uh based on the noble prince of peace the noble prince of peace and with me is a panel of you know well-informed members that are going to share with us you know their insights on this subject before we move far i just want to take this opportunity to invite each one of them to say hello to the brethren and of course let us know who they are i begin with my left-hand side good morning and happy sabbath to you viewers my name is jeff omondi and i'm glad to be here let us continue serving in the sanctuary happy sabbath i am beg yo mundi we shall study this word of god together thank you for we humble ourselves before you this morning to lift up your holy name because you alone are god you alone are creator you alone are redeemer and a sustainer father in heaven we come before you acknowledging that we are sinners and that we have sinned against thee yet because of your love that you have extended unto us lord you have invited us into your presence this morning and for this reason lord we want to say thank you we want to say thank you because you have invited us that we may feed from your table lord as we begin we present each and every one of us those of us who are sharing the world and those of us who will be listening oh lord may you grant us the power of your holy spirit that he may be our teacher and our guide through it all for this we ask in jesus name amen amen thank you thank you very much now as i indicated we are focusing on the prophecy that is in the book of isaiah and in today's study we are looking at four uh chapters chapters 9 10 11 and 12 in the book of isaiah as we traverse through these four chapters we will see you know three key points or what i will call three subjects you know coming out of our study today you know the movement from darkness to light and we are going to delve deep into that to understand what is this light that we are going to talk about we look at the messiah you know as the light of the world and then there are there are scriptures that we make reference to to see who is this messiah how is he described and we'll also look at the character of this messiah as we traverse through all these four chapters in today's study now i want to bring on board my my panelists and also try to understand from their their their view beginning with their elder isaac what are what are your perspectives on the study today thank you so much elda everyone in this life is looking for peace and there's someone here that the lesson introduces who did a study on peace and he's saying that in his study he realized that only eight percent of the people all of the time has had peace since the beginning of the history of this act and so that tells us that very few people have experienced this piece but today in the book of isaiah chapter 9 introduces us to someone who can give us the true eternal peace and this one is jesus christ so i'm very happy to listen to today's study as we learn about this person jesus christ thank you thank you very much for that perspective our focused on someone that gives us peace you know the true peace that we are seeking i don't know what crossed your mind brother jeff when you are looking at the lesson what themes you know did you see coming out of that lesson thank you very much now when you see noble prince of peace the word peace most of the time it's used when previously there was there were moments that there was no peace and we are being introduced to this man who is also called a noble prince that is going to now lead us to a more peaceful situation before that uh taking it from the background of our last week's lesson we had the hard way and we saw people who were who are accustomed to accustomed to doing bad things so then after a custom being accustomed doing bad things they blamed god for it and this blaming of god let them into utter darkness so then now this noble prince of peace is coming in to get us out of this utter darkness that was there thank you very much for for your perspective on that i don't know elder you you must have also picked something that you know was very striking as you are going through the lesson what do you what do you want to tell us this morning yeah thank you mine is uh looking at uh chapter 8 ending in despair chapter 9 begins with the word nevertheless which means it's almost at 360. uh sorry 180 ton from what had happened previously and we see in chapter nine array of hope we see in chapter nine array of hope for the people who are despairing moving forward into chapter 10 we see that god's people can at times move away and desire their own goods do their own things and for that reason god being a loving god he still reaches out to them to bring them home we see him correcting his people and bringing them back home giving them restoration and at the end of it in chapter 12 we see a jubilation of what they have gone through thank you thank you very much eldar for that perspective you know the love of god expressed in our people that are lost by because of his love that is everlasting and his constant god still desires to bring his people back you know and at the end of it all we see jubilation and that's what you've clearly stated there and we'll see as we move along towards the end of the study in chapter 12. uh sister becky i'm sure there is something else maybe on top of what our fellow panels have highlighted or something new that probably may not have been picked let's hear your views on this thank you very much my thoughts are really old at the tale of children in isaiah's book so far and as we're looking at our key texts saying that unto us a child is born the question that someone having dealt with isaiah chapter 8 chapter 7 chapter 6 would be asking themselves are we talking about another different child or it's the previous ones we've heard of is it shia deshou visit maher shalal hashbas is it emmanuel what manner of child are we talking about and so when i was reading this study and i came across chapter 9 verse 6 specifically outlining qualities of this child that we're speaking about and then it interests us to realize that god goes to whatever levels or whatever extents to ensure that we are affirmed in him and that he assures us that our salvation is entirely his business and he only wants us to take part in it in the manner of salva in the manner of belief in the manner of faith in the manner of acceptance but he is responsible many years before jesus christ is born he already comes through for us to tell us that in all these skills in this absence of peace in all these tumultuous moments and to us a child is born that's very fascinating to me thank you thank you for you know that that's a very powerful perspective and to us a child is born and you said salvation is his business you know and and we are going to delve deeper into that to understand who is this child and how is our salvation then made free and available to all of us uh as as my brother jeff opens the book of isaiah chapter nine so that we delve now deeply into this word uh isaac chapter nine and to read verse one and two i also want to invite our viewers those ones of us who are you know plugged into this study remotely from wherever you are either you're following us through facebook or even youtube you're also welcome to make you know your remarks your comments let's hear your questions you know the concerns that you might have as well as the audience here at the at the sanctuary you're invited at some point i'll give you an opportunity as well uh to share your perspectives on this study uh brother brother jeff isaiah chapter nine as as elder isaac prepares now to you know give us an understanding of who is a great light that is being described here you know a great rite that dispels darkness in in galilee and of the gentiles uh brother jeff what do the scriptures say isaiah 9 verse 1 and 2. nevertheless the deepness shall not be such as was in have accession what at the first he likely afflicted the land of zebulun and the land of naftali and afterwards did more previously afflict her by the way of the sea beyond jordan in galilee of the nations chapter 2 the people that walked in darkness have seen the great light they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death upon them had the light shined now verses one of isaiah chapter nine isaiah tries to grant and bring unto us a twofold prophecy one he mentions we see he mentioned the name zabloon and naftali these are the people of israel there are people of uh judah they're the children of israel and so he's trying to tell us that there is a prophecy specifically for the people of judah for the children of god uh in in the earlier days and then the second part he mentions galilee which we most of the time see meet in the new testament and jesus christ does quite a lot of work in the new testament specifically in galilee most of his disciples come from galilee now isaiah is simply trying to tell us that this message of peace is both for those that were there during the time of of that during his time and the time of akina king and also for us who are looking forward to the second and soon return of jesus christ thank you very much for that you know the the scripture there opens in a you know in a unique way nevertheless that's what i got from my my version you know and it it's the same one you could say but you know nevertheless it's trying to connect with something that has happened before uh isaac what is your perspective on this who is this light by the way thank you so much uh eldar i like the way chapter nine is starting versus saying nevertheless others saying but but if you see the word but oh never nevertheless it means something new is just about to happen it comes an opposite of something if it was a good thing then something bad is just about to happen if it was something bad then something good is just about to happen like this verse talks about the light which is just about to shine to the people of israel it means that before light there was darkness and what is this what this what is this that you talk about the darkness that we are talking about we know very well that in chapter 8 we read about king ahaz approaching the assyrian king to help them fight the enemies and when this happened then these people realized that they fell into a trap and so the people of assyria this king of assyria decided to to take part of galilee and uh transgender regions and combined it with its kingdom so they were under the kingdom of the king over syria and this one did not come with a good news this one came with trouble and some kind of suffering there was total darkness for these people there was no hope they lost hope completely but this verse introduces us to a new light and this light is a word picture for jesus christ so the verse simply introduces us to jesus christ who is going to bring hope to these people who have been in serious trouble who have been in darkness thank you very much and and we want now to request sister becky to shed some more light into this light you know as you link it up with the prophecies of simeon in the new testament what do you make of it you know what prophecy was given by simeon shortly after jesus was born in in bethlehem um thank you very much i'll just as we getting into the the greater light perhaps we may also need to point out the authenticity of scripture with regards to the fulfillment of this prophecy of isaiah if you look at matthew chapter 4 and verse 13 reading through 15 through 16 the scripture says and leaving nazareth he came and dwelt in the capinal which is upon the sea coast in the borders of zabulun and nephthalim that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by essays the prophet saying the land of zebulun and the land of nephthalim by the way of the sea beyond jordan galilee of the gentiles the people which sat in darkness so great light and them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up this authenticates the fact that the prophecy of isaiah was a true record of events a divine revelation from god and it also points us the fact that we can trust the scripture at this particular point we are told that jesus went he left nazareth and came to capernaum and later he is being referred to when that prophecy is being said to have been fulfilled the writer alludes to him as having been the light at that particular point if you read again the book of luke chapter 2 at the point that jesus christ is presented to the temple we meet the prophet simeon who had been promised that he will not die until he sees or rather unless he sees the great consolation and when simeon when the parents of christ jesus presents him to the temple we see in luke chapter 2 verse 30 to 32 reads for my eyes have seen thy salvation which you have prepared before the face of all people a light to lighten the gentiles and the glory of thy people israel so there is a running theme right from isaiah's prophecy to its fulfillment that matthew is talking about and now as luke is giving a true record we see that the reference between christ is synonymous with that of light and so it goes without saying that ultimately christ is this true light and finally if you look at the book of john john speaks to this in john chapter one in the words that light came to the world but the word love darkness more than light and in a sense they rejected that light and so all these prophecies points us to the fact that this is what john chapter 1 verse 8 verse 8 to 10 says he was not that light but was sent to bear witness of that light that was the true light which lighted every man that comes into the world he was in the world and the world was made by him and the world knew him not so we are given the light that shines forth in darkness and that same light is jesus that we have been talking about thank you very much for now bringing it much more closer home you know giving us the understanding that the light we're actually talking about is none other