hello everyone I'm Travis and let's get wander lost on our videos and in real life we answer a ton of questions about the dining and drink packages that Royal Caribbean offers so in this video we're going to go over all of the Royal Caribbean dining and drink packages and what is updated in 2024 to start off we'll go over all of the beverage packages that are available on your Royal Caribbean Cruise as we start talking about drinks aboard your Royal Caribbean cruise I will say that you might not need a beverage package there are included drinks that are part of your crew's Fair these drinks include milk tap water tea hot coffee lemonade iced tea flavored Waters several juices and hot chocolate now if those drinks sound perfectly okay with you and you can go the entire 4 to 7 days or however long your cruise is without anything else then there's a chance you might not want to buy a beverage package you could totally go to the wind Jammer the main dining room or any other venue and just order one of those and be perfectly fine and then occasionally order a cocktail or a mocktail or a beer all a cart and have a really good cruise and save some money now if you're like me and you're not okay with just those simple beverage options then you're going to want to buy a beverage package and you're in luck Royal Caribbean offers four different beverage packages on your Royal caribbian Cruise they go all the way from an ultimate drink package which includes everything and every alcoholic beverage all the way down to a simple bottled water package where they deliver bottled water down to your room so we'll start there the bottled water package essentially gives you a package of 12 or 24 bottles delivered to your state room as soon as you embark on your cruise with these bottles of water you can carry them around the cruise take them on your Excursion basically make it so you don't have to drain tap water and if you run out you can always order another package and have it delivered to your room as well it's simple and refreshing the next step up from that would be the classic soda package which is a personal favorite of mine the classic soda package is anywhere from $8 all the way up to $15 per day and gives you free access to all of the coke freestyle machines and any type of fountain soda at any venue around the ship Royal Caribbean even gives you a Nifty souvenir cup that has an RFID chip in the bottom of it that works with the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines you can even use it at home as well this package does not include cans of soda so be aware of that recently Royal Caribbean made a change to its package offerings and before they used to have a classic soda and internet Wi-Fi package but unfortunately that has gone away about middle of last year so if you want the internet and wanted to save some money you could bundle both together but not anymore now you would have to spend the I guess $10 on the classic soda package and then another $20 usually on the internet package it's a lot more than it used to be but hey at least the starlink internet's better than what it used to be at least you have that going for you now another step up from the soda package would be the refreshment package which is basically the non-alcoholic drink package aboard your Royal Caribbean cruise the refres M package usually cost anywhere from $25 to $35 per day per person the refreshment package is Nicole's favorite thing to order and we usually get it on every single cruise we go on it allows her to order all of the premium coffees with extra shots of espresso uh smoothies from the Vitality Cafe bottled water cans of Red Bull shakes from Johnny Rockets pretty much anything that is non-alcoholic she can order it with that package and not have to pay anything a additional Nicole's favorite mocktails from the last few cruises that we've been on was the Virgin guavarita which is a guava Margarita and the tropical Crush which has uh the tropical Red Bull and a few other things in it she loves both of those and the top tier of the beverage packages would be the deluxe beverage package which basically includes alcoholic drinks and all your non-alcoholic drinks the deluxe beverage package basically includes all of your cocktail spirit Lors beer wine mocktails basically all the drinks that were included in the non-alcoholic packages all the way up to winds by the glass in all of your hard alcohols and Cocktails you can usually find the deluxe beverage package anywhere from $70 all the way up to $100 per day per person on your cruise and if you wanted to order bottles of wine you don't get them for free but you do get a discount it's usually 40% off bot bottles under $100 and 20% off bottles that are over $100 there are some exclusions with the deluxe beverage package you don't get every drink included with it there are some drinks that are really expensive or above the norm for an average real Caribbean cocktail and you would basically pay the difference between what the beverage package gives you let's say it's $15 per drink the drink you're trying to order is $25 there's like a $10 difference and you would pay that out of pocket those instances are few and far between but just double check the menus before you order and one thing to remember