foreign [Music] it's James and Stephanie and we are here with Amy from Winnebago who is about to take us through this new soulless model this is the 36B pocket and it's just launched right now great big space itty bitty RV right so and that's actually a feature it's easy to move easy to park it's 136 inch wheelbase What's the total length on this one so you're at 17 foot 10 inches so less than 18 feet long and I can't help but notice there's already a soulless pocket floor plan so what is different about this one from the other pocket so the elephant in the room is that this one actually has a what bath yeah so no more pooping in the aisle well and there's two floor plans tough to follow that one up isn't it options because not everybody cares so much about the bathroom and so that so now there's two options exactly depending on your needs what else we got so one of my favorite features is the multifunctional dinette you can actually have two additional three-point seat belts so carrying capacity is now four people even with a child seats tether and that's a big deal for families you know they want that three point that extra safety for their kids so it's nice to hear that you're going with three point but that's not all but wait there's more so standard is two AGM batteries but on this pocket we have an additional optional five kilowatt lithium system cool and that works it's not like a like a big jackery thing that you'd pull out of the art it's like built it you're like straight up RV exactly you can plug in from your Shore power charge from the alternator or solar panels even so the alternator cool all right so there's a lot to see even though there's not a lot of floor space to do it and so we're going to crawl all over this thing ready to get to it let's go all right okay here we are taking a look at the passenger side and it's not a very long rig but they did manage to get a porch light out there right and that's something you're going to very much appreciate when you're walking back to your van late at night you can see your way absolutely now here's a running board on the passenger side with the pet Loops front and back yep you're gonna be able to get in your slider from that running board or the front door there yep now here is a table that winnebag has used on a number of different RVs and I like it because even if your van is not level you can adjust it so that the table is level that is such a great feature when you have your drink out there it's not going to roll off the table you will appreciate the drink not sliding off the table definitely now here we go now that little knob right there that is a vent for the gray tank and this fan I guess is white but there are a couple other colors that this is available right there's some sort of cherry color and a gray color but I think we would go with this white yeah I think just here in the desert we would we would do that now a trailer hitch on the back with a seven pin and four pin wiring harness the other thing I noticed on the back is that there's not a lot of RV stuff hanging out underneath there yeah and that's by Design according to Amy they didn't want to have a lot of stuff down there so it's all tucked up in the van right and we'll see more of that when I go underneath the RV there towards the end so here you are taking a look inside the back doors right now this is obviously the bathroom and there are some parts of this that will show kind of is the bathroom and then some parts we're showing here from the outside so the first thing I saw was this big fly screen right so you can close that and then you won't have flies inundating the van as you open the back doors all right and here's a water systems right water water Center so the shower drain pump and water pump up there as well as your fresh water inlet um now that is your gray tank dump valve the gray tank is inside the van and so is the valve although the drain actually comes out over here where you would expect it right that means it won't freeze up on you in cold weather it's it's in the heated space good deal now here's a rather Innovative propane solution there was no tank underneath this is just a regular 20 pound barbecue bottle right but it's on this hinged cradle design so it kind of hinges out and it's easier to take out put back in yeah and it's a 20 pound barbecue bottle you won't have any problem either getting that exchanged at one of the propane exchanges or refilled everybody knows what to do right it's super convenient having this as a tank and you do you can't see it right there but there's gasketing all around that door so it is well sealed off from the inside there's there's plenty of gasketing to keep it sealed up nice another storage compartment underneath here this is just the chassis tool set so that's like the the Jack and the tire irons that's right but there's a little more room in there you can get something else in there you could now I'm trying to show you a Molly panel here but it was kind of behind the fly screen they said well take it down I'm like oh wow it just velcroed up there okay that's handy it was just kind of fun to just rip it out like that um anyway uh Molly panel which is like a modular storage solution and then there's another bag up there which also has Molly straps yeah you can hang all sorts of stuff from Molle panels with carabiners your gear whatever yep now the storage compartment there and that black thing I took out and you'll see me put back is a kind of an exterior shower privacy curtain thing and you'll see me sort of half way to demonstrate that here yeah I like these they've done this on other Vans of theirs we put this curtain rod together add a curtain then you get a little privacy back there whether it's an outside