so today I'm very excited to be bringing you an updated review on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite this is the 2022 model that a lot of you have seen a lot of you are very excited about it but is it worth buying in 2023 especially with a lot of sales you see on this device that's great but there is a lot of competition coming out around it so we're going to talk about that and how this device is held up and if it's still worth buying today so with all that being said let's get right into it and let's talk about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 [Music] so this tablet it's a very interesting tablet right here because well it's a smaller device it's a tablet that we don't often see in the Android space or even iPads we don't have a lot of smaller tablet options this is about 10 0.4 inches and most tablets out there are going to be a lot larger at least 11 inches or bigger so to see a smaller tablet like this but also a tablet that comes with an S Pen and to see it at such a good price well that is something that's worth considering especially whenever you look at this device on sale a lot of people have seen this device at 350 and honestly there wasn't a lot of fanfare when this device came out the 2022 model because it looks just like the 2020 model or whatever year it was I don't even remember when the first model came out but the point is there's not a lot of differences between this and the older Galaxy Tab S6 light but things have changed over time now we have a lot of sales going on we have this device right here that has really been about 250 dollars sometimes and even 200 I think that's the lowest I've really seen it but the point is there's a lot of excitement going on with the pricing and there's a lot of other cool things with it so if you look at it and look at the design again nothing much has really changed from the Galaxy Tab S6 light that they had out previously it looks pretty much the same but it's just a nice aluminum build again it's really held up over time well for me but one thing that a lot of people are going to like is this headphone jack I love that you have one speaker on each side and of course this pin right here it doesn't actually charge on the back it doesn't need to charge it's not a bluetooth pin but it can't just pop on the top of the tablet magnetically and it looks pretty nice overall now the one thing I honestly don't love about this device is the screen and that has been something that's bothered me a little bit over time granted I have came from higher end Galaxy tablets like the tab S8 or the tab S8 plus so your mileage may vary if you're someone who's used to a Galaxy Tab A7 for example or one of those cheaper Galaxy tablets you may actually really like this screen but it is a 2000 by 1200 resolution it doesn't sound all that bad but the colors are just not that great it doesn't really pop like an OLED display or an AMOLED display of course so it is a TFT LCD screen it's a 60 hertz refresh rate so there's nothing really to ride home about it does feel a little bit laggier if you are comparing it to something like I don't know the Galaxy Tab S8 but of course it would feel a little bit slower as far as the refresh rate because it's like half the price that's why price is a really big consideration when you're looking at this tablet it does look nice for the money though again if you do compare it to something like the Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 that is actually an OLED screen and that device has gone on sale in the 200-ish dollar range so to see that tablet with OLED 120 hertz that is a shockingly good value that is not something you're going to get from this Samsung tablet however this Samsung tablet even though the screen isn't the best it is still good it's still serviceable at least you get a nice h HD screen I just wish that the colors were a little more accurate and that it looked a little nicer as far as that color accuracy but it still looks good for watching content it's going to be a very good secondary device for you if your expectations aren't too high but if you are someone that's used a lot of higher end phones that may really ruin your expectation level because you may be expecting a high refresh rate screen or all these bells and whistles you're just not going to get that on a lower end Android tablet but again for 350 bucks maybe it's not that good maybe it's not 400 as good as far as the screen and if you compare this to older Galaxy tablets like the Galaxy Tab s5e I remember that device had an OLED display for four hundred dollars it did not come with an S Pen though and that's where this device really differentiates itself from that Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 and from the Galaxy Tab s5e and a lot of older devices you do have an S Pen and that is very significant because it does come with those extra features it does come with that level of palm rejection that you get used to you do have that magnetized to the top of the device and you don't have to spend 30 40 50 60 on that so when you consider the S Pen as a good part of the value you are going to see that this tablet it does pretty well also Samsung does a lot better than Lenovo with software support So this device has gotten a lot of new software updates I haven't had a lot of bugs or anything like that as far as the software goes so I am very impressed with the level of software support that we are seeing from Samsung and I am expecting that Samsung will keep that up with this device and that's not the same thing I could say for Lenovo or even TCL or a lot of other budget tablet manufacturers so the display is good for the price but maybe not as good as some other competition but the performance of this device is actually pretty good for the money this does come with a Snapdragon 720g I have heard some people report that they've gotten a different process processor I think some people said at 7 30 or a 7 32 it appears that they're really just putting out what they have at the time but they are putting out a decent mid-level processor in this tablet a processor that you weren't getting in the previous model of this tablet so the performance is decent it is actually decent for the money again I