Revelation Bible Study Part 20, (The Mark of the Beast, Chapter 13)

[Music] amen praise the Lord if you'd like to take your seats okay let's dive straight in then let's go to Revelation chapter 13 Revelation chapter 13 let's start reading at verse 11 if you remember we looked at the beast the first beast at the beginning of Revelation chapter 13 the beast that came out of the sea and we looked at what the Bible imagery of metaphors are for that last time all the pictures of Antichrist and the kingdoms and the horns and the pictures the Bible gives us of what Antichrist Kingdom is we looked at that last time so we won't go over that again but now this time we're looking at the second beast remember there are two beasts there are few like two Antichrist we tend to call the first beast the Antichrist and we tend to refer to the second beast because revelation calls in this later on as the false prophet one is seen as a political and world leader the second one is a religious leader and we'll see why in a moment but they're both Antichrist okay because it's a system it's not just a person it is a person as well but it's all the things we looked at last time so we're looking at the second aspect of this endtime governmental system that's going to come in and this is the religious aspect of it because it's going to be a dual role it's a two-man program a two system Antichrist system so then I saw a second beast coming out of the earth it had two horns like a lamb but it spoke like a dragon it exercised all the authority of the first beast so the first beats gave it all its power on its behalf and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast whose fatal wound being healed and they performed great signs this second beast it performs great signs even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people read right down to the end of verse 18 because of the signs it was given power to perform behalf of the first beast it deceived the inhabitants of the earth it ordered them to set up an image in honor of the Beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived the second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast remember the word breath in Greek it's it's the same word for spirit wind it can be the same word so that the image could speak and cause all who refuse to worship the image to be killed it also forced all people great and small rich and poor free and slave to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark which is the name of the beast or the number of his name this calls for wisdom let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast for it is the number of a man that number is 6 6 6 now most people who've never read the Bible or maybe never even read the book of Revelation know that last bit there in chapter 13 so chapter 13 is often called the infamous infamous chapter in the book of Revelation because we all know that the number of the beast is a number of man and the number is 6 6 6 now we'll look at that at the end first of all we've got to understand this is all connected to the second beast it's a religious system yeah in partnership with the governmental willed system so it's a religious system and that the religious system that the governments of the world promote and accept and it's a religious system that promotes a governmental system they both Antichrist they both represented by these two beasts remember the beasts are also kingdoms as well as people their systems their organizations that all these things that we could use as a term then remember the first beast it was an empire represented by rulers heads and horns and we looked at how in the Bible it started in the beginning with Babylon the first religious system that was not including God it is building for itself starting with Nimrod the world leader he had a system of control over people and then we ended up looking at Judas Iscariot how he epitomized the Antichrist beast and so we're now going to look at the second part this second aspect of the Antichrist system the second beast it's a religious system and it's a leader so let's go back to verse 11 so verse 11 so what is the first thing we are told about the second beast now it's coming out to the earth we looked at that last time what that can represent but now look at what it says he had two horns like a lamb but speaks like a dragon now we've looked at this before but let's just rien Phasis this because in Revelation who's the lamb Jesus always yeah he's introduced as the lamb there when John is caught up into the throne room after chapter 4 and chapter 5 and then at the end of Revelation he still called the lamb it's the lamb who was slain the lamb is always Jesus the religious leader that is going to come and deceive the whole world looks like Jesus John says he looks like a lamb the lamb is Jesus so he looks like God's answer you're gonna get really confused tonight I just I'll just tell you that at the beginning because this is very confusing and God tells us this on purpose because when you relate in Revelation John is astonished even John can't fully comprehend all this this looks like God's thing but it's not it's Satan's Satan is going to copy that which is God's okay now remember you've got the governmental system and now you've got the religious system the religious system is going to deceive people into thinking this is God's Way this is how you get to God this is maybe even Jesus himself so maybe this is a Christian system yeah it looks like a lamb now he's not speaking the words of the lamb he's speaking the words of the dragon the dragon is Satan himself so we've already looked at in previous chapters so but it looks good so this world system might look Christian but if you actually listen if you actually read if you actually study what it says it's not Christian but outwardly can look like the lamb it can look Christian other religions are around