Can you Survive Project Zomboid By Eating the Zombies?

today in Project Zomboy I plan on answering that burning question that you ask yourself at night can you survive the apocalypse by eating the zombies now I know what you're thinking eating the zombies is a stupid idea and you're not wrong but what if we designed a man who was capable of digesting even the most vile walking corpses that roamed the streets well meet Johnny rump a man that I designed with only one thing in mind prevent getting food poisoning for this I gave myself the iron gut trait which reduces the chances of getting food poisoning alongside resilient which should hopefully make us less prone to diseases from all the debt that we're going to be chopping up now to balance this out I picked obese which in hindsight was a terrible idea alongside hearty appetite which wasn't really going to be a problem for us as we're literally never gonna run out of food after spawning in at Pizza World I should admit that the first thing I did was cheat in the required books to learn the art of butchering the undead so I didn't have to spend the first few hours of this playthrough desperately trying to find them just so I could eat now armed with the knowledge we now required the tools in order to put our idea to practice so naturally the first thing I did was argue with my twitch chat about whether or not you could make a zombie pizza oh you can't make a pizza but I don't think you can make a zombie Pizza no no you cannot put odd meat on a pizza unfortunately but you can't I'm literally looking at it right now now to actually turn an undead corpse into a succulent Mill you first need a knife to skin the zombie corpse into a skinned carcass then with a meat cleaver you are able to take the carcass and process it into odd me lard and a skeleton now annoyingly even though we spawned in the kitchen there wasn't a knife to be found so our first objective was to find one well conveniently we've started next to a uh 24 our shop not that we want any of this disgusting food inside it we just need a knife oh we'll take those painkillers though Batman's alcohol wipes I mean it'd be rude if we didn't take a rum rum Island reference no it's just because I'm an alcoholic and I really like rum [ __ ] get away from me don't make me eat your ass because I probably will later if I can't find anyone else to kill unfortunately I was unable to find a knife in the surrounding buildings so instead we resorted to foraging the materials needed to craft our own Stone knife now armed with the tools needed to eat it was time to consume our first meal we must prepare for our first meal which is going to be that woman I beat to death of a pipe wrench a minute ago I'm gonna turn her ass into a pizza well if we could we could we're gonna have to like we're gonna have to pretend that we're turning her into a pizza all right we can now skin the corpse and then with skin in the corpse we've got two options we could use the uh Cleaver to butcher it but I feel like for the sake of the meme let's just stick a whole corpse in a pizza oven yeah yeah they're just uh We've thrown her entire body in the pizza oven here I'm gonna take a hot minute to cook drink the bottle of rum before we eat the poor carcass that was eat the whole carcass but yeah apparently you were a little bit upset from that I think we're gonna need to find a book or something that's what we need hello adult magazine uh we just ate some ass now it's time to look at someone eating some ass you know what I'm saying well our depression defeated we return back to Pizza world and went to sleep officially surviving our first day of project zomboid the next couple of days all was going well until this happened I died now let me give you a quick rundown of events which led up to this dilemma all right day two I reckon wow it's definitely going to be day two they we woke up on day two with the intention of making a meal out of corpse this time so kind of you to volunteer there we go let's scoop her up she's she's volunteered as breakfast however after discovering we had no cooking utensils uh do I actually have any cooking utensils no we don't actually have like any roasting trays or anything I ventured out to see if one of the cars would work fortunately for us the keys for this red car were on the floor next to it and after spending far longer than I'd like to admit filling it with petrol we ventured out [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] all over uh-oh no the car's broke but after an unsuccessful road trip we returned home murdered some zombies and cooked another corpse the next day however during our adventures think that you can kill me I have the spinning vehicle Manu all right [ __ ] this we found a frying pan Which allowed me to make odd meat stir fry with lard and sounds sounds delicious this is actually much better than eating the corpses because we get um but we get minus 14 on boredom and it actually makes us slightly happy now what killed me wow it's simple some of the more observant ones would have seen the little green skull next to the stir fry before I consumed it which indicates that the food is poisonous so after discussing with my champ for the next few minutes we came up with two ideas while this was after we tried to hide the fact that we died by eating ourselves ah one desperately try and find some antibiotics so if I did Poison myself I would be able to reduce the chances of me dying problem of that idea is uh I would have to find some is this game just trying to [ __ ] me is that what is that what's going on here is this game just legitly trying to [ __ ] me many zombies were in there come on the other idea was to pick herbalists as a trait and try and find some lemongrass which can apparently soothe the bounce of food poisoning but I wasn't really convinced that a little bit of zesty grass was gonna save my life however what if I told you I had a third idea remember how I survived the first couple of days by just eating the corpses well what if I never butchered the corpses into odd Meep and continued just to consume my food in Corpse form there's no green skull next to it but the wiki does say it's still considered poisonous but that's a risk I'm willing to take I started this runoff by consuming a corpse just to test my theory and after not dying from the squirt I murdered a fireman and ventured into West Point to look for a new home because uh yeah Pizza world was a bit smashed up at this point all right let's go to better places be gone wench my car's just there actually I wonder if I can get the car oh [ __ ] me there's a well let's drag all the zombies away from the car and then we'll see if we can uh well yeah get in the car come on yeah come on no it's broken oh come on I thought we had it then after looking around for