The star power on both teams is insane to me
The set of balls on Mario to let the puck go right through his feet in the fucking gold medal game of the Olympics still boggles my mind.
My favorite hockey game of all time. So many warm memories.
oh yeah Mario won't shoot from the middle of the slot, they wouldn't possibly pass it to Mario Lemieux in the middle of the slot, you don't have to respect that as a goalie at all
Fuck that was a brilliant set play. Mike Richter was brilliant internationally and had stolen games before (the 1996 World Cup of Hockey for example) and it was pretty respectful of Richter to draw up a set play designed specifically to pause his feet for a second in the slot.
5-2
never forget
Already taken down :(
i watched this at 2x speed. now i hate watching hockey
Watched the first 10 minutes or so, first thing that stands out is the commentator is really excellent at actually describing the action on the ice. Can't quite put it exactly but I like his style.
Not anymore itβs not.