shower or you could even set some chairs there and just have your own private space in that area yeah so there's the there's velcro loops on that and that holds it to the rod and then you'll see when I come around to the side there we go there's some magnets those magnets are really strong too yeah and you just tag and it was a pretty windy day when we were filming this and they held yep and then you take the shower the shower head from up top you put it down right there and there you go oh perfect you're showering outside nobody really needs to see that James you can there you go okay now storing it away is pretty easy they just have these little broom holder like things in there one more thing to show you on the back here are these window shades now these are soft window shades but they are black out they are easy convenient and they work and they're quiet they won't rattle like you know cassette blind might rattle right anyway so that's the window shades okay now over here on the driver's side that's the great tank dump we've seen that before but right above that is sort of an interesting little door into the propane compartment why why is that there it's there so that you can turn the propane tank on and off without having to open the back doors open the propane compartment yeah it's a lot more convenient just to be able to work with your propane right there so there we go good on you there all right next um on the driver's side there is a small window that's a slider window and then below that there's a 30 amp Shore power connection now whether you get the two AGM batteries or you get the the ecoflow power option that's your Shore power connection 30 amps either way and now you're looking at the trim event right there that's for the truma combi which is a combination heater and water heater yep and then the only other thing we've got over there was the was the tailpipe now up to the front of the vehicle uh besides the cool black Grille the one thing I noticed is there's again not a lot of stuff the the rear axle is definitely your low point on that vehicle and that does it for the outside except for what's up top yes interesting stuff up we had to drag out a ladder for this but there is a 45 watt solar panel two of them two Max fan and another 45 watt solar panel over on that far side then moving back the air conditioner 13.5 BTU Coleman mock air conditioner The Quiet One another 100 Watts that's a total of 190 watts of solar power right back right corner there that is the pass-through for the roof access port and a bathroom vent fan all on the roof and they did that without a roof rack so these are all mounted just directly to the roof okay okay now coming into the van the first thing you'll notice is this screen door this is a van lifestyle screen door yeah it's very typical it's got the two zippers you zip it down and then it magnets you you walk through the magnetic opening there yeah and you're you can go in and out you just kind of push it aside and there it goes now this is kind of the overall what you feel when you walk in yeah we like to do this kind of General look whenever we do a review like this just so you can get a feel for what what's about to comment I really like Flex dinette space over there yeah and I was just gonna say I love the flexibility that it gives for this and I know you were all over that extra counter space yeah the galley counter that's more Galley space than we have in our current RV now Winnebago echo which is a larger RV and somehow and it's not because they didn't include a cooktop here's the fridge it's a small fridge it is it gets the job done I guess it does very tiny freezer there yep 12 volt and USB Outlets up above that there's no shortage of outlets in this van by the way and then some 120 volt Outlets there and some light switches the first one is for the porch light we showed before and that's for the overhead lights there and there's that counter and with that counter you could maybe put a microwave there you could build your own storage area there yeah there's lots of space so much flexibility with that space and a cooktop there's a two burner cooktop and that's propane um and it's it's spark ignition but two burner cooktop and a large sink there two overhead cabinets right over the right over the sink they're pretty big they go all the way back to the wall and they've got kind of a decent looking uh strut on the side to help keep them open instead of the magnets that you see in some of the other Vans and those cabinets they look very familiar they're a lot like our Echo cabinet doors and hardware yep right now down below we've got three drawers the first one's a little short because it backs up to the sink but the other two get progressively larger I think you could even get some pans in that bottom one there yeah they're quite large drawers okay now these vents that you're seeing there those are ventilation for the fridge so the fridge won't overheat and has plenty of ventilation to keep things cool all right more Outlets back here 12 volt and USB 120 volts and then that is a light this is your freshwater tank gauge it's like a sight glass with a light yeah I really like this you can just kind of glance at it and see how much water you it won't mess up and then above or above that there is a gravity feel so if you had to fill your fresh tank with jugs of water for some reason that's where you would do it nice now behind that there's the Eco hot system so if you've ever like wasted a bunch of water waiting for the water in your RV to get hot this prevents that you set it to recirculate or preheat and then it will heat up the water while you're waiting for it to get out that's a nice feature all right so this is over by the flex dinette this