account and logged in you will see the home page you like this so let's take a look at it what sorry what Oh Riley has offered us on the top of the page it is on our radar which is basically book or video recommended by the irregular in platform editors and on the right side is your browsing history you will see here I have I have been reading Big Data demystified which is very likely to be the first book I recommend it on this show then you will see life online training so basically life online training as title suggests is the real time training sessions they are most likely to be two or three hours long and you can choose one let me choose one of them and show you the process you see here and check this one building your link link network back happens show you will see here is the scheduled live session time we should will change to your local time if you're seeing here is 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. it's not actually cstp CST because it's actually reflects my time zone which is in Shanghai so unfortunately it's why I haven't been using live online training for that much because most of the sessions are in mind like a very like late time or even like early morning time which I can't really take much make much use of it but most of them are really insightful and you can see here you have us see the contents and well the instructor background and schedule and sometimes they will provide you with you or with specific materials that you can read before you attend in this life training which we are make it much more useful if you sign up this course you will see his add to calendar you will have the ICS file that you can easily import to your Outlook or Google Calendar that reminds you before the session opens so since I'm not definitely not attending this one let me just withdraw from this course so someone else could attend it okay so last life Armour training it work have a lot of topics from you see here is basically from Python coding through innovation to protect management to communication and here game machine learning models and stuff like that so you will have online session and group chat and session Q&A so it depends on whether you have the time to attend these kind of sessions then we have learning paths so learning paths are basically combination of books videos and other resources that the editors have compiled for this specific topic so let me click this whines computer vision project projects with Python hands out you will see here basically you will have three hours almost four hours of videos from the computer TV project with a price on three and then advanced TV projects so basically two video courses combined two into one which are very good for those who wants to learn something from the very beginning will have a very structure understanding of a certain topics so these kind of learning passes are usually more tech specific it's usually around the Python or other programming software but that's not it's exactly the case but you can like take your time and look if you have something that in return that can meet your requirements and then we have case studies so case studies are basically industry experts who coming and showcase there are specific topics so each case studies is around I think around one hour so for example the one I clicked is how uber used the natural language processing and deep learning it's presented by I think it's super rare labs i elapsed so basically legend language processing and deep learning to improve cosmos distraction which is something i ought to be really interesting in reading case studies are mostly from like real world becoming it you can see here uber IBM MasterCard and other other companies so the one I really enjoyed this one how cities and the excreta more effective data-driven so Civic specs basically the data annex team that worked on or during work on obama's reelection campaign and they use they talk about because obama proposed is a see a bill and they try to reach those people not covered by by medical insurance so it's very interesting how they use survey and report data to map out these areas that we take and send out targeted of the heisting so very interesting and then we only for you basically are the recognition engine for the aluminum platform but i have to say this is one of the veggies not really working out working quite that well for me because for the recommendation to work you really have to give let me give more user input and I'm not really sure I the data they have using to create this recommendation is really relevant to what I've been reading recently because I've seen this the Phoenix project book which sorry I don't really have the interest to click on to see what is really about but I have seen this book being here for a long long time and I have been reading continuously and I think it's something they really should spend more time working on that and the one I really used a lot is the recent added because part of my habit is each of week I really like to just open this tab and see what surprise that already can offer me in the latest edition I think yesterday when I try to create this show already just put like 10 or more pages of books from the Harvard Business Review let me just click on one of the data pages it seems they they have been reading adding a letter like 10 or more pages new content which which is great let me just jump to page 12 still I'm not seeing seeing the HBR stuff let me check okay so Wow so they have adding like over 20 pages of new books during the last 24 hours that's amazing so what I'm trying to show here is yesterday I was looking at the recent added added books and everything a lot of the books published by Harvard Business Review which is one of the main reason I really enjoyed reading the already learning platform is because the website is seems like to be really concentrated on the technical side you know you would not be surprised because already published publishes a lot of the technical books covering like Big Data Hadoop and the Python and you will not be surprised on that but it also covers like publisher like let me just do a little search here like the it will cover books from Harvard Business Review and and see here you have like more than a thousand books from Harbor business reviews or related stuff and also like probably I've been seeing publishers like MIT Sloan management review so they're more like a strategy side so for me this very good match because I do not want to see just like coding stuff I won't see how it works and how the business are trying to understand like how this new technologies how they work and how they are creating new values so that's something really draws my attention these days ok let me just go back and see the popular videos yo has the title suggest is like popular videos and you can spend more time looking on that and I like to tutorials is something interesting that I think have great potential but I don't think already spend a lot of time working on that yet because what it means is basically you will have a video on the top and you will see - basically the transcript rolling down as the video is showing a plane itself so they were so they also show the code the code process and what you will you see here that structure is this is when start introduction then start using import 8 and running the code and you will see the video at the exact time stem which a very good is kind of working like the data data camp if you are using that service especially interactive way to show you how to learn coding but as I said I don't think this has been updated that often and these some of these tutorials have been here for a long time anyway you know they've got priorities and I'm not I'm really really satisfied with what they have been continuous adding to this library okay and trending mmm tracking is actually more useful than I thought but because I have a very specific interesting what I'm trying to read from O'Reilly so I don't really spend much time looking on that okay let's just go to the menu on the left side and I'll pick a few things for you to really make use of this platform so on a playlist for each book or video or book chapter you can always add them to a playlist so you can read them later you can see here I basically have three main places this one and the projects which data is those books which provides you code and projects and data so you can play and experiment yourself and building this is more on business I had no coding more on strategy and more offerings on the under you know the real world strategy not really not necessarily data-driven but you know I've been it's not my personal playlist I don't really like have a very strict rule on those and here Dana strategy is more talking about how to create value with data annecy have connected to was really focus from DJ Patil who was the chief data officer of the United States of America so he was basically the first one first the CTO of the US government appointed by Obama and see here I've Dennis billion enterprise data excited so because I've been doing like individual consultants work these books are particularly useful for me when I was communicating with like executives across companies okay and on a side and left side you was have history which is basically the browsing history list of books or videos you have been reading on this website and they will keep how much you have progressed you have been made on each book and topics text so all the books and videos are categorized into business data hard work and other texts and once again and this is something that I think already could spend time working on it because I've been seeing a lot of the books wrongly attacked in two categories so definitely something are not data could be like tagged as a data books so that's something you will notice if you read more carefully Learning Path we have cover net conferences those are real world conferences and you are if you register a registered user remember you get a special 25% discount to all the conference's and highlights the personal highlights I mean all the books I've been reading you see big data data mining data science and the digital transformation and HPR series so very diverse very comprehensive a book collection very good it's basically why I'm creating these videos for more people to know because I don't think they they spend that much time marketing because it's just not that only the technical books you and you can take advantage of a lot of other things okay so that's basically it and from the next week or maybe you have time away dude this book on this forthcoming week is the big data demystify is written by David Stevenson is published by Financial Times publishing again he's not a technical book but it covers a lot of ground on big data analytical and AI and I will read talk about this book in the next show thank you for watching
