Saigon, Nha Trang and Dalat, Vietnam

hi everybody hello hope you're all doing okay back there and I'm I've seen you having some lovely sunny weather at last so really really pleased to to see and hear that and see the nice photos particularly of the lovely runs from Jersey joggers so we haven't done a video for a while cuz we've been in Vietnam for over two months now so we're coming to the end of our stay here tomorrow so we're we'll just we've just done a summary of kind of what we've covered and what we've done in Vietnam and how we find find it so you can see the video afterwards that Robin's put together um but we do absolutely love Vietnam don't we yeah we do um Vietnam we could come here for what up to three months couldn't it on the Visa three months so a lot of the places here in Southeast Asia are only like one month um whereas Vietnam was 3 months so uh we thought it'd be good to come here for the three months or two and a half something like that we did wasn't it and uh yeah safe flying around all different places all the time so um we flew into hoi Min or Saigon as the locals still call it mhm and uh we spent a week in Saigon didn't we yeah um which is absolutely manic um when we came out the airport and we're in the taxi to the hotel the traffic was absolutely crazy wasn't it I'm trying to get across the road was of a sport I think thank you fee for your advice that really worked we got it we off now hav we um yeah but uh so we stayed in city but we we went to see the the tunnels you know from the Vietnam War um where yeah they were fighting in in the jungle and all that type of stuff so we went we went down into the tunnels didn't we mhm um and we went to the meom Delta as well and and saw some things down there went on the boat and that and um yeah had to look around didn't we make on Delta it was really really beautiful on the river wasn't it yeah yeah so uh so so that was good but then we jumped on the train and it was 8 hours to the coast where we've come to the uh our favorite place here in natrang so we went on the sleeper train yeah yeah we got sleeper train yeah but it's just the day for the daytime trip yeah for the daytime Tri space in the so I took advantage of the fact that it was a sleeper train ah yeah did yeah I had some naps yeah and uh so we absolutely love this place it's there's a lovely it's a big holiday sort of area um but a lot of Russian people in Kazakhstan and Korea the flights come in direct from Kazakhstan and from Korea and that so um yeah you've met some people from Kazakhstan brief not many Europeans here not many Australians really um but it's right next to the beach lovely Beach and uh loads of restaurants and bars and stuff so we went to dalat didn't we as well so we we yeah we took a trip to dalat for was it a week yeah which is up in the mountains so it's much cooler up there and in the video you'll see uh yeah we went to the waterfall there and the temple and then there's lovely Gardens mhm um and uh that Mosaic Temple that was amazing um yeah so we did a few day trips in that there a few days out and everything we saw was absolutely amazing wasn't it just like far surpress past our expectations didn't it yeah and we actually got cold one day cuz it was below 25° yeah yeah so um yeah it's good to get away from the heat up there isn't it yeah and then we had the pet Sid then we came no we came back here to nut Trang yeah for another week and then and then we went down to um a place further down the coast called mu and uh we had a pet sit there for 10 days didn't we yeah with a lovely pink Sphinx called sin yeah so but um he was gorgeous yeah that was yeah that's was good to see somewhere different wasn't it we didn't um it was very local where we were yeah the people we were looking after their house uh feeding their goldfish and all that type of stuff and uh and uh looking after the cat and they let us use the scooter for the 10 days so we had a scooter didn't we yeah um so that was down the coast there and then we came back to Nang now for the third time yeah so we just absolutely love it here it's like our home from home we love it here yeah so we're in Vietnam um we stay here in the train yeah um so and we leave tomorrow don't we yeah we leave tomorrow Bangkok yeah here we we visited the the old temple with like the what's a thousand years old they see in the video temp the the Old Stone towers and that um one the snorkeling party boat we went on the party boat yeah twice um I had my birthday on didn't we as well yeah it was that was fantastic cuz you get on the boat for the day then you get to snorkel and then they start this party like with live music and everything yeah they give you all the cocktails get karaoke and there's a big slide from the top of the boat down into the water so we were going down the slide and all the time it was fabulous karaoke uh music all the time live band on the boat um we thought we were going to be like the the oldest people there by about 30 years we thought they going to be all uni students whatever but we weren't it was great really enjoyed it yeah so we went back for more yeah mhm yeah the beach is just so close here as well but we use a pool every day Hotel every day so that's been lovely too few cocktails up there and we've received some lovely gifts one from the manager in um w we stayed in a hotel there overnight for a couple of days after the pet sit and here we've just had some complimentary tickets to have whatever we want from the spa later on today so SP it's amazing yeah they're just so generous and so lovely the Vietnamese people so um we're running out of time so we have to shoot to the video now it's a bit longer than normal um I hope you enjoy it and we'll update you when we get
