hello and welcome to just one more watch if this is your first time here my name is Judy and I would love you to subscribe to the channel by hitting the button on your chosen device welcome today to a video that has been brewing up here for many a long month and perhaps you have noticed kind of a similarity between all the watches in my winders today they all look rather a lot like the rolex submariner indeed that one looks really rather a lot like the rolex submariner i've been gathering subby or measures like mad for the last three or four months or so with a view to make in this video today and i've got all the key price points covered $50 $100 $300 $500 and $1,000 this isn't the first video to do this there are a number of good ones out there I'm gonna talk about a couple of them and leave links in the description of the video today as well I urge you to check out as many of those as possible if you're keen on buying a sub your Maj but I hope to bring my own unique little John word twist to proceedings today let's be clear from the beginning if you want the rolex submariner experience you're gonna have to buy a Rolex Submariner there is only one subby after all however you're gonna be paying maybe 10,000 u.s. dollars for it what if you don't have or don't want to spend that much money on a watch how much of the rolex submariner experience the look the feel the accuracy the loon the build quality etc can you get at those various price points that's what we're gonna discuss today so I'm gonna begin with a mini review of the sub e loom video movement accuracy report and then do little mini reviews of the 5 all measures including a side-by-side comparison to see just how much you do or don't get each of those prices including our movement accuracy report and a loom comparison video cuz you know I love my loom alright plenty to get through let's flip the camera and get on with it a fine selection of rather sim looking timepieces on the counter in front of me today so what is present what is absent what have we got here how much of the cost and where did they all come from well let's start with the sabe this is a double one four zero six zero 2018 model no date Rolex Submariner it was a Rolex in the house it does not belong to me sadly it belongs to my friend my mysterious friend mr. X he bought this one in March and he has kindly loaned it to me for a month or so you can expect another couple of videos on the Rolex interestingly enough it's the only one with a date complication here you can get this you know without a date most of the others though eeping the the date with cyclops model that seems to be the one that you go for perhaps if you're rich enough to own a Rolex you're not that concerned with what day of the month it is prices on these ones well I think the list price is around eight thousand US dollars it's certainly over ten grand or Z but good luck buying one a lot of dealers aren't even taking names on the waiting list anymore these generally sell at a premium secondhand about 12 grand or Z should snag you one of these next up is the in Victor now I'm gonna call this as the cheapest model here today this one you can pick up for 50 60 70 dollars if you're lucky on Amazon sometimes to do a scallop bezel one I prefer this coin edge bezel one now the Mickey Mouse dial I have here all the irony I bought this one on Amazon Australia a little more expensive than that because it's a Mickey but the watch is fundamentally the same next we have a lorry or now this is a Chinese special I picked it up on Aliexpress on 1111 these generally go for around a hundred u.s. if you're getting one for any less than that I paid around 70 for this on 1111 so 70 is a good price for one of these pros and cons between these two that we'll discuss later on next up is the Phoebus py7 this comes directly from Phoebus I'll leave a link to their website in the description of the video below 299 u.s. dollars for that one next up we have the squall a1 5 4 5 maxie ceramic I got this one from norm on watches out of Singapore earlier on this year again I'll leave a link to their website in the description there an official squall a dealer 570 us doors for one of those bad boys and last but not least on the end it's this you know ocean rover now this particular combination was made i got a custom one made by Janome for me earlier on this year with the maxi hands the golden sands loon cream date wheel and cyclops i'm not sure if that model is for sale similar models are available for fifteen hundred US dollars but you know always do discounts the 20% deal off so takes that down to about 1200 no they should come closer to a grand so is the top and it's the super or master day if you like coming in somewhere between a thousand and twelve hundred u.s. so that's what's present today what is absent today which pieces are not here but perhaps could or should be here well there's a kind of gap between the laurio and the phoebus to sale marine diver now to sell marine divers are 230 US dollars if you buy them