in 2005 when she starred as Bridget in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and went on to find success on TV playing Serena van der Woodsen on the hit CW show Gossip Girl I had to go I needed to get away from everything please before the American actress ended up with Ryan Reynolds she had a variety of high-profile relationships perhaps most famously she dated her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley who also played her on-screen love interest they split up in 2010 and after that rumors started to swirl that she was linked to none other than Ryan Gosling after photos of the two at Disneyland were before he settled down with Lively in the early aughts he was engaged to Alanis Morissette and soon after that relationship dissolved he got together with actress Scarlett Johansson they got married in 2008 but just two years later they were filing for divorce while both Ryan and Blake were both still in serious relationships they met on the set of Green Lantern which they co-starred in if for once you didn't with something you cared about what's the worst that could happen even while they were promoting the movie together people could tell that they had pretty great chemistry when they began appearing on red carpets to promote their movie more than a few people noticed just how cozy they were just a few months after the film was released in 2011 reports began to confirm that the two were dating so how did this happen I see I always have it may or may not be a coincidence that lively and Reynolds both ended serious relationships at the end of 2010 and will probably never know whether it was based on feelings they had for each other what we do know however is that while they were both single they somehow ended up going out on a double date together but with different people we were both single we went on a double date with she was on a date with another guy and I was on a date with another girl and that was the most Awkward date for their respective just like fireworks coming across sparks were flying between the future spouses and it's safe to say that the two other people on the date probably were not thrilled in an interview with GQ Reynolds told a story about falling in love with Lively at a Tribeca restaurant where he asked her to dance with him and the two eventually went home together doesn't that just sound like something out of a rom-com he's my friend first and foremost still you know not just not just in our history but but in everyday life he is my friend first and that's I think that's the secret to to happiness in the second half of 2011 more and more publications were claiming the two were a couple with a variety of photos being released of the two of them together the ones that really confirmed it though were pictures of the couple in Vancouver over the holiday season where they were seen holding hands in a public market and were allegedly paying a visit to Ryan's parents less than a year after those photos were released blake and ryan managed to shock the paparazzi and the public when they announced their marriage on september 9th 2012 unfortunately for us the event was a very private affair and we still don't have many details about it except for the fact that it took place in Mount Pleasant South Carolina at the Boone Hall Plantation we also know that the bride wore Marchesa and the groom wore Burberry but years later we still don't know what their outfits even looked like there are very few photos from the event of which is too bad because we can only imagine how perfect it must have been since they tied the knot the two have made a number of memorable public appearances together and one of our favorites had to be at the 2014 Met Gala lively looked like an old Hollywood starlet with her retro waves and Reynolds was the perfect arm-candy for her in a subtle yet unique suit they also appeared together at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival in flawlessly coordinated black and white ensembles also in 2014 Blake and Ryan made a big announcement when they posted on Lively's website preserved that they were going to have a baby the website may no longer exist but a few months later their daughter James made her debut in December of 2014 since then they've had another daughter in nez in September of 2016 you have a baby at home and you have a baby on the way congratulations in May of 2019 it was her husband is cropped out and another famous Ryan is fronting Center in 2019 for Blake's 32nd birthday Ryan took an entirely different approach instead of posting the standard suite photos of the two of them together he managed to find what must be the most unflattering series of pictures of his normally gorgeous wife and posted them with the simple caption happy birthday Blake Lively not all their birthday surprises to one another Armada just though in August of 2019 Ryan posted about a gift Blake gave him was straight from the heart she had a painting commissioned of Ryan as a kid in
