skill class here in the in the century and one class for now will be online please uh again all the samba school uh zoom link on our search website uh also we send it by email which we will have and uh by text message and join the bible study and we'll be officially gonna have more time being maybe on zoo maybe start a little bit early to have a little bit of prayer meeting uh that's in the plans right now so please join us if you enabled if not able to come here if we come here we have to keep our mask and we have capacity for 147 people to be here present at the church another thing here we are keep uh we have um keep going with the quara with a 5k up 5k uh fundraising if you haven't done yet please encourage everyone everyone and happy sabbath um as always i talk about my kids and when sophie was really little and we would be driving around in the car sometimes when we would go by she would see someone that was smoking and she would point it out she goes that person's smoking somebody should tell them that's not good for them someone should tell them they stop and we'd say yes you're right you know and next day or so later she'd see someone else and she would say the same thing and we would chuckle and yes you're right smoking's bad for you and then this summer as we're driving around caitlyn started noticing that some people don't ride their bikes with a helmet and she's grown up wearing a helmet all her life as she's done that and so i don't notice it when i'm driving but guaranteed caitlin's going to notice it and we'd be driving and she'd be like that person's not wearing a helmet they're not being safe someone should tell them and this was something that she would notice everywhere and you guys are probably thinking where am i going with this well the thing is they knew those were important things and they noticed it and they wanted people to know we have something much more important we have a father who loves us and we're at a time in the world where we know he's coming very soon and so many people don't know about him how many of us are willing to stand up and tell everybody that we love our jesus and that they need to know about him as well join us as we sing stand up for jesus [Music] so [Applause] [Music] his army shall be [Music] is [Music] is [Music] and strength [Music] stand up adventure there were a lot of good things and there were challenges this can happen on any trip maybe more on this one than others but the one thing that i can say for sure is that no matter what the challenges were and the things that happened god was always there no matter how even at some points when kids said to daddy i want to go home you know and and some things were not necessarily as enjoyable that without fail god answered our prayers god carried us through and he's always there he's there to carry all of us through we're on another time in the province where we don't know what's going to happen we don't know how long it's going to be who's going to be affected and what but we know that we have an amazing god that has carried us through so far and will continue to do so all we have to do is lean on him and know that he is there [Music] falling on my demons in worship giving all i am to seek your face lord all i am is yours my whole life i place in your hands god of mercy humbled i bow down in your presence at your throne [Music] i wanna be where you are my whole life [Music] in your hands [Music] i i wanna be with my [Music] is in my life [Music] in my life [Music] to be lifted [Music] [Applause] [Music] is [Music] i call you [Music] i wanna be where you are [Music] our heavenly father we came today with the joy to celebrate sabbath and to receive your blessings and despite what is happening right now with the restrictions we serve you with open heart and love and we are even we are suffering today we may not feel well we praise you because you're awesome god it's hard when we have people or people suffering people in the hospital they're not feeling well emotionally physically we're giving we praise you anyway and we lift up those people in your hands we have sutlana in the hospital regime we have other families here who are not feeling well please heal them and give them joy give give them peace in that special sabbath day please give them that inc strength to go through this hard time we're right now praising your name for everything that you've done throughout the week good and bad but raise your everything and with joy we came here to glorify your holy name to open the book of life to read about you and to learn something new from source of life given to us we praise for the worship team for praise on and right now we're praying for the pastor we're going to be preaching bless his heart bless his mouth and speak through him speak to us that that word will change our lives our hearts and we will going home with the joy looking forward because we are waiting for your second coming help us to have faith in you to love each other and stay close to you everything is asking in your holy name and we're praying father son and holy spirit amen [Music] [Music] [Music] it was a bright summer's morning two boys lay plain in their garden as they played stockholm pool hide and seek they felt the wind gently caressing their ears and burned sun their mother was busy cooking in the kitchen oh this was a perfect day happy sabbath boys and girls immediately gunshots rang out in neighbors were crying for help and soldiers invaded their community as they see the boy run off into the bushes he asked his brother to come and his mother was trying to keep up with the movie to no avail his brother and his mother fell by the wayside he ran into the bushes and he didn't stop running until the gunshots went faded away little by little little by little but as night came down he found a barn to sleep alone and in the cold he fell asleep it was the