direct from to sell in korea they have a great reputation as packing a hell of a punch for that money ceramic bezel mutant 1915 sapphire crystal and a glide lock style bracelet class however some question marks about the quality of that glide lock style clasp i'll leave a link to a couple of different videos in the description of this one today all lengths from 24 hours at a time he put the Phoebus head-to-head with the tercel said that the sell was great value but the Phoebus was the better watch saw I'm fairly comfortable not having the to sell marine diver on the table today I think the Phoebus is probably the better choice for 300 if you've got that money to spend what else is missing well there's potentially are Steinhardt awesome one fitting in here now stained hearts probably about 400 to 450 US dollars depending on which model he go for Swiss made on the dial and our ETA 28 24 in the case so not a bad deal on paper however 42 millimeters or 39 millimeters so they're not really as much as there are sabi omage there no truly asabi omage in my mind anyway because they're not 40 millimeters so again I'm comfortable with the lack of Steinhart on the table today the lays here it cannot fill that that middle-of-the-road around the five hundred US dollars similarly there's another potential gap here where the divorcer fits in 750 US dollars I'm not really all that familiar with the voices myself another video I'm gonna link you to is guy at just bluefish he did a similar sabi roundup couple of months ago very good one I recommend you check that he does look at the divorce earlier so if you're interested in that piece I urge you to check out his video I think the fact that there's an ocean Rover here though really covers that premium and not sure why you'd spent 750 and knock off up the extra for those you know or drop down to either the squally or the Steinhardt so I'm happy with the pieces assembled here today let's get on with it so this is the one that they all want to look like this is the one that all the others go to bed dreaming of being when they wake up in the mornings the one and only Rolex Submariner interestingly enough though none of the homages have gone with the new kinda maxi case with the big wide logs they've all ate the older style the five-digit so-called self manner rather than this one 40 mil in diameter thickness of just under 13 mil thick so nice and slim on wrist lock tip to lock tip of about 48 millimeters all of the watches today have 20 millimeter log with and this one weighed up on the supplied stainless steel bracelet comes in pretty much that sweet spot for a sports watch 150 grams now it doesn't feature three one six ll stainless steel rolex use 1904 else thinner steel not as hard this one as you can see has got a few Nicks and cuts here and there but it is a more lustrous sheen and it does polish out a little better ceramic bezel insert 128 unidirectional rotating dive time bezel just awesome bezel action as well really sneaky and precise screw down crown 300 meters of water resistance stair i'll case back solid end links and I think the bracelet in the world papers from 20 down to 16 back up to 18 at the clasp and it's got this amazing glycan ISM knot on the fly adjustment you do have to take the watch off in order to adjust it but there's a decent level of adjustment available in the clasp itself so if you are taking this one diving it becomes a divers extension or if it's just a hot sweaty day or a freezing cold day you can adjust the watch accordingly so you always get a good fit on wrist the Loom on the dial the hands and the loom pip is Rolexes proprietary chroma light now it's got that bright blue color a lot of the other watches here will use B gw9 super-luminova to try and replicate the look chroma light though apparently last twice as long as the equivalent super-luminova it's not an outstanding glow initially but it does last and last and last very well applied very evenly applied across all major indices and the hands as well superb now the movement in the sub e is a bit of a Rolex classic it's the three one three zero caliber this one powers a lot of their oyster watches and the Explorer among others just a 300 no date model as discussed on this one twenty eight thousand eight hundred vibrations per hour forty hour power reserve thirty-one jewels cost certified and it's plus or minus two seconds in the case now as you can see this one running over a couple of weeks mixture of wrist time and winder time coming in with less than a second variance how do they do that I guess that's where some of your eight to ten grand is going if you are buying one of these and the dial is just about perfection this ceramic is a sarah chrome Rolex is own super hard ceramic beautiful white gold 18 karat indices so they will not corrode with the inevitable decades that you will enjoy with this watch now the Rolex engraving on the the Rijo dial and the the chapter ring in there again that is a relatively recent phenomenon a little bit unnecessary in my