[Music] what's up guys welcome to daily dose of reddit this is your host zach and today subreddit is our slash nuclear revenge all right first story up is called shot up house is the price for screwing with retirement sorry for the throwaway but this situation is still within the statute of limitations and goes across state lines in the usa names have been changed to protect the parties that need protection and to conform with the rules of reddit cast of characters jam owner of the property fatty his wife kirsten who's the daughter of jim and also me tilda betty's sister larry tilda's husband sonny daughter of tilda and larry larry jr larry and tilda's son mike larry until the sun thank you for the family tree backstory many years ago in rural appalachia and coal country lived a cluster of families on a hauler jim and betty owned a mobile home and had their daughter kirsten with them this mobile home was two bedrooms and one bathroom but it was sufficient enough for shelter during the mid-1980s a recession hit appalachia hard and jim found work in another part of the country in moving he approached larry and tilda to look after the mobile home and collect rent from anyone that wanted to lease the mobile home a rent amount was agreed to and would be adjusted for inflation and the cost of living for the area the money was to be deposited into a savings account except for the money needed for necessary repairs and receipts kept jim and betty trusted their siblings with this and moved trusting that this money would be part of their retirement fund i was privy to these conversations but did not pay that much attention to them at the time shortly after leaving appalachia a renter was found and jim and betty were glad to know that something was coming about from the land in their home area then mike moved into the mobile home and jim stipulated that the rental agreement did not change even with his nephew renting the mobile home after mike moved out sunny moved in and stayed for several years betty asked hilda several times about the rent knowing sonny was very unreliable with rent in the past and was assured that between section 8 and food stamps that the rent was being paid on time and there were no issues a few repairs had been done but the receipts were stored in the safe deposit box where the savings account was fast forward a few more years sunny finally moves out and there are a few more renters and then the taxes are not getting paid the mobile home will not pass for section 8 any longer as we jim betty and i have been told repairs had been made over the years we find this odd and inquire again to tilda who states this was all a misunderstanding once again betty trusts her sister and is relieved when we get the tax receipt in the mail this is very important later another few years pass and tilda dies jim and betty attend the funeral and betty makes a gesture to assist with some of the expenses larry agrees and betty requests access to the savings account that should have at least tens of thousands of dollars by this point not including interest to only find out it has never existed all of the paperwork has been fraudulent and or forged remember that tax receipt another forgery betty refused to fight she had just lost her sister still jim is livid as am i sonny was always abusive to me and to find out she had been living off of my parents for free while receiving section 8 for rent and getting food stamps sent me over the edge on top of the missing retirement funds cue revenge so knowing everything was fraudulent from the beginning jim and i attempted legal means first to get revenge on this thief we were met with walls of red tape and with states separating us it was an uphill battle with a slim chance of winning plus the attorney fees would drain any winnings and then more first i put my piece into action against sunny i filed claims of fraud against the section 8 anonymously and snap benefits given that there was absolutely no proof of rent being paid to the homeowner or the custodian larry was stupid enough not to ride out a fraudulent receipt for when his daughter lived there next i filed against larry for tax evasion and social security fraud since sunny was claiming to be paying him the rent via section 8 this was income since he was not claiming this income on his tax forms he was double dipping into the social security system and avoiding paying taxes i did the same for the time mike was paying rent although he did not claim government benefits he just paid rent the next stage was to notify their local church about the shady dealings with family their faith is big on lay ministers in credibility i told anyone and everyone i could from the church directory about what had happened i even showed the fake tax receipt the last bit was the most nefarious after ensuring that larry was visiting sunny and the house he owned was empty a rented car was used and while betty drove jim used a 22 to shoot holes in the roof the ac compressor the garage doors and anything that was laying in the yard and not immediately noticeable we wanted the burn to last so no windows were shot out or anything evident from the start showed aftermath sunny is now being investigated for multiple charges of fraud her side business has been closed due to the sweeping allegations that money will not be allocated as intended her applications for small business loans and brovid funds have been denied criminal charges are being whispered but i do not think anything will come about with that portion larry has been found guilty of overpayment by the social security administration and no longer receives benefits