it's such a fun movie that I don't see anyone going to see this in the theater and walking out and being like oh that wasn't they'd have to be dead inside to feel that right come on there's the quote there's the quote if you don't feel em blood on can you quote your own poster I think you just did shirt specifically for this Jun I love this shirt do you know that was the actual face he made because Alan do you know the story that's Rickman right yeah that's alen Rickman it's it's it's in di hard and when he was dropped off the building that is literally the face he made cuz he was very scared oh my God I watch behind theen C your heart out with his spoon oh he's how about him why why not knif for a dagger or something because it's dull you twit it'll hurt West do you remember that from Robin Hood listen oh yes oh my God yeah that's one of his best roles even though people don't consider it one of his best roles I feel like him and Snape is one of my favorites so I'm going to go Snape this Halloween just cuz I want to say chapter 264 that's my favorite line he says I want to jump into this real quick just because this movie is awesome sorry for the curse but it's deserving did you say bucking no I said I dropped the f bomb you did okay great you said ducking right uh yes that's exactly what I said no I really want to start with congrats I I think this movie works on every level I'm sure you're hearing that from everyone but I like throwing some curves at the beginning we like hearing it though we do love hearing it why is it a bottomless pit of Need For Us cuz you know one review said this movie exists to make you happy and that was just and I thought that we couldn't say it any better we really did try and make something that was the other guy just said this is the movie of the century come on I I I think that's pretty that's a bold statement G to say that that is like I'm not sure I necessarily agree with that watch out L Arabia we're coming for you yeah it's pretty ducking crazy yeah that's ducking crazy I will say though that it is just it's such a fun movie that I don't see anyone going to see this in the theater and walking out and being like guys have done such great roles through your career obviously a few of them meant more than others if you could go and make a sequel to anything you've done in the past uh what would you make and why and for Ryan there's only one right answer and it's called the nice guys he's going to say salmon fishing in the Yemen just love saying that title it is one of the great titles it's one of the greatest titles and and and bound to be a commercial Smash in you are like wait you're going to be running to the theaters to watch Simon fishing in the Yemen um what would you like to see again I already I mean the the obvious answer is Edge of Tomorrow too I knew you were going to say I know you you're an edgy you're an edgy it's true um aren't we all oh gosh to put on that suit again yeah maybe that one maybe they've evolved the suits Maybe maybe the suits are a little maybe there's a little more R&D on the suits next time cuz there wasn't enough the first time next let's do it nice but I was saying you know we came out against Angry Birds Angry Birds destroyed us he's he's still a bit of an Angry Bird about I'm an Angry Bird about Angry Bird got the sequel so you're going to have to talk to them in all seriousness for anyone watching this interview that has not seen the nice guys for the love of God watch it run to watch it it's Heaven it's so good Shan black at his best oh it's so good it's ridiculous um and also best drunk acting you've ever seen it's one of my favorite bits where where where you go come on shoot me shoot me shoot me and then you fall off the you fall off the building it's so good oh no that was so good can you just can you be me in the sequel that would get a sequel oh my God I'm in if Emily were in it it would have happened it's me and Russell Crow it's my dream in all seriousness if you decided that you wanted to be a part of the sequel and they and you and Russell and honest to God we could into it existence do it now we'll do like a Kickstarter green light it this is gold I'm actually going to send this to people at Warner Brothers you think I'm joking but I'm not do it I I'm so in I will turn up for a scene right uh I mikee deluk is getting an email uh right after this when I get home with the footage you know do it on Angry Bird stationary so Ryan I have an individual question for you uh what's cooler singing I'm just Kenneth the Oscars uh being able to get a movie made because you're attached to it or or having Steven Spielberg come up to you because he knows who you are and loved the Fall Guy Steven Spielberg every time double s crazy so you didn't think he was coming to speak to you he was coming across the room and then I was looking I was like there's no way he's coming I don't know Stephen Spielberg he's not coming to talk to me but like a beline for you and then he keeps walking and then I was like I know what's going to happen I'm going to go and he's going to go no not you behind you and I was like okay I'm not going to do this and then I finally he was like right there now I'm being rude if it is me and I went me and he went yeah yeah you and then he said he loved the Fall Guy I love that he loved the Fall Guy so I want to do a part two to this because David told me that what Ste Steven was interested in was exactly what I was interested in which is the opening shot of the movie oh because the opening shot is Fant was just that what it was just the shot huh well no he he asked David how did the shot get made because it's the opening shot is a fantastic Warner that involves the two of you your afraid of heights and some spicy margaritas and a couple of spicy Margaritas guys so being specific though you're afraid I was told you're not a fan of heights not a fan and this scene involves you going up an elevator to go do a a real stunt off involving Heights and you need to play Colt as this Uber confident no um you know you're not nervous about anything but inside you're probably scared shitless oh my God so talk a little bit about filming that scene that wner starts in the trailers I mean it was it's such a it's an amazing shot and it was we I totally got why it had to be this way but it was challenging the whole world and the whole world of being on a movie set the birth of their relationship and all of it but the family of a set the sort of just the Dy it's just the most fun job one of the most fun jobs in the world I think David did such a great job of communicating that that elevator went up fast as well that scared me a little bit when I saw you it was like I was like but it goes up 12 stories and and and then and and then at the end I you know I put on sunglasses because I just I had like terrified owl eyes and I couldn't hide it I was I was managing to keep my shaking down and to keep my body from turning to Stone do you know which bit I had to put these on because I thought and it makes no sense cuz I'm falling backwards anyway there's no need to wear sunglasses do you know which bit kills me is like when you you're kind of holding on to the roope and then you let go and you literally go and was like oh God that bit must have been awful yeah and then I have to try and give the thumbs up and not do that and it was quite a small one cuz that's about all you can muster you weren't doing one of those you know yeah no no shaking there was nothing that might the rig one of my other favorite scenes in the movie is not action it involves uh I'm going to be specific with this it involves Taylor Swift it involves you in the car you're very emotional you're crying and involves you and it's the banter and the chemistry between you two and that scene that is to me one of the highlights of the movie so can you sort of talk about filming that scene and being honest like having someone who's so in the Zeitgeist now part of the movie even though when she signed on it was before all of this well it felt like um who hasn't had a good car cry to Taylor Swift right so it felt like a very yeah like kind of obvious in a way I actually wasn't sure to what lengths you'd go with your car CR so I was when the window went down I was like Wow went to very actually just now they cut to me post cry and there because they didn't want to include the actual cry so wet when but actually it it sparked off the scene in a very funny way that I was like what have you what have you been crying like what's wrong with you and the scene was sort of scripted to a certain extent and then we were able just to improv and that's always the fun part is um cuz he's such a master at it and it's so joyful doing those kinds of scenes with Ryan and you know I think that scene is fun to play cuz it's sort of the aftermath of the fireburn scene so maybe she's a little ashamed about what she did but she kind of loved it as well it feels quite cleansed after it and it's them awkwardly trying to find their feet with each other again it was so such a fun one to and just for an action movie to be able to have a scene like that to have those two things coexist in one place just felt like sort of what makes the movie special listen that scene is awesome and the whole movie is too thank you so much for real you so I
