It's an intense and incredible story, but I especially love the details he adds about his fellow soldiers, like their ages and hometowns. The man is a hero and an awesome story teller.

Edit more about the travel: Recipients receive special entitlements to air transportation under the provisions of DOD Regulation 4515.13-R. This benefit allows the recipient to travel as he or she deems fit across geographical locations, and allows the recipient's dependents to travel either Overseas-Overseas, Overseas-Continental US, or Continental US-Overseas when accompanied by the recipient.

This man visited my school a few months ago along with another medal recipient. I sat in on a QnA he held, and it was a pretty excellent experience. I think my favorite part was when some kid (17~ years of age) asked him "What was you thinkin' when you was gettin' exploded?"