like that now yes lots they look Christian there may even claim to be Christian but when you actually analyze what they actually believe they deny fundamental truths of what the Bible is some even deny Jesus is the Son of God well then it can't be Christian but it looks Christian this church's that call themselves a Christian but they deny the deity of Jesus Christ so is this anything to do with this Antichrist system it may be it may be just a picture or in type and really what's going to happen now in Revelation chapter 13 when you get to Revelation chapter 14 it shows us the 144,000 it says they follow the lamb wherever he goes okay he just go there revelation 14 in verse 4 right this is what follows this remember he looks like a lamb those who did not defile themselves with women for they remain virgins they follow the lamb wherever he goes they were purchased from among mankind and offered as first fruits to God and to the lamb right this is directly after this remember so you've got two lambs the two an outward observer wouldn't know the difference because the first one looks like a lamb but then these genuine ones are also following the lamb so the real question is which lamb ear following the right one or the wrong one and you can't tell by looking because the first one looks like a lamb we've got a dig deeper to notice the difference okay so go back to verse 11 them of chapter 13 so this lamb it tells us has two horns you remember when Jesus the lamb appeared at the beginning when John saw him in the beginning of Revelation he had seven horns the true lamb has seven horns why does he have seven horns well it's the number of perfection and completion and Jesus is perfect and complete yes but remember he was the one speaking to the seven churches you remember when we looked at the seven churches the seven churches Jesus has seven horns he has seven churches through the church age where he has revealed himself this false lamb has two horns could it be he pulls together two of those church systems you see horn in the Bible it's a symbol of power and authority it can be a symbol of a religious power or political power so he's combining the the religious and the political but could it be he's finally pulling together the two parts of Christianity so that this perfect unity and everyone's happy could it be that he's finally pulling together all these churches that are fighting against each other he finally pulls together all the Protestant side of the church and all the Catholic side of the church and he pulls it all together and creates one big lovely church that everyone's happy with and everyone can join and there's no more religious walls and this perfect peace and everyone's happy the only catch is you get killed if you don't join it well that's what happened in the Middle Ages well that's already happened could it mean different religious systems is pulling together my knobby Protestant and and Catholic perhaps it's sir Islam and Christianity that he pulls together and creates one religious autonomous system perhaps Judaism maybe not but the point is this thing that looks like God's religious system that the world believes is he pulls together these two hearts these two aspects to it he pulls them together and creates this one system now isn't that what most people want don't most people want church unity remember Jesus has seven horns he pulls all the seven churches together in unity in the true lamb this lamb can only pull two together because in the world's eyes if this is just a Christian thing and it looks like the lamb there's only really two sides of the Christian Church in there there's the Protestants and then there's the Orthodox Catholic side so if this beast can pull everything together then everything everyone's gonna think he's finally brought world peace and world unity together brought this religious system together now don't we believe in church unity yeah do we believe in church you remember he only looks like a lamb his words aren't the Lambs he speaks like a dragon it's not a unity based on the word it's a unity based on unity now Jesus when he prayer in John's John chapter 17 his high priestly prayer he said father I pray that there may be one he prayed that all his people would be united together but he said he that there would be itíd in the word his word his truth we absolutely do believe in church unity but it has to be based on God's Word you can't unite with someone who denies the truth and someone who doesn't believe Jesus is the Son of God cannot have church unity with the true Christian we can still love them but we can't unite with them in worship and faith because they deny the very thing they claim to believe so this guy is gonna do this he's gonna finally pull them all together all the Brussels the Muslims are our brothers that you know the Mormons are our brothers the Java's witnesses are our brothers we're all just one big religious system let's all join together and I'll get on with each other he's gonna pull it all together he's going to exercise all the authority there in verse 12 is going to pull together all this power so that the the state and the church become one United whole I mean we've seen that over and over again through the centuries anyway we saw with the Roman Empire be even seen in our nation just pull it all together the defender of the faith is also the head of state and the head of state is also the leader of the church and he backs the government and the government backs him whatever they say whatever they do so we've got all one system all working together we've seen in the past the Holy Roman Empire where the Emperor and the Pope's they sort of a point to each other and get on with each other so that they all get on together but anyone read the Bible for themselves and believe in the the true faith well they get killed because they're not supporting our system we see