other side of midnight that he woke up awakened by a call of nature the wind eerily blew through the wilderness leaves a sudden gosh drowned off the chirping of nightlife almost on you shoes of shadows blanketed the barn the character of the moment was on our fear this little boy knew that something was wrong the throw beneath his chest the holding of dogs sent him scoring under the haystack you see he lost his mother and he lost his brother alone and his pundit the next morning he got up shadows blanketed but he felt to himself you know what does life have left on me as he walked down the path he saw some friendly soldiers and they came over to him and they said what happened to the boy as he explained to them they took him to the base while i was at the base he said i want to fight in this war you see friends little boys this story is taken from world war ii over there in russia stalingrad this is the boy's name is surrogate a surrogate looked on the generals he said i want to fight because i lost my mother and my brother his brother was ten surrogate was six they said you can't help because you're just a little boy surrogate said i will help friends from that day forward throughout the war surrogate would carry food to the battlefield surrogate would help wounded soldiers as they go to the hospital and needed assistance the story is told that one day a soldier lay dying on his bed and he took out his and said surrogate read this letter for me it came from my wife a surrogate open the letter he started to tell the soldier about his cat and his dog and his cause and his brothers and sisters back home the man said but i don't have a dog i don't have a cat the resources said what does it matter surrogate is reading you see friends he couldn't even read but surrogate decided that he was gonna help another day he was heading into the town and he saw some he heard some scuffling in bushes as he looked the binoculars boys and girls he realized that two german soldiers were in their spine on their base surrogate went back and truly general and they caught the two spies at six years old he was thrust into world war ii world war ii the last 13 million boys and girls were lost in world war ii here in canada or there in canada where you are in canada there's just two million boys and girls within the age of five to nine but surrogate was thrust into battle he is a youngest soldier ever to be in battle why am i talking about this there is a little soldier also in the bible called david he slayed goliath and i'm saying to you today you may not be david you may not be like surrogate but your smile can bring that sunshine to someone else's life i know sometimes shadows may blanket your life where mommy and daddy may not be at home even bullying at school and peer pressure i am saying to you boys and girls today that there is a man called jesus he's your best best friend today a story comes to an end i'd like to tell you this no matter how doom and gloomy things may sound or be or even sometimes seen i am saying to you smile that smile can change the world for somebody and as this about goes to an end as the bible says i'm very hard to a good like a medicine thank you for coming to children's story time with uncle noel see you next time bye [Music] uh happy sabbath friends of god well that's okay happy sabbath friends of god god is good all the time yes indeed he is excellent i am i am delighted to be uh here and to be with you um after much traveling this morning i tried to put on some of my suits they could not fit so it was a good time that i had with my family and traveling my body is a testimony to that god has been blessed me here once again to declare the treasures of heaven what god wants us to hear wants me to hear and i pray that you pray as well it is not an easy subject that we will tackle today but nonetheless the holy spirit will be the one to guide us i was told to clarify that on friday the youth is at 7 00 p.m the time was missed 7 p.m and the pathfinders is it starts at 6 00 p.m um let's bow our heads as we take this time to pray gracious loving father you know my struggles you know my challenges i bring myself before your father and ask that you help me and ask that you speak through me and ask father that the holy spirit may work through me and that whoever is listening online in church they may hear a word of encouragement that they know that you love them that i may know that you love me that i may know father that you are working within me thank you jesus thank you your name i pray amen it's not too not too long ago um probably about maybe eight years ago i was at cuc actually earlier than that i got married in the year 2012 immediately after getting married i went to cuc and not the smartest move not that i think about it my wife had her job i had my own job and things just changed drastically we moved from being able to take our debit card and just tap and just tap we got to a time where you first of all have to check the bank account to be able to see what's in there um but it was a beautiful journey that we had because we got to learn each other we got to know each other we got to understand each other through that low and high moment and while i was there somebody told me about this intentional idea of self-care and i thought to myself you know what maybe i'll do some self-care i'll do something that i have been doing before i went to cuc and my wife encouraged to say i got self-care going on for me why did you do yourself okay so i picked up soccer now before i left to play soccer i used to play for edsa the edmonton district soccer association here for the league and i was supposedly known as one of the good players depending on who you ask and um in me getting to see you see i thought you know what i'm one of the good players now you need to understand that in your first year of university you're on