let's turn things over to meteorologist rob baier what a way to start the weekend glorious outside yeah beautiful sunshine out there a little bit windy in a few spots and the wind coming in off the ocean once again cooling off the coast in the inner bay a short-term cooldown that we're seeing today before temperatures rebound for the weekend but if you're going to be out and about this evening watch out for those gusty winds winds of 15 to 30 miles per hour and it's still a cool evening out at oracle park 53 degrees seagulls don't seem to mind out there pretty happy that is back with baseball you see the wind northwest at 15 miles per hour tomorrow by the way temperatures warmer a little bit warmer for the early afternoon start we should see those temperatures back into the 60s speaking of 60s walnut creek 65 look at that wind southwest at 21 miles per hour so a cool blustery evening all the way inland to contra costa county we're seeing more of it too in the santa clara valley northwest wind at 20 and currently 60 in san jose so even with the sunshine you see these beautiful pictures both on our news set here behind me it's jacket weather out there due to that cool breeze you got numbers dropping through the 50s low 50s by 8 o'clock tonight around san jose before the low clouds start to fill in once again and so here you go it's the copy and paste forecast you've seen this week patchy low clouds for the morning cool temperatures mostly in the mid 40's bay side but a bit of a change for tomorrow afternoon more like the weather we had yesterday where we did see more 70s out there the sea breeze won't be quite as strong for the valleys and this is a trend that's going to carry through the weekend so we should see numbers back closer to the mid 70s around the tri valley up towards concord and walnut creek downtown san jose close to 70 degrees 76 in santa rosa and sonoma probably the warmest places around the bay area tomorrow but even as we're talking about this warming trend for inland areas notice how the coast and san francisco continue to stay relatively cool as those winds will stay on shore early afternoon start for the giants game again tomorrow but a little bit warmer still breezy temperatures around first pitch time early afternoon should be in the low 60s now in terms of seeing any april showers or spring showers obviously we're not seeing any of that this weekend we're expecting maybe towards the end of next week we may begin to see a system here over the sierra that will bring a chance at least of maybe a few stray showers for parts of lake county or mendocino county but the best odds by next weekend should be over the sierra so here's a look at your weekend forecast bit of a warm-up san francisco warmer for you means mid-60s not a big warm-up but at least not the 50s like we had today and a little breezy and a bit cooler as we head towards tuesday early next week now for the valleys you'll get into the 70s tomorrow sunday the warmer of the two days and then some upper 70s as we start the week and staying there still no signs of any rain but a little less wind and some warmer weather for your weekend plan should be nicer and a bit warmer out there at oracle park two this weekend back to you okay looking forward to the weekend total baseball weather thanks