than jesus christ himself you know as backed up by the number of scriptures that we've looked through you know further by looking at john chapter 8 12 and of course matthew the the the verses that you've also read chapter 4 12 14 the light then won't have much meaning to us if we are not responding to it and i want us you know to get a further understanding of what sort of response then do we need to make uh elder uh amos you know looking at the book of first peter you know chapter 2 9 who are we then who are we and how are we meant to respond to this light you know those ones of us who have been delivered from darkness because then sister becky made it clear that you know the light was made available but people rejected that light so deliverance has come our way what should be our response with regard to the light that has been availed to us eldar thank you thank you all right so uh what what what what what do you make of this uh what should be our response then perhaps if i may just give a jointer to that is if you look at the book of first peter chapter 2 verse 9 it points us the fact that we are a royal priest to the holy nation god's chosen people that you may call show forth the praises of he who has called us out of darkness into marvelous light so that particular scripture really alludes the fact that we were initially in darkness and even our very existence was from a point of darkness in the sense that at the beginning in the beginning the world the earth was formless and with and and void and darkness over the darkness was in the face of the deep when the lord spoke left there be light it was light and so that is a similar experience of every person that before we are called into our christian experience we are in that darkness and it takes us appreciating seeing the light and knowing that we can be the light that's what makes a difference appreciating by seeing the light and knowing that we can yes seeing the light you know that you can make a difference with it this is what actually i mean when you are in a dark room you are unable to see things if light peers into the room you are in a position of seeing things and even identifying what can be of benefit to you from it and therefore you are different from the one who has not had a chance to perceive appreciate or use the light thank you very much for for that perspective i can see brazil if you you also want to jump into this what what yes isaiah 9 verses 3 tells us more about the response to this great light he tells us though has multiplied the nations and not increased the joy the joy before the according to the joy in harvest and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil now we are seeing that this light should grant unto us who believe who believe in this greater light a joyous a joyous feeling this this this analogy that christians are always gloomy they have that gloomy look here but it's it should not be as so it should be that when we have received christ who we are going to see as the greater light we should have a countenance that is joyful we should show our people that we are serving a god who has brought light into us and is going to give us joy that surpasses human understanding thank you very much i don't know whether eldar you've got some testimony to share with us even as you are a great father on that you know our response to the light that you've already received uh thank you thank you my elder uh before that allow me also to just say that looking at uh first peter 2 and 9 if we read we are told but but you are a chosen generation a royal priesthood a holy nation a peculiar people that you should show for the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light so as for me the response that we need to show after receiving the light having been brought out of darkness into the light is that we should show forth the praises of god him who has called us him who is light we should show forth his praises so that is what i would put but uh considering if i have a testimony indeed i have a testimony and i think i've said this before having been brought up in the church having been brought up by adventist parents church was normal and we grew up and we went to church but like many of us at one point as a young person you drift away and you go and explore the world and at one time you have the your your nevertheless moment or your butt moment and and god brings in that light into your life and because it is by grace that we are saved it is only by grace that that light shone unto me and accepted it and that is why today i can show forth the praises of him who has called me out of darkness into this light thank you thank you very much and you know that one now draws us near into another aspect you know that we are looking at today and i'll invite uh elder isaac to to read for us the book of isaiah 9 6-7 and we are now going to focus on this child you know a special child that will be born what do the scriptures tell us in isaiah 9 6-7 the bible says it was a six for unto us a child is born and to us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called wonderful counselor the mighty god everlasting father and the prince of peace very very powerful titles given given there right there about the child that is born and i don't know as you are looking at these titles something must have you know come through your mind and i want to invite any one of us you know to to share what specific title you know touched you and then what what is what do you make of that title anyone please send this yes i said i mentioned earlier that this was my most fascinating moment of this study and for me verse 6 says that and his name shall be called wonderful canceler when they say the mighty god the everlasting father the prince of peace the use of the article there signifies that there is none other they would if there were a multitude of princes of peace it would have been a prince of peace but the use of there as an article connotes to me as a christian that the lord jesus christ is worthy of praise and adoration the the the thing that comes to mind is the question people would ask should we worship jesus should we sing praises to him is he god truly that is the the the conversation is is christ god that's a conversation that many people are having in their christian in their crisis as christians because you ask yourself is the father the father where do we place christ but when we look at this particular prophecy of isaiah who says unto us a child is born it's not worse not will be is present perfect and to us our son is given it's as well a very present perfect use of the word and his name shall be called wonderful the mighty god it shows that christ is god and it also shows that he is their everlasting father and it has he is their prince of peace meaning that unless we come to that moment in our christian experience where we appreciate that christ is a hundred percent divine and a hundred percent human however difficult that looks to the human mind then we shall not have attained our highest sense of the sign that god intended to give us in our moments of crisis so that christ in our lives is not just someone on the side he's not just a son but he is the son the child the everlasting father the prince of peace the mighty god thank you thank you for clarifying on that eldar isaac you seem to also have heard something that you know is very striking in this conversation could you please share your views thank you so much elder i want to take you to the book of luke luke chapter 2 verses 9 10 and 11. it says and lord the angel of the lord came upon them and the glory of the lord shone round about them and they were much afraid and the angel said unto unto them fear not for behold i bring you good tidings of great joy we shall be to all the people for unto you is born this day in the city of david a savior who is christ the lord i'm interested in this term the savior the world is looking for a savior because we are in great trouble we have sinned and everything is black but there is hope in this chapter and in this verse that there is a savior who has been born and this savior is going to save us from all the troubles of this life and even promised that even when he was still sinners he died for us and so this gives us great hope in this chapter that we have a savior who is willing to save us from all the troubles of this life thank you allah yes thank you for my part apart from the names that were given there we see jesus being given unto us we are told and to us a child is born a child is given in that this gift that god gave is to each and every one of us nobody is excluded and with the attributes that we have been given here when we make reference uh to the book education uh by uh sister white we are being told there that the noblest of all that lived in this planet earth all that they heard is encompassed in him the teacher given from heaven we are being told that through christ it was communicated every ray of divine light through him every ray of divine light was communicated every noble and pure thought was sent to mankind so we see it is not just that jesus is like it uh describes in uh in in in isaiah 9 and 6 but there is so much that jesus encompasses such that if there's anything we desire to have in this life he is the ultimate thank you thank you very much for for that and um i i want this to be drawn closer in terms of how the the the angels themselves describe you know this this special child in luke 2 9 to 11 i don't know what you saw there stabeki when you look at the book of luke 2 9 how is this a child described i don't know thank you but i'm thinking brother elder isaac already shared on the aspect of how the angels uh described jesus and he pointed out that the savior aspect of it was outstanding in that the world needed a savior maybe i need not add any further unless brother jeff has something to add on the scene maybe yeah thank you very much i want to add from the continuation of chapter 6 into into verse 7 verse 6 into verse 7 of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end upon the throne of david and upon his kingdom to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth ever for from hence whatever forever the zeal of the lord of hosts will perform this now we are seeing a christ who is not only willing to save us but he is very zealous very enthusiastic to bring salvation our way he is very zealous very enthusiastic to bring this greater light our way we have seen uh uh we have read of stories uh case in point is the story of gideon and the midianites when the media knights and the malachites marched to wage war with gideon and his 300 soldiers we see god bringing victory to gideon which means that with this light we have the power of god and so when we walk in this light we are walking in the power of god god is zealous god is enthusiastic to save you and to save me let us join him that we too would be zealous and we would be enthusiastic about his life that he's offering unto us thank you very much and i want to briefly pause you know at this point and uh you know get to the give an opportunity also to the brethren here at the sanctuary to also share their views on on the subject just a minute uh where if someone really had something that they also want to share as the technical team try to prepare them you know to share their perspective i just want to draw our attention to what our viewers are also you know contributing online i'm on youtube i'm seeing um you know many of us wishing us a happy sabbath kevin muangi happy sabbath new life church uh teresa and yamara god wants us to repent our sins you know that is the way that's that's why the way he delays to punish us sister sarah says amen becky you know the verses settled the discussion jesus is god hallelujah you know wonderful wonderful remarks in there uh dr brand ayako says as humans we still don't know peace you know that's why we we have always uh under we have all laws and penal institutions otherwise if everyone will be allowed to do as they wish i will not have peace true peace comes from jesus true peace comes from jesus you know kevin is asking a question and um i don't seem to see any reaction from the veteran unless they are coming but as we we we wait for reactions from you know the brethren in the sanctuary any one of us can respond to you know kevin is asking when we sin time and again or repeatedly do the same sins do the same things is is there still a possibility of being pardoned by god if we repent you know when you are sinning continuously is there a chance that you can be pardoned if you repent or is it over for us kevin is in distress i don't know who will want to jump into this and share their perspective on all the same you know um doreen scott says happy sabbath everyone god bless you all happy sabbath from maranada maranada from uh south africa that is the chair and then sabah happy sabbath becky on goku and this is being with us um we don't seem to see anyone but i don't know whether anyone of us would want to react to that question when we sin continuously on the sinning continuous i think there is only one unpardonable sin and this one is denying the holy spirit when the holy spirit always talks to you about a certain sin and you refuse to repent then i think that one is not pardonable but all other sins can be forgiven when you are still alive unless you die when you are still a sinner but if you have an opportunity to repent before you die i pray that you may do it so that you do not die without sin because immediately you die your chapter is closed thank you the mere fact that you're able to identify that whatever you have done is a sin is a step in the right direction because first john chapter 1 verse 8 says if we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness so being in a position to identify the sin shows that the holy spirit is still working in us for his role is to convict us