in Islamic countries with the molars and the Imams appointing the presidents of Islamic nations it's all just one system that people have to obey we see also in Judaism you see in any religion to be honest and so he's called the false prophet revelation 19 verse 20 if we can just go there just to confirm this so he's not just called the beast who looks like a lamb he but the Beast was captured and with it the false prophet who performed the signs on its behalf with these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the bee and worshiped its image and that's at the end whether they're thrown into the lake of fire so he's also called the fourth false prophet now does that mean what he prophesized is false or does he mean he's a genuine prophet who is using it for false ends that's always a little bit of a conundrum in the Bible because often false prophets in the Bible have genuine gifts of prophecy Balaam being the best example he was a he was man used by the devil but his prophecies were accurate don't be deceived by gifts so this guy is gonna come on the scene this guy remember Antichrist have already come this guy has always been on the scene these guys have always been around trying to create their own power base backing the government whatever the government does and just using their power to control people through a religious system okay let's go back to Revelation 13 then verse 12 then I want us to look at something very specific so he exercised authority of the first beast on its behalf made all the inhabitants worship the first beast whose fatal wound had been healed remember what happens is the first beast the governmental leader copies the resurrection he appears to die and come back to life he appears to have been off the scene and brought back on the scene remember what Antichrist he's doing he's going to copy what Jesus did so that all the world will be deceived and will wander after him they'll think well this must be God he's come back to life but it's a strange thing how it's described it says that there's an image created of him and he creates an image of this first beast and no one really knows what that means we've got some hints and some pictures in the Bible but what does it actually mean so he's copying Jesus and it performed great signs even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in fuel full view of its pea people so this beast is performing miracles and signs and wonders yeah look at verse 14 because of the signs signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast or because of this supernatural power that this false prophet has it deceived the inhabitants of the earth it ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived so people are now not just believing what this prophet is saying they're worshiping the head of the world government because he's died and come back to life and there's now this thing called His image that they're all worshiping okay are we confused yet now let me just try and really confuse you you'll notice a word that keeps cropping up and being repeated over and over again and I think this is the most important word we've said it several times because of the signs he was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast it deceived if you notice what we've been reading that word keeps appearing they were deceived the inhabitants of the world were deceived the false prophet deceived and I think this word is the key to understanding what is going on but it's a word that can be a bit confusing because by the very nature of the word deceived deceive deception it's a word we can it's it's a nun tangible isn't it what what is deception how do you know if you've been deceived well you don't deal because you deceived you know deceives people aren't deceived the only way you know if you are deceived is if someone else tells you you can't know okay it's self-evident you know you are d say you don't know oh I know no you don't that's the point the whole world believes this is God why do they believe that because they're deceived right now Satan is called the deceiver yeah Jesus called him that the Bible calls him that he's called many things that we looked at but he's called the deceiver he's the one who deceives yeah Genesis chapter 3 and verse 13 what was the first thing Satan did the Lord God said to the woman what is this you have done the woman said the snake the serpent deceived me and I ate okay the woman wants it had all gone wrong recognized that the first thing that went wrong was she was deceived understanding deception what that actually means is the key to understanding the spirit of Antichrist because this is how Satan always works before he can get you to sin he has to deceive you he has to get you to believe something that you think is true but isn't or get you to do something that you think is the right way but isn't or the right path to take but isn't okay so he's introduced as the deceiver and when you go to the end of in Revelation chapter 20 in verse 10 we don't need to go there he still called the deceiver so from the beginning of Satan's introduction in Genesis to the end of Revelation he's called the deceiver and when John's explaining about these beasts and this false prophet is saying it's about deception it's about deception it's about being deceived so the question we need to ask not just studying this for the sake of it but do we know whether we've been deceived because that's the key to understanding nobody thinks they are whatever they believe people think the earth is flat they're not deceived people think man didn't go to the moon people think we came from monkeys swinging out with trees you can believe whatever you want whatever anyone believes they don't think they're deceived but the Bible says this Antichrist system is predominantly about deception now he deceives people by doing signs and wonders he calls down fire out of