hello and welcome I want to demonstrate to you how you can save or write a session output in putty onto a file normally you can highlight some text in the putty terminal and it will be automatically copied onto the clipboard then you paste it into a notepad and save however another way is to set putty to write your session output onto a file instead to do so go to the menu then click on change settings the session logging has many options you can choose all session output but we will choose printable output click on browse and specify the file name and location after applying the settings return to the terminal and start working let's check the output from the file there you are as you continue working in the terminal more output is written to the file there are other options you can specify for example you can overwrite the file or append to it to stop logging the session to a file choose none well done we have successfully written a session output in putty to a file thanks for watching our tutorial if you have any questions or need further assistance please feel free to leave a comment below don't forget to subscribe to our channel for more helpful tutorials see you next time