of sin of righteousness and of judgment therefore as long as you are capable of knowing or noticing that you have sinned the next reasonable step is to confess your sin and upon being forgiven repent turn away from it entirely we have a perfect example in king king ahaz he was a hidden king and most of the time he denounced god and his way and the ways of god even when god tried to to to to uh lure him to ask of him of anything you'll get that in chapter 8 chapter 7 also you'll get of in isaiah we see that however much he sinned god was still willing to save him even though he he went to the assyrians to try and get to try and get refuge still it is god who used this assyrians to come and help him so god is always willing day and night willing to help us so that we come from our sinful situations and when we choose god while we are still alive he will vindicate us and actually make us to be sinless may god bless us thank you um salvation is granted to us free you know but we've got to make a choice whether we want to have that salvation or not now i want us now to delve into another subject in our study you know are people given an opportunity to repent but they remain rebellious and i want to read from isaiah chapter 9 verse 8 through to chapter 10 as as elder almost you prepare to respond to this you know what sort of attitude do you see revealed in these words you know for those who choose to ignore god's warning message psalm 9 8 says the lord sent a word against jacob and it has foreign and it has fallen on israel all the people will know ephraim and the inhabitants of samaria who say in pride and arrogance of heart but then the bricks are falling down but we rebuild with hillstones the sycamores are cut down but we replace them with cedars you know are people filled with arrogance and pride what do you make of this elder thank you what i make of this is many a times as human beings and even so as believers we find ourselves pursuing courses that are very very selfish and in them we build pride and arrogance within ourselves we see the children of israel stamping and showing trying to demonstrate and prove their might but in all that god is still forbearing with them god is still kind and gracious even to give them an opportunity the spirit of arrogance and pride is that of selfishness we will see later on maybe exactly where did this come from where did the spirit of arrogance and calm and pride come from because when god created our first parents they were obedient they were subject to the will and authority of god but how is it that at one point then we have arrogance coming in and this as christians if we ever live in arrogance and pride then we are not living according to the will of god thank you arguments and pride that fills the world today you know and we can see it all around us in our daily lives i don't know where else in the bible you've seen this sister becky are people filled with you know arrogance and pride and outwardly showing so the issue of arrogance and pride we realize that it stems from the feeling of self-sufficiency the ability to do or achieve exploits on your own and when you look at scripture it's replete with people who are under the impression of self-sufficiency found themselves departing far and far away from god we look at in the first instance the children of israel having left egypt in the wilderness they have faced the water crisis and they asked moses warrant their graves for us in egypt to be buried that you have brought us to die here in the wilderness they forget the mighty signs that the lord showed himself strong using the ten plagues that plagued the egyptians and spared the children of israel if you move further to exodus around 32 you find that the children of israel saying telling aaron make us a god as for that moses we do not know what he's doing so when they were at that particular moment they want a physical god they refer to moses as that moses if you look at the book of genesis chapter 11 we have the in the the people who built the tower of bubble and they're saying that less to be scattered throughout the world let us construct a tower for ourselves forgetting that the lord himself spoke in genesis that people ought to multiply and fill the earth so there was no way the earth could be filled if they were to reside in one single tower look again at the bucharesa saying is it this bubble on the grass that i have built with my own hands so that one led him to arrogance but where does it come from as um elder almost asked of us isa chapter 14 um verse 12 speaks of this how are thou fallen from heaven or lucifer son of the morning how are thou cut down to the ground which did weaken the nations you have said in your heart i will ascend into heaven i will exalt my throne above the stars of god i will sit also upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north i will ascend above the height of the clouds i will be like the most high the repetition of the word eye shows self-sufficiency desire to take the place of god yet god alone is in charge of all our lives thank you thank you very much with arrogance and pride god does not delay in chastening you know those those that you know outwardly you know show an attitude of arrogance and pride i don't know what you make of it just in 30 seconds elder isaac does god then stop to punish us i want to quickly refer you to the book of hebrews chapter 12 verses 6 for whom the lord loves a chastise as courageous every son whom he receives god punishes us not because he wants to destroy us when god wanted to destroy the people of judah he would allow the assyrians to just do it right away but god is a god of love he gives us time to change our ways we have the free will we have the freedom of choice and so the choices we make they have consequences but in these consequences god still gives us time so that we may realize our mistakes and come back to him god gives us an opportunity and sometimes we could get the punishment to draw us closer back to him i want you to ask yourself whether could covet for example the one way that god has trusted us because of our arrogance and pride and many other afflictions that we go through now i want us to bring this closer home towards the conclusion by looking at the concept of uh you know the route and the branch you know and also getting comfort you know towards the end there and unlike us sister becky you know how is this prophecy then fulfilled in the life of jesus when you look at isaiah 11 1 and 2. 1 and 2 says and there shall come forth a road out of the stem of jesse and a branch shall grow out of his roots and the spirit of the lord shall rest upon him the spirit of wisdom and understanding the spirit of counsel and might the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the lord this really shows us that when you look at the road coming out of the stem of jesse when a tree is cut from the stem and the stump remains it can still sprout again it can still grow again but when the root is removed or it is uprooted there is no other chance of it to remain what this shows us in the life of jesus christ is that salvation of mankind is con it is incomplete without the second coming of jesus christ the first coming of christ dying on the cross was an opportunity for us to experience freedom from sin but our freedom from the presence of sin will only be entire at the time when christ jesus comes a second which will bring or ensure that this salvation that god intended is actually full free and complete thank you thank you very much indeed you've you know combined if i would say you've even gone further ahead to look at even verse five uh all the way to verse three four five uh in other words you're trying to link his first coming and the second coming you know i don't know whereas in the scripture we see the art now being made new uh brother jeff do you want to make one quick comment regarding that sure uh revelation chapter 22 verse 16 mainstream mentions to us something about jesus christ bring the root let me just find it and read it 22 16 tells us that i have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches i am the root of the offspring of david and the bride and morning star now we are seeing christ was there even before creation [Music] forming the root then later on he comes he comes out of the linear of jesse and david so jessa is more of like the stamp but then later on we see jesus christ coming the first time and then we are seeing that the shoot then depicts to us a jesus christ who is there up to the end an eternal god an eternal jesus christ an eternal savior an eternal prince of peace so he was there before and he's there even right now he'll be there even at true and to the end and end of times thank you very much brother jeff as you we close this then what sort of comfort does this prophecy give us uh elder isaac when you look at the hymn of uh isaac in chapter 12 of those six verses just just give us a snapshot of the call for them this all prophecy gives all of us thank you so much in verses 12 of isaiah chapter one to six there's one of the israelites who decided to compose a song for god just because of deliverance and comfort and this song tells us that uh god is still a god of love god delivers is a deliverer he always delivers delivers us even if we find ourselves in sinning most of the time we sin but it's god who looks for us if you remember the book of genesis chapter 3 when adam and eve sinned it is god who went to the garden over there to look for that for them not adam and eve looking for uh for god and so god is a god of love he chooses to bring us back even when we sing thank you one word elder amus from me one word is that our god indeed is a god of love and even when he chastens us he chastens us because he loves us and his desires that will be with him thank you thank you very much our god is a god of love and when he punishes us it's basically trying to draw us closer to him that's what we had to share with you our brethren today and those ones of us who are here and those ones who are following us online we hope that you've you know picked a lesson or two out of the prophecies of isaiah that we've looked at you know in these four chapters i'd like to give sister becky an opportunity to close the study with our word of prayer eternal god and father in heaven we give thanks and praise for your bounties that you have shown us your goodness that you have attended to us dear father throughout our study may your spirit of truth give us an understanding heart to be able to put into practice that which we have learned for the themes that have hitherto proved difficult we still pray that may open the understanding of our heart that we may get clear perspectives of these wonderful words of life thank you for giving us an opportunity to shine that men by seeing our good deeds may give glory and honor to your name keep us loving you keep us serving you and keep us trusting you and those who have made a decision through this study to follow you and have a deeper experience with you may you perfect their desire may you satisfy their need and may you preserve them faultless and blameless until the time that christ jesus will come to take us home thank you for listening and answering our prayer we ask in jesus name amen thank you and god bless you all [Music] [Music] happy sabbath happy sabbath we want to thank our god that he has kept us safe until this time and he has given us another day because he loves us and because he has given us another chance to make the right decisions if even as we get closer and closer to his coming my names are dr stella kemunto and i'm going to give the health nugget today and we are going to do high blood pressure what we also called hypertension let us start with a word of prayer our kind and loving father what in heaven we come before you just as we are humbly requesting you to pat on us forgive us cleanse us and help us oh god i humbly request you to speak to me and through me to your people or god so that they will live a healthier life as you want them to live this is my humble prayer in jesus name amen okay when we go to our homes in the kitchen and we open the top we open our type the water comes out the water can come out at a very low pressure or at a very high pressure pressure that will make us try to reduce the type so that the water comes down at a pressure that you would want to use when you are washing your dishes or collecting water for what you want to cook so what is high blood pressure what is hypertension hypertension is when the force of blood on the arteries is very high so when you open your tap your water is coming out very high pressure that's the same meaning of hypertension the blood in our blood vessel is flowing at a very high pressure so there is a standard pressure that your blood is supposed to flow in your blood vessel which is 120 over 80. by 120 over 80 your heart has four rooms so the upper rooms when they press the blood that is their first value which is 120 when the two lower rooms pressure press the blood the lower value gives the pressure which is 80. so when do you say you have high blood pressure when the pressure of the upper rooms on the blood is 140 and the two lower room of their heart on their blood is 90. that gives you there 140 over 90. when do you say that you have severe high blood pressure when the pressure of the upper two rooms of the blood is 180 over 120 we say that you have severe high blood pressure so how do you know that you have hypertension usually there are no signs you are just normal you've heard of these people who are walking then all of a sudden they just fell down and died those are people when you check maybe their pressure was high or sometimes you can have mild headaches or sometimes you have a pounding feeling on your head and your chest or sometimes you hear your heart is beating those are signs that you could be having a high