heaven to earth think about that did people in the Bible call down fire from heaven to earth who Elijah who else someone else went up a mountain and fire came down from heaven to earth Moses Moses and Elijah who are Moses and Elijah the two witnesses now if you remember what we read when we looked at the two witnesses in the previous chapters what did they do fire came out of them and devoured so the sign that someone is from God is that fire comes down from heaven to earth yeah that's the sign the false prophet gives that's really helpful isn't it the sign what you remember the story of Elijah he took them up Mount Carmel What did he say the God who answers by fire fire that comes from heaven and burns up the sacrifice that's the true God yeah what happened fire came from heaven to earth so who's the true God the God of Elijah yeah Moses went up Mount Sinai fire came down on top of the mountain yeah when when Elijah went up on the another mountain another Hill and people came to arrest him the soldiers what did he say he says if I'm a true man of God if I'm a true prophet let fire come from heaven and burn you up right on every occasion fire came from heaven and so that is proof that they are a true man of God yeah so the false prophet is a true man of God no well somebody help me then because that's the sign he is no it's no if you go to Luke chapter 9 and verse 54 when the disciples James and John Jesus two witnesses saw this someone had not done what they wanted they asked Lord do you want us to call down fire from heaven to destroy them but Jesus turned and rebuked them actually going to the King James because the NIV does its naughty thing here a missing bit sound which he shouldn't do so they want to call down fire from heaven and destroy them verse 55 Jesus turned rebuked them and said you do not know a manner of spirit you were of that's a pretty stone rebuild when you tell two apostles they've got the wrong spirit but if it's not the Holy Spirit which spirit is it what's the difference he's very subtle it's very subtle in the Old Testament God answered by fire and judgment but jesus said verse 56 the Son of man hasn't come to destroy men's life but to save them it's not whether it's a sign it's whether the signs being used correctly they wanted to use a legitimate sign to destroy people and in the New Testament Jesus says no that's not why I'm here in the Old Testament that's what happened because they were under the law it would either blessing or curse and if you reveal God you got cursed but in the New Testament Jesus brings grace you see it's a very subtle difference but if you don't know the difference you're gonna get deceived if you don't understand it's not about signs and wonders it's about why they're being used yeah I'll emphasize this again in a minute because I think a lot of the church had already on the deception because they automatically equate if it's a sign and a wonder then it's automatically God no it is not it depends on the reason it's being used because this was usually in the Old Testament a sign from God but Antichrist is gonna use it as a sign to prove he's from God and he's the devil so this thing about deception would you admit is pretty important because this is how Satan always works this is his this is his primary tool before he will do anything else he'll deceive you yeah I know people that hate me for something I haven't done but you will not convince them I haven't done it because they really believe I've done it you know and I want them to forgive me for something I haven't done which is really hard and sometimes that they probably hate me for the rest of their lives and I haven't done it because once you deceived it's got you you believe it it's entrapped you now this word this Greek word play or deceived deception is always used in connection with end times in fact it's the primary sign that we're in the end times the amount of deception there is that's always them it's not earth quakes it's not it's not famines that's mentioned but not as much as deception you will find over and over again this word deception is mentioned ok I've put a little chart together just linking where Jesus are where the Apostles explain what deception is and if we look at all of these this might take a while but it's important because the primary thing about understanding this is understanding what deception is because it's so subtle you can be deceived saying can deceive you you don't even know he's spoken never mind you've been deceived because he'll use someone else to go through it now ok so this deception there that we just read the false prophet is going to use this is going to deceive the whole world remember it's this deception now in the Bible Jesus always warns us of what deception does first time Matthew 13 verse 22 Matthew 13 verse 22 this is where Jesus talks about the parable of the seeds and all the seeds are good some people don't accept the seed some you know the seed that snatched away by the birds some seed falls on the path and is trampled but it's the third seed it's the third seed that's the worst seed can we just go there Matthew 13 verse 22 the seed falling on the thorns refers to someone who hears the word but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word this is Jesus speaking Jesus says wealth is deceitful yeah he doesn't say wealth is wrong fires not wrong it's what it's being used for so wealth is deceitful okay do we believe Jesus what was Jesus first temptation when Jesus came was taken to the mountain by set and what is Satan do I'll give you all this what did Jesus say get lost well don't you want all the world oh I'm gonna get all the world but I'm not gonna do it your way I'm gonna do it my way which is dying on behalf of all the people I love okay so remember what this it is it's a misuse of something that might be a legitimate thing yeah got that principle cause you'll