university with 19 year olds 18 year olds and 20 year olds and the biggest gap between me and wanda the soccer players was easily about eight years and there i was going to cuc going for the soccer tryouts thinking i got this you know what i'm gonna do i'm gonna spin around and twist and hold the ball and just and then my name is going to be listed in one of the individuals that have been chosen for the team so it was a three-day try out i still remember dr noble donko he was a coach at that time when i went to cuc so we went for the first day um he made us run some laps and i thought i had this and i began to realize that some of these folks were just passing me as if i was just standing in one spot okay that's okay i figured you know what i got experience and when we get into the into the indoor court i'm i'm just gonna use my experience day one went by day two i came um i was actually late for practice and dr noble donko made me run additional laps which meant that i was already tired by the time we got into the field but that was okay uh it helped me allow me to open up my chest a little bit and feel that that breathing happening so i played i played all out i played all out and i thought to myself yeah you know what this is it this is it this is it then on the third triad i really showed up i i i really showed up i i play defense so um i i i showed up and and and and at the end of the practice dr donker says i'm going to post the names this was a thursday i'm going to post the names on monday on the wall of my office come by and take a look at your name and then uh come and see me i'll give you uh a jersey that you'll be using fair and fine i was living in red deer drove in on monday i was just finishing work so i drove in i couldn't make it then at the end of the day after class was done on monday i went to dr noble donco uh to get my name so i can get my details so i got there um i stood in front of the door i scanned through the names i didn't see the name kings i figured maybe he wrote a different way he started with my last name so i went back again to the top and i started looking for my last name moyo my name wasn't there i didn't make the team in those trials it was a big blow in all my time playing soccer as a at elementary high school and even in in in in social settings i always i always was chosen in fact i was used to be the one to be picked hey can you pick your team on this side but in this particular day i was faced with the reality that i didn't make the team in essence i felt this sense that i was not good enough and yet i told myself i am one of the best players if anyone was not gonna make it i could give you a list sorry and so yeah sword and sword is sloppy the way he stops the ball so and so yeah but i didn't make the team friends of god we're living in a in the triad phase of time and everyone is on the list to make the team but not everyone will make it you see it is god's intention that all men be saved that's how much god is loving and caring he wants each and every one of us to be saved in fact as we were studying earlier on with the teens hell was meant for the devil and his angel it wasn't meant for me it wasn't meant for you it wasn't meant for god's people it was meant for the devil and his angels it is god's intention that i be there that you'll be there that you'll be there that you be the and that everyone be found but the devil is on a mission to make sure that somebody listen to the sound of my voice will not make the team in first chronicles chapter 12 verse 32 we read about the sons of isaka the bible tells us of the sons of ezekiel men who understood the times with knowledge of what israel should do their chiefs were 200 and all their kinsmen were at their command the sons of issachar were a unique group of people the bible doesn't tell us a lot about these sons of issachar all we know that they were wise men they were able to guide israel they were in fact the people that insisted that david they saw something in david and rooted for david to be king they understood time their council was heeded because they knew and understood something they gave counsel on issues of the law and counseled on issues of judgment there were the go-to people if you wanted to understand the moving of god friends of god in the last days god is looking for people that will be like the sons of ezekiel a people that will will the people that will be sold out for god god has not left us to fumble trial and error our way he has given us everything we need to understand what's coming and how to stay anchored in the love of christ god intensely pursues that all of us may make the heavenly team i don't know about you i'm making it to the heavenly team i mean i've been cut before i'm not going to be cut again i pray that you want to make the heavenly team as well i pray that you're praying for your family your spouse and your children that we all get to heaven while we are there heaven will just be a place where we're just catching up talking about how god has been gracious to us but it will be a pure church it will be a church that will be purified it will be a church that we will that will not have any blemish and so this is what god does over the course of time god has used um some methods to be able to purify his church the first method that god has used was the method of calling out calling out calling out we see this first instance with abraham abraham uh god calls to abraham in the earth the chaldeans where there's pagan worship in fact abraham was a pagan worshiper his home was loaded with pagan stuff and he says to abraham dude i got something better for you so why don't you come out from that place i'm going to take you to a place that's unique and special for you so abraham was called out we see that also israel israel was called out israel the mission of israel was to be called out and then they