about the deluxe beverage package is if you're going to buy it everybody in your cabin over the age of 18 has to buy it as well the only way around this is if somebody in your cabin is sober or pregnant or has a medical condition and then you would have to call Royal Caribbean to get an exemption we do not recommend sharing a deluxe beverage package at all or bending the rules around these exemptions if Roy Caribbean finds out that you're sharing drinks they will cancel your Deluxe beverage package and not give you a refund I don't think it's worth it and as another exclusion if there is a Starbucks on your ship like Symphony Of The Seas has Starbucks is not included in any of the drink packages unfortunately but you'll just have to get a coffee from Cafe promedon speaking of coffee there is the Cafe Select Coffee Card we have not talked about this yet but it essentially is a punch card that has 15 punches on it and each punch represents a coffee drink with one shot of espresso you can use the card at Cafe prominade or the Wind Jammer or Cafe 270 and essentially order any of your premium coffees but just remember if your drink has more than one shot of espresso that'll be more than one punch on your Cafe Select Coffee Card let's say you wanted to drink some other stuff but didn't want to actually purchase a beverage package you can actually bring your own drinks on board with you Royal crian actually allows you to bring 12 non-alcoholic drinks on board with you they can be cans or bottles and they must not exceed 17 flu ounces so yes you can bring your energy drinks your cans of soda anything like that with you and I know what you're going to ask next can I bring alcohol on board and the answer is yes each guest can bring one bottle 750 ml or less bottles of wine on board with you just make sure you put them in your carry-on and be mindful Roy crian does charge a corkage fee if you have them open it in any of their venues on board and as a reminder you cannot bring Liquor on board with you on embarcation day Royal Caribbean will confiscate it and you will not get it back but what about if I wanted to purchase alcohol in a port well when you get back on the ship Royal Caribbean will conf skate that and they won't give it back to you until the last day of your cruise so now that we've talked about all the packages and what you can and cannot bring on board with you on your Royal Caribbean cruise which package should you buy and I will 100% say it depends on how much you're going to drink what me and Nicole do is we kind of do the math in our heads about how much we're going to drink versus how much the package actually costs since we normally buy a refreshment package for Nicole we kind of do the math between those two packages let's say it's $25 per day for the refreshment package and it's $75 per day for the deluxe beverage package that's a difference of $50 and if each cocktail on board the average is about $14 each it would take about four on average drinks to make it worth it for us to get the deluxe beverage package so are we going to drink four cocktails or four drinks per day over our Norm then yes it would make sense to upgrade to the deluxe beverage package if it doesn't in four is kind of a lot then we'll just stick with the refreshment package and just order all a cart with each cocktail we're looking at and if you only drink beer beers are roughly $9 each on board so that would be about6 beers per day I know I couldn't drink that much but if you can then definitely get the deluxe B package it offers you some flexibility where you can order what you want when you want it and is probably a better overall deal for you ultimately our recommendation is to do the math see if it's the right price for you and then just go with your gut and Order what you need all right let's switch gears and start talking about my favorite part of cruising the food now first off we'll say if you have a dining package or not the first thing you should do when when you get on board your Royal Caribbean ship after you connect to the ship's Wi-Fi is to make reservations for the restaurants you want to try the last thing you want to do is get on board and wait and not be able to try mason jar or chops or one of the other excellent restaurants that are on board your cruise the next thing I will also say is that you don't actually need a dining package on your Royal crian Cruise there are usually a ton of complimentary options that you can just save some money and eat there these options include the main dining room the Wind Jammer which is the buffet places like El Loco fresh fish and ships the Park Cafe sarentos Pizza Cafe prominade Boardwalk dogghouse the best thing to do is to check your ship's deck plans and see which actual restaurants are available to you that are at no cost but also if you walk past one of the specialty ding restaurants or one one of them stands out to you like you see the menu of 150 Central Park or hooked or chops and you just want to try it you can actually just go to that restaurant by itself and just pay the allart pricing but if you want to try more than one restaurant then we definitely recommend one of the dining packages that Royal crian offers on your cruise the first package and is the simplest package is the