hi i'm bryce with phi tech fuel injection and this week on tech tuesday we're going to go over all the ultimate ls kits to make sure you got the proper kit for your next ls [Music] swap [Music] all right so what ls kit is best for you we need to start looking at all the ls kit configurations that we have available all the kits start off with just an ecu and harness package we offer these as a standalone with or without the transmission control and when you purchase a kit like this you'll get the ecu the whole harness and the handheld tuner to run an existing engine now this will only work with the cable driven engines and engines without the vvt the variable valve timing the good thing is is you could always swap a throttle body out we offer our throttle bodies independently and for the variable valve timing there is delete kits out there that allow you to hook up for that the nicest thing about the standalone ultimate ls kits is we offer a full range of harnesses that fit multiple applications a great example of that is is we supply two different types of sub harnesses for the injectors we offer an ev1 style connector and an ev6 style connector another thing that we do is we offer an extension harness for the cam sensor so if you have a rear cam sensor or a front cam sensor we have you covered be sure that you use the little timing chain cover harness if you have that available and it will be a direct plug-in if not we have another video on common mistakes where you can actually swap the extension harness a couple of pins and make it work without that extension harness so i highly recommend looking at that now moving on with the trans control portion that's also available on the stand-alone configuration we can control a 4l60 65 80 and 85 series transmission straight through the handheld tuner no additional boxes just a wiring harness now the cool things with this is is if you buy it without later on you could always buy these additional wiring harness connections and the computer's already set up for that now let's move on to our larger kits with intake manifolds we offer it in a 500 750 and a thousand horsepower level the 500 horsepower kits come with a 92 millimeter throttle body and then the horsepower and a thousand come with the 102 millimeter throttle body now with these intake manifold setups we offer them in four different intake manifolds we have it in a cathedral port in a short and a tall the tall is promoting a little extra torque but a bigger reason to look at that one it clears all of the truck accessory drives so if you have the upper water neck of a truck it points straight up the tall intake will clear it also the alternator on the other side is up and high and will also clear out of the way of the throttle body so you want to focus on if you're going to keep the truck accessory drive look at the tall cathedral port intakes now we also have a short version available for hood clearance then we also have an ls3 and ls7 port configuration so if you're not sure what ports you have on your engine just look up the cylinder head right up on the front on the passenger side there will be a model code number like a 706 if you just go online search it you can figure out what port the heads have now along with all the ls kits when you go to the 750 and 1 000 horsepower kits you get two o2 sensors and then we also offer the kits with or without the transmission control one last thing to touch on we also offer cone style air filters for your ls system not only that we also offer throttle cable brackets that go right in between the throttle body and the intake manifold this allows you to accept a stock ls style throttle cable to hook up to our throttle bodies now with all these kits you do not come with a fuel delivery system so that's the next thing that we need to look forward to because you need to get fuel up to your efi systems when it comes to plumbing your ls system we need to supply a fuel pump regulator and fuel lines so depending on your application these parts may differ we offer everything from an in-tank module then we also offer complete tank packages with the pump involved we also have booster pumps and inline fuel delivery kits as well so if you're starting from scratch i would highly recommend going to the in-tank pump setups running up to a regulator we have a low tight fit version available as well as a larger high horsepower version available but we'll have to regulate to the efi system as well as stainless steel braided fuel lines in sections of 20 foot or 40 foot whatever the case we have a solution for you so just to go over real quick again all we need to do is select whether we want just the ecu and harness or if we want to go with a complete kit what horsepower level we want and what intake manifold we want to go for our engine so we have again the standalone the 500 750 and 1000 horsepower packages with or without the trans control oh yeah forgot to mention 30 pounds of boost ready out of the box also you may have noticed off at the end we got our ultra ram series we have that available for the small block as well