blood pressure and one of the things that you should do is do frequent testing you know a prophet said that every member of the seventh-day adventist church should be a medical missionary so you should have these tools in your house you should have a high blood pressure testing machine and you should know how to test this pressure don't wait for you to have hypertension just buy these machines and keep keeping them in your house so what causes high blood pressure sometimes it can be something that runs in your family it is genetic so maybe your father had your mother had your grandmother had so it comes out to you to you that you have and another major thing that causes high blood pressure is stress stress is one thing that causes about 60 percent of the diseases that we have also the diets that we eat if we eat food we like chips fried foods we fry our meat frying frying all the time then this fat goes and enters into our blood and our blood vessels blocks the blood vessels and we have the blood going on high pressure also the lifestyle that we live if we are working the whole night all the time we don't have enough stress a rest we don't have enough water we are drinking we are not exercising then we have we develop a high blood pressure so what do we do how do we manage this uh high blood pressure once they usually at the hospital if you go to the hospital they'll take two of your values they cannot just take one value and say you have hypertension no they will take one value they see how it is they take another value if it is still high then they say you have hypertension and then depending if it is moderate if maybe you have 140 over 90 they will tell you go and change your diet go and change your life's lifestyle but if they check your value and your value is maybe 160 over 120 then they will put you on medication this medication basically removes water from the blood if you if your tap is coming on high pressure what you do you close so that you remove a little water from the tap so the same way the bloods will the drugs will pull out the water from there from their blood or they'll make your vessels become fat if you go and make your tap fatter then the pressure of the water will reduce but what are the things that you can do for yourself to help your high blood pressure you can start by reducing your weight by maybe exercising you can reduce stress stress everybody has problems some people have very big big problems but the difference is how we react and manage these problems so there are skills on stress management and you can apply these skills so that you can be able to reduce your stress then there are things that we take if people take alcohol smoking these things uh you stop them so that you reduce your pressure you stop taking salt in food go into a vegetarian try out the vegetarian diet people are trying out nowadays go into the diet that we are expected as adventists you know dr magoma was here last sabbath and she gave us a nice salmon she took us from the courtyard to their holy place to their most holy place and you know what all these compartments have their diet some people they come and ask you wait a moment when jesus and the two angels went to visit abraham abraham cooked for them lamb meat what are you telling me about eating meat because at that time they were at the outer court outer cut you can eat meat in there middle cuts you can eat vegetables and what vegetarian you can cook but now when you go to the most holy place where you are supposed to be glorified you are supposed to be eating the diet they ate at the garden of eden that was fruits nuts and grains you now even move from vegetarian to more raw food at the most holy place so there are different expectations you know when the priest went to the most holy place the congregation had to do they had to prepare things that's why you hear adventists are going country leaving you hear adventists are doing dress reform they're doing sabbath reform music reforms these are the expectations of their most holy place holy places expectation read your bible evangelize pray those are the expectations of their holy place so now as adventists we've been given the health message and there's a verse in the bible that always shocked me in the book of psalms which says that god will heal all our diseases you know as we are right now there are diseases which have no treatment in fact high blood pressure is one of the decisions that he said that once you get high blood pressure not stopping in fact your drugs will continue and continue and continue but god in his word says i will heal all your diseases i will heal sickle cell i will heal hiv i will heal that cancer that you've been told now go home and rest god says he will heal all our diseases and he says in the book of exodus he tells the israelites that if you keep my commandments if you keep my laws if you keep my precepts you keep my statues i will remove for from you the diseases of the egyptians when you dig deeper into the bible it shows you the diseases of the egyptians are the leukemias lymphomas high blood pressures diabetes and the cancers those are the diseases of the egyptians and it is so interested that it's interesting that a human being we are made up of the body and the spirit so if you want to heal your spirit what do you do you keep the commandments of god you heal your spirit you have the natural law the health reform if you keep it you heal your body that's why you cannot separate the gospel from their health message health message heals the body uh reading the bible everything here's the spirit so that you have a whole human being so as adventists we have amazing books this one is called the healthy jesus i really love this one and we said for high blood pressure what you do you reduce your weight and you reduce the cholesterol so this book has given me for jesus that you can make these jesus i know them as blood transfusers if you go to the hospital they see your blood is little they add for you blood but how can you help a patient at home who has low blood number one for anything to do with the heart and cardiovascular system is tomatoes if you take your tomato you cut it into half you look at it it looks like the heart if you want to take care of your uterus look at the avocado you cut it it looks like the uterus if you want to take care of your kidneys look at your beans they look like they're kidneys beans they take care of their kidney so our heart our high blood pressure number one is tomato so you make tomato juice take your juicer take your blender blend the tomatoes you get the juice add water blend you get the tomato juice get two glasses of tomato juice in the morning and then evening another blood transfuser which also helps in high potential is beetroot the red in color the red in color red things red fruits are good for their cardiovascular system so let me list them if you have pen and paper you write them down they are for tomato juice beetroot juice pomegranate juice you know the high priest is closed there there were those belts on the clothes they were pro magnet uh promegamet juice and berry juice then finally to conclude how do we reduce weight what is the best way to reduce our weight we use chia seeds and lemon juice take the chia seeds put soak it in a cup of water for 30 minutes until it's jelly like blend it add the rest of the water four cups add four tablespoons of lemon juice and then mix it up and give the patient how do you clear cholesterol from your blood you use guava juice flax seeds and soy milk you blend that guava flax seeds and soy milk blend that remove all the cholesterol from your blood and apples lemon juice apples and lemon blend that that will remove uh cholesterol from your blood so i've basically finished but what message will i leave for you i will leave for you this message on how our diet plan should be eat breakfast like a king lunch like a prince supper like a poor man start your morning with two glasses of warm lemonade water okay thank you so much for giving me a hearing and maybe we'll close with the word of prayer our kind and loving father who are in heaven we want to thank you for that health message that you've given us father in heaven you can hear the message but putting it into practice is another thing so we humbly request for your strength and power so that we may even get the interest to learn more and more of this because really we are the doctor of the world and really we have failed corona came and we failed we humbly request you to forgive us and to help us this is my humble prayer in jesus name amen you know some of the things we used to we used to take for granted like joining hands and that's why the bible says work for the night is coming when no man shall walk so some things we take for granted but they're important i want us to turn to the song great is thy faithfulness even as we think of god's faithfulness we'll sing the fast and the third stanza great is the god faithfulness father there is [Applause] [Music] is morning [Music] new verses [Applause] [Music] great is thy faithfulness [Music] [Music] is [Applause] [Music] [Music] what does he give blessings for mine we tend [Music] is faithfulness morning by morning new mercies [Music] [Music] [Applause] is [Music] i just want to hear the congregation only great is our faithfulness at home just sing it stands again great is i faithfulness if you believe it sing it with all your heart great is thy faithfulness greatness and faithfulness cause come on sing great jesus [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] thank you so much for joining we are told that god inhabits our praise at this time we'll just sing a song that is a prayer it is not in the seventh day adventist hymnal but the hymn is entitled such me oh god so even as we sing you can be making a prayer in your heart that the lord shall search you and see if there be any wicked way within and so that he can cleanse you and make you to be clean search me oh [Music] god see [Music] me know my thoughts i pray [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] set me [Music] free [Applause] revive all cows [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] for blessings [Music] amen at this time from 1844 22nd of october investigative judgment has been going on and we are at a time in history where we don't have to look at our friends or our neighbors but our prayer should be not my brother not my sister but it's me oh lord who's standing in the need of prayer and we really need to be praying that the lord revives us and pours out his holy spirit so that we may finish the work i want us to join in the song nataka ninjuesu because that's all we should be striving for him number 54 nimbo zakris [Music] is [Applause] [Music] me [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] gentlemen [Music] me [Music] [Music] amen that should be our prayer that more about jesus we will know at this time i will invite us to prepare our hearts as we seek the lord in prayer and will join in the song now dear lord as we pray [Music] no dear lord as we pray take our hearts and minds far away from the breaths of the world [Music] may our lives be transformed by your love may our souls be refreshed from [Applause] [Music] joy [Music] we bless your holy name we worship you and we thank you for the blessing of this servant we thank you father for the opportunity you have given unto us that we may call upon your name and further in heaven a special and dedicated sabbath that you have called us into your presence we cannot take it for granted you who is the lord of lords and the king of kings we come before your presence with a lot of humility in our hearts because father in heaven there is no one like you you have reminded us that there is no man who is safe for a day or an hour without prayer and further even stretching it further there is no man who is safe for every moment of life that we breathe without prayer and as we present ourselves unto your abrahams this day i pray that father in heaven may you take control of the programs of this day we have those that have already taken place we trust that they have been a blessing unto your servants and even those that are ongoing in this church and even in other churches out there our god in heaven we sanctify them and present them unto your hands and you pray that father in heaven that your servants will decrease as you increase in them and that father in heaven every servant of yours who walks into your sanctuary every servant of viewers who is hearing or watching from whatever places that they are will not remain the same we bring our heavy ladens into your presence that you may accept them and that you may give us a york that is easy for us to maneuver with and further we know very well that the enemy has come to kill and to destroy this life that you've given unto us but father in heaven you have sent your only begotten son jesus christ to come and give us life and to give it in abundance it is my prayer that it will be our experience that as we confess our sins and our trespasses you may hear our prayers and answer them according to your will and riches in glory i present the programs of this day father in heaven and your servants whom you've anointed so that they may take care of the programs and lead us through we pray that you may minister unto them and also minister unto us take charge even of the ordination that will be taking place that your servants who will be ordained will work together with the others that you've ordained our god in heaven that these three angels message that you've given unto us will be propagated into all corners of the world and that your soon return may be hessen that you may take us to your heavenly kingdom where you promised and us that you're preparing for us that at the appropriate time that you'll come oh god in heaven you will take us there god it's my prayer also that you remember your servant