opinion but there you are Rolex crown Rolex Oyster Perpetual and people complain about the four lines of text there just Submariner superlative chronometer officially certified the depth rating Chris made below the six o'clock I don't think the dial is overcooked at all I don't mind that because of the the black beautiful laser-cut hands on here as well very simple but just perfect and it wears beautifully you know wears like a bigger watch I think doesn't wear like a 40 it wears because of those large logs I think it wears like a slightly bigger timepiece as you can see there the little protrusion on the case back just slips into my wrist nicely it does look just gorgeous that taper adding some finesse elegance and refinement to the fantastic bracelet and that's the slightly larger log look from above gives you some perspective on my seven inch wrist so a stunning timepiece then and arguably the quintessential Rolex you can understand why there are several years of a waiting list for these pieces and if you buy one today the chances are it'll be worth more than you paid for it given a little bit of inflation in ten years time I don't you can say that about too many other watches on the table today but who knows perhaps Disney will kill off Mickey Mouse and this watch will be worth a small fortune in the years to come perhaps not though so the Invicta pro diver don't normally come with mickey on the dial they do come in a couple of different flavors you can get to Tom ones blues these black ones scalloped basil I don't like the scalloped basil myself I think that splits the difference between the Omega Seamaster and the Rolex Submariner if you're gonna do a sub your mash then it should have this coin edge bezel as you just saw on the Rolex similar set of dimensions 40 mil 20 ml logs a little thicker at 14 millimeters 47 male lock tip to lock tip again 20 mil tapering a little bit back up to 20 at the clasp not as much of a taper as on the Rolex and size that for my 7 inch wrist this one coming in a little lighter than the roller at 140 grams so it kind of looks and kind of feels like a Rolex but what doesn't it do that the Rolex does well the bezel action is a little bit light and rattle II and the loom well there's the loom comparison there that's my main bug bear with cheap end watches is that they just don't have the funds there isn't money available to allocate to the loom you get a smattering of it on the loom pit the hands and the indices but it's crap but there are plenty of touches letting you know that this one is an in Victor you've got an in Victor logo next to the 9 o'clock index there's an in Victor logo on the counterbalance of the second hand there we've got the invicta ii etched into the side of the case which is not really my cup of tea and we've got the logo embossed in the crown there the crown is a proper screw down model giving this 200 meters of water resistance only a mineral crystal layer so you don't get a sapphire crystal that one is going to scratch off with time but you can replace these with sapphire I think I'll be doing that with Nicky and jus course 3 1 SEC sale stainless steel case and bracelet hollow end links and pushpins in the links but they are solid links the clasp is alright Invicta stamped onto the the buckle itself little fold over safety flick that up it's a press clasp but I'm not complaining too much for the price you pay for these things screw down display kiss back interestingly enough it's the two cheapest today that show you the movement the rest of them don't bother the movement in this though is arguably the star of the show that is a sequel NH 35 e with quite like actually the big yellow Invicta custom rotor now their NH 35 you've heard this a million times from me 24 Jules hacks hand whines 42 hour power serve rugged reliable robust and normally quite accurate this one though is a bit of a disappointment in the winders over the course of a couple of weeks coming in over plus 15 so plus 16 something or other I reckon about 20% of the any study finds that I look at blowout to this degree never great when you get one that does so better fast and slow I suppose but this is the the one of the big attractants is the big draw of the Invicta is that you've got a proven quality see called motor in the back and when the motors not running like this one isn't now can it takes the shine off at a little bit I'm afraid where's nicely though as they all do today that's it sitting on top of my seven interest polish center links push mid links again interestingly enough it's the two cheapies that have the poly Center links unlike the original Rolex the GMT masters do but the Submariner doesn't I guess the cheaper ones are looking to shine that little bit brighter and then some of them more expensive competitors today and zoomed out for perspective frankly I have no idea what time it is all I can see is Mickey Mouse on the dial virtually useless as a timepiece this one but it's a novelty item isn't it so if you get one with a sequel movement