would attract people to come in and to hear the treasures and the beauty of who god was so they were called out a unique people a people that maintained a certain lifestyle a people that believed in the one true god we see the calling not continue to happen the new testament believers are called out as well now god is calling out the gentiles god is calling out the jews god is doing this calling out calling out the dark ages come we have the walden seas that we when the church united with the state uh the wildernesses we went into the who went into the wilderness were persecuted animal skin was was was put on them and they were sent out into the woods and dogs were sent out to hunt them in this difficult time of trouble god called them out god uses this first method of calling out and eventually in the last day 1844 god makes this calling out one more time and he founds continues to build his church and so friends of god when we begin to understand this idea of calling out it makes you wonder or question the offshoots see the problem with offshoots is that uh um if we have a problem here me and nakit and lily uh we will think that uh sharon has got a problem uh uh uh um um so we're gonna pull out that's an an offshoot and i'll have beef with lily and and and because i don't like lily she's got long hair and i got short hair um um i'm i'm gonna pull out again and i'm gonna find other people and then that group goes the problem with offshore that it continues to go and to go on and to go on it never stops because it keeps on finding problem after problem of the problem but i'm glad god just didn't stop there god has his second method that he uses in order to be able to purify his church and this is where we are right now we've come to understand it as the shaking and sifting the shaking and sifting in the last days is what god is going to use to purify his church the writer in hebrew sets the stage for us he he sets the stage for us he he he gives the experience of israel god came to moses and said moses i want you to go to pharaoh and tell them to let my people go moses makes all the excuses that he can find and god has a plan he says dude i got aaron your brother who's going to be with you i want you to go to my people and get them to come out because i have a place for them so abraham so moses so moses goes and calls out and and and and god makes a promise to moses and to abraham that he was going to make him a great nation abraham build up abraham come out abraham you will have descendants as many as the stars and so and so and so and so god is always on the move he calls these group of people and while he's calling this group of people he eventually sends them to a place in mount sinai he has a path that he wants them to go he just showed them what he can do with pharaoh in the with the ten plagues now he walks them through to mount sinai as they get to mount sinai god wants to have a relationship with them god wants to show them how merciful and kind he is and he has shown them before what he's done with the red sea that i can part the red sea just for you because i want to spend some time with you i want to be in a relationship with you a god who loves and would not let go of his children the writer of hebrews paints this picture he he helps us to navigate in order to be able to explain what the shaking and sifting is like so he takes us on a journey from beginning of hebrews chapter 12 telling us the story of how moses was called to go and speak to pharaoh pharaoh fought against moses and pushed against god eventually yielded after the ten plagues they moved on they crossed the red sea and after they crossed the red sea their first stop was at mount sinai watch god work at mount sinai god says to moses i want to come and speak to my children but i want you to come to the mountain first and have a conversation with me i got a few details that i want to let you in on so when you go down you'll tell my children what these details are and and i i just can't wait to build a relationship with this people because i love them and he says in hebrews chapter 12 verse 19. moses comes down from the mountain and after he comes down from the mountain the blast of a trumpet and the sound of words with sound was such that those who heard beg that no further word be spoken to them this is the experience of the israelites moses is coming down his face is shining and after his face is shining the children of israel are waiting with anticipation for this god who is coming and then all of a sudden there is the shaking of the earth there is the rumbling of the earth and a trumpet is heard and the children of israel said whoa is this who god is is this how he is like and they push back they say um moses i i don't think we can handle this god why don't you go and speak to god for us and that's when their rebellion began a 40-day journey turned into 40 years 40 years they wandered to their death and missed the promised land and the he writer of hebrews then introduces us he says and the warning and the experience that those israelites had is going to happen again he says if those did not escape in hebrews 12 verse 26 he says and his voice shook the earth but now he has promised saying yet once more i will shake not only the earth but also the heaven this expression yet once more denotes the removing of things which can be shaken as of created things so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain friends of god our theology of the shaking and sifting has its foundation in the writings of hebrews chapter 12. in hebrews chapter 12 we see a shaking that happened at mount sinai and once again a unique shaking is going to happen at mount sinai there were those who rebelled and there were those who stood firm for god and yet once again there is a shaking that is taking place among the children of god ellen white writes in early writings