a new life and even outside new life because we have seen many cases of death of your servants but father in heaven we have this hope and the assurance that they have died in the lord and that as we look forward for the great resurrection morning we will meet together our god in heaven and it will be an opportunity for us that we will say that indeed death will now be overtaken oh god and that death shall have died for those who are sick and whatever places that they are it is my prayer that father in heaven you may visit with them and that you may stretch your healing hands upon each one of them or god we pray also to our nation kenya we ask for your leadership to take control and that the leaders you have given us from all the arms of governments we pray that father in heaven they may know you o god and even unto us you have put us in strategic places in this nation there are places of work that you may raise your banner high may we never disappoint you of god in heaven but may you raise your name high above than even what human beings can imagine thank you for the opportunity that given us to call upon your name and thank you because you have heard and you have answered our prayers take charge of the programs of the day once again and take care of us till the end of this sabbath for israel prayer in jesus christ holy name amen i take this opportunity to invite mrs irene omondi to take us through the children's program happy sabbath good morning children are you happy to be in god's presence this day we thank god for this far and as children it is something good to be in god's presence we are told that jesus loves us and he wants us to be more like him and in this day's salmon for the children we are looking on the theme of growth and before we do that let's pray our loving and kind father we appreciate that you have called us here to worship you for that is your desire that you may grow in all aspects of our lives oh god therefore we pray that as we study your word this morning lord god you are giving us that desire to grow in you and to bring glory to your holy name is our prayer in jesus name amen so boys and girls this sabbath we are looking at growth and the whole of this month we have been looking at growth in various aspects of our lives and today being the four part of our series we want to look at how to grow socially the previous segments have been growing physically and on physical physical growth we have been told how a plant grows how a plant is able to get its nutrients from the water nutrients from soil to just grow and a plant needs water a plant needs air a plant needs oxygen and a plant needs the light the sunlight to grow and you can see on the screen there's a very beautiful plant on it and you know that for that tree to be what it is for that tree to be that beautiful then it needed soil it needed water it needed fresh air it needed light for it to grow and the same goes with our spiritual lives the same goes with our physical lives for us to grow we need to eat the plant needs water for food the plant needs our soil and as a christian as a child we need to see you grow physically to reach your potential we need you to be strong to go to school we need you to be strong to serve god we need you to be strong to run around and play with other children we need you to be because even though people's laugh so you'll only be doing this when you are strong as we have been told in the previous segments that you need healthy food and healthy foods we have been also told today as we were going through our health nuggets on the food that we need to eat for us to grow so you can see on the screen we have we have very beautiful foods to eat there are cucumbers their carrots and these are healthy foods that will give you strength for your daily living you need clean water you need air and you need rest and we thank god for sabbath that on this day we are able to forget about school and about anything that mommy gave us to do and just focus on god and the next thing we were told the second part of our of our learning was about spiritual growth and so as a plant needs food so we also need to feed our spiritual bodies and as we were told that food is the word of god on the screen you can see the bible so you need to read your bible every day we were told in some days that a scripture a day keeps the devil away but now we don't need a scripture a day we need to read it every day every time you find time every time you set aside time to feed on your spiritual life so that you are not able to to die if we don't read the word of god then we are shrinking and shrinking and will not be what god wants us to do and so it's my prayer that we will ask mommy if you don't have a bible tell mommy to buy you a bible if you don't know how to read tell mommy to teach you how to read or to read it for you so that as she or he is reading you are able to know what god wants for you and what god has for you in life so god wants us to get to a level where we are not only going to be drinking milk you know and as a child you drink only meal god wants us to get to a level where we are able to crack nuts we are able to crack apples and with that we can only do it when we read the word of god you need to drink water healthy good water fresh water for strength you need to rest you need to get to know god deeper and the sabbath day is not a day to come and meet friends it's about about coming to know christ ephesians 4 tells us that we need to feed more in god's word so that we are not just left and right by any doctrine that would come away and this also applies to us even as adults we are children of god so let us get to know god deeper and deeper we need prayer in our life for us to grow spiritually if we don't pray then we are nothing we cannot scare the devil so let us pray each day god tells us never to cease praying lord tells us that we call upon his name he's always ready to listen and to us another thing we we need to do to feed our spiritual bodies is we need to fellowship as we have been told in the previous segments let us not forsake meeting i know covey has happened we are not able to meet but now there are platforms we have zoom meetings we have things and even now people are coming back as we abide by the regulations you have been given by the government so if you find time come to god's house if you are about six years children we have room for you for those who cannot go to the online classes we will be able to teach you and so that your spiritual life is fed the other thing we need to do is we need to praise god we need to just love god and serve him and then last week we were being told about growing emotionally and you are given a very good example of an automobile you know like the plane you can see a plane you can see the bars they are they need strength to move they need power and their power comes from the engine and so like us as human beings our power does not come from the engine but our power is in the mind can you point where your mind is children do you know where your mind is it's up here and so for you to feed your mind for you to make it strong for you to make your mind be in tune with god then now you need to start listening to things that bring glory to god you need to be able to watch things that give god glory you need to think right you need to reason right you need to improve every day in your life as you strengthen your your mind and this you only do when you do all those things that i've said watching the right thing listening to the right kind of gospel reach listening to the word of god we are told that when we listen to the word of god then we develop faith and this word transforms our lives and makes us more like christ so children is our desire that you may grow in christ that you may grow in everything you may excel we don't just want you to excel in your schoolwork we want to you to exalt spiritually because jesus christ is coming back for us is that right kids so we want you to grow spiritually so that when you've gotten your air you are able to also go to heaven with that air you have so that you don't get lost because the enemy has come to steal to kill and to destroy us so if we don't feed our spiritual minds then what to us we will be destroyed so today we are going to look at the fourth aspect the first one was physical as per growth the second one was spiritual growth the third one now uh we've looked at was the emotional growth and then now the last one today we are looking at our social growth the social growth now entails us loving one another caring for one another being there for your friend being there for your mommy when mommy's sick you're able to pray for her or when daddy is looking for something a job you are able to pray for us because as children god hears our prayers as children when we are wishing god for our our friends then god is able to honor that in first corinthians verse 12 in first corinthians chapter 12 verse 30 we are told that every part of the body is very important if my eye is sick then my feet should not be rejoicing or is my if my leg cannot work then my lymph or my hip should not be rejoicing so when my eye is painful then the whole body will feel the pain this means that every part of the body is equally important the same to us here in church so children it is my prayer this morning that we are able to love one another care for one another when your friend needs something be there for that friend you are able to teach them to love god like you love the lord so it is god's desire that every child will love him jesus came and died on the cross for us jesus came and took everything our pain our shame that we may be able to get eternal life so there is no one who is less important i could know how to sing very well but i need somebody who really knows the word of god so that we feed on the word i could be able to know how to serve cleaning the the chairs or making the room ready for us to come to church but there is we also need somebody who will be able to collect offerings on just do something that will be able to add value to our lives so it's my prayer that you will do these things don't look less on your on your sister because now she cannot sing and you can think better and then you start laughing at her that is not what god wants us to to do god wants us to be able to love each and every one and to know that he loves us he died for us and that he wants us to reach heaven so our memory verse this morning as i wrap this up comes from the book of ephesians chapter 4 verse 16 and i will ask that next sabbath so you have to master it it's from the book of ephesians 4 15 it says instead speaking the truth in love we will grow to become in every aspect the mature body of him who is the head and that is christ so i'll repeat that ephesians chapter 4 verse 15 it says instead speaking the truth in love we will grow to become in every aspect the mature body of him who is the head and that is christ jesus so god wants us to love one another god wants us to grow in him so children may you take it up upon yourself each day to pray each day to read the word of god each day to fellowship ask mommy that you want to have those prayers in the evening or in the morning those devotions are very key when it's supper time ensure you are in class ensure you're learning from god love one another ensure you are feeding your body with the right thing and god will bless us and god's name will be glorified may god help you and me as we grow in all aspects of life that is our prayer and that is to give god glory amen children so we want to think jesus loves me as we go and as we call it uh someone this morning for the children segment jesus loves me this i know for the bible tells me song little ones to him below he's strong yes jesus loves me yes i know yes jesus loves me yes jesus loves me [Music] amen a man and a man may i request the congregation to be outstanding as we sing the doxology praise god from whom all blessings flow [Music] praise [Music] praising the lord [Music] praise holy ghost creator of the of the universe i want to come to you this morning in worship and adoration in celebration and happiness of what you have done to us and especially today when we have an ordination ceremony we want to ask that what you did to the children of israel by setting aside the ministerial leaders when we repeat this made come back to life and show us the significance of today's sabbath so we want to please everyone in the congregation here in the church and elsewhere virtually that you bless all of us through this service to the horn and glory of your name the good of the church and the salvation of people amen this we pray in the dear name of our lord jesus christ amen hello the lord is good and all the time allow me to take this opportunity to welcome our president our executive director from south nairobi calgary failed to come forward so that he can be able to do introduction of all the guests that we have with us god bless you thank you the lord is good and all the time indeed we praise and we glorify his name for the blessings that he continue to store upon us may i take this opportunity to welcome every one of you into our special worship today the ordination program done by uh the east kenya union in conjunction with the southern european field and therefore uh being brought life from this judge near this day church welcome the few of us who do the recitation for pastor nyambani we appreciate the team that has escorted him and the two parents that have been with them we thank you for the good work that you've been doing making sure that pastor yambane would be the pastor that we are seeing here and so the recitation for pastor nyambane goes like this pastor andrew nyambane was born in 1968 and is now 52 years old he was baptized into the adventist faith in 1990 and served in technology vop sop youth library publishing and elders departments so those are