that's running well the Siegel movement at least is going to be a faithful friend for many years to come I've heard mixed reports about the long-term durability of these in victor's though I guess at 50 $60 they're almost disposable you can chuck these away every couple of years if that's your style but if you're on a budget and you want the rolex submariner look this is the obvious entry-level option less obvious is the Loreal now this is a made in China I got it from Aliexpress you can buy these on Amazon but I think they're over a hundred US dollars I certainly think you should be paying as little as possible as always but you should be paying maybe 80 85 max for this one can I similar to the Invicta in a lot of ways it's got those polished metal links bezel action is quite light on and there's no loom pip on the bezel I'll pop up the loom comparison not really much of a comparison I'm afraid when compared to the Rolex again pretty dreadful and no lump it means you will not be using this one to time your dive but these are available in a bunch of different colorways including the Hulk one that I bought nice green sunburst effect on the dial there tile itself is actually quite pretty applied indices decent handset with a bit of scalloping usable Cyclops there as well minute track all of those classic Submariner styling cues three one six Hale stainless steel case crown bezel and bracelet solid end links and slightly more curved links there's a little bit more finesse to the way this one wears comes in at around 150 grams so it's a little bit heavier than the Invicta 13 mil thickness so it's a millimeter slimmer than the Invicta very very similar in profile to the Rolex itself but I guess there's one positive and one negative with the lorry or when compared to the Invicta the positive being sapphire crystal and I tested that with my diamond tester proper piece of sapphire so perhaps not as disposable as the in Victor was with its mineral crystal but it's not a sickle moment this is an unknown Chinese movement in the back of this one one would imagine it's a seagull I'm guessing around 40 orders power reserve 3 hertz movements or 20 1600 vibrations per hour similar to the Seiko screw-down Rolex style case back here so you're not gonna be taking this one on and off as easily you would if it was a regular style case back the movement does alright though again this one running in the winders for a period of a couple of weeks you know seeming to get better over the course of that fortnight coming in at plus 11 plus 12 so it performed better than the NH 35 in the Invicta which was a bit of a surprise but it's not unknown quantity so that is a question mark about how this one is gonna perform long-term but again like everything on the menu today it wears quite well that extra mil means it just slips into the wrist very nicely polished mid links not my cup of tea but the clasp is a distinct upgrade on the Invictus fold-over with safety pushers it's just a press clasp under there but the whole thing does feel more solid than the Invicta doesn't rattle doesn't shake around like the Invicta did so Sapphire covering the dial but we're still a long way off in terms of the rest of the watch I'm afraid there are pros and cons to the loriel over the Invicta you can expect me to put these two bargain sub E or misers head-to-head in a video soon if you can pick one up closer to 70 75 US dollars as I kind of knock around piece you want a beta for the weekends or you just want to test pilot this style of watch before investing one of the more expensive pieces it's not all that bad the loriel but it's when you step up to $299 spend for the phoebus py double of seven that were getting into the serious watch territory today and we're getting into watches that I could recommend you to purchase as long-term durable everyday pieces this is the second iteration of the py double oh seven Phoebus really made their name by making these quality savio measures over 2016 and 2017 for the male 20 mil log wear as always thirteen and a half mil thick 47 and 1/2 log tip to log tip again a little bit of taper on the bracelet down to 18 back up to 20 at the clasp heaviest watch of the day a hundred and seventy two grams so 20 grams heavier than the subby and you can feel that difference it does feel like a much more substantial watch on wrist three one six they are stainless steel case cranberries old bracelet solid links push pins solid end links and a proper milled clasp I'll show you that one in a second ceramic bezel insert as well and it's a fully lune ceramic bezel insert now the loom comparison with the Rolex the Phoebus does rather well it went head-to-head with the sea dweller in loom wars part one a video that I made a couple of months ago that we all do mores part too I really had a lot of fun that day and as you can see be gw9 plenty of it in the hands the indices and the ceramic bezel doesn't disgrace itself at all when compared to his much more expensive uncle zooming it on the dial and we have the