see a pattern now as we start to go down go back to the PowerPoint Matthew next one Matthew 24 no you remember Matthew 24 is where Jesus teaches on end times the Olivet discourse the whole of Matthew 24 and the whole of Matthew 25 now they purposely asked Jesus the disciples they purposely say to him what are the signs of the end of the age and then because Jesus takes two chapters to answer the question we we can easily get confused about all these different signs you know the nation's and the term on the walls and rumors of walls and the earthquakes and the famines and all the things we've looked at with the opening of the seals and the trumpets we can we can forget what is the actually the single biggest warning he gives because he repeats the over and over again it doesn't repeat the other stuff over and over again there's one thing he repeats over and over again right look at Matthew 24 and verse 4 what will be the sign watch out that no one deceives you yeah what's the sign oh no that is the sign Jesus is answering their question we think he's giving a preamble to what the signs are no he's not he's telling us what the sign is for many will come in my name claiming I am the Messiah and will deceive many yeah tell us the signs I've just told you - you're gonna be deceived and you're gonna be deceived four times here Jesus repeats you're gonna be deceived four times when you've got something said by God four times it is not gonna say again four Gospels you've got enough four times you're gonna be DC four times watch out that no one deceives you for many will come in my name claiming what I am the Messiah remember Messiah is a Hebrew word this is in Greek the Greek word some of your translations will actually say that it says Christ Christo's Messiah is Hebrew and Christos is Greek for anointing anointed one don't miss translate it thinking that's just a title no it is a description of someone who is anointed what will deceive you someone's anointing I won't be deceived by that well most Christians I know where most Christians I know will go along with anyone if they've got an amazing anointing they don't know anything about their lives they don't know what they're doing but they've got an amazing anointing watch out many many will come saying I've got the anointing I'm the anointed one or if only I could have his anointing you deceived your already deceived watch out that no one deceives you how I finally I could be anointed like you'd already deceived Jesus is the anointed one what do you want someone else is anointing for you've already been deceived claiming there are how many people today do you find claiming that their anointing or my they talk about the anointing no one cares about your anointing that's between you and God you shouldn't be talking about it have you noticed Jesus never went about saying he was the Christ do you know why because he was and he knew he was and his father knew he was and the Holy Spirit knew he was everybody else that's your choice but he never said it only on two or three occasions where he was fast and did you judicial law did he actually owned own up to it most of the time he just let him speak for himself did write a book on it how to receive the anointing of the Messiah in seven easy steps it would have been true but he didn't do it did he deceived by people claiming their anointing how many people will follow someone because their anointed the church is anointed we're all anointed by God if you've got the Holy Spirit there's different functions and different gifts and so therefore by definition different anointings no one in the Old Testament tried to chase after someone else's anointing they knew they couldn't if you're anointed king you were anointed king if you're anointed priests you were anointed priests if you're a knighted prophet you were anointed a prophet you couldn't go and get the anointing of a king if you weren't one let's go back to the chart now you might start to see a pattern because the next thing Jesus warns about of endtime signs still in Matthew 24 is found in verse 10 can we go there Matthew 24 in verse 10 Matthew chapter 24 in verse 10 at that time many remember they've asked him about the times and the end times and what's gonna happen to you says at that time in those end times here's what's gonna happen many will turn if away from the faith and will betray and hate each other why they've probably been let down by someone else's anointing that they believed in when they shouldn't have and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people there'll be one or two prophets and one or two people who were a bit bonkers we'll follow them no there will be many prophets and they will deceive many people Jesus talking about the last times the end times what John's saying in Revelation many prophets false prophets but the false prophets a false prophet but he does genuine science I was starting to get confused or I was starting to have our eyes opened go back to the chat because when I was thinking about this and just looking up the places I didn't manipulate this I just looked at where the word deceived this Greek word planio is because this is what revelation tells us this Antichrist primary tactic I found a very disturbing list go to the next one Matthew 24 verse chapter 24 verse 24 the next time Jesus warns about deception for false anointed ones Christ false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive possible even the elect even the best of the best might go along with this or are they doing now these four anointed ones the prophets where they're doing now performing great signs and wonders not false signs and wonders great signs and wonders go back to the chat have you noticed something about all these things that Jesus links to deception because if you were to look and here's where some people aren't gonna like me and I don't even know fully what