he now lives with sunny and no longer has his truck camper boat or atvs unfortunately once again criminal charges are not pending larry jr has moved into the old home that was shot up the roof had several places where hail or other debris punched through and made it leak the siding had similar damage some of the bullets and they finally figured out what it was pierced some of the old pvc plastic plumbing he has spent a fortune fixing the roof plumbing and siding where a lot of little holes were i do not know if he has tried the ac yet and i will be delighted to find out if it malfunctions as severely as i hope yo i would be unimaginably pissed off if i found out that where i should have tens of thousands of dollars stashed up if i go there and find out that there's nothing for me that would just that would just crush my soul it's like thousands of times worse than like going to work on payday and finding out that you don't get a check this freaking time because we didn't get enough money that's what working with families like and that's literally what happened they work with family that's what you get this story's called accuse me of being a commie i'll reward you with a slow and painful death hello everyone i've been a long time lurker in this sub this is not my own story however the person involved in this story is a family member fair warning this contains violence and murder i am confident sharing this story here because the people involved in this story have passed away since this happened quite some time ago english is not my native language so bear with me with the grammar as always still near the bottom a little bit of background story this happened in a relatively small town in an asian country in the mid 60s where the people and the government hated still do communist ideology let's call my family member involved here aaron he was around 26 27 years old at the time and his parents emigrated from china to this asian country whose population mostly looked nothing like aaron in terms of appearance skin tone face you name it his parents were traitors selling goods and spices to local people who were quite well off and they were able to put aaron into a higher education institution at this time going to school is a privilege much more so going to a university there he became friends with local students whose parents were in the military and or were politicians because education was quite literally non-existent at that time as the country had just gained their independence and they were a struggling state people at that time were uneducated and most of them did not have much to eat sometime during his second year in the institution or university a country-wide war on communism broke out and most foreigners either went back to their homeland or sought refugee to the border people took this opportunity to loot stores violate women and kill men as they were able to do vigilante justice as the police and military were overwhelmed fortunately aaron's parents had been able to escape the town seeking shelter at a family's place in the capital city before the chaos broke out as they were told to go away by family members in the capital however aaron believed nothing would happen and he would stay at home as he couldn't abandon his studies he wasn't strong or anything but he was quite fit one night a neighbor came to the house to say goodbye as he was going to escape and he suggested that aaron do the same quickly but he refused before dawn he was awakened by shouting and banging from the door he looked out and there were dozens of people looking to barge into his house to arrest him for being a communist he tried to reason with the mob through the space in the house's gate explaining he was not a commie however of course they wouldn't believe him as he looked just like any other commie and the mob was provoked by an acquaintance of the family let's call him brooks apparently aaron's parents business was going well in the area and brooks wasn't he blames aaron's parents for his business not being successful i don't know what business exactly let's assume they sold the same trades brooks had ties to military and that night they beat aaron within an inch of his life and transported him to a camp in the jungle where accused communists were gathered after they were arrested unwarranted arrests without evidence just because their skin tone was light and their eyes were squinted at that camp the accused communists were held for three four days at most and when they ran out of space they would march them deeper into the jungle have them dig their own graves and then shoot them mass executions were common at that time as rivers would turn blood red and corpses would be left out by the road and in open fields corpses would be hanged off of a bridge and most of these people were not actually communists the situation was not looking good for aaron as he was not given anything to eat at all and he was forced to strip naked and humiliated by brooks and his people at one point he was being told to march to the jungle he thought that was the end of it it was over however he was given a gun and was told to shoot his fellow inmates wrongly accused of course in the head or he was going to get a bullet himself after days of torture both physically and mentally he begged for them to kill him as it would be way better than to live that way now this is where the revenge began remember the local students in the university aaron attended well one of them had a dad whose position in the military was quite high up and had been acquainted with aaron during his first two years in the university let's call