printed King octopus sunburst effect on the dial just diverse 300 automatically above the six date frame around the date window at three so they have a date complication but it's framed and there's no cyclops so they've done something slightly different I think to be admired for that the cyclops not everyone's choice to be honest and I think that Phoebus have come up with a decent compromise with this one 120 click unidirectional rotating dive time bezel pretty stiff on this one because it is box fresh the octopus appears again on the fold-over clasp Phoebus in block capitals underneath and double safety pushers and a proper milk clasp as noted everything's a little bit stiff though the you know good push of that one to get it all back together and the top link is a little bit stiff there as well I'm sure that will ease up over time if you're wearing this one as a daily and there is again when you pop a link to show the case back screw down case back 300 metres of water resistance is trying to be its own thing this Phoebus as well obviously it's a sub your Maj but they're putting a bit of their own branding now the movement in this one is a Milton 1915 so Japanese four Hertz high beat auto you get eight ticks of the second and ii saw lovely smooth sweep just like the roller and look at the accuracy on that one now 40-ish our power reserve unidirectional windings so these ones do wobble on the wrist of it 24 jewels and hand wines as well if you get a good one of these motors though it is a lovely thing to live with and this clearly is a good one coming in a plus two point two seconds over the course of a couple of weeks thumbs up for that and it looks pretty good on wrists this one ceramic bezel insert makes a big difference to how these look in some light sapphire crystal dead-flat sapphire but with plenty of ER you can see you can a purple hue to it in certain light conditions as well decent enough bracelet decent clasp solid offering no kind of weak spots for your 300 or one of these and it's obviously I chunk more money than the ones we were looking at under a hundred but the $300 Phoebus you're getting a lot more of the the Rolex look and the feel flat sapphire crystal ceramic bezel insert it looks like it belongs in a couple of classes up from the in vectors anyway you know I've said it before if you don't mind the fact that you're wearing a Submariner or Maj for $300 you get a lot of watch for your money with this Phoebus sapphire crystal ceramic bezel insert all stainless construction it's well manufactured you can knock this one around and it's gonna look pretty much like it did the day you bought it for quite a while these have definite appeal to me anyway as an everyday wear piece moving on to the squally 154 5 maxie ceramic now so-called because it has a ceramic bezel insert it's a new one apparently and a very nice one at that I have to say and maxie indices so this one has painted rather than applied indices on the dial but they are that larger size 570 as noted from Noman out of Singapore so nearly twice the price of the Phoebus py double O seven but you're getting those magic words Swiss made either side of the six p-m index and you're getting an ETA 28 24 in the back of this one apart from that is more the same really stainless steel bezel case crown bracelet etc we have forty millimeter diameter 20 mil lakh worth tapering down to 18 back up to 20 I had the class 30 mil fake 47 mil log tip to log tip dead flat sapphire crystal plenty of they are really nice gonna bluey purpley pop to that one though basil on this model though super stiff as noted in the review of this one it is box fresh so I would imagine that that would loosen up with a bit of time or a little bit of olive oil but it is slightly stiffer than I would have expected it to be at the moment bracelet is a good one though nice finishing nice contour to those links proper screw pins for the first watch with screw pins today the squally when you're spending north of 500 us that's pretty much a given squally just printed on the clasp no security pushes but you've got that fold over there proper scissor clasp and a divers extension I gained the first watch today to feature one of those popping a link screw down case back 20 atmospheres 200 metres of water resistance sapphire crystal the usual adverts on the back of the case very very simple case on this one containing the Swiss made ETA 28 24 movement now this is 25 Joules hax hand whines it is also are a high beat auto didn't get the best result this one though that was a week or so in the wolf winders and the box he's a bit of a mixture between the two winders plus 14 you know just because it's swiss doesn't mean to say it's gonna be more accurate than a sequel movement or a militant movement they tend to run faster in my experience this not the best that i've seen but not the worst that I've seen either talking of not the best but not the worst have a look at the lutein comparison now this one is a printed dial as noted maxi indices the big indices plenty