Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Official Samsung Cases!

hello everyone my name is Shane and in this video we're going to be checking out the official Samsung cases for the Galaxy s24 Ultra these cases are available at the time of this video I'll have some links in the description if you want to check them out for yourself the Prices range from $35 to $6 there are eight cases in total and they are also available for the s24 plus and the base s24 starting simple with the silicone case this one comes in at $35 and it's available in five colors lime yellow white Violet and this dark violet color here inside the box we have some paper and packaging and the case itself let's go ahead and try this on really nice feeling case initially here we have some Samsung branding on the bottom have nice clicky buttons still looks like we have enough protection for our cameras to be able to lay this down on the table without any worries we also have lips on the top and bottom of the case so we can lay this on this front as well without any problems checking our cutouts we have a couple cutouts at the top for the two mics and on the bottom here we have a large cutout for our type-c port and the other mic now it is worth mentioning that even though we have a very large cutout here for the type-c port if you use an oversized type-c charger like this one here I'll show you it does flex up a little bit on that case so it is bending it a little bit there however with that said using Samsung's official 5 amp cable to get the 45 W charging out of this phone this one does fit perfectly fine it's not going to protrude onto the or anything have a cutout for our speaker let's check our Spen slot looks like we can get into the S Pen perfectly fine we'll quickly check our wireless charging here wireless charging no problem and looking at this case from the front looks like you can still see a little bit of your titanium sidings but overall gives this phone an excellent grip it doesn't make it all too much bulkier and it does seem to provide a decent amount of protection so really liking the silicone case initially here and it's also worth mentioning that the inside of this case now has a plastic finish compared to the softer microfiber finishes we usually see on these cases next up we have the shield case this one comes in at $35 and it's available in two different colors Dark Violet and this light gray color here so the shield case is a somewhat harder plastic but still is pretty flexible so easy to take the case on and off we have a bit of a translucent finish on the top and the sidings and then just our solid light gray on the corners and the back now the overall design of this case is definitely very boxy it looks more apparent to me on the front here than the silicone case did as far as our protection the cameras on the back looks like we have enough protection there and then as far as our lips it looks like we also have just enough spacing here to be able to drop this on the table no problem at all cutouts look good we have two cutouts for our mics on the top have our Spen slot get to the S Pen no problem at all speaker cut out now if we try this oversized type-c charger again yeah it does flex up on the case and this one makes an audible plastic click that's not good so oversized type-c Chargers might not work with this but again Samsung's cable for that 45 wat charge it is going to fit in there perfectly fine The Ridges do give a nice amount of grip whether you're holding this phone in portrait or landscape orientations maybe if you're filming or something this would give you a really nice gripping Point while this case seems to offer a good amount of protection and some good functionality with the grips on the back I honestly cannot recommend it because the buttons on the side don't seem to line up with the phone I tried to take this case on and off multiple times and the volume rockers especially don't seem to line up so when you press them you don't really get that click or response so honestly surprisingly I cannot recommend the shield case next up is the artist case this one comes in at $45 and it's currently available in three designs we have this one with a dog we have a heart and the Love Theme we have here inside the Box there's a QR code to scan to be able to match your watch face with this same case design wow this case has a lot of character to it if you want a flashier design this is definitely what you want to go for compared to the other options we have a plastic backing here has a very nice grip to it and it also has very grippy sides it also looks to have a lanyard cutout on the top left here as far as our other cutouts mics look good on the top a little bit more compact of a cutout for the Spen but we can still access it perfectly fine have our cutout for our speaker checking our type-c port with that larger type-c cable I think every case moving forward is going to have a little bit of that Flex going on so can't recommend all type-c Chargers with this trying out Samsung's 45 W charging cable again that one fits perfectly fine check our Wireless charge Wireless charge works fine and I'm also very glad that on this case the buttons do work well they're not as clicky as on the other cases but at least they do function and work here perfectly fine as far as our protection have enough on the back here for the cameras on the front here top and bottom have plenty of lip on this case to to be able to keep it protected design-wise from the front this is very similar looking to the silicone case although might be a little bit thicker but overall this case has a really nice feel to it you can get some really cool looking designs on the back I'm sure Samsung will come out with more of these moving forward I can definitely recommend the artist case even though it does cost a little more next up we have the clear Gadget case this one is coming in at $50 and looks to come with a couple accessories in the box we have some paperwork have our