[Music] so I've been sent this boring head from banggood.com and I've been using it to die actually and I'm really quite impressed with it when I first had it I did take it apart see how it worked at cetera and there's a little gig strip that runs inside there and there's two pressure grub screws and the one in the middle is actually got a ball bearing behind so that's for sort of locking up but it's very well made actually quite impressed with it I had empty to suck it on there with a 3/8 thread for drawbar and you can also get metric arbors depending on what you need and obviously different sizes and you keep well seem to pieces but I can do now cuz obviously I've been using it and it's nice and tight overall length it's um three inches or 75 80 mm and it's approximately two inches across I was also sent a set of cutters and these are 12 mil diameter looks close ass and you've got 3 positions obsolete sent to position you've got an outside position if you doing bigger cuts and you've also got a side position so if you were doing well for pretty big damn holes actually so I'll probably never be using that so you want to set the cutter so it's um it's the cutting edge ease in the direction of the cut so you're gonna be increasing that sending it that way and you want to be approximately yeah I call that degree zero error isn't gonna make a difference but okay so you just tighten that up still not gonna tone it up too much and then you set it up in your machine obviously you need to hold for us to start so hole bigger than the diameter that is is ideal really and you set the pressure oh you know how much sort of told you it was annoying so you know wine maybe you can feel how much sort of drag the reason the gear by suppose and depending on how you want it you can set that obviously it on it loose but yeah that's probably a bit nicer so I normally just slacking that off set the dimension that I require and then just pinch that back up it's only needs a pinch with wild license nice and tight but yeah how he works basically obvious leaves rotating and you're trying to cut hole this was the one I've just been doing I opened that from 12 melts 20 mm and quite simply by advancing this cut and as you can see when you wind that across excuse my sister my crumbling so obvious you wind that across there you can see look it's a he basically pushes pushes that part of the Uni across obviously that's advancing that code there so anyway I'll show you some I'll show you some of the cutting I was doing earlier but this is the final piece stuff done and this was the whole of bored this is actually two pieces of core inch or six millimeter element in plate and they've been bolted together because it's all been made as one unit and it will eventually be split and have inserts into its like a 2 bar but from a beam engine building so it'll be the rocking part of the beam ng now I needed to pull that out to 20 mil too big to fit on the lathe to rotate around on me life could have mounted it on the top slide sorry the cross slide and you know use this in the use that in the in the actual live mandrel and you could do the same thing with that so still a useful tool even if you haven't got a milling machine but yeah there you go so 20 now 20 millimetres but yeah for my first ever first ever go with this I'm actually really quite pleased with it nice but a kick ball gauges on their angle pinch of pinch up the locking screw and then just rock it out as you're rocking squeezes in sets exercise and then you have to very carefully task micrometer I'll give you the size it's it's a very much very much a fail thing you sort of do the same thing yourself just gently rock it and you just feel the stickiness okay so that is a seventeen point four seventeen point three nine actually okay so so just it I just want to release the tension on the gibbeh and then I'm gonna increase another quarter of a millimeter round two twenty-five yeah come on say no another five to go I think that's now 725 let's move the cutter course with elevator in pinch the gift back up okay so I'm nearly there now another few buses and there I should have this board out to 20 millimeters it's very well finished very well made it's got a nice finish all the graduations are nice and clear the holes are all well bored tried to all the holes with the twelve Mills yank and yeah it all seems quite good um obviously it's Chinese mate so you're never gonna expect super quality but to be honest I can't actually fought this I've had it all apart when I first received it checked it out the Gibbs work well there's a little ball bearing in the center just to lock it all off this is obviously adjustable with the pressure you put on and yeah I can't really find anything wrong with it so it kind of the set of cutters as well so you've got nine cutters there so you got three different sizes of cutter and obviously three different lengths so obviously you want to keep it as short as possible to keep rigidity and the smaller ones are about eight mil to start with I think it goes up to be ten maybe twelve to the next size up I haven't used the others going to use this one cutter this is the first time I've ever used it and to be honest I'm actually quite impressed with it so well Thank You banggood for sending me this it's gonna be a real asset to my workshop so thanks for watching the video and if you like what you see please subscribe I've got various other videos on there on the my fat light back here and some videos on engine making models steam engines and stuff like that so I just hope the video wasn't too boring [Applause] [Music] you