of legibility during the daytime but you're never gonna get the same amount of loom into the index on our printed dial as you are on an applied index and as you can see there it's slightly sad just a loom pip hanging on to the grim death there not great now moving into the dial some people not have found the double branding squal alias koala bear that kind of shock curled gonna smile dial style there just above the index at 6 o'clock I've got no problem with it I guess if you're gonna make something that looks a lot like a rolex submariner double branding it is no bad thing differentiating your subbi from the original one and I do like that er coating really does make this one pop in the sunlight and there it is in the sunlight looks pretty good on rest that ceramic bezel insert really is one of the nicer ones here today apart from the Rolex is obviously wear as well looks good on wrist as they all do classic self dimensions there's a reason they're all ripping off the sabe it's because it was just beautifully and back inside that's what it looks like under lights nice finishing on the majority of the watch not impressed with the finishing on those lugs though definitely a bit of a surprise really the only fly in the squally appointment this one I think it does a fair job for 570 you're paying for the name you're paying for swiss-made and you're paying for that Swiss movement finishing rougher than expected squally in my right hand and Viktor in my left hand five hundred dollars or pricing factor of ten between the two watches and the Invicta case is definitely better finished really a bit rough there from the squally disappointing so what does the squally add for the two hundred and seventy dollars required over the top of the Phoebus well adds those two words Swiss made either side of the index at six and a Swiss movement is that worth double the money from the Phoebus that one is over to you and then we are on to the super Amash today there's you know ocean Rover now this is the second one of these that I have owned a had and no date that I picked up at the beginning of last year sold that one and picked up this one with the Cyclops I'm a bit disappointed with the Cyclops no our coating on this dial at all they're keeping the older style of Millsap clearly it's a little bit different today no more CD's hands on this one it's a sabe homage but it's got its own thing going on as well and it's an all match to a 1960s Submariner that will cost you not $10,000 but a hundred thousand dollars for a good one if you can find one phone john mayer see if you can buy his so no AR coating bit of a mistake I should have opted for the one without the Cyclops with the deep wheel underneath allow the Phoebus today but this watch really is a cut above the other o magis today just beautifully machined enameled dial big deep lumen fill indices I'll pop up the lune comparison video now because this one has a kind of golden sand style it's got out clearly a different thing it's not trying to look like a modern Submariner it's trying to look like a vintage sub e with that kind of vintage old radium style loom as well there's a lot bad job I mean nothing's gonna take on this hobby today in a loom or but it does not bad for itself there's you know now the bezel on this one 120 click unidirectional rotating bezel very very nice action on that aluminium insert again looks like a retrograde step but it is a deliberate design choice by channel because they're trying to make it look like a 1960 sub and not necessarily look like one from 2018 the usual three one sec sale stainless steel case crown bezel and bracelet solid end links solid links screw links and a complete ripoff of the rolex the light lock clasp now this is the second one of these I have owned oops still got a bit of sticker on that one look at that my watch and I didn't even peel the stickers off what a disgrace I am as I said this is the second one of these that I have used on a kind of long term basis it's amazing you know props the Rolex for designing this thing just fantastic you get about an inch maybe not quite an inch of wiggle room with this one no excuse for not having the perfect fit with one of these dimensions are all same same with slightly different again 40 20 just under 13 47 and a hundred and forty grams of 10 grams lighter than the Rolex screw down crown 300 meters of water resistance and semi stare outs you know Rolex style case back there solid in links of course now the movement in this one is one of you knows own calibers is a modified ETA 28 24 clone most of it built in-house with their own SPECT parts is then regulated to multiple positions before it shipped supposedly this should be running within cost parameters even though it is not officially cost certified how I had this one running in my wolf winder then boxy winders for a head-to-head comparison with my or 65 which I did a couple of weeks ago not that great came in at minus 10 so closer to zero than the original genuine ETA 2824 today but not as good as you