robert we know you as the author of rich dad poor dad which is a book that has helped a lot of people since it came out and um i think the message of this book is more relevant today than ever because we have millions of americans out of work many of these people have relied on the education system which in the books you have described as having failed a lot of people i know people personally who have been laid off they're frustrated they're angry they feel betrayed what is the message that you have for everybody that's fallen into hard times because of covid what can we learn from this experience well that's that's like the um black lives matter and the i'm not a black one yeah i'm for all life that's what got me in trouble i said all lives matter yeah but anyway they call it woke which is african-american for they woke up well you better wake up my generation the boomers were the first generation to go into what's called defined contribution pension plan 401ks iras now the problem with my generation is they think what they think what is safe are u.s treasuries no what is it what it is can they say that treasuries are how the fed and the treasury manipulate the market and they've wiped out savers they've wiped out pensions this is my latest 2020 2020 book it's called who stole my pension this our pensions dry and the baby boomers had better woke up you know they're saving their money they're buying a house they're putting money in their ust bills and those money market certificates are you effing nuts and you look at your generation they screwed you guys big time do what i mean student loans i don't know what else they've done so people that better as the african-americans say you better woke up and i talked to my baby boomer friends and they go yeah but i have t-bills i said good that's fake money that's that's what this book is here it's called fake yeah see i kind of woke up in vietnam i was going we're not here fighting communists you know the viet the viet cong i had a lot of respect for them in the nba they were they were fighting for our country and so was i and so people right now david are fighting for their lives on both sides you know why is antifa and black lives matter rioting they're fighting for their lives right now so that's how i see it i don't take a side keiko news has spoken to a lot of people over the years uh i remember doug casey came in for an interview and one of the things he said that is that america has been on a decline for decades uh if you look at you know you were talking about vietnam just just take a look at vietnam one would argue that the you know americans lost the war there and then we saw afghanistan iraq we saw a lot of political turmoil over the last two three decades is america ready uh to face the challenges of the 21st century well that's kind of saying david i talk about mass migrations you know like when you watch the wildebeest running across the plains of the serengeti the mass migrations the guys making money right now the moving companies coming out of new york chicago portland seattle they're americans are running now because the guys i was shooting in vietnam are now politicians in america do you know what i mean i made the tragic mistake i opened my mouth insert foot all the time when i came back from vietnam this is 70's and i got interviewed by a local hawaii paper and they said what did you learn i said if i want to kill communists i just go down to city hall here in honolulu and fire a couple of rounds i would have hit more communists in city hall i got hammered for that one david but it's true look at hawaii they have what one guy died or two guys died of covid and they shut the whole state down you know you know obama came from hawaii i'm not republican or democrat but you look at you look at who there's not one republican in hawaii you know hawaii should just raise the chinese flag david i'm announcing my candidacy for office right now i democratic party is the biggest faction inside the democratic party is the aft american federation of teachers and they affect the schools and there was a um there was a book called tailwind written by government's name but he talks about he's a yale harp yale professor a yale law graduate and he says what's happening in america today is we're teaching socialism and yeah and communism because the teachers are and those are my fa to say this david it's my family right but opponents of president trump have called him a fascist and so they would argue that uh you're right robert's absolutely right that the government has become more extreme but it's not marxism that we have to be worried about it's fascism what would you say to that yeah it's more it's much deeper than that there's fascist marxists capitalists socialists and all this but i always say this you know when you point your finger like if i call it you a fascist three fingers pointing backwards and so that's why when i got accused of being a racist and i made the stupid wise ass remark of how can i be racist i'm not a white guy it made me more of a racist and that's the sixth amendment david i have the right to face my accuser but my accuser was the washington post robert let's talk about your new book now you've uh you're working on infinite return and you're writing about how the system is ripping us off tell us about that well uh where's that other book uh 1983 i read this book here you can tell i read it well it's called the grunge of giants yeah and grunt stands for girls universal caches is written by dr dr r buckminster fuller i embedded the geodesic dome and all this stuff and i was a student of his and uh so grant stands for gross universal cashless i didn't understand most of this stuff he was teaching me but i understood the gross universal cash list because i was already a gold and silver fanatic and then yeah i was being ripped off by my government because my father poor dead he was at once a democrat at one time and he switched to republican because he saw how corrupt the government the democrats of hawaii are they're all labor guys and so my father shifted parties he got crushed in november this is the 70s my mother died a few months later she couldn't take the pain she couldn't take the pain but i understand corruption and i and it starts again in our schools and that's why i'm saying the economics taught in military school is different than economics taught in traditional schools traditional schools teach keynesian economics which is printing money and malthusian economics and thomas malthus was a english cleric and malthus taught that economics is the allocation of scarce resources actuality there's plenty today so as an entrepreneur i always say plenty but i saved my money in gold silver and bitcoin because i want to be outside the system i am outside the system you come after me i'm going to run yeah robert i want to talk about one last thing and then i'll let you go here uh last time you also said that we can expect more civil unrest well we have seen some of that in the last few months but it was i don't know if you remember but it was really triggered by the george the death of uh a a black um african-american individual george floyd and uh which sparked the whole black lives matter movement and um you know my question is if you look around at all these cities that that you see uh rioting and protesting and civil unrest what was the fundamental cause of all this because first of all as you have deserved this is not the first time that a person of color has been marginalized or abused maybe this is not the first time in history we've seen police brutality why is that your strong response now was this just the tipping point or was it just so much anger built up from the coronavirus that people just had to come out and protest who caused this well david i've been asking myself that same question for ever since this whole thing started someone looking for answers and there's a book written by a japanese guy francis fukuyama is called identity i recommend every capitalist read that book to understand why this is happening and what fukuyama says he's harvard and stanford and he's definitely on the left but he says the 21st century is a century of dignity people are demanding dignity but it's also the politics of resentment i mean his stuff is profound and then he says the 20th century was the center of economics so you and i are from the 20th century he says the 20th first century is the century of dignity and what needs to happen last question what needs to happen for us to recognize human dignity on a more broader scale in the 21st century i mean people following the black lives matter movement people have been calling for the funding of police forces around the country um first of all do you agree with uh with that and uh what other appropriate responses should uh institutions take well i don't know about the institutions because they're all screwed up anyway but i think as individuals we need to make changes you know like for things to change so i changed myself you know and i really have been like i respond with my texts faster i talk to people more i don't avoid people but it's not that it's like it's health it's not that i'm not healthy can i be healthier does that make sense to you and can i be kinder not that i'm not kind can i be kinder can i be more respectful so it's a conscious shift on treating you know it's like the golden rule do unto others as you would have them do unto you or the old rule is do unto them before they do it to you that's that's gonna change right so i'm really doing my best to do unto others like i would like to be treated more of it not that i