the departments that he has served in the church since he was baptized and so pastor nyambani is married to a literate evangelist sister eunice and so this happened when when did they marry 19 1997 and they are blessed with two children pastor yambane received frame primary education at retech school from 1975 to 1983. he proceeded to eventual secondary school in kissy county from 1984 to 1987 he went to university of eastern africa baraton from 2012 to 2016 and graduated with bachelors of hearts in theology he joined the adventist employment in 1991 as a self-supportive literature evangelist for 15 credentials and later was called to ministerial in 2014 and has worked as district pastor for seven years and saw which districts has he served in the past we have the larger dandora kaiole district then dantora mavindini magadhi and now is currently serving at a senior district he has been able to conduct about 30 campaigns and the over 500 souls have been worn to christ including 120 from drc congo he has opened eight congregations and organized four churches all totalling to twelve he is being ordained today 30th of january 2021 as a minister of the gospel allow me to take this opportunity to wish him all the best in the ministry that a main god use him may the holy spirit guard and keep watch over him together with his dear wife that as she supports him that in god's ministry may be expanded more and more and so pastor once more we wish you all the best members this is our first bond uh since saudi nairobi callado was was launched or was organized as a field and so we are so much happy to have him with us god bless you now the team that was was was escorting him you can now get back to your seat and pastor and his dear wife will be shown where they can be able to sit thank you um yeah you'll be seated somewhere here wait until the chairs are here thank you good morning brothers and sisters the lord is good and all the time i want to take this opportunity to thank god for gathering those who are here and i'm very aware that there are several who are watching this online [Music] from the comfort of their homes from villas places in their cars wherever they are because of the situation created by the coffee 19 but nonetheless we want to thank god that he has been able to help us peak very quickly and run services even with the limitations that were brought about by covet 19. let me start by thanking everyone for coming here and by tuning in wherever you are so that we can have this sabbath i want to announce that today [Music] is the first ordination sabbath for our newly organized field south nairobi gagado field i want to thank them because they chose this church new life 7th day advanced church 15 gong avenue nairobi and that is where we are organizing and conducting this service today i want to thank the president of the field the executive secretary the treasurer the department directors and all workers and guests who have been invited pastors who have come from the union the treasurer the ministerial secretary everybody that has made it here also thank the church leadership from the elders the pastor and the elders the pastors and the elders department directors and all those who have their names either on the church register or on sabbath school register i want to thank you very much for tuning in so this time i have one candidate andrew yambane and his wife eunice i want you to stand up and face the congregation this is the capo that is being ordained today in the gospel ministry and i want to set the ground until you will take a little longer but not very long because an ordination ceremony we must go all the steps there are not very many but i want to prepare you that you'll be seeing us doing a few things until the ordination ceremony is over please may you be seated and nabana you can now sit and face me you can now sit and face me okay just get seated in the book of exodus 13 god ordained certain things and instructed his people to conduct them in such a way that it arouses the curiosity of those who are watching so there are two ceremonies that is the passover or the feast of the unrelevant bread and the dedication of the first bones that is what is recorded in chapter 13 verse 1 all the way to verse 16 and they said that you have got to do the ceremony of the unrelevant bread or what we call holy communion these days in such a way that you met the young people who did not see this act in egypt to ask you a question so in other words make them a public event do it in such a way that people ask and if i read verse 14 commenting on the feast of unrelevant bread verse 3 to verse 10 and the law of the first born the dedication of the vast born verse 14 says so it shall be when your son asks you in time to come saying what is this that you shall say to him by strength of hand of the lord brought us out of egypt out of the house of bondage and it came to pass when pharaoh was stupon about letting us go that the lord killed all of us borns in the land of egypt both the first born of the un of man and first born of beasts therefore i sacrificed the lord all males to open that open the womb but all the first born of the sons i redeem in other words he was told when it comes to the dedication of the first born please make sure you do it in such a way that your children asks you daddy what is this what is this that you are doing then you are able to tell them the mighty hand of god how he helped you from egypt and by killing and sacrificing the first bonds then you are able to go out of the and the the the the place of your slavery and that is egypt so that is what it was saying so they were doing it in such a way people ask and i know there are people seated here in new life church and also people who have tuned in online and they're asking what is this members of this church are asking what is this what is this ceremony of course what you have seen is the ordination of elders maybe you have never had opportunity to have ordination of a pastor or pastors and today you may be asking what is this and as pastors according to number numbers chapter 18 it says even ordination of ministers gospel ministers should be a public event done in the eyes and watching of people so that they ask what is this and then the past of the officiating gives a rationale and at this time i want to give the rationale of what we are going to do today so that when you go out of this service after the service after the ordination you are able to explain what you saw in church this book i have is called seventh-day adventist minister's manual and on page 83 it says adventists teach that ordination is the church at large setting aside its ministerial leaders let me read once more adventists teach that ordination is the church at large setting aside of its ministerial leaders in other words the charge comes together the judge in this case is the charge in south nairobi gagiado field and the seventh day adventist worldwide but because our people cannot come to see how we are setting aside the ministerial leader called pastor andrew yambaner we are going to represent the church at large and we are going to participate together in setting aside the ministerial leader by the name andrew nyambane in some instances we do a number of people but today we have one so it is not a service for pastors doing something to their fellow pastor the service is for all of us it is all of us seated here representing the church in nairobi south nairobi field and the church in east kenya union conference and the church in east central africa division and the church the worldwide church of the seventh-day adventist church we are participating in setting aside the ministerial leaders of the church so today we are going to add into the ministerial circle one more leader who is going to do what i'm going to tell you he should do so it is our service it's not a pastor service it is the children's service who have come here it is the young people's service who are here it is the women and men's service who are here it is the pastors service who are here it is the administrator service who are here it is the guests who have come here from various places to witness this that's why ordination is a very very special occasion because that's when the church in its representative nature comes together to set aside their ministerial leaders and so what i'm going to do is i'm going to read the verse that was read to you before i say a few words then we come to the actual act of dedication on your behalf and you will be witnessing that today the 30th of january the last sabbath of the first month of the year the year 2021 of our lord jesus christ we have done an ordination after the nation paul says this works and today i will use paul's experience that he had to say a few words to put in perspective today's service before we do the actual dedication the topic will be before and after before and after the two faces of our gospel minister let me read acts chapter 20 and verse 24. and it reads but none of these things move me nor do i count my life dear to myself so that i may finish my race with joy and the ministry which i received from the lord jesus to testify to the gospel of the grace of god before and after the two faces of the gospel minister let us pray our dear loving father as we go into the bible to see and put in place the background to an ordination ceremony today help us and open our eyes so that we can appreciate today's act of setting aside pastor andrew nyambane to a special and higher calling that you have extended to him help us to appreciate everything as recorded in the bible and as i wish i read today because we pray in jesus name amen before and after when we look at the story of paul he gives us two phases of his ministry and that was one before hands were laid on him and another after the hands were laid on him so that i want to bring those two faces of ministry in the life of paul so that you understand that that's what we are going to do and at the end of it you will see us challenging pastor andrew nyambane to have transitioned from the first face to the second face if he has or not already done it because ordination is a transition from the first phase of ministry to another that is why after training after ministerial training like the one that we we we listened read here we do not ordain a pastor immediately we give him a period to decide whether he wants to become a pastor before we ordain him in the gospel ministry because is our serious business is not something that we are going to do that you are going to joke with that is why we give a pastor five solid years and for pastor yambane you had he has finished seven years as a minister serving preaching and all these things that he has done conducting evangelistic campaigns and everything we want to give him this opportunity because today after we do this then we should have made a covenant and not we are going to die and not only god and andrew can untie and destroy because once we ordain person yambane it's only him who can invalidate that ordination the union president cannot do it the field president cannot do it nobody is going to do it unless he himself invalidates it or destroys it that's why we give him five years now i want you to go to acts chapter 26 after chapter 26 and paul was fond of speaking of the two faces and comparing them and telling people no you must know that i moved from the first phase of ministry to the second one you can see that one in acts chapter 9 it is repeated in acts chapter 22 it is repeated in acts 26 it is repeated in 1st timothy chapter 1 verse 12 to 16 and it is repeated over and over again in all these letters he always spoke of his ordination which took place on the way to damascus that damascus experience as we shall read was the ordination was the dividing line was the transition line from the first face to the second face and paul always started his any serious discourse by referring back to his ordination that day he always referred to their damascus experience on verse 26 minute chapter 26 as chapter 9 explains chapter 22 explains but i want to be hoping uh between chapter 26 chapter 22 chapter 9 then i will make a point verse 12 says these words while thus occupied so paul is saying he was a busy man he was occupied he had a lot of work to do and now he was saying wild occupied this way while thus occupied as i journeyed to damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests at midday o king along the road i saw a light and paul is saying that seeing the light changed everything about his ministry i saw a light and this is what before he saw the light and transitioned from phase one of ministry to phase two let me say what he says he was doing before he saw the light and then i will come to that light we will know what that light was but he has introduced that the dividing line the departure line the turning point was seeing the light and that changed radically the whole ministry that paul was doing after the second one and that's what we are going to do that today when we ordain new person yamban we are saying if you have not transitioned please transition if you have transitioned we shall confirm that what was paul doing before he saw the light here it says verse 9 indeed i myself thought i must do many things contrary to the name of jesus of nazareth that's what he says that he himself was determined to do anything contrary to opposed the name of jesus christ why because at this time he knew that the denomination the the religion then that was and that was judaism when jesus christ came here he turned judaism upside down and crushed it and removed it from the arena of religion and pushed it out and replaced it with christianity which was represented by jesus christ and paul says whoever seemed to abandon the old religion judaism and accompany himself meaning and um align himself to the new one that of christianity i was determined