page 50 the mighty shaking has commenced and will go on and all will be shaken out who are not willing to take a bold and unyielding stand for the truth and to sacrifice for god and his cause in fact it's not coming it is already begun some of us won't realize it until the sunday law is passed and there is conversation of people saying hey i'm going to wait for the sunday law when the sunday law is passed then i will know by that time it is already too late right now as we sit and attend church right now as we serve god right now as we have conversation as we gossip and talk about each other right now as we serve god up front and all the back and on the pews the shaking is beginning to occur and the purpose of the shaking it is to see who has their eyes on jesus not on the politicians who has their eyes on jesus not on what other people are doing who has their eyes on jesus not on that next great speaker but who has their eyes on jesus the familiar story about how to to boil a frog you don't take a frog i don't know why would somebody think of a story about boiling a frog but nonetheless for the purposes of our illustration somebody did an experiment on how to kill or boil a frog and they discovered that if you take boiling water and you pour it into a container where the frog is the frog will jump out it won't be boiled i don't know why they're boiling a frog anyway but but the person say that if you take a frog put it in a container with cold warm water and you put it on the stove and you turn the heat up the frog will not jump out when the temperatures warm up the frog will adjust its temperatures body temperature as well and as it continues to adjust and adjust before you realize it it's too late the water is already boiling and the frog is going towards its death and that's like the experience of christians nowadays we have become so complacent in what we do and how we do life and when anything comes around we we are just and when bad theology comes around we are just when god calls us about something we are just we keep on adjusting and adjusting and eventually those are the individuals that will be shaken ellen white writes in testimonies to the church he says those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conform to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be step by step one day i am moving closer towards rejecting god and this is this is the interesting thing um over the course of time uh there is there is there is a journey that every christian takes there was once upon a time when you were first baptized and you were on fire for jesus whatever they would ask you to do you were on and whenever they would call on you you would be on but but but something happens along the way and we see that every year or every two years when we get to nominating comedy the number of no's that we get continue to increase go to any church you'll discover that it is 20 percent of the church that is doing 80 of the work it is not that there's only those faces it's not that carol always wants to be playing the piano and leading now no no it's because we've gotten to a point whereby people are saying no no and before we realize it we're always using the same people i dare you this morning can i just challenge somebody if you have a gift and you haven't used it and you're saying hey i'm not going to be part of the 20 come and find me find one of the elders and say hey plug me in in this ministry i want to serve so that you don't fall into that trip of step by step you are yielding and before you realize it you're not engaged you're not participating and you're at that point of spiritual apathy matthew chapter 12 verse chapter 24 verse 12 tells us because lawlessness is increased more p most people's love will grow old i'm talking about the church i'm talking about the people of god the people that worship i'm i'm not talking to people that have left the church i'm talking about us here coming and attending church every day lawlessness will abound then love will wax cold more people are talking about how bad the program was but no one is volunteering to come and be a part of the program everybody's talking about how david is singing um an off-key note i don't even know david because i i can't hear but if somebody's talking about that you are off key but nobody's willing to come and do special music and so somebody's talking about how we don't have pathfinder ministry but nobody is willing to step up and say i'm going to be a pathfinder director the love that we have for god and the and the ministries of god is waxing code and that's where the devil wants us to be and that's where satan wants us to be where we have gotten to a point whereby we're not we don't feel anything we're not triggered we don't we don't we are so consumed by the things of the world uh the question this morning is where is your heart what is going on with you what is happening with you in your life what do you spend your time most consumed with where is your heart the interesting thing about the shaking if you take a bucket and you put in some golf balls and some tennis balls just dump them in there what the shaking does is when the winds of persecution when the winds of lawlessness and when all these things are happening around you and you shake the container the tennis balls will rise to the top and the golf balls will go to the bottom and that's what the shaking does and by the way at this point in time everything is still within the container nothing has left the container yet but then there is yet this principle of sifting whereby at the bottom there is holes that are just just just big enough for the golf balls but not big enough for the tennis balls so the shaking separates those who are sold out for god but but we're still in here the wheat and the tears and we're all still in here and when the sifting begins to occur the holes those