RIDING A HUGE 36" WHEELED BIKE - BIGGEST FREERIDE MTB!

hello everyone today is going to be epic because look at the size of this bike this is a 36 inch wheeled beast and it is ready for a shredi now this is actually quite a funny story how it came about so a few months or a few weeks ago i got a message on instagram from steve pete the absolute downhill legend and he's like would you be interested in riding a bike with wheels that big obviously i was mega pumped straight away yes i'd love to so he put me in contact with his friend joe rackley and he's the guy that gave me this bike and said he wants to see me shred it so thank you very much to joe i'm gonna send this bike as hard as possible for you and i appreciate that i've now got this as my own absolute beast look at it it is massive so we're just going to start off first with a bomb down this hill just to see if it even works so let's here we go then first speed test oh oh oh my god i was going so fast i actually aired off that drop this thing's the best look at this thing it's actually got such nice craftsmanship on the frame and things look like smoothed in super heavy and to stop it's got a pedal back break so it looks brakeless and like steezy but you still can stop if you have to that was scary let's go and get more scared though more ridiculous features i've now slowly made my way over to a classic test grounds for weird bikes this bike's very tall very big and the huge wheels might make this stair set of doom way smoother we're about to find out yeah that is so good this thing's the best you can't even feel the bumps then it's just like a super smooth it's actually insane like i think you're like you should expect to see this size wheels coming soon to the mountain bike world because as you know people just keep making the wheels bigger so i think about two years we'll all be on 36 inch wheels like these because that just smooth them bumps out insanely let's see other fun stuff we can do on this beast we've now come over to what is quite possibly the worst attempt of any council to make something for biking right here we go hitting up this crazy bike park seesaw completed it skinny completed all right so death trapping oh back will buckler yes i'm just going the whole way this is an incredible bike park oh into this kicker with the hole in the bottom oh that is the worst that's ridiculous let's try and get this log then that is the least thoughtful bit of bike thing i've ever seen oh completed it is that is that a doomer yeah it is straighten oh sick let's get out of here we've just arrived at tip tree skate park home of tip tree jam and all things flavoursome but we're not here to taste jam we're here to shred the gnar on this huge huge bike here i'm just going to jump that the jump box first go i'm not going to be able to drop in because it's terrifying but if i roll in next to that quarter should be some air time available oh the front wheel was so high i actually don't know why but i thought this was going to be an ultimate jump machine this jump box clearly isn't right for it but we did get a bit of air i mean more like the front wheel is way higher than the back but still good fun we're now going to see what it's like in that little bowl there and uh see if it can shred the knife dropping oh oh it rolls like an absolute dream oh that felt like the wheel was gonna bend then oh that is terrifying get up there and i'll at least try and get the front wheel over the coping with a cinematic floams right this bike really isn't made for skate parking just them little turns then was starting to feel like it was folding just because it's so big these rims there obviously way easier to be flexi so i don't want to destroy it just yet we're going to get out of here and go and ride the local mountain bike trails to see how it performs on berms and hopefully a few jumps also while we're here the new shirt sold out instantly so it's still limited edition you've got one last chance to buy it though i'm gonna open up sales on that until sunday the dates are here you've got until this day to buy it and then i'll make them so it's like a pre-order thing and once that's done that's done forever i'll get them made and i'll send them out to you so it's going to take a bit longer this time for me to get for you to get your products because they need to be made first but this is literally the last time just pedaled to the local woods to shred some trails let's see how this thing performs whoa oh oh my god it's incredible oh my god this is so good here we go oh oh oh that's scary oh [Music] insane into the big table oh that is mental the steering feels funny so scary oh so sketch yes incred oh absolute fire the steering feels funny though from those jumps let's have a look oh mike come here close look how bent the forks are whole bottom ray crown race thing is sticking out which means the forks are totally bent no wonder the steering was stiff that's so annoying i thought they'd have been extra strong it still works but that's actually terrifying cause you're