and next we got RJ with the live planet camera which is right over there and it's super cool so thank you so much for coming absolutely thanks for having me again my name is r.j. wave from fly planet I'm gonna take a second I just plug in here all right so you can all see that to wave your arms you'll see we're real time stitching that that's a stereoscopic feed right there got your over-under equirectangular that word took me a long time to master so live planet we've been working on this project for about three years we finally came out of beta in January at the end of January and what we've created is an end-to-end system for the live-streaming and capture of stereoscopic VR all right it's traditionally been incredibly hard to do there's a lot of duct tape and bubble gum involved in putting this stuff out and we've created an end-to-end system that allows you to within 10 minutes open the box turn it on plug it in and start streaming all over the world all right so we have 16 lenses of in a cylindrical array we stitch them all together like a beach ball in real time and we're able to bring that up into our cloud through an Ethernet or just record it right onto a single SD card it puts out an mp4 file that looks just like that I would I would show how I can change it up into a mono or into a 180 as well but we're currently recording so I don't want to mess with it too much but all of those are options as well I can also adjust the the bitrate in order to make sure that I can get it out so for instance last week I was down in in Austin Texas for South by Southwest we used the router at the local record shop that was putting on an outdoor concert for three days and they had a 30 to 35 megabit per second uplink and I was able to point out 4k / I in stereo all over the world just plug it into that router and so we've we've just we've made this so incredibly simple and now people can just create you want everybody to get out of the way you don't to learn how to you don't have to learn how to build your camera you don't have to figure out what CDN to use you don't have to figure out how to get things from A to B this system you turn it on and you can watch it back in a headset we can play it back on gear on go on day dream pretty Singh will have the rift and vive and PlayStation 4 and the quest and everything else too we can also send out to your socials so you can go to youtube right now we'll have Facebook live video Twitter all that other stuff Carolyn as well pretty soon so with one touch of a button you can send all of you can send to all of the viewable platforms wherever your viewers are going to be my screen saver if you said my time is up so we're gonna close it up there thanks so much