to oppose it was occupied in opposing the name of jesus christ because it came and it was contrary to what he believed because he believed in abraham he believed in ancestry he was very passionate about lineage where he came from he was interested in what the heritage that that judaism gave him if you read in the book philippians chapter 3 beginning from verse 5 on he says i tell you before i met jesus christ i was proud of the heritage of judaism judaism was the only one that made sense why because it gave me the bride that made me who i was and he mentioned a few things he was talking about uh being a jew as opposed to being a gentile and he was telling the church of philippi and said you people listen if we come to exchange cvs i'll beat you hands down he gave them an example i was circumcised on the eighth day now you philippians tell me when were you circumcised the answer is they were not circumcised anyway so he said you see i'm far ahead of you because i was not only circumcised i was circumcised according to the law eighth day let's leave that i am a pure blooded hebrew from the language of benjamin and you know some of you may not know what he was saying about i know you know that jacob had 12 sons but the 12 sons came from four women and of the four women there was only one official one and that was rachel and because a hebrew man could not identify himself with a woman he said i come from benjamin but what he was saying is let me tell you that i am a pure blooded hebrew even when we move from gentiles and come to israel i'm better than zablon because zablon came from a maid i am better than ruben because reuben came from leia who was imposed on jacob i can't compare myself with judah because judah comes from silica the other woman but when it comes to me i come from i am a son of region who gave birth to joseph and benjamin therefore i am a pure blooded hebrew you know he was talking about the heritage that judaism gave him and why he opposed anybody who was challenging judaism said you can't he said when it comes to zeal passion of serving god i'm a pharisee you know some of you think pharisees were bad people when it came to religion actually pharisees were the people who are the leaders even those days you said i am passionate about religion as passionate as a pharisee you say the point so he's telling them when it comes to zeal about religion i'm a pharisee you know what pharisees did they observed the rules so much that they could not violate the law of god in any respect let me give you an example did you know that our pharisee could not eat an egg laid on saturday why simple the bible says you shall not work on sabbath and according the pharisees the hand labored on sabbath to lay an egg and so a pharisee could not eat an egg laid on sabbath that's why he's saying when it comes to zeal i'm a pharisee you know he's talking about the heritage that judaism gave him he was proud of his ancestry he came from benjamin he was proud of the israel of serving god because he was a pharisee he was proud of [Music] his cleanliness because he was circumcised on the eighth day but he said wait and whoever challenged this religion he says here i was determined to destroy that person he was not a murderer he was not a zeroth because zeros were political activists no he was a pastor and he was preaching someone whenever he saw people going astray from god to following jesus christ somebody who died on the cross of failure according to him he persecuted he even killed so you know that is what you are seeing so verse 9 says indeed i myself thought i must do many things contrary to the name of jesus of nazareth these are also deep in jerusalem and the men of the saints are shut up in prison whoever challenged this religion he shot them in religion in in in prisons then verse 10 uh verse 10 says that's what i've written and then he said having received authority from the jew priests and when they were put to death i cast my vote against them now this is what he was saying this is what he was saying i was committed to this kind of religion making sure i kept it pure because it is the one which gave me identity judaism and then it goes on to say on verse 11 and i punish them often in every synagogue and compared them to blasphemy and being existingly enraged against them i persecuted them even to foreign lands now he says now while thus occupied jesus intervened jesus came in and changed the whole thing and made him transition from the first phase of ministry to the second phase of ministry what happened says why thus occupied while doing all these things while defending religion with my might while making sure that judaism is peace jesus intervened and he says i saw a light from heaven brighter than the sun shining around me and those who journeyed with me and when we had fallen with we had fallen to the ground i had a voice to me saying in hebrew language so so why are you persecuting me it is hard to kick against god's verse 15 so i said who are you lord and they said i am jesus who has appeared to you so cumber this was not a mere light it was not shining light from the sun it was not shining light from any light at visual touch it was jesus christ himself and brothers and sisters i want to tell you that in the form god has shown himself in the form of fire in the form of light so it is jesus christ here so when paul says o king along the road i saw a light inside you are saying along the road i saw jesus christ so jesus came there and appeared to him and it made him change from the first face to the second face and that is why the topic says before and after paul has described what he was doing before and later he would simply say i did all these things in ignorance brothers and sisters ignorance can keep a minister of the gospel operating in the first phase hour is life until you retire or jesus comes a second time and you will hear a voice saying i never knew you it is until you are moved from the first phase the second that it will make sense and so he says i moved there when jesus came there he gave instructions it goes on to say and when verse 15 so i said who are you lord he said to me i am jesus whom we are persecuting verse 16 but rise understand on your feet jesus is saying you have crossed chapter one of your ministry you are on chapter two you have crossed this side of ministry to the other side or the nation is like a river where you are standing at the bank you are now going and by the act of this you are going to cross the other side and begin what it is here so paul says jesus instructs him what he will do henceforth after he had been ordained what he was going to do henceforth then verse 60 says but rise and stand on your feet for i have appeared to you for this purpose to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and the things which i will reveal to you so paul is told you know i am acting like a transformer i cannot reveal all myself at once i will blow you up but i have revealed myself to you you go and serve me now but as you serve me i'll be revealing myself to you so you go and be a witness of the things which i have referred to you now and the things i'll reveal to you as you serve me and that is what jesus is saying that god is revealing things to you jesus christ is revealing things to you begin doing them after today and then from and do only those things with jesus christ will be revealing to you as you serve him let me go to verse chapter 9 chapter 9 of acts and then make that point verse five simply it is that as i joined it that's what he said while thus occupied verse three then he goes on and then let me read verse 6 so he has paul trembling and astonished said lord what do you want me to do you know before he never asked because his religion had taught him what to do this time he's asking god tell me what do i do and we are ordaining abandoned today with all ordained ministers that from today on do honor those things which you have asked christ to reveal to you have an inquiring attitude what do i do from here so he says what do i do verse 7 and the man who journeyed was speechless and had all these things then now was uh verse 10 now there was a certain disciple at damascus named ananias and to him the lord said in a vision ananias and they said here i am lord so the lord said to him arise go to the street called straight and inquired and inquire at the house of the judas for someone called saul of texas for behold he's praying verse 12 and in our vision he has seen a man named ananias coming and uh and putting his hands on him so that he may receive his sight you see under and put your hands on him and ordain him then there was a conversation but verse 17 says ananiah decided to go and he says and ananya went his way and end at the house and laying hands on him as we shall shortly do brother saul the lord jesus who appeared to you on the road as you came has sent me that you may receive your sight and fulfilled with the holy spirit immediately fell from his eyes something like skills and they received his sight and at once and they rose and was baptized and they received and ate that now verse 20 when everything has been done when we shall do this all the skills are going to drop from your eyes that the skills of tradition the skills of your cultural orientation the skills of your political alignment they should drop today and you remain with one vision and that's the vision of jesus christ it dropped all these things which made sense i am circumcised the eighth day it dropped i am a virus it dropped i am from benjamin it dropped and i remained with one to one thing and verse 20 when all these skills of of laziness of indifference of a wrong attitude about ministry of a wrong attitude about people and members young to serve of a wrong attitude against your leaders and leadership of your ministerial friends they are going to drop here you are going to remain with one thing and verse 12 says when the skills of all that made sense before dropped the stream says immediately not later on immediately he preached the christ in the synagogue that he was the son of god immediately when all these things have dropped down where you come from drops down what you have or you don't have drops down where your orientation comes down what the attitude you had with your leaders with the organization with the seventh-day adventist church drops down that is why we gave you five years to determine whether you want to be an ordained minister in the seventh-day adventist church and we are going to charge you to be loyal to an employing organization we will not expect you from today has thought that you can be reporting to any other church than the seventh-day adventist church you are not going to report to any organization other than south nairobi field after reporting to the lord jesus christ who called you now here it says immediately when these skills of what made sense before you just dropped oh he preached christ immediately verse 21 then all who had him were amazed and said is this not the one who destroyed the those who called on this name in jerusalem and have come here for the purpose so that he may bring them bound to the priests see even the people recognized the change and they were missed before yesterday a few hours ago he was a cussing man a few hours ago he was a furious man he was arresting people and then sending them to jail he was not happy but today he's preaching that jesus christ is the lord is no longer arresting anybody is no longer forcing anybody to prosper in christ they were missed and in yambana let people be amazed the change that is going to take place in you from today henceforth so what happened he went there i was 22 but saul increased all the more in strength and confound the jews who dwelt in the mascot proving that this jesus is the christ you know now he has moved from from preaching about benjamin from preaching about circumcision from preaching all these things now he has stunned and said it is jesus christ and him crucified all other places you read first corinthians now this vocabulary he received was in his mouth all the time to the to the corinthian church he writes in 1st corinthians 2 verse 2 he said brothers and sisters when i came to you i desired to know nothing else than jesus christ and him crucified in the and the elders of ephesus the elders of ephesus he said none of these persecutions none of these difficulties none of these troubles i'm getting yes i have been stoned because of jesus christ i have gone i have been imprisoned because of jesus christ you know it became dangerous now the hunter became the hunted you know it was hunting for people who were talking about jesus christ now he became the hunted whenever he raised the name of jesus christ there he was arrested but he says none of these things move me nor do i consider my life what anything except one thing to testify to the gospel of god's grace that's what he says that's what makes sense to me [Music] that's what he's saying in philippians verse 7 he says but what things were again to me [Music] those things which made sense to me that of aligning myself to my to my to my religion judaism that which made me to align myself to to my lineage the jews that made me proud that i was above everybody else when they dropped he says those things which were again to me these i have counted laws for christ says all these things you are going to count many things as lost verse 80 says yet indeed i also count all things lost for the excellence of the knowledge of christ jesus my lord for whom i have suffered the laws of all things and the counter must rubbish that i may gain christ and be found in him not having my own righteousness which is from the law but that which is through faith through christ's righteousness which is by which is from god by faith verse 10 that i may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his suffering being conformed to the death if by any