hey it's Noah from IH Hollywood TV and also joining me is Poppy the popcorn as we get ready to preview an all new movie hello poppy nice to see you and look how happy you look I know why because Universal Pictures their newest movie The Fall Guy is storing Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt and Poppy and I we love Ryan and Emily isn't that right poppy yes that's right now Ryan plays a stunt man in the movie and like everyone in the stunt Community he gets blown up shot crashed thrown through Windows oh my goodness and dropped from the highest of heights all for our entertainment and now fresh off an almost career-ending accident this workingclass Hero has to track down a missing movie star solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job I mean what could possibly go right in this movie uh this movie is set to hit theaters May 3rd but Poppy and I have an exclusive interview with the two stars from the movie Ryan and Emily as we take you on set of the film are you ready for this Poppy I know I am grab your popcorn guys let's [Music] watch the story in a nutshell is that you have our hero of this stunt man played by Ryan Gosling his name is Colt severs he's just getting over an almost most career-ending accident that he had on a film set and maybe the last thing he wants is to be pulled back onto another movie set to reinvigorate his career as a stunt man but the appeal of it is is that his former love Jodie is the director of this movie and so he really goes with the desire to win her back yes the film was about making movies but it's it's really about just real people it's not not about superheroes it's about the people who play them it's about the people who make those films it's Colt is a blue collar hero who's just in a lot of ways you know a regular guy who uh you know having a hard time in his life he's lost his girlfriend and his job and uh he's lost confidence he's just trying to make ends meet and figure out how to be a good person and uh who he is and just dealing with things that we all deal with and uh is the same and really all the characters in the film they're just very hardworking people who are uh doing their best and uh feel lucky to do something that they love hi love it oh my God I was happy to be the first actor to say I did none of my own stunts in this film uh it is about the stunt performers and I was excited to highlight their work and let them do what they do best but it was important that I do some of the stunts just uh first of all for me to understand what on some small level what they deal with every day but also just for authenticity in the film so I have a fear of heights and and I knew this was coming cuz it is called the Fall Guy and we knew that there was going to be a fall but the whole opening sequence is all takes place in a Winer and it leads up to them dropping me 12 stories off of a building I truly don't know anyone who be as captivating and witty and funny and smart and quick witted and yet captures the physicality of that role he's so alive he's so grounded and so loose and he just becomes a hero but the most sort of unwilling hero and it's what makes him all the more lovable cuz he's so vulnerable and he's such a mess and yet you know this expert brilliant stunt man and I think all of Ryan's Exquisite qualities got to kind of blend together into one perfect role for him be sure to check out this American action comedy film hitting theaters on May 3rd thank you for joining Poppy and I and we'll see you back here next time on IH Hollywood TV don't forget to subscribe to all the latest movie content we are sharing with you weekly on our YouTube channel have a great day thank you bye everyone [Music]