him the colonel oh i heard he made good chicken one day as he was checking the commie camps he recognized aaron and he knew for sure aaron was not a communist he was furious with his subordinate officers for wrongly arresting aaron it turned out that brooks was not a military member per se as he was able to arrest people and stay at the camp because of his military friends who are lower in rank compared to the colonel as the colonel was rounding up the troops and investigating aaron's wrong arrest brook's military friends ratted him out as they were definitely choosing their own ass compared to brooks aaron told the colonel everything from the mass executions to the torture he experienced brooks being not a military member and really had no reason to be there at the camp was scared feces-less and was pleading to the colonel not to kill him saying that he had a family the usual stuff however the colonel told brooks that he was not going to kill him but aaron was the colonel gave aaron a pistol and told him he didn't care what he would do to brooks he believed brooks deserved it he ordered his men to chain brooks to a tree and back off and let aaron do whatever he pleased aaron gave the gun back to the colonel but then picked up a spiked bamboo a spear made out of bamboo this is a traditional makeshift weapon used for decades in this country in the world war ii to fight off enemies he then proceeded to impale brooks with it in the gut however he wasn't powerful enough to impale brooks through and through as he had no energy from being starved to death so he had to stab his gut several times before the spear went through he then went ape dookie crazy stabbing brooks as his guts spilt out blood everywhere literally hollowing the body out he recounted to another family member the sound of the spear going in and out someone's guts was very similar to slowly stirring a bowl of thick soup against what we usually see in hollywood films it took quite some time for brooks to die as he was screaming in pain the combination of aaron not being powerful enough and the spear being not that sharp resulted in a relatively slow and painful death later aaron recovered and was held for another two and a half years before everything calmed down and he was able to rejoin his parents in the capital city during his detainment he was not harmed or charged with anything but he was just not able to leave yet this was mainly political and for his own safety as well he never went back to that small town and settled in the capital city for some time and then emigrated to australia to put his dark past away he was in his 70s when he died of natural causes maybe this is not the most relatable story here compared to some of the more recent and more relatable revenge stories here but my country in the 60s was quite savage and i had no reason to doubt this story i will be answering questions to clarify any point in the story but other than that i couldn't be sure what to answer as i'm not comfortable digging an old wound within the family i hope you guys can respect this i believe it is quite easy for you guys to guess which country this happened in based on the details in the story my theory was indonesia and i wanted to double check so i went to the comments and other people agree that it's probably indonesia and opie has not denied it nor confirmed it but he has denied other guesses but anyway regarding the actual story holy freaking crap interesting fact here back in the 1950s there was a very similar situation going on in the united states i believe it was called mccarthyism and it was basically just like a witch hunt for communists within the united states government and it was crazy because it was very similar to this in that you could have absolutely nothing to back up your claims but that person's gonna be in trouble also sounds like something else like the salem witch trials which is where the term witch hunt comes from i believe unless it came from before that but back then instead of communism it was witchcraft but they're both just as dangerous don't get it twisted man alright given that that last story was pretty dark i decided to end today on a wholesome little story that i think you'll enjoy okay and it's called oreo delivery my friends and i are generally cheapskates as we were broke as all hell all the time but one time in 10th grade i went to school in a bad mood not cranky or anything just quieter and more spaced out than usual being the resident airhead in the group it didn't make much of a difference than how i actually act so i thought they wouldn't notice however at lunch break when i told him i was craving for chocolates out of the blue they all bought one for me well all except my friend france not her real name because she didn't have enough cash i told her it was fine and i appreciate the thought anyway it definitely improved my mood but at home hours later i hear a knock on my door and it was france with a pack of double stuffed oreos this woman drove all the way to our house to give me a pack of oreos i told her she didn't have to that her cheering me up at school was more than enough but she told me she knows and just wanted to give it i thanked her and we hung out for a bit before she drove home i'm happy for the free food but more than that i feel happy that they noticed such a subtle thing and cared enough to try to cheer me up i love my friends so much it absolutely blows my mind and makes me incredibly happy that this type of stuff exists there are people out there that are so nice and caring that if you become friends with them they will actually care about you and that's great
