assembled from around the world come to make reparation for the blasphemies against the immaculate heart of mary as mary instructed at fatima and as jesus confirmed he desires the world to take part in the first saturday's devotion today we will complete and fulfill all these requests we will go to confession or if we have not been able we will do today an act of contrition we will receive holy communion if we have been unable due to sickness or being homebound we will do an act of spiritual communion then we will recite the rosary and meditate on the mysteries for 15 minutes thus fulfilling our lady's promise or request her promise is tell them that i promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who in order to make reparation to me do those things on the first saturday of five consecutive months you know our lady's heart is sorrowful and wounded by the blasphemies that are committed these include blasphemies against her immaculate conception blasphemies against her perpetual virginity blasphemies against her divine maternity and those blasphemies instilled that instill hatred against her in children and blasphemies that are instilled by those who have hatred and those who revile her sacred images lord jesus we have listened to your request we've come here today in order to make reparation for these wounds to the immaculate heart this is why you established the first saturdays god bless all of you and if you are unsure just follow along if you stay with us for the next few minutes you will fulfill these requests that our loyalty has asked and then continue to do this for five consecutive first saturdays of the month let us begin as brother mark places on the screen and you can follow with us in the act of contrition if you've been unable to go to confession in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen amen oh my god i am heartily sorry for having offended thee and i detest all my sins because of thy just punishment but most of all because they offend thee my god who art all good and deserving of all my love i firmly resolve with the help of thy grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin amen if you have been unable to go to confession simply go when you are next able our lady then asked us to receive holy communion we too ask if possible that you receive as soon as you are able and if you are unable join us now on your screen as we make an act of spiritual communion and thanksgiving my dearest jesus i believe that you are present in to manifest the sorrow we feel for the grievances that people cause you and to atone by our prayers and sacrifices for the offenses with which they return your love obtain for them and for us the pardon of so many sins hasten the conversion of sinners that they may love jesus christ and cease to offend the lord already so much offended turn your eyes of mercy toward us that we may love god with all our heart on earth and enjoy him forever in heaven amen we now fulfill the heart of our lady's request by praying the most holy rosary followed by a meditation on her mysteries in the name of life from the moment of conception until natural death we offer this rosary for all the members of the association of marrying helpers living and deceased and for all the intentions of those who've that our lady has asked of us to do for the first saturday devotions is a 15-minute meditation on one or more of the mysteries let us continue raising our minds to the most joyful mysteries so that our lord can shower his grace upon us and that through these first saturday devotions can bring about a conversion of russia lord we need this now more than ever we ask for peace in the ukraine let us take but a moment to place our other petitions as we finish this first saturday devotion let us now meditate place ourselves in the presence of god through the hands of the blessed virgin mary the first joyful mystery the annunciation when mary was asked by god to do a very difficult task one that would bring scandal possibly to her her family to her village one that would cause suspicion of impurity one that would cause a rune possible of her reputation when our lord asks mary to accept this rule to be the mother of his son she knew that the appearance would be troubling yet mary's response of fiat yes lord let it be done unto me according to thy word how many times have we asked god to do his will rather than our own will have we followed in mary's example that in any cause to what people think of us that we may be mocked in family gatherings because we go to church where we baptized our children or that we send them to catechism do we rather do what mary did in answering fiat to god or are we more worried about what people will think of us are we more concerned with popular opinion or the opinion of god have we been obedient to what god asks of us or have we turned away saying god couldn't possibly expect me to do that god asked mary to do a very difficult task yet the graces that she incurred on the world through her obedience undid the disobedience of eve mary being the new eve undid the knots mary and doer of knots undo the knots in our life that we have caused through our disobedience oh what webs we have weaved when we have practiced to deceive oh what troubles we have immersed ourself in trying to get or accomplish our will rather than god's will how many times have we done what we wanted and never once consulted god in prayer for guidance of what he wants let us take this example of mother mary and give god our yes our fiat the second joyful mystery the visitation have we followed mary's example in loving our neighbor do we realize that we love god through loving our neighbor the gospels tell us if we say that we love god but we hate our neighbor we are a liar the gospels tell us of the works of mercy matthew 25 tells us to feed the hungry to clothe the naked to give drink to the thirsty to visit those imprisoned have we only confessed sins of commission when we go to the sacrament of confession or have we prayed and confessed sins of omission when we have not loved our neighbor as we should have we followed the example of the blessed virgin that took the needs of her cousin ahead of her own mary had every reason an excuse not to be present but to only focus on herself as the mother of the god man how many of us would have only reflected inward saying god gave me this incredible task i need to focus only on myself no mary went outside of herself as we need to as well to be present to our neighbors only if it is something as simple as a smile how many times have we known that somebody could use our help but because they did not ask we did not offer how many times that we know that there are poor in our midst that could benefit from our time our treasure or our talents one deed of mercy a day is what we marians have challenged all our marian helpers one act of mercy for another person each day maybe letting them pick the restaurant or them