means i may attain to the resurrection from the dead you know now the language has changed it has changed from judaism to christianity it has changed from his ancestors abraham benjamin jacob to jesus christ is live i said all these things which formed my cv i flash them down the toilet so that i can receive jesus christ and this excellence and that is what is going to happen today you are transitioning from the fast face pastor ambani you may have come here and you have beretted what you studied in college you may have told people about all that you studied about your greek that you did first click intermediate greek advanced greek or with the distinctions you may have braided yourself for passing hebrew intermediate advanced with all grades you have been telling people about your ability to preach and your english or israeli or mother tongue whatever it is those made sense because that's what college told you about how to interpret the bible what tools to employ those things are skills which must drop from your eyes today and you remain with only one thing jesus christ and him crucified and all your life you are going in your personal life in your family life in your congregational life in your field life in your ministry to determine to uplift jesus christ and him alone for he has promised and i if i'm lifted up i'll draw all men to myself you are going to have this word here you are going to be passionate about jesus christ until people can say like they said in acts 15 verse 5 that those people who have turned the world upside down have come here also whichever district you go lift up jesus christ and he will turn that world that district upside down don't go to use your your methodologies your strategies whatever you learned in college and what you have gathered this experience as a literature evangelist and all these things yes you may go with all those slogans employed by by publishing all those things some of the tabu patama riva those who do things are good but those are not the ones which are going to turn the world upside down we may just be doing all these things it is uplifting jesus christ and preaching him alone that makes you a gospel minister and remember we are doing ordaining you as a gospel minister you are going to serve as a gospel minister nothing should come nothing should occupy yourself nothing should demand your resources except the gospel of jesus christ and that's what we are going to do and may god bless you bless the church that you are serving in athena bless the church in south nairobi kajado field bless the church in east kenya union conference and indeed in the entire world because into their circle they have got one person one pastor who have been separated for the gospel and the gospel alone may god bless you in jesus name now i want to ask ordained pastors concerned ordained pastors who are amongst us and if you are very sure you have been faithful to your own nation please stand up and work here so that we can we can now do the act of ordination these are pastors who have done this they want to do this thing on your behalf the setting aside of him as a gospel minister his mouth is not going to talk of anything other than the gospel minister you can surround them now just follow it ah in between so now what we are doing these are ordained pastors who are present here and several others who will be there we shall of our word of prayer dedicatory prayer as an act of ordination hoping that as it happened with paul symbolically it will happen to andrew all the scales of tribalism or the skills of all kinds of isms will drop all the skills of alliances and all these things will drop and you remain with only one alliance and that is jesus christ and him crucified that's the kneel down let us pray our dear loving father in heaven at this hour we come before your presence as you we have been together from morning and day this time you have given us an opportunity to listen to your word father we want to praise and honor you because of your greatness and the work that you've done especially through your word that these things be done such that people will be able to ask what is this that you are doing we are doing the work that was begun long ago and at this hour you have set your servant aside and in a special way as the messages come to us through the experience of paul when the scales were dropped out of his eyes he began to do your work as you led him by your spirit and in a very special way lord we want to ask that you'll be able to touch your servant pastor andrew jambone and his family as he has been doing the work maybe with these efforts that does the scales drove out of his eyes he may be able to do your work that will be able to approve and honor your name we know you have called him the way you met him and the way you called him he accepted to be a child and at this moment he has been a sir he has been serving and has served for the last seven years in the district calling your children into your fold under this hour in a very special way you are putting him in another step and in a special way as gospel ministers as we place our hands on his head we want to ask that you'll be able to use him and continue to empower him through your spirit that he can serve and many more may be brought to your fold we know you'll be able to use him mightily that he might not be involved in other activities that deter the work in your service you see him that many more people may be able to say this man has been with the lord thank you for the message that has come to us through your man's servant that that warns and gives a message that is going to bring many more to your service continue using him and the family that father in heaven wherever it will be and wherever you want him to be let him be a good instrument of your service bless each one of us to this end is a sincere and humble prayer in jesus name amen yeah now we want to we want to judge him we want to judge him and four of us will charge him then there will come the world coming and then the ladies will come and church not judge but welcome the spouse to this so pastor andrew yambaner i charge you to minister as a servant as a servant make the master your life long steady know what you teach but first know whom you teach by spending time with jesus you will become like jesus for it is by beholding that we become changed a disciple is not above his master nor a servant above his master it is enough for a disciple that he is like his teacher and a servant like his master like jesus live simply let this mind be in you which was also in christ jesus who being the form of god did not consider the robbery to be equal with god but made himself of no reputation taking the form of a servant you therefore must endure hardship as a good saudia of jesus christ no one engages engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier i i judge you to minister as a servant but i charge you to minister as a shepherd jesus said i am the good shepherd the chef the good shepherd gives his life to the sheep the hiring flees because he is a hiring he does not care about the sheep be shepherd not hiring work for the sake of the sheep not for the sake of mere money love christ supremely and he will help you to love is stop on we worship as he loved them be gentle to all able to teach patient and remember your own family is the first flock you are charged to shepherd i charge you to serve as a servant may god help you master pastor pastor i judge you to minister as a watchman as a watchman warned so you son of man i have made you a watchman for the house of israel therefore you shall prepare you shall hear a word from my mouth and want them for me when i say to the wicked o wicked man shall die in his iniquity but his blood i will require at your hand save them as i live says the lord i have no pleasure in the death of the wicked but the wicked turn from his way and leave turn from your evil ways for why should you die or out of israel as a watchman when jesus said you do not use me but i judge you and appointed you that you should go and repair the fruit and that your fruit should remain i judge you therefore before god and the lord jesus christ will judge the living and the death at his appearing and his at the uh and his kingdom preach the word be ready in season and out of season convince rebuke exult with all wrong suffering and teaching but you be watchful in all things ensure affliction do the work of an evangelist fulfill your ministry i judge you to minister as a watchman [Music] i charge you to minister as a teacher teach pastorally by training on your members to be leaders and the things that you've heard commit these two faithful men will be able to teach others also second timothy chapter 2 verse 2 teach intelligently by being a lifelong reader of books and the student of the world study to show yourself approved unto god a workman that needed not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth second timothy 2 15 teach doctrinally if you instruct the brethren in these things you'll be a good minister of jesus christ nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed take heed to yourself and to the doctrine continue in them for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you first timothy 4 6 and 16. teach plainly and practically so that even little children listen and understand take heed therefore unto yourself and to all the flock over which the holy ghost has made you overseer to feed the church of god which he has purchased with his own blood acts 20 12 i charged my pastor my fellow minister and elder pastor yambani andrew i welcome you on behalf of south nairobi cultural field and the world church thank you be loyal to its leadership make use of its services to assist in your work never lose sight of our mission of having the everlasting gospel to preach to the those who dwell on earth to every nation tribe tongue and people revelation chapter 14 6 i welcome you i welcome you on behalf of your fellow ministers i welcome you on behalf of your fellow ministers pastor andrew jabani every problem of frustration you will ever face has already been faced and successfully worked through by other ministers choose one as your pastor let your fellow ministers minister to you pastor andrew my friend i welcome you on behalf of the congregations you will serve they are entitled to expect much of us it is an inspiration and a comfort to remember that their prayers are said in our behalf as in turn we look to them as co-workers in soul winning as a soldier of christ will not be without bruises and scars none of us can escape them but when at last we start in victoria's on the sea of glass with those for whom we have labored the nails cared hard of our commander will rest lovingly upon those scars to us our scars will seem so small compared with his as we hear him declare well done good and faithful servants you are faithful of a few things i will make you laura of many things enter into the joy of your lord that is matthew chapter 25 first number 21 thank you sister eunice i welcome you to the family of women whose husbands are ordained to the hospital ministry of the seventh-day adventist church welcome welcome to our team ministry with your husband in aden it took both adam and eve to represent the image of god adequately in pastorate it takes both the strength of a husband and the sensitivity of a wife to represent christ to the church fully your husband's ministry needs you whether he has yet learned it or not to whatever extent you are able work with him to develop a team ministry fulfilling to you both your unity will be an example to the youth an attraction to unbelievers and a source of help to those seeking counsel welcome sister eunice i welcome you to a ministry of your own you must not be expected to do everything in the church and maybe even your husband expects of you there will be some things you do not feel able to do nobody should be expected to do everything but every church member can do something and so eunice i encourage you to find your own place of ministry and feel it do not try to be all things to all the people around you but do consecrate yourself to being all that god wants you to do welcome sister eunice welcome to the problems of our minister's wife loneliness and isolation resulting from too many moves too few roots and uncertainty whether or not it's ok to have close church friends 2 feelings of inadequacy fearing you will not always smile when you should say the right words or have all the gifts members expect three longing for privacy while living in a fishbowl continually expected to be a role model for others when you are sometimes not certain who you really are yourself wiping away the tears as you pray for the people who do not respond to the ministry offered to them another one tight budgets and tight surgeries the last one tensions when you want to shout defensively because your husband is under attack and all you dare do is bite your lips welcome chevale's eunice welcome to the pleasure of a minister's wife living with a man who though imperfect intend to be dedicated as a christian being as much as a part of your husband's work as you choose to be offering the gospel to the people the only thing the world that can really answer all their needs feelings of accomplishment in a cause that counts being needed my sister eunice once again welcome to the pleasures of a pastor's wife understanding that living to serve though sometimes frustrating brings life's greatest satisfaction knowing your members love you and many pray for you daily finding that jesus never fails and that you can trust him knowing that god planned for this day before you were born he has not brought you here to fail but will make you make available everything you need to do everything he wants you to do eunice once again my sister please remember that your fellow ministers wives are praying for you we offer