three night dining package which allows you to go to any of the specialty dining restaurants for three nights of your cruise for dinner this package also gives you the Wine Discount that you would get on the deluxe beverage package so 40% off bottles under $100 and 20% off bottles over $100 so let's say you're on Navigator of the Seas and you want to go to J's Italian chops and aumi you can do that with the three night Deluxe dining package just be mindful there are some search charges occasionally so if you want to do the Habachi there's a $115 search charge if you do Chef's Table there's a a $50 surge charge and if you do the Empire Supper Club there is a $130 surge charge all of the dining packages allow you to order a dessert an entree and an appetizer it does not include any of the drinks so make sure you have a drink package for those and if you're going to a restaurant like playmakers that has all aart pricing you'll get a $20 bill credit so just make sure you order enough food to e eat up that $20 the one thing to remember with the three night dining package is that it is only for three different restaurants so if you want to use one of your three on Playmakers you're only going to get $20 of value on that so we recommend using it on some of the other restaurants that are on board your ship now let's talk about the ultimate dining package which basically allows you to eat at any of your specialty dining restaurants for dinner and for lunch on C days this package can be anywhere from $200 all the way up to to $400 depending on what sailing and what ship you're on and again the same wine discounts you can get on the deluxe beverage package you can get on the ultimate dining package and there are still those SE charges so if you wanted to go to Chef's tables expect a $50 sear charge Empire Supper Club $1 130 and if you want to get Habachi it's about a $15 sear charge as well and with restaurants like Playmakers which have all aart pricing you will get a $20 food credit the only time that this is different is with aumi in the park on Utopia and icon of the Seas you only get a $10 credit at those restaurants we had the ultimate dining package on wonder of the Seas you can check out our video on our Channel but essentially every single night of our cruise we ate at one of the specialty dining restaurants including uh chops Wonderland a hooked mason jar it was excellent we really enjoyed all of those restaurants and made the ultimate dining package very worth it for us and remember what I said you can go to the specialty dining restaurants on C days for lunch so we went to Mason jar for some appetizers and we went over to Playmakers to have you know a nice lunch with a hamburger and some chicken tenders so I know what you're asking which one of these dining packages should I buy and I guess it comes down to personal preference what Nicole and I do is we kind of assess the ship so on an oasis class or an icon class where you have a ton of different options getting the ultimate dining package usually makes a little bit more sense than it does on a ship like Voyager of the Seas which doesn't have as many options when it comes to Specialty dining the other thing to take into consideration is if you're booked in a site or not the sweet guests get access to some of sweet restaurants like Coastal Kitchen which in my opinion Coastal Kitchen is as good as some of the specialty dining restaurants so again like I said kind of assess your situation and your budget see what restaurants you want to try versus what is complimentary and basically how long is your cruise and what port you're going to and if you can just do with going to the main dining room and the Wind Jammer this is kind of the what we go through in our heads when we order the ultimate dining package or just go with what we have on board the ship and it usually works out for us now with pricing of the ultimate dining package and the deluxe beverage package or any of the packages that are on board of Royal Caribbean ship what you should do is when you are comfortable with the price book what you're going to book so let's say you're going on Utopia of the Seas and the ultimate dining package is about $250 and you're like yes $250 is definitely worth it to me I'm going to book it and then about 3 months later the price lowers to $200 per person you can actually cancel what you've already booked and then rebook it at the $200 price point so find a price you're comfortable with and book what you're comfortable booking and remember the pricing before your cruise is always going to be less than if you were to book on your cruise for more information on the packages and what you can and can AO order we recommend going over to the Roy Caribbean website and checking it out you can also go on the app and see all the venues that are available on your ship and what type of menus they have so you can be better prepared when you go to order when you finally get on board now that should wrap up everything about the beverage and dining packages that are available on your Royal Caribbean cruise if you have any other questions please leave them in the comments section below and as always make sure you like And subscribe and if you need me I'll be in the Wind Jammer thanks for [Music] watching a