just have to temper your expectations if you're used to a high refresh rate screen again you are not going to get that here but it does do a decent job with your basic tasks now if you are gaming you're going to have to again temper those expectations it's going to be on the lower end of the gaming side you will be able to play most games but on low settings but outside of that I will say basic browsing going to YouTube If you're willing to wait an extra second or so for an app to open you're not going to have a ton of hiccups but it will just feel a little bit slower compared to other high-end Android phones but at the price point on the Android side I know iPads are very very fast for the money but if you look on the Android side this actually does very very well especially around 250 dollars to get an S Pen to get this and also when you look at the design you get that headphone jack you get an SD card slot as well in this so there's a lot to like about this tablet especially if you just need a basic companion this is good to get some basic work done it also has Samsung decks on the software side which you don't get from a lot of other Android tablets either now the battery life is okay and that's again what you're going to see with this tablet a lot of things are good they're serviceable it's a seven thousand and forty milliamp battery so it's not anything crazy to ride home about but because this device doesn't have a huge power draw I would expect very good battery life and I've gotten very good battery life from this tablet compared to some other tablets like the tab S8 for example because you don't have that high refresh rate screen draining battery again that is going to help your battery life but it's not the best in the world with a tablet it's not the worst it's just okay as far as battery life so what do I think about this tablet well I am happy that they brought Samsung decks to it even the older Galaxy Tab S6 light does have Samsung decks you cannot connect this to a monitor though that's one thing a lot of people were wondering if it has monitor support so that is not something that this tablet has now there may be some back-end way to get it on there I'm not saying there's not but it doesn't normally or typically support it so if you look at everything it's a really good tablet for 250 bucks I've really really enjoyed this I think it's definitely still a tablet worth recommending I love the stylus support I think that's one of the major selling points I think if you look at everyone who would look at this tablet this is a great tablet for those of you wanting a lower end tablet but maybe you want a little bit of a jump up so the Galaxy Tab A8 for example it retails at like 230 dollars and it's a really good tablet for that price don't get me wrong it's a decent Android tablet but it's a little bit slow and you might want a little bit of a jump up in performance it also doesn't come with an S Pen so when you factor in that you could find this tablet here on sale even if you found the A8 on sale you found it for 180 bucks for example you find this for 250 on sale for less than 80 extra bucks you could get an S Pen you could get four gigabytes of RAM in the base model you also get a better processor and overall it's just gonna be a better experience you'll get Samsung Dex as well for a little bit of productivity so this is a great tablet for those of you who are on the lower end Android tablet Spectrum you're looking for something on the lower end and you want to just jump up to something a little bit better this is going to be it now if you're someone who's used to some higher end tablets like the tab S6 the tab S7 the tab S7 Fe all of those tablets even are going to be better than this device and you might want to look at something like the Galaxy Tab S7 Fe find it on sale find some good deals on eBay on the Galaxy Tab S8 I'm sure you could find that tablet around 400 bucks or so on the used Market but when you look at this again for 250 bucks if you look on the used Market maybe you'll find it around 150 just make sure to look for the 2022 model that's very very important but if you find that model you're going to get decent performance a decent screen overall it's going to be a good good option for you you just have to make sure that you have your expectations in check and if you do you're going to get good software support I'm not saying that you're going to get it forever now this device again it came out in 2022 it is a refreshed model from the last one so I'm assuming it'll have its own software support but there are a few negatives I have to quickly mention you do have your camera here it's in portrait mode some people like that but your average person when you're doing a lot of productive work you like the user your tablet in landscape mode so you may prefer video calls and stuff to have the camera here in the middle well it's not there you are going to have to hold it up in portrait mode so that's one minor thing I don't like and the other thing I don't like is that there's no fingerprint sensor I know that's pretty typical at this price point but I really want a fingerprint sensor because face unlock it works sometimes but it doesn't work all of the time so those are just some basic things that I've really noticed some basic things that bothered me but tell me what you think about this tablet is this worth buying I think it's a really good entry level tablet even if you put it against the entry level iPad at least you get the S Pen in the box that is extremely significant considering how much an apple pencil will cost or even a Samsung stylus right to get that support built in that is massive and this is a great tablet for those of you looking for an entry level or even something a little close to mid-range if you are wanting an S Pen and that's really my opinion a good tablet but not great if you're wanting a really good tablet I would recommend the tab S8 on sale or the tab S7 Fe but if you are someone out there looking for a tablet in that lower range and you're willing to jump up just a little bit I think this is a really good option for you so thank you so much for watching this video if you did like it please give me a like of course and give me a sub that would mean