who are not anchored those who don't have their eyes on jesus christ they are sifted out and they leave the church and the dangerous thing is that you may be in the church and you have already been shaken and that's where satan wants you to be i'm a seventh-day adventist keeping christian i come to church i read my quarterly in fact i even show up to church at 9 25 i am on time but yet it is now just a routine that you have it is no longer a relationship with god here's the interesting thing during the time of jesus the pharisees didn't make it but the prostitutes and the fishermen made it can i can i put it in a different way the pastors and the elders and the praise leaders may not make it but those who may be showing up late for sabbath school those who come and sit in the pews those who are supposedly not strong christians may be the ones to make it friends of god god is at work the holy spirit's purpose is to turn your eyes to jesus focus on jesus just because you've been a youth leader for so many years [Music] just because you've been held for so many years david i'm gonna pick on you man because you're just sitting right in front of me just because you've been singing in the praise team for so many years sister lauren you're sitting in front of me just because you show up and you sit in front in church for so many years it does not guarantee you a spot in the kingdom of god the shaking is happening they're just agencies that cause this shaking and sifting the bible tells us in uh in ii timothy 2 verse 16 the deception of timing and this is what we encounter and see every day more often in second timothy chapter 2 verse 16 the bible tells us but avoid worldly and empty chatter for it will lead to further ungodliness and their walk will spread like gangering among them are hamenius and philitus men who have gone astray from truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place and they upset the faith of some now notice carefully hyminius and philitus were not wrong in saying that the resurrection has taken the resurrection is taking place but their timing was wrong in fact they were talking about a resurrection that had not yet occurred and so what they were telling the people they were saying don't worry about it the resurrection has occurred and yet yet yet christ was yet to die and to be resurrected and that would have been the time of when the official time of the resurrection and the death and resurrection so they were correct on the event but in their timing they were wrong so anyone who was listening to them as we read this message and you read this this passage you're thinking hyminius and we're saying going astray and saying that the resurrection had already occurred what's wrong with that statement but the mistake in this bible passage is the timing the first deception that satan will use is that he will set the timing off if you throw away the seven day creation and the timing is off everything in the bible will begin to fall apart if you take bible prophecy and you begin to say that jesus is coming at a particular time or if you say the events of revelation have already occurred in the past or will occur in the future you have already missed the timing and once you do that and once you do that everything including the message of the cross it changes it is no longer anchored and we see that friends of god even within the church the seventh-day adventist church people that say that well it wasn't necessarily a seven day creation well maybe it was over the course of seven years this is things and conversation that are happening within the seventh-day adventist church if your theology is off on genesis 1 2 3 and 4 it is off on the rest of the bible those are the anchor bible chapters that anchor so if you were off on those bible passages you will be off the message of the cross will be off and this is things that we're seeing in the church and the next one is a false doctrine in first timothy chapter four verse one to two the bible tells us that but the spirit explicitly says that in latter times some will fall away from the faith paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons by means of hypocrisy of liars see it in their own conscious as with a branding as with the branding iron you talk about right now we're having a conversation about the vaccination that it is the mark of the beast and some of the messages that i get about the mark of the beast and the vaccination before i used to follow them and respond to some of these messages right about now i have just about given up in my mind i'm thinking a seventh-day adventist would hopefully understand what the mark of the beast is now now don't don't don't think that i'm saying that the mark of the beast and the vaccine are related it is not related friends of god but these are messages that are going on and being shared and the devil is watching there is a group yet within the seventh day adventist church that does not believe that the holy spirit is god let alone that jesus is god he was just the begotten son of god this is actually happening in the church and when you take away some of these when you uh when you subscribe to some of these theological things you begin to fall into traps of not fully understanding what the cross is about and those are the winds that shake and they move up the tennis balls and the golf balls to the bottom the shaking is happening those who already shaken when the sunday law comes will be sifted out of the church and some of them are already leaving the church right now because of compromise the thing about compromise is that simply compromise is simply changing the question to fit the answer should i be working on the sabbath maybe let's ask it a different way does god really care that i need to feed my family compromise several years ago a story is told about a man who was sitting at the niagara falls