RockHounding Another Road Cut

well let's rock a road cut I got one right there I got pretty good size one right here shoot across the street real quick and uh see what we can come up with believe it's calite there's this little nugget here I say nugget it's got a little bit of crystallization in there right there and that one's not too spectacular really um so I'm probably not going to keep that one this one however it's pretty cool and but uh this this is the one I like it's just uh sticks out it's a nice little specimen well I didn't have to go too far I found this nice little piece here and even better even [Applause] better that is cool so those will go in my illustrious pocket yeah I've actually been enjoying um I always thought you know rock hounding the road Cuts where there's a lot of this Limestone and uh do stone and whatnot I honestly thought it'd be boring you wouldn't really find much you'd find some veins in the Limestone but honestly that's where you find the good stuff as you seasoned Rock counters definitely know um I've been enjoying finding a lot of the Cal site and I think even some beite uh is in some of this stuff too I've been I've been enjoying that really have uh I like to search for the really good stuff when I can but this has been enjoyable um like I said in the last video you know do not ignore the uh the cow site so here's what looks like to be a piece of chirt with little pocket right there and and some crystals right there it's interesting little banded shirt maybe my finger got little red dots on them from all these mites that are all over these rocks this will take me days if not weeks if not months if not a whole year to rock down this one Hill if I wanted to search through it it's all right it's not far from where I live so uh I could always come back to it all right let's see what else I can find all right I don't know if my eyes deceive me or if it's just a play on light and color but is that blue I mean the surrounding rock is gray with my all over it but is that blue or just a really light gray and then what is that is that caly Flint CH is that celest typ M it's all around that I have something similar at home that I picked up from a similar location down the road from here I don't know now you tell me is that blue it looks bluish but it also could just be a lighter shade of gray either way I like the contrast let's move on and here is a nice chunk of what looks to be calcedony a white caldy can't tell if it's got any other color in it but definitely that waxy candle likee luster that we look for nice little chunk where to go now I mean ah there's never enough time in a day to do rock Ying I swear all right now the uh this rock here that I I was wondering about and there's another one right there that looks Nic that looks nicer than this this has this bluish vein in it that has got to be calcy here is another example oh my God look at that oh that's that's a keeper look at at that look at the inclusions now this is what I picked up earlier has that bluish in it and set that aside I still might take that home if nothing else these would go in my rock garden or my flower garden but where did I see it at I just saw it I see a couple oh here it is right here right here look at that one look at that look at that that just that looks so cool that looks so cool it looks too cool not to take home I I like that way too much that is cool and then I saw another one over here doesn't look as appetizing yeah there's another example here here's another example here look at that that is totally neat really is but I like those examples down there I'm going to take those home anything else that catches my eye at the moment yeah I'm definitely going to be Rock counting this spot way more that's for sure I'm definitely coming back here look look at this one look at this one this one has more of a a bluish tint than even the other ones and it it shows more blue on the video but still even with the naked eye it still has a bluish to it that is so cool and I'm sure it's caly oh that looks neat get those mites off there okay this has a little coloration to it maybe huh that is super cool the things that you'll find on these Rock cuts on these Road Cuts I I would have never ever have thought Road Cuts would have so much in them but they do they really do cuz I'm used to going to creeks and streams and rivers but you got to remind yourself where all that stuff comes from it comes from top of the mountains and the hills and so going to the source look at that is that quartz or is that Cal site that's going in my pocket that's going home with me all right let's poke around a little bit before I go home here I just don't know where to continue on now I mean I it's the possib abilities are endless endless I tell you endless and I won't give the location although this is this is all public but I will say I'm outside Bristol so if you're in Tennessee outside Bristol off of 394 I'll tell you that much I'm not off the highway but I'm off the road of that Highway and along 394 you'll find some nice stuff too along 421 you'll find some nice stuff but uh this literally is you blink you miss it 394 is over there heading that way heading that way heads toward 421 so I don't really know the name of this road but I started over there now I'm over here all right let's keep looking for a little bit this one right here now see is that chart or is it caled I mean I know it's a micr crystal instructor but uh you know it's got waxy luster it it's somewhat trans transparent or translucent I should say um you know some would say well that's just ch well I mean I've always known CH to be like flint and be more opaque whereas calced like agot is going to be more translucent this is translucent you can clearly tell it's waxy and translucent you can even see a little bit of banding right in there that's a big old nodule you know so those three I should have brought a bag I did not come prepared uh and I'm finding more of that stuff around here more of the uh like oh wow this is a nice one ooh look at that look at that oh my God oh my God God look at that see that's a lot like what I find when I go to Bristol go to Steel Creek Park um that you can clearly see the translucency and all the inclusions in that that's going in my pocket you're going home with me there's no if ANS or buts about it final look at this one another one so it's all coming off this hill all coming off this hill I'm seeing a lot of this stuff here uh along with you know typical oh oh my God Be Still My Heart oh my God there's another one I'm going to put my foot right there so I don't lose that spot this oh my God that's blue that is blue oh my God look at this one see okay now see I'll I'll take that as Flint that's Flint or CH but this right here what is this that's blue that's going home with me this is what I had my eye on look at the color oh my God oh my God look at the color I hope the camera's doing it justice it's like pinkish and blue and white and gray ah okay this has been a happy day of Road Road Cut Rock counting oh my God this has bit of Joy I am definitely coming here again well I've got to get those rocks up there wherever i' put them I think I put them there I don't know I got to find them again I got to get them down in my vehicle before I lose everything H this has been a joy well guys I'm going to call it a day I will do another video there they are cuz I see the rock I'm looking for uh I will be doing another video at this spot again very soon so look for that and get out there and do some Rock counting on some Road cuts for now peace out
