Rimworld: Medieval Fun Times

so king boo from my wonderful discord wants me to do a melee only run with combat extended my answer to that no no i will not but what i will do is a medieval run so that's the plan we're gonna go down the renegade lord start with uh maynard medieval on losing his fun because it really is on a related note i'm going to be doing a 12 hour stream on the 12th of june so check my discord if you want more information links down in the description all right so as you can see we start off with six guys a lot of swords and some heavy armor uh but we are we're actually in a quite nice place actually we also start off with a load of wine which i think is uh is a very good thing so the plan is we're gonna build a magnificent castle got mighty quests slay dragons and and yeah some probably just try and survive and not die oh what a rain already i'm not i haven't even built my houses charged them they've all got bows and we've got heavy steel armor we should be okay get them oh they've all they got firearms oh no ah slice them down there we go easy mate easy except for my guy who's on fire before he dies remove his clothes perfect because we can't do anything over medieval research there isn't really a lot to research which i guess is fine since we don't have guns this is how we hunt we just run up and stab the turkeys also that does give us a slight problem um because we can't go over medieval technology we can't actually have a freezer so we're actually gonna have to do proper food management for a change lamp i think my little village is coming along quite nicely if i do say so myself i don't know another bunch of raiders going to steal my stuff from my village leave me alone i just want to live in peace it's all right our brave knights will save us yeah get stabbed mate this whole melee thing's pretty easy in the name of rarism you shall be destroyed up so slowly there you go that that that that's what you get i have to admit i wonder how many war crimes we're gonna commit in this game i mean we're only in medieval era but i reckon there's quite a few we can commit i gotta find this is gonna be a very simple game of a lot of farming and a lot of killing we need to get some more food so we're gonna run around and stab all the wildlife with a big old sword suppose the only problem with hunting wildlife with a sword is you cut off most of the parts that you want to eat it's a little bit of a problem oh boy here comes another load of wait a minute that man's got a nail gun that's not medieval damn games cheating on me how could they have a nail gun that's not fair that absolute unit of a man or a woman is wearing alpha poly plate armor as well so i got a thing we ain't killing her and they've also got grenades what what he also blew himself up so i'm actually okay with that guys assault the back line keep the bit oh you cut a head off oh my god okay maybe he will be able to kill her you know just give the one to head chopparoo he easy game mate falls thinking they can take on rarism kill them all leave none alive this is quite interesting i accepted a quest to look after a raccoon i've ended up with two guys armed with guns um yes she got loads of food as in vegetables we got no meat so i think we're just gonna go on a nice old butcher of all the animals again to make loads of pemmican because at least that will last oh come on not this again not the not a space battle my freaking base oh come on all right well we've got quite a big raid here but uh the good news is we have two people with assault rifles i wouldn't call this cheating i'd call it being a good winner here we go come on yellow on medieval bastards yeah you ain't got nothing on me oh this is so fair how's your swords and shields doing you now huh how they're doing you now yeah you little bow and arrows versus a laser gun they're actually catching up they're suppressing us with bows quick shooter with a machine gun yeah for such a big raid we took such little casualties that's uh i want to say i'm a fishing well good news we did complete that quest in the end so that's fine oh man one of my knights had a catatonic breakdown he couldn't handle the massacre overdose how is it where did he get wake up from i think we're gonna have to go old school i can't build a rat room because i can't freeze the corpses because i have the technology can't cremate them because i don't have the technology and i don't have mass graves mod like some kind of rookie so we're just gonna have to burn them all oh god enough wait a minute these guys have guns again that man's got a flamethrower this this is not fair this is meant to be medieval and that man has a flamethrower what well here goes nothing guys head off get him get him oh go what he just won by what that man is bringing oh my god he just burned everything oh my god what this is this is definitely not fair this this is this is this is i don't think that went too badly considering he bought a flamethrower to the fight oh great thanks for the limestone club that's gonna be really helpful our brilliant medieval malaria now love that no medicine gotta go and harvest all the hill roots stop me die from medieval malaria sure we can take this guy in and defend him i think get him what are they going i'm running that way we want to avoid that guy with the big axe to be fair go get this one get nickel there's no point in shooting that big guy oh he actually got him oh