and while you were sitting at the niagara falls he was watching these seagulls come down on the ice that was breaking apart on the niagara falls spring time and some of these ice blocks had fish that were frozen in this ice blocks so the seagulls would land on these ice blocks they would begin to chip away the fish swallow the fish fly away but as this man was watching these seagulls before the actual falls in the niagara he saw this one seagull that was just sitting there chipping away swallowing chipping away swallowing and as you watch some of these seagulls chip away and swallow when they would get to the falls because it was a false they would flap their wings and fly away to safety but this particular seagull seemed to be so consumed with eating this fish eating this fish eating this fish and eventually as this man watched the seagull move closer and closer to the edge wondering when is the seagull going to fly away well it's a smart bird they keep on doing that as you watched closely the seagull as the ice block was about to fall down began to flap its wings and as it flapped its wings it seemed not to move the iceblog was stuck on the claws of the seagull and as the seagull tried to flap and flap and flap and flap it could not flap on time eventually it went down into the falls it had gotten complacent somebody maybe having that life of sin that sin that you know that god is convicting you of every day but you're still in that sin the devil wants you there because the longer you stay there the harder your heart is for you to respond to the call of god and before you realize it you will be sifted friends of god the last deception that is perhaps the one that will get many of us the seventh the adventists is miracles of healing can i just be real with you as you look around in christian though you watch tv you see these prophets in congregations and places they have somebody come in on a wheelchair somebody lays a hand on them the person walks up jumps up and down they are healed um somebody comes to see their pastor pass to have cancer the pastor calls prayer warriors i have a problem with that word prayer warrior anyway pray is not mental anyway he calls quote unquote prayer warriors let's just say praying people because everybody's a warrior and these people would lay their hands on this person who has cancer and the person is healed we watch it in third world countries we watch it in canada we watch it in different places and adventism has some skepticism when we see some of these things but it does not mean that we have a longing for healing miracles of healing don't get me wrong it's not that we don't have miracles of healing in our church but we don't see them as much as we see them out there it's as if our miracles happen on a down low we don't have a prayer day to say anyone who has sickness come out on the sabbath or the 4th sabbath of of december we're going to be praying for you there's gonna be healing and we invite everybody to come up front and the elders and the pastors we all pray for people and we celebrate and people walk out of the church hills we don't see that in the seventh-day adventist church not to say that we don't have healing and ellen white warns she says we need not be deceived wonderful scenes which satan will be closely connected will soon take place she's talking about the seven dads in his church all not not other denominations the seventh-day adventist church she says god's word declares that satan will work miracles he will make people sick and then he will suddenly remove from them this satanic power they will then be regarded as healed these works of opera and healing will bring seventh-day adventists to the test men who have great light will fail to walk in the light because they have not become one with christ there is a longing for healing within our churches and we talk about the health message but but but sometimes sometimes after you have been a vegan for the past 15 years you still get cancer unexplainable and it's not understandable but but these happen so we're longing for this god to show up as we move closer to the end of time different kinds of diseases will show up and there will be in the church and outside of the church we will long for healing as life expectancy continues to increase upwards to 80 85 people are living longer certain diseases will continue to increase and increase because bible prophecy tells us that as we are watching we are asking where is god but if your eyes are on god's hand and not on his heart you will miss it you will focus on those healing and that will be one of seven day adventist greatest tests therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not follow god's promise to his church he says that the church may appear as about to fail but it does not fail does not fall it remains while the sinners in zion will be sifted out the chaff separated from the precious weed friends of god if ever there is a place for you to be in stay in the church if you have a problem with the organisms stay in the church if you have a problem my brother david if you have a problem with david stay in the church if you have a problem with lorena stay in the church you're not coming to the church because of these individuals if you have a problem with me stay in the church i have no offering of salvation if you have a problem with our av team they are not doing this or doing that stay in the church the sifting and the shaking is happening and satan is working within the church he will bring a brother like me who will speak ill things gossip about you that is not a reason to leave the church friends of god i have news for you this morning god wants you as the church may seem as if it is about to fail as the generation z and the millennials are losing faith in institutions that perhaps are doing wrong or right and they're leaving the church all together