hmm [Music] here we go hey guys this is steven from c performance we're here at richmond engines to dyno test our 329 creation so we've done past videos on the early part of this build and i just thought i'd give a few specs and a little bit more information on what this was all about before we fired up so this is a gm 400 block it's actually an aftermarket bowtie blocking gm we've boarded out to 4.185 simply because it had been rebuilt before and it was already 30 over and we've got in there a crankshaft from a 283 so with the use of a fabricated spacer bearing for the mains we fit in the three inch stroke crankshaft into that block and we have a set of 6.1 inch long connecting rods connected to the pistons which are a flat top two valve relief and with the cylinder heads that we have on it it's making ten point seven eight to one compression and we achieved that with uh afr cylinder head that have been angle milled down to 55 cc's in the chambers and it's got a 180 cc intake runner so on top of it there is a edelbrock air gap intake manifold and we're going to dyno test it with a holley brawler carburetor and we're going to run it both on 94 octane and 87 okay and see if we can get any real difference between the two power outputs with the two different fuels and possibly even run it in the car in 87 octane [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] i think we're going to seek 7 000 yeah can we see what the graph looks like 475 there all right just hanging in there i'll tell you take too many pictures i don't know whatever happened so we've drained the cell and the carburetor and we're running now 94 octane we're gonna see what it does maybe we can get that magic 500 horsepower number that's kind of what we're aiming for [Music] so definitely the screws loose was the issue with that little dude could you put the graph as well 91. it's just running out of it's it's it's hot enough yeah do you think valve spring or not really yeah yeah yeah just you know what stephen is i'm gonna try a different carburetor hope to pick up a couple horsepower it's happening the way it is but so [Music] those are 4.95 [Applause] [Music] we changed that spacer and it's a little bit on the rich side now we have that little bit of valve spraying there mr stephens [Music] and by the way thanks for checking out the channel friends are you ready are you a little bit nervous yep [Music] you