to pick the movie or them to pick whatever it is that is before us in decision-making let us be present to our neighbors our relatives and our friends let us be present in the way mary was present to elizabeth the third joyful mystery the nativity the birth of our lord jesus told his apostles at the last supper as he washed their feet do you have any idea what i have just done for you have we meditated have we prayed have we taken into the chapel a meditation on the birth of our lord and upon contemplating that the god-man the creator of the universe took upon himself flesh and blood incurred suffering the wounds of the flesh for our salvation do we have any idea what god has done for us have we thanked god have we thanked him daily for becoming one of us have we said to him lord my god it is only through the mystery of the incarnation that you have brought me salvation and everlasting life have we honestly prayed and given thanks on a daily basis to god for this most incredible gift without it we are facing damnation without it our broken human nature makes it impossible for salvation yet god sent his only begotten son because he loved the world so much that he redeemed us the s chasm of sin was so great that only god could fix it but the problem was that it was man who created it so it should be a man who would fix the damaged relationship with god but no man is capable only god is capable of mending the wounds but god did not create the sin man did hence the need for the god-man hence the need for our savior incarnate [Applause] jesus christ in the flesh jesus christ mercy incarnate has brought salvation to the world do we have any idea what god has done for us the fourth joyful mystery the presentation in the temple just a couple days ago we celebrated the feast of candlemas the feast of the presentation of our lord and the temple the purification of mary even though mary was not subject to the law she submitted to the law in humility although mary did not need purification she submitted in humility to be that example to be purified have we done this for our children have we been the example for our neighbors our friends and loved ones we say we are not in need of confession i am not in sin we are all in sin and yet mother mary who was not in sin went to be purified we too can be purified through the grace and the cleansing waters of confession and baptism let us be like mary and in humility come to recognize our need to be obedient god established the law of moses for purification and god is established to us through his church the precepts which include going to confession to be purified like mary we can become pure and spotless but without the grace of baptism and confession we are not spotless we bear the wound of original sin be like our blessed mother humble ourselves go be purified and in our meditation have we asked our blessed mother mary have we asked her to present us to our heavenly father as she did jesus in the temple have we meditated and envisioned ourselves being like the little child in her arms being that little baby that she presents to god and consecrates to him all we have to do is humble ourselves to be like little children to be like that child who god tells us jesus says to them the kingdom of god will be open to the little children shall be the kingdom of god be like that little child like that little baby put yourself in mary's arms and ask her to present you like she did the christ child to god the almighty father the fifth joyful mystery the finding the child jesus in the temple have we lost jesus have we lost him in our life and instead put ourselves on the throne have we lost the vision of christ the divine mercy and instead of putting our eyes on the creator have we taken our eyes off of the creator and placed it onto the creature or the created thing have we lost jesus in our life have we stopped praying on a regular basis consecrating our day to our lord have we stopped doing our morning offering offering everything that we incur into the hands of mary to be presented to jesus like the presentation have we lost jesus in our lives when we get angry we be controlled by pride by sloth by anger by envy by lust by greed by gluttony have we taken our eyes off of god have we lost him in our lives and we let the vices of the world take control have we let the material things of our lives become our god it is not too late if we have all we have to do is go to the door and knock our lord said he will answer seek him seek him in the sacrament seek him in the mass seek him in the confessional seek him in holy communion and you will find him seek him in the silence and the solitude of your prayer seek him and find him in the adoration of the most blessed sacrament in the chapel seek him and you will find him our lord does not shout our lord does not take command and force himself upon us our lord waits for us with open arms our lord waits for us to approach him our lord beckons us to come to him if we seek him we shall find him let us seek the lord in all things of our life and all our decisions and all our words all our deeds all our prayers let us seek the lord's will not our will to be done mother mary we place this meditation into your hands and we ask that you present them to god in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen heavenly father we give you all thanks and glory for this time to adore your son our lord jesus christ and the most blessed sacrament mother mary we give you thanks and gratitude that you have accompanied us in this first saturday as we have fulfilled all of your requests given let us continue every first saturday for at least five first saturdays if not more that we make reparation to your immaculate heart for the blasphemies of mankind and for those times we have wounded your heart mother mary we have been to confession or if not we have done an act of contrition mother mary we have been to holy communion sacramentally if not we made a spiritual act of communion mother mary we prayed the rosary together as you've asked and we have meditated 15 minutes on the mysteries we ask and implore you and on behalf of all the marians and our marian helpers around the world we come together as one and we lay these petitions at your feet we lay this hour of reparation at your feet and we ask that you humbly accept our prayers in reparation to the immaculate heart of mary for peace in the ukraine for the conversion of russia for a conversion of all our hearts our loved ones conversion is daily lord conversion is not a one-time event we must pray daily for the conversion of ourselves and the world we start here now today and we give thanks that you have brought us here to fulfill this request that you honored in your mother we ask all this through christ our lord amen as we now begin benediction as we repose our lord as we bless you with the most blessed sacrament we ask you to place yourself in the hands of mary to be presented to