friends of god i want to encourage you listening online and you sitting in the church right now stay in the church because when you jump out into the water you will drown satan wants you to go out as i get ready to to close you've heard that one before the preacher says i'm getting ready to close and then he says it the second time so this is my first one as i get ready to close god speaks to his last day church the leodysian church he says to the church of laodicea i know you did that you are neither hot or cold i wish you were called a heart so that because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold i will spit you out of my mouth because you say i am rich and have become wealthy and have need of nothing and you do not know that you about a promise that god has for you that you may not be shifted and shaken out of god's church in ephesians in ephesians chapter 1 verse 13. the bible tells us in him you also after listening to the message of truth the gospel of your salvation having also believed you were sealed in him with the holy spirit of the promise in him when we were created in genesis chapter 2 verse 7 god formed men from the dust of the crowd and breathed life the word is plural lives into his nostrils all of humanity was in adam so when adam sinned all of humanity particu of that penalty and sin but the good news is that god did not ask you and you and me that if we want to be taken out of adam he sat down with the father the son i'm getting excited y'all and the holy spirit and they had a council and and they said in that council you know what kingsley wasn't there um he didn't even ask to be a part of adam's lineage but let's make a plan for him we want to take him out of adam and put him in christ so that wherever christ was victorious therefore kingsley would be victorious wherever the church is failing but they are in christ they are considered victorious in ephesians chapter 1 says in him in him talking about christ in christ you me and you after listening to the gospel message of truth the gospel that simply says that no matter what you have done no matter what you have been through no matter what you are going through when you hear that message of love that calls you and says i know your life is messed up but but but come to me when the holy spirit comes to you and convicts you of righteousness of sin and of judgment and you respond to that call the bible tells us that you go into christ in christ now the good stuff begins to happen you may be seeing a messed up broken pastor kingsley but guess what because i am in christ there's good stuff happening me i am still a product in process i am a product that is at work and so the writer of ephesians says that you heard the truth the gospel of salvation and you believed the salvation once you accept that christ is your personal savior you are in christ you were sealed i i thought you would get excited you were sealed in other words you already set a part to be in the church and you will not be shaken but your eyes have to be on jesus christ if you turn your eyes to the political events you'll miss where jesus has taken you if you turn your eyes on the world and everything that's happening in the world you'll miss where jesus wants to take you as we get ready to close this is the second time as we get ready to close and brother david comes to sing our song i want to make an appeal to you that nothing is withholding you i want to make an appeal to you hell was meant for the devil and his angels i want to make an appeal to you stop focusing on the person sitting next to you on the pews i want to make an appeal to you the only way you can make it is by putting your trust in jesus christ else will fail who would have thought that we are in the fourth wave of acts of of of covert 19. we thought there was first wave then they talked about the second wave and then they talked about the third wave now it's the fourth wave and we're talking about booster shorts covet is here to stay if you keep your eyes on covered only and you take them off jesus christ there's going to be another thing that's going to come and it's just going to distract you keep your eyes on jesus stay in the church if something is robbing you wrong in the church see god to help you to deal with that because if you jump out of the boat you will drown if there's somebody who says and realizes that i belong to you if there's anyone who feels that they feel the darkness in their lives if there's anyone who says god i'm a little bit scared because i don't know where i am if that's you and you want to have that assurance of salvation this morning i invite you to pray this prayer god save me that's it god already knows how messed up your life is but if you say god save me i need help god will hear you he'll hear your voice because god knows his sheep god knows where you are and what's going on in your life [Music] [Music] take these hands and give them up for i have got the strength to praise you near enough see i have nothing i have enough [Music] take my voice and pour it out let it sing the songs of mercy i have found [Music] have nothing i have nothing without you [Music] no my soul [Music] is all your love to cover me [Music] that i have nothing without take my body build it up may it be broken as an offering of love [Music] [Music] right know my soul is all your love to cover me [Music] but i love you with all my heart with all my soul [Music] that i can find [Music] take my time here on this earth let it glorify all that you are i am nothing without you [Music] heavenly father we are nothing without you am nothing without you help us father help us father we want to stay in the church we do not want to be shaken somebody prayed that prayer god save me and i know that all of heaven heard that and i know heaven will respond to that prayer thank you jesus without you we are nothing help