is some extra storage built in I really like this again with more Outlets we have a whole section coming up later on the flex dinette by the way so we're getting to that right and then above this just we have more overhead cabinets here all three of these are large they are all full depth and they are all having the same the same struts that's quite a lot of storage in this tiny van if you think about it those and then the other three candidates on the other side that's pretty impressive like six feet shorter than like a sprinter or something yeah it's actually quite a bit of storage yeah okay now down below we have the little window I think is where we're going next that uh yeah that we saw from the other side it does open there is a screen there yep and then it also has a little shade like uh yeah just like on the back it's the same very utilitarian but I do like the blackout feature and then in front of that we we have another one and I don't want to say stuff was too lazy to zip it up all the way but but Steph was too lazy to zip it up all the way I'll just say it yeah okay moving forward now um we used to have a ProMaster so we're sort of familiar with the over cab storage in the ProMaster I think they're just some windshield Shades well you know what every little bit helps that's great yep now coming into the cab they have updated this since our since Lance we had who was like a 2015-16 chassis the first update was there's no key so it's a push button start now you just have to have the key in the vehicle you know so there that's not the only update though when I do get it started you'll see that it's got the coolest rear view mirror camera thing rear view mirrors and RVs are hard because there's a lot of stuff you know between the driver's position and the back of the video right a traditional rear view mirror doesn't work very well but this is fabulous yeah and that was the The Clarity and the way that looks is just fantastic there's also some sort of OnStar system those like SOS button to call button up there yep the other cool update USB C outlets in the ProMaster now sounds are a changing that's right we're future proofing the dash nice all right some other control panels here that's the truma control panel we're all familiar with that pretty standard RV control panel for the water pump and then some tank monitoring there for the gray tank and then next to that this is the control panel for the Eco flow okay so this is the optional panel if you get that option five kilowatt better it's kind of an all-in-one thing so there's an inverter there is a Shore power converter it converts battery energy into you know a 120 volt power it's your solar charger it even has like a sort of a DC to DC voltage boost function so that you can charge from the alternator while you're driving I think it charges up to like 1200 watts while uh while you're driving nice so a lot of cool stuff there and it is an option and it's one that we would definitely get if we were getting this because you know I like stuff like this so well it's really exciting seeing this in uh Solas this is a huge deal that this is an option now in this Solace pocket it is and then uh the only other thing that was up there was a little light switch for that light over the cab there so there's that now moving back along the ceiling we've got a max air fan we all know what that is and it was a hot day and we appreciated the max now there's a Coleman mock air conditioner 13.5 K BTU air conditioner a little further back we've got a smoke detector and then now I think we're going to the bathroom and Steph you took the shot and when I saw this I was flabbergasted because wait for it wait for it where are your feet are you standing on the toilet how did you take it no I don't remember there's a wall there it's just my tiny dainty feet yeah that's that's it so now you don't have to use the bathroom with it open we just opened it because it was just a lot easier to film with with it open yeah all right so now here is the toilet kind of a cassette toilet porta potty you can remove it completely so if you wanted to store more gear like skis or something in there you could certainly do that right or you can use that for more shower space yeah awesome this whole van is all about flexibility I love that about this fan so now to shower on the inside you would take that shower head that I had outside and you would put it up top there's a shower curtain I think that's like on a 360 surround shower curtain kind of thing now this is like wine bottle storage or storage for spa towels thinking shoes but it might be weird to have your shoes but hey it's a van it's for whatever you need it to be now what I'm pointing to there that's the roof access port so if you wanted to mount like a star link or a cell booster or something like that that's the port you would use to get to that box on the roof and there's power there to power whatever kind of Gadget it is that you want to put up there I like that there's shelves that are removable in this cabinet too so you can use it however you want yeah and a and a closet rod if you wanted to use that now there's the uh the curtain that we saw earlier for the exterior shower and check this out toilet paper storage I love it that's a lot of toilet paper by the way you could fit in that little compartment right okay now I'm going to show this I'm not going to stand on the toilet this is the medicine cabinet and we put me in the bathrooms because I'm physically larger so you kind of get a sense of how much space there is and storage there some Outlets if you have like an electric razor curling iron whatever even more 12 volt and USB outlets and check out that baby sink the little tiny fixed sink so it's not a flippy Epi