or "At Last" by Etta James. Those were the two like first songs that my mom ever played me. And there's something really special about the way those songs made me feel, like I was so young, I
had never been in love. Spoiler. And so the fact that those songs like really resonated with me was always really interesting to me. And I think it was like the musicality and then just the tone of their voices. So those are very special to me. feel like I had purpose. And so I think eventually
I just got really lucky that it was something
that other people had also taken a liking to and
started listening to. And then I got to do it even
more, which is really special. So I definitely make music for myself, but at the end of the day,
it's really special to know that there's people that listen and take something from it
and use it in their lives. I think it's really, it's

happiest state of my life. No one ever says that
when they made an album. Like no, I started writing
"Emails I Can't Send" almost three years ago. So it was definitely at a pivotal, like, changing moment in my life. There was a lot of growth
that had to be done. And I was really lucky that I
got to write through it all. And I mean, it was
something that I kind of... That kind of transpired from these emails that I was writing to myself as a process of venting and coping. And then I realized it was sort of just the most honest I'd ever been with myself, was the stuff that I was
writing in these emails that I was not planning on anyone reading, or you know, hearing eventually. And so they kind of turned
into these really special songs about different moments in my life that kind of made me the