this means but if you were to look at the average charismatic Pentecostal conference its entire focus is these things how to get rich and how to prosper how to have a greater anointing how to move in the prophetic how to perform signs and wonders and these are the very things Jesus says these are the things that people are going to get deceived by now here's the confusing thing are these things bad no they're all good but if the wealth one remember if that's the thing you are wanting you are already deceived you will be choked you will be unfruitful if you're just doing this to get an anointing so you have power you are already deceived if you just want to be prophetic so you can predict the future so you can get one and over on everybody else and people think you're a great person you're already deceived you're not going to be deceived you already are if you want signs and wondered why do you want signs and wonders to prove God is amongst you do you know when Jesus was amongst and they would come to him and test him and say the farm as a sign jesus said a sinful and generation the sinful generation looks for a sign none will be given to it you've got me here why do you want me to do another miracle you want it for your own satisfaction for your own excitement and you're not satisfied with the presence of God who was there in front of them they wanted another thing I even have tissue so I just like to see the power of God why we do see the power of God but it's manifest through God through his presence through his word through prayer through his church through him doing good things not for the sake of seeing the power of God some people just like manifestations the Bible says that's a way to deception there are all good things go to 1 Corinthians 6 verse 9 next one I want us to look at these because the more of read revelation the more I realized that is the deception that's the key to understanding how Antichrist will work here's G he is Paul talking to the Corinthian church do you not know now when Paul saying that he's been a bit sarcastic it means you should know but you obviously don't seem to have got this so let me just explain it to you do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God do not be deceived neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God why does he say do not be deceived because he knows a lot of them are deceived and for some reason think I can be saved and still do all that no you can't you have been deceived go back to the chart please you see in the Christian world today we have something that's got lots of terms sometimes it's labeled hyper grace greasy grace false grace it's the belief that God is so gracious he will save you and then let you go and do whatever you want and live any lifestyle you want to live do not be deceived you cannot inherit the kingdom of God if you then choose to live a lifestyle that is against what God has called you to live oh no God loves me God does love you God gives me grace God does give you grace there's nothing greater than grace it's amazing but you're deceived if you think grace allows you to do what you want it doesn't it empowers you to live correctly but in the last days this false appropriation of grace will deceive Christians into thinking they can live any life they want and God will still save them no you've been deceived Antichrist will use this once again it's up there people teaching all the time today what's the next one 2 Thessalonians 2 chapter 2 verse 2 let's go there this is a this is a self-evident one but nevertheless it's around all the time today 2 Thessalonians 2 verse 2 I'll read verses 1 to 3 so you get the whole context concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ yeah and our being gathered to him there's two aspects to it he's gonna come we're gonna be gathered to him we ask you brothers and sisters not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us allegedly from a genuine Christian source whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter whether it's in a book whether it's on you know Christian TV whether it's a preacher asserting that the day of the Lord has already come don't let anyone deceive you what are the Thessalonians been deceived about they've been deceived that all the events Paulette told them about had already happened Paul said do not be deceived concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and ever being caught up to be with him you know there has never been a time I think in the Christian world where so many people are deceived about the simplicity of the coming of the Lord oh that's not gonna happen what are you talking about that's not gonna happen oh it's just something that happened in the past it's already happened what Bible are you reading but through prophecy or word of mouth or they've read something or you know Wikipedia said this all that's already happened they has not already happened you've already been deceived some people don't even think there is any end times that the Jesus isn't coming that there is no rapture people even openly teach all this stuff that they all know it's not going to happen you've already been deceived you've already lost it they all the Apostles wrote about this go back to the chart and please Paul taught about it continuously John wrote letters about it just about this Jesus talked about it in his biggest teachings some churches never mention it next one then first Timothy chapter 2 verse 14 can we go there now this is one that's often misused Adam was not the one deceived it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner now the context here without reading the previous few verses is that I'm sure you've heard this verse misquoted that the woman must be in submission to the man and some people reject this cuz they say all that sexism that's you know of divisive they're missing the point it's not about whether a woman