he has fire arrows oh that's [ __ ] down yeah get wrecked okay i won't lie i thought this guy had a sword but instead we're just going to beat this guy to death with a heavy mace a man doesn't have a left or right leg or a torso there can't be much left of him then once again alpha polyamor shotgun god's sake ah that man's got a rifle hide he's got a finger no i shot my beer at screw it we're going for it quick get him it's missed again stop hiding again no don't just stand there you full stab that man ah we've got his gun grab his rifle it's ours oh no this is about to be painful he better be using box shot oh oh jesus get out of there go to hospital right now no don't go into a daze come on you need to go to hospital mate well i know this is a medieval run but we have acquired a frontier rifle which i think is fair game considering we stole it off someone who tried to shoot me with it he's going to try and break that alpha poly plate armor all right you do you man you do you this will provoke an infestation of 14 hives uh no so i've started making a castle wall i'm not very good at this architectural design and building cool bases but we'll see how it looks so i built some totally cool legit looking castle walls i i think oh no not again not this again i can't deal with this i don't have anything to do with this all i have is crossbows and melee weapons and there's some attack on my walls yes fight them visitors you're not doing much i i generally have no idea how i'm gonna beat this insect hive this this is this is worrying calm down cut them down keep fighting boys slice and dice them heavy armor please save me one wave of them dead oh god here comes the next wave of them cut them down cut them down oh then again this is the back line they're not meant to do that all right i think after this wave i think that's enough bug killing we're gonna have to retreat and come back soon run we've killed a load of them uh i think the armored people let's go let's go for it get back in there boys cut him down cut him down it's working we're killing them slowly keep going boys you gotta keep going we gotta do it for the colony all right there's only a few left we kill the queens which is the good thing i think uh i think this is a victory oh how very foolish to think i had won you don't beat the bugs the bugs beat you although we've got a man down oh god we need to stabilize him uh there's some medicine back up here yeah uh quick go grab some medicine go grab the hill route keep hitting the man come on you can fight it's only three of them come on deal with them oh no i think we're going to lose jumper i think jumper's done he's got two hours till he bleeds out i think we're gonna take some casualties it's not good yeah we lost jumper unfortunately um we gotta we gotta deal these bugs quickly quick we gotta get back up there soon and deal with them oh my god they're reproducing so quickly i've heard i've had to send this out a two-man mission hold hold the line even though it's literally one guy and all right good job that's them dealt with you uh you just deal with the rest of the little ones oh my god there's so many down here get destroying the hives let's go let's go no no no come on these two are definitely gonna die of infections because they both got major infections which means it's just gonna leave york who's a poor man with no combat ability well there goes one of them to infection there goes another one being turned into jelly and there goes the other one to infection that just leaves poor little york all by himself incapable of violence oh yay ah now now he's dazed all by himself walking around look at the size of his damn infestation already it's only been like a few days after i almost killed it look at it now yeah i think york's got the right attitude just sit there by yourself and just pretend that everything is okay we we won't worry about that that's fine it's it's nothing to worry about oh no oh no oh no go away bugs please leave me alone i don't want anything to do with you i just want to live in peace please die you'll run run my friend run they're stealing my rice but why are they stealing my rice how about we work out like a plea deal where i'll share a bit of my rice with you guys and then you you kind of leave me alone does that does that seem fair we in agreement yeah no all right you got you guys you just take a bit more rice you can have a little bit more but the rest the rest is mine please stop stealing all my rights all right i rebuilt a door there they're not they're not coming into my base anymore oh oh no oh no here comes a very large wave of bike hide the rice go and hide the rice they can't have it if they can't find it oh yay mad squirrels they're really going to help the situation right now aren't they no they broke into my freezer and they're stealing all my flour wheat and porridge yeah we gonna do that oh okay you're gonna you're gonna do that let's run york run let the the feast on my rice and wheat oh no york has gone on the days i i i think this might be the end i think he's just going to walk into a into a bug where's this queen going what are you doing you can't you can't just build a hive in my base you can't do that it's not allowed no it's actually gonna kill york as well oh for god's sake that's the biggest bm i've seen in a while just coming here build a hive in my oh god oh lord and even the man in black oh great here we go well we