case itself Gadget already installed on the back and there's also this large strap with the gadget on top so on the back here we have our mounting point for our various gadgets we have just enough camera protection here although this bump is also probably going to keep the cameras completely off the table as far as our lips here looks like we have lips on the bottom corners and the top here to be able to put this on the table no problem it's also worth mentioning this is our first case with the open bottom design here as far as our S Pen cutout looks like we have enough room to get to our S Pen there so now with this design our oversized type-c charger is going to fit and work with no problems now as far as our wireless charging with this one because of this Puck on the back let's go ahead and check okay so it looks like the wireless charging does work with this case still on so I see I have my light here on the Wireless charge and I waited for this to charge from 60 to now 61% so the wireless charging does work with this case as long as you take off the gadgets press down in the middle and that's going to allow you to twist it and as long as you're connected with the dot here it'll come right off and same as going right on and it'll lock right into place and when it is locked in you're not going to have to worry about the case disconnecting from the gadget so a lot of Peace of Mind here if you would need that now as far as the ring itself it seems to be made of metal also very solid so this can serve as a really nice stand to be able to put this in any sort of orientation you would want to and if you aren't able to stand the phone up in this orientation you can go ahead and twist this and now you're able to hold the phone up and any sort of orientation you would want to so with this being very sturdy and adjustable a lot of stand capabilities here and then you could also just run your finger through this for some added peace of mind when gripping this bigger and bulkier phone now this year we also have this strap so again very easy to take these gadgets on and off just line up your dots click this one in place and then you can twist and lock it by putting it in the upward position and again have a very solid connection here you're not going to have to worry about your phone going anywhere with this strap on provides some great peace of mind this gadget is definitely more flush against the case compared to the gadget with the ring we might as well check our Wireless charge okay yeah it just disconnected so even though it shows the Wireless charge icon there you cannot Wireless charge with this gadget on but as far as the strap itself we have plenty of room here to go ahead and wrap this around your wrist if you're out traveling for the day or just taking a lot of pictures and videos I think this strap would really come in handy there is definitely enough room here to hold this phone in various different ways and then to take this one off just simply twist it over to the dot and you can go ahead and remove it but overall really nice case here nice feel in the hand good grip nice clicky buttons really nice accessories to go with it really liking the clear Gadget case next up we have the svw wallet case this one also comes in at $50 and it comes in four different colors we have black white violet and this light green color here this case we do have the softer microfiber finish on the inside on the back we have our same Samsung branding as on the previous silicone case on the sides here we have some shiny buttons the volume rockers feel very good although I must say the power button does not have the same satisfying click as the volume rockers do it's just a little bit stiff on this one looks like we have enough protection on the back for our cameras so no problem there and of course we have our SVU display on this one so when you close this up you're going to get your time date and battery life now if you get a phone call with this case on you're going to get a little popup here and you're going to be able to answer calls from this svw display let's see if we can receive text with this svw display so you get a little messages pop up if you receive a text you can swipe over to see all of your notifications which is pretty cool but you cannot read the text messages from this outer display it'll tell you that you need to open the cover to continue so it will take you straight to your message which is pretty nice depending on the notification you will be able to read some items from the outer display here we also have media controls on this svw display so you can see what is playing and where it's playing from and you can play and pause and Skip in Reverse tracks now taking a look at the card slot on the inside it looks like you can only comfortably hold one card as I have two in here and it just makes the case floppier if you have multiple cards in there when you have just one card in the slot it seems to be a lot more secure but overall it is worth mentioning that this case is pretty floppy so there's no Magnet or anything to keep this closed as far as the rest of our protection we still have plenty of lip here if you would be laying this down for whatever reason there you're going to have the most screen protection for sure with this case let's go ahead and check our Wireless charge so there's going to be no animation here but you can see we still have the charging icon good to go here with the wireless charge checking our oversized type-c charger again it is going to flex up on there this 5 amp charger from Samsung is definitely what you're going to want to use cuz again this fits perfectly fine here for the 45 wat charge I'll leave a link for this cable down in the description and for the rest of our cutouts have our two cutouts on the top have our S Pen here plenty of access to this perfectly fine speaker Grill looks good and have our access for our other mic but overall really nice feel here and functionality with the SV case next we have the