Running 13:06 for 5K

[Music] beautiful campus look at the clock tower we're here running a 5k tonight trying to knock out a world champs time 13 13.49 or faster really 4.50 um yeah i think we're gonna do a little bit of pre-race today a couple laps warm it up and then three by one two by two our classic warm up um chill out today maybe kick it with laurie lalang grab some grab some breakfast um and then we race tonight at 7 pm should be an electric crowd i mean people are already starting to line the stands cardinal classic invitational kind of our last thing in this cycle of training and then take a little down time before some big races in the fall in the spring oh my god idiot cut it [Music] you're one of those old people when they get to a stoplight yeah like i can't stop i gotta keep the heart rate up it's going to be good wanted to get this five can while we're all in good shape i think we're in the best shape of our lives we're feeling good going into it ready fresh pear you think anyone has little squishy but overall with it was insanely good that's actually the fastest we've ever done the 200 so we're in crazy shape we did 24 point and then we're a little sore on the second one like 25 mid but um i mean we're running 31s this afternoon so we're locked in we used to have a turtle named tina and in the cage we used to feed it bologna turtles are not supposed to have bone it got so fat it couldn't move anymore so we had to give it back to the pets or get in the packets now um i gotta do my best lowly little laying impersonation and then i'm also picking up for laurie la lange yeah oh he's male 1 i don't see you on the list your name is not on the list what actually but um his name's on the entry list yeah for the race yeah i really do have lashonda okay 287. had some complications i think we got put in like the vip section or something so i gotta get on the horn with lashonda real quick some like me and james don't have bib numbers so i will be racing as loudly lane number 289 um no i got on the got on the horn with lashonda very nice lady she's hooking it up she's on her way over right now uh she's gonna have a word with the packet pickup people they are she was angry yeah they look a little bit a little bit scared in there but now we're gonna get it sorted out not worried about here she comes now [Music] okay i'm using this one though yes okay okay of bacon side of eggs cole's order was i'll have what he's having and got exactly the same thing got my powdered sugar though they yeah your powdered sugar should be coming i had the same thing well i got what i got which is three pancakes eggs and bacon and cole got that as well you gotta sort them out with some butter big day gotta fuel up what james would you get a lot that probably won't finish but down with the big ass hash browns eggs bacon a couple of pancakes on the side [Music] james said ooh he's gonna have trouble with that coming up on the clean plate club wow so when i'm on race day and i actually get like ample fuel through the roof dominic freaking out yep oh my god he's a big man oh no no baylor he's my champion brother storming back looking strong [Music] uh i actually don't care at all but i did have baylor in my bracket so oh he's gonna miss this and one three down lay up and one finesse it in he's going to the line [Music] oh my god crazy comeback i mean you heard it with our boy lowey uh drop off our bibs probably take a nap hang out maybe i don't play some games chill and then we'll head over to the meat later see you there all right just got to the meat uh we're kind of out here roughing it we don't have a tent or anything didn't come prepared so we're just sitting on the mulch but i don't know about a warm up in like 30 minutes go after this world standard it's the name of the game tonight just get her done locking in with the beats by dre see people always see us and they're like these guys these guys got it all we're out here blue collar though no nothing cole's sitting roughing it i mean just doing what we have to do we're out here in the wilderness i think we're like four miles off campus and in the woods somewhere i think this is a redwoods gonna go walk in probably take a uh probably gonna call it there don't say it and take a shot i can't let people know i take shits [Music] a non-believer who don't believe in anything [Music] take it back and forth but it was good got the goal yeah boys working together pretty light day at the office um had some help from uh from the army boys got it done um a couple pr's a couple world