know claim I guess servicing will be the same as an ETA 28 24 because it's basically the same movement you wonder why they didn't just buy one off the shelf or put us Aletha 200 or STP 111 in this one I think they would have been able to justify the 1,000 plus dollar price tag if they had a proper Swiss movement in here rather than one of their own making as silly as that sounds in some respects I grant you but it wears like a peach better than the Rolex Submariner yes you heard me say that better than the Rolex doesn't flop around as much as the rule lacks 10 grams lighter as well.those narrower lugs I think mean this one looks better on wrists as well as feeling better and the bracelet is essentially identical so it really does wear very similarly looks great outside in real world conditions as well very strong coloration to those hands and indices it definitely is going for that super vintage super retro look well a mini embezzle answer and the lack of AR coating as noted but such a honey of a wash to wear on wrists so in some ways a different league from the other sub your Magister day but then again it should be is nearly twice the price of this wale does it justify that price can one justify spending over a thousand u.s. on an homage a watch that completely lacks an originality the the lack of originality is its strong point that's why you're buying one because it has the look and feel of a vintage Rolex with the price tag you know it's an interesting question this one is that the heart of the whole homage debate easier to justify a watch of fifty dollars then I watch a thousand dollars that's for sure depends how much value you put into originality of design brand name and I guess the Sue kriem level of engineering that comes with the Rolex but I have to see there's you know if you look at it objectively $1000 it is an awful lot of watch it is a fantastically well made well machine watch for a grand so here we are again all lined up some minutes after we started today I've had a lot of fun making this one it's great to have all of these six pieces in hand and to compare them to one another there's only one Rolex Submariner though it's an amazing watch you know looks beautiful and it's gonna last you a lifetime and it's gonna be worth more money ridiculous that these things actually appreciate in value but hey that's the watch market you know ocean Rover our stunner but it's a grand squally can it maybe falls between two posts today at five hundred and seventy US dollars it may say Swiss made on the dial may have a Swiss movement doesn't mean to say it's the best watch here Phoebus at 300 I think is a cracker if you're up for a Norma perhaps that's the sweet spot perhaps that's how much money you should be spending on a watch there isn't a Rolex of manner the two cheapies if you're on a bit of a budget they both got pros and cons if push came to shove I'd probably go for the loriel but I think they all look pretty good and they all wear beautifully that's the advantage of ripping off the Rolex so there you have it Rolex Submariner versus or Marge's if you like the look but you can't quite afford the five figures required for the Submariner you're not gonna be short of options are you clearly I don't have the food spread here today there's a number of brands missing but I feel I put together a reasonable spectrum at all the right price points with some pretty strong brands they're representing starting at the bottom with the Invicta if you dig around you can pick up one of these for maybe 50 60 $70 but should you they're all key but I was rather disappointed with the sequal movement in this one that's supposedly the Invictus East card and it rather flunked the test today next up was the lorry or to be honest it felt better on the wrist than the Invicta for only a couple of doll more Chinese movement a little bit of a question mark on that but sapphire crystal I'd rather have sapphire the mineral all day long the Phoebus a $2.99 makes a very compelling argument for itself we've got a proper 4k high be automatic Japanese main movement great loom and decent enough build quality I think the Phoebus also you get a little bit of brand identity you get something that's clearly trying to look like a Submariner but also trying to be its own thing as well now the squally nothing wrong with this quali for $5.99 you're moving up to Swiss made with a Swiss made movement as well but is it worth twice what you're paying for the Phoebus that one is up to you and then at the very top of the tree if you want to get as close as you can to the Rolex Submariner buying experience but spending 1000 rather than 10,000 it's got to be as you know to be honest it isn't an entirely different league from the other subby o Marge's today the look the feel the quality that bracelet everything frightening ly close to the Rolex but I said in the beginning and I'll see it at the end if you want the true Rolex Submariner experience you're gonna have to buy one thanks for watching see you in the next video