sink like in the like a Toronto for example and there's that handle yeah I I don't know what that handles for it's not a cabinet that you open there's tanks back there I guess maybe if you have someone sitting on the toilet while you're going around curves you know they could hold on and there's a vent fan in the bathroom as well and then closing up the bathroom we have this door it's kind of a flexible door so it doesn't have to swing and take upstairs yeah I liked it it was just really easy to open and close yeah and the big reason is it doesn't take up space okay a couple more mechanical things there's your propane detector inside there and then there's your fuse panel and your 120 volt circuit breakers and then if you can believe it above that there's even more outlets now under there that's where the truma combi is and under there that's where the Eco flow is going to live if you get that option if you don't get that option you get storage under there oh and that's nice too who doesn't like more storage and finally we're getting to the star of the pocket show it's this Flex dinette space yeah now there are a whole lot of modes to this and rather than spend a lot of time showing you us moving cushions and stuff we just decided to show you the modes so this is I guess we'll call this two passenger two belted passenger mode yep and then with the seat belts yeah now this I called coloring book mode I wanted to get you like coloring books or an activity that would have been fun unfortunately we didn't have any I like to call this one adulting mode this is being an adult two-person dinette mode I call this Cleopatra mode this is basically adulting adulting mode but with an ottoman yep that just flips up right there now this is I guess super Cleopatra mode because now the ottoman has gotten even okay so you can slide that seed out and then flip up the seat so it's even longer in this mode and it goes even further than that I think yeah there we go it goes even further than that okay you can almost sleep yeah a kid certainly could sleep like that so that's Ultra Cleopatra mode this is four person diet your dinner party mode I guess oh dinner party mode I like that one so there's a fourth seat there you just can't see it there we go now I'm sitting on it so here we go four-person dinner party mode you are there's Emily too we pulled in Emily plenty of space for place settings and whatnot now converting those were table modes and now we're getting to modes with not a table so the table just presses down and when you press it down you get a lot more options in this mode too so I think the very first one we're going to do in this way is is what is this couch mode yeah okay let's call it couch we call it couch mode so there's some adults they're sitting on a couch yeah it's a six foot six inch couch so so you could sleep on it yeah so this would be like I guess after party moment the dinner party's over there you go and so now it's like a sectional it's like it's like Cleopatra mode plus couch mode you've got like an L-shaped sectional there so sectional mode and now it gets like ridiculously long couch I don't know what to call that yeah we don't even know how long but that front wall removes I don't know if you catch that but there was a wall there and now it's gone between the driver's seat and whatever and so this if you have an eight footer that you need to sleep there's enough room this would be the RV for you if you are eight feet tall because look at that there you go I'm 510 I guess on a good day so that's probably quite a bit of feet um all right so now this is basically double bed mode it's actually 75 inches long so it's the length of a regular and it's 53 inches wide so that's plenty good yeah and then we kind of got bored with the regular roses so we made some up this one we call blanket fort mode yes the blanket fort mode is so fun especially when you're 15 and then my favorite wait for it prairie dog mode prairie dog mode they should Market that one prairie dog mood definitely and so what do you do after a hard day of prairie dogging well you crawl underneath the van that's what makes sense okay so what you'll find under here though is not a lot there's no tanks there's no water lines there's no batteries in the ecoflow version you can see it's not riding on the bump stops there so it's not overloaded there's very little RV stuff under here there's a sewer hose storage which is that round thing there and a little box there that's well I don't know what it is they wouldn't let me take the cover off um Mystery Box there's a box anyway there's your sewer hose storage but beyond that there's nothing under here that is really any clunkier than than the regular underbelly of a ProMaster so you're not going to have any difficulties taking this thing anywhere a ProMaster could go so that's our review of the Winnebago soulless pocket 36B Bravo or baby it's a little itty bitty RV it is a little bitty and that's the great thing about it you can fit so much or so much clever use of space inside this RV it's a little bit like the original Solus and then it's very small Nimble but it's also to my it felt a lot more close to a traditional RV and I think that's because of the bathroom and the power options yep it seems to pull a lot from the Travato okay floor plan in the back but just improved upon that even yeah that bathroom it doesn't have the flippy-uppy sink it's got a permanent sink I kind of like that yeah all right so anyway yeah so if you've got comments questions there will be a link in the YouTube description down below it'll click you on over to the fitrv.com you can ask questions there we'll try to get them answered for you and that's gonna do it for now thanks for watching see you later