vegan leather case this one also comes in at $50 and comes in three different colors we have black taupe and this dark violet color here on the inside we still have our soft microfiber finish really liking the feel of this vegan leather case initially here have no Samsung branding on the bottom we have really good butt buttons on this one this is the best buttons yet of any of the cases I've tried camera protection on the back here seems to be perfectly fine checking our lips on the top and the bottom have enough protection here as well to put this face down on the table this one does seem slightly different than that original silicone case with the fact that the sidings seem to be a little more Exposed on this case for whatever reason taking a look at our cutouts good on the top here on the bottom have a large slot for our S Pen perfectly fine checking our big type-c charger it does fit but again it's pushing up on the case there so I don't think that's going to be good for the long term using the 5 amp cable fits perfectly fine in there let's go ahead and check our Wireless charge no problems with the wireless charge either but overall initially I'm really liking this vegan leather case a lot it definitely doesn't provide as much protection as the other cases do but it has a very good feel in the hand next up we have the flips suit case this one also comes in at $50 and there's two designs available right now now there's a smiley face option and then there's this one with the heart you'll also notice this is not for the ultra I accidentally ordered the wrong case for this video so we'll go ahead throw this on the s24 since again these are available for all the s24su case you have your flip suit design on the back if you want to in the future get other designs to add to this you probably can we'll go ahead and put this in the back put our phone in you're going to get a notification for downloading flip suitcase flip suitcase content applied and once that applies and downloads then on your lock screen you're going to have a little video that plays now since this is a two-part case looks like we get our camera protection on the back from the edge here so looks like we have plenty of protection there then as far as our lips on the front looks like we also have enough lip on the front to put this on the table this case has the same translucent finish as we saw on the shield case overall it has a really nice feel in the hand have a nice grip on this back plate here it also looks like like that this animation is only taking place on the alwayson display you'll still have your same wallpaper and things on the inside of the phone of course we have all of our necessary cutouts here have our speaker over here on the bass s24 now on this one I'm unable to plug in the oversized type-c charger at all but the 5 amp charging cable does still fit perfectly flush in here let's check our Wireless charge Wireless charge works perfectly fine overall this case has a great feel in the hand has a nice clean looking design to it and I'd say it's a good Middle Ground option between going with one of the plane cases and something crazy like the artist case and last but not least we have the new standing grip case this one comes in at $60 and it's available in three colors dark violet light blue and this taupe color here so this is similar to Samsung's previous strap cases however it's worth mentioning that the strap is now part of the case permanently and it's a lot more flat and streamlined again we have a plastic finish here on the inside and then we have a silicone casing on the outside on the bottom left we have our Samsung branding this feels very similar to the previous silicone case we have silicone buttons on the sidings these click really well have plenty of camera protection here for putting this down on the table no problem as far as our lips on the top and bottom also perfectly fine for dropping this on the table cutouts look good on the top check in the bottom have our Spen slot perfectly fine plenty of room for our speaker and another mic one last time check our oversized type-c cable yep definitely going to flex on the as well but again the 5 amp charging cable from Samsung it's going to fit perfectly fine in here let's go ahead and check our Wireless charge with the strap on the back wireless charging works perfectly fine very similar design- Wise from the front as far as the original silicone case we have just a little bit of the titanium siding showing and then of course we have the strap on the back so it's really easy to just go ahead and press this down you have this strap always in place you're able to get your fingers nice and snug into the strap so this provides a lot of Peace of Mind this gives you a really tight grip of the phone and then as soon as you're done with it it just retracts right back into the case but the Highlight feature with the strap on this year's version is that it now locks you can permanently lock it in and now you have a nice stand to go alongside what is also a nice grip for your hand because it is that silicone material it's going to have a little extra grip on the table you can interact with the screen perfectly fine it will wobble a little bit but it definitely holds itself up if you want to be doing something with the S Pen with this stood up you can see you can use this perfectly fine and once you're done just push back up and it'll fall right back into place really liking a lot of these official case options for the s24 ultra if I had to choose one or two cases out of this bunch I would personally go with the vegan leather case and the standing grip case the leather case is not absurdly overpriced and has a really good feel to it really nice buttons nice leather feel and the standing grip case gives you what's offered on the standard silicone case in addition to having the stand functionality and the really nice grip with the strap but I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on the official Samsung