already so high off the ground if they snap the plummet to your face is gonna be so so vicious oh man we got down the trail though it takes the bumps away of these huge tyres it's actually so good ah what we gonna do with that though damn okay we're gonna rack our brains and then decide what to do next with our brains fully racked and danger on the horizon with these bent forks there's only one thing left to do and that's to create some skid marks drop a tune [Music] well that was fun it's actually way harder to skid a pedal back brake bike though you gotta have you you gotta lie on your feet up wrong and then pedal back to slide it super fun though that's probably the best you could come up with right now those forks but we did have one more challenge for this bike that we could survive on and that is the skinny of doom in the mtb dream yard so let's go and check that out we're now in the backyard the bike is stood there waiting to skinny of doom it's actually so horrible i think if i get on though and full speed it rather than slowing it'll be fine it's the only problem is when your pedals basically you can't pedal backwards and you when you can't pedal backwards that's when you realize you do it a lot on a bike so i think i should have to go in cruise it hard and shred said nah let's clean it first go um no oh i'm up and i've stomped yes well i stomped that skinny then forks are still bent obviously riding that skinny didn't fix them so honestly if i can fit some very special forks on here and a mountain bike front wheel different bars and a front brake and shred it even harder let's get into that it is now another day and time to fit the fox 40 downhill forks to this absolute beauty but obviously we're not going to be able to fit the 36 inch front wheel on so we're going to run maybe a 26 or 27 front wheel but that's actually going to end up being about the same height so it should ride like a dream so i'm going to drop them out and we'll throw these forks in and see if we can make it happen oh that is so dangerous look how bent they are that is so close to snapping it's crazy because they're so thick and strong yet they use the worst bit of metal ever for that right let's get the uh foxes on them [Music] oh my god it couldn't be more made for it that's so it's like a tractor or something i said i wanted to put a front brake on but i think it looks so good brake looks like that that is ridiculous there yeah that is perfect i think i'm going to go over 27 from will fresh steez here we go all right let's go to the local woods then and try out the trails there on this new improved machine we're now into the local woods we have the ultimate beast and i'm about to hit a trail on it it's super weird because in that position you can't really tell but the forks are basically straight down it feels so strange to ride i'm going to start on these berms here see how it handles it could be perfect low center of gravity and all that sort of stuff that they talk about in bike videos sort of the bottom bracket being lower might help cornering like they always talk about i just think you should go send full speed and have fun so here we go boom boom boom fun fun fun drafting here we go let's see how it's going to perform on the trails so far so good oh my god that was actually a cutty oh my god that is so scary yes oh oh oh wow feet come off that was death like the pedals got stuck so i couldn't pedal backwards anymore otherwise it would touch the brake then i managed to do like a little no foot or an accident there this thing's ridiculous actually horrible so horrible that it's louise go get it lubes i just biked up the hill to get to this spot and actually feels surprisingly nice this bike so we've come to this little back line and i'm gonna drop in literally right now to see how well i can handle its performance wow oh do you remember there's no breath oh that was a cutty oh oh oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god i think that's ended the run really i forgot that it back breaks when you sort of like pedal backwards so i was doing some accidental skids and then bermson um actually really fun bike to ride like this probably wouldn't do a gap on it or anything after reviewing that slow motion from earlier but yeah well sick as you can see there louis made mince meat of that trail on this machine this is so fun i was just about to get this brain wave of seeing how hard i could cut it until the back wheel folds and breaks but why be destructive all the time what i'm actually going to do is not break it i'm going to take this thing home tighten every spoke get it tuned and ready fit a front brake on here and then take to a real downhill track somewhere with actual steepness and danger you guys can let us know what you think about that idea or where else we should actually ride it and we'll take into consideration and get this thing shredded hard because it is just such an amazing lovely piece of kit it's just i'm not ready to break it just yet so on that bombshell of huge back wheels smaller