a while I remembered a house at me and the boys used to set up in every time we played we referred to this house as The Farmhouse and it's situated just on the outside of West Point okay this is our biggest challenge though we have to get over this fence come on come on big man oh he's only gonna done it first time ah yeah man this is the worst time as well I really need a piss as well really need a piss you know the competition is can I get there alive and I can I not piss myself before I get there right this is the house everybody this is the one look at it this is the perfect house if there's a zombie inside and it bites me I'm actually just gonna scream okay we need to be able to get into the house this is not this is not good it's gotta be one of these windows there we go right climb through oh you know what I was expecting to like open that bathroom cabinet and then there was gonna be uh some antibiotics that's what that's what I was dreaming for it's so good because you have all your kitchen stuff here you have a little bathroom here uh you have like this nice little storage area here so you can store your tools and weapons and stuff you've got a bookshelf here you got a cabinet for all your alcohol you've got a bedroom or I don't know dumping stuff then you've got a bathroom to store all your medical supplies and then you've also got another bedroom for you know store more stuff this is why this place is lit there's so much storage right first thing we're gonna do pause the game and I'm gonna go have a piss so I'll be right back after finishing my first stream I did some boring downtime products on board things like chopping up all my neighbors Furniture into planks to secure my house I actually got myself into a pretty good routine I would wake up eat breakfast play some video games to go over my depression then venture out and chop up some furniture and return home and place the plankside acquired on my windows [ __ ] what the [ __ ] as I was doing this I came up with a brilliant idea remember in the intro when I said hydrocraft allows you to use the whole of the body well I wasn't actually lying to you the candle making book allows you to turn lard into Tallow and then Tallow into candles or soap now lard is a byproduct of butchering zombie corpses but unfortunately we wouldn't be able to consume the meat but it's not like we have a shortage of zombies walking around so that was my plan for the second stream to find a candle making book and turn zombies into candles this stream began for me sawing their heads off a bunch of skeletons so I could put up some fancy Halloween decorations what do you guys think we've got like it's like [ __ ] giant skulls to be honest and with that we made our way into town to try and acquire the knowledge to make candles everything's fine everything is okay I don't know why you guys I don't know why you all keep coming in and assuming that I failed things Christ there's so many zombies oh my God okay this was probably a bad idea just walking into town that's a few zombies leave me alone actually to be fair it's just her grab the corpse let's just sneak back inside with her body give her a quick skin uh just chuck her in the oven we'll cook a quick since we are getting a little bit hungry what a baseball bat give me that and a gun case with a shotgun in it hello this is what I'm looking for double barrel shotgun give me and a box of shotgun shells here we go this is good we can now do some serious zombie cleaning up all right let's go [ __ ] kill some zombies hey what up [ __ ] yeah think about this neighborhood one house at a time should be saying we're taking back this neighborhood one meal at a time that's some empty fuel cans give me one of those it's a wheelbarrow I grabbed the wheelbarrow right this will be fantastic like I said you can put all the corpses in this wheelbarrow oh hell yeah we got a level in sneaking for that apparently all right the zombies haven't noticed don't think they've noticed me the next day we put our fancy new wheelbarrow to use by cracking a few zombie skulls skidding them and moving them over to the fridge however the large stockpile of food highlighted a growing concern that I had that eating corpses was probably not the healthiest thing as my character currently weighed 118 kilos so it was time to bust out some exercise oh hell yeah do those setups oh this is actually quite depressing come on work it work it Johnny there we go we're done a little bit more now but we might stretch to 20 minutes of sit-ups and just like in real life we gave up after a single day the next day we headed back out to find our candle book however after another unsuccessful run I got a little Fed Up and busted out the shotgun you know what we've got a shotgun [ __ ] it hello sunshine oh [ __ ] me all right we've made mistakes we've made serious mistakes okay now this is this has not gone to my this is this is not worked out the way I thought it would right now we just need to lose them all [Applause] uh uh oh [ __ ] me that's the laceration oh [ __ ] [Music] um all right we've found enough fun today let's just run all the way home that was dangerous we got a little little too overconfident there and we paid the price got lucky that we managed to get out of that one after patching ourselves up we spent the next couple of days resting until an old friend popped up what is that what is that queasy uh oh oh no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no right give me those antibiotics grab them take them slam them pills down I am not dying I am not dying I've survived for so long I refuse to die right we need some food that's what we need we need uh what we got we got orange soda right just drink all that okay we're still only queasy full to bursting let's just let's just rest it's okay it's okay like I said everything's gonna be okay for that we'll play some video games we'll have a quick smoke to exercise the lungs and then we'll go to sleep oh god oh no oh no we're getting worse uh I don't know what to do I'm panicking keep eating more corpses that will get us over this illness I I that's that's all I've got uh right let's get out there and see if we can find some lemongrass we've had antibiotics so I would have thought that would have uh done the trick I hate to think how far we've actually walked oh let me grass aha uh every bit of lemongrass yeah toilet was just a little spicy water ah [ __ ] we are now sick antibiotics I've had lemongrass why is the lemongrass not saved me I don't care I don't care that's how it was this is a video game this is meant to be fun I'm just waiting for it to turn over I'm praying that it just turns over it's just it's just back to sick look how low my health is cool man this isn't gonna be the end for us we've got so much more to do it's okay it's okay no