is equal with God at all that's not what he's even talking about it's talking about the deception that happened in the beginning Eve was deceived because she believes something the serpent said when Adam knew it wasn't true yeah Adam knew because he had a history with God before Eve was created so Eve was deceived why was Eve deceived the previous verses tell us because she was not in submission she didn't make herself accountable to someone who had greater authority and information that's why she was deceived one of the biggest problems with deception is that people do not make themselves accountable and they're not in submission to anyone they don't have anyone in authority to speak into their lives there is never been a time in the Christian world where this is as rampant as it is now everyone today thinks they know everything because we've got Google so we think we know everything better than everybody else so we don't need to listen to everyone it's not primarily about husbands and wives it's about God's original creation that the woman was created after the man so the man knew something the woman didn't know it's nothing to do with sexism it's not because she was a woman it's because she'd not been around as long as the man now I'm flying out to India tomorrow and if I get on the plane I'm walking to the cockpit and there's a lady pilot if I say to the lady pilot oh you you're not flying this plane I'm flying it what would she say from that arrest me and throw me off the plane now she might say that sexist well I might not have been saying it because she was a woman I might have been saying excite though I could fly the plane but she knows account so she might use the sexist argument but actually that's that's not the reason the reason I should not be allowed to fly the plane is I have not had as much experience of flying the plane as she asked so she should fly the plane because she I should be in submission to her abilities and her authority and her training and her knowledge nothing to do with man and woman is to do with the principle of who knows what to do if you don't know that you have to be in submission to someone who knows a bit more about the Bible and knows a bit more about the things of God than you if you don't know that you're already deceived the longer I live the more scared I am to do things without checking with someone who's been around a bit long than I am I need to check these things I need to submit these things but deception is rampant today in people don't submit anything to anybody I can do what I want well you're already is deceived okay let's go through the next ones then go back to the chat go to the second chart it's important to understand this aspect of deception so that we don't get deceived so in Matthew chapter 27 and verse 63 will not turn to that but John mentions this in his epistle as well he says anyone who believes that Jesus has not come in flesh has already been deceived you'll notice in Matthew chapter 27 the the Pharisee said that Jesus was a deceiver because he wasn't going to rise from the grave it's interesting that there's still one locked it though like yes or 30 mine didn't you literal facts of the Bible if you don't believe in the literal facts of the Bible you are deceived people didn't believe Jesus was really gonna rise from the grave they were deceived he was people didn't really believe John tells us that Jesus came in the flesh it's just like a moral philosophy it's just a good teaching it's just a spiritual application Jesus isn't really going to come back yes he is yeah but not physically yes physically what terrain in physically in Jerusalem yes we live in an age where people spiritual eyes things and miss out the literal simplicity of the Bible okay let's just go through a few more just this next chant then we'll move on to something else Galatians chapter 6 verse 7 we don't need to go there do not be deceived whatever you saw sow sow you shall reap living in an age where we think there are no moral consequences to our actions Oh God's forgiven me yeah but it depends what you've done people cause trouble in massive trouble in church and then think oh well everything's okay no you've caused massive damage then a stove now be a period of discipline it's nothing to do with salvation and forgiveness is to do with you now going to reap what you've sown we're living in an age where Christians don't believe that anymore they think they can do what they want and get away with it don't be deceived you're mocking God there are consequences to our actions next one is the Antichrist going to use all of these people aren't gonna believe in the literal facts of the Bible they'll just believe in the signs and wonders that the false prophet does in the fact that everybody's happy and getting on with each other there won't be any consequences you'll just go to Mass and get forgiveness or you'll just go to the Imam or the pastor or whoever and they'll just forgive you forever lifestyle you're living John chapter 1 verse 45 this is an interesting one can we go to this one because this is almost counterintuitive but it's very illuminating when we see what's going on here Philip found Nathanael and told him we have found the one Moses wrote about in the law about whom the prophets also wrote Jesus of Nazareth the son of Joseph Nazareth can anything good come from there Nathanael asked come and see said Philip when Jesus saw Nathanael approaching notice what he says here he said of him here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit there is no deceit in him that's one of the best commendations Jesus could never give anybody this man is not deceived now hold on a minute Jesus this guy has just said you're not the Messiah yeah verse 45 we found the Messiah he's from Nazareth and was Philips response you are having a laugh there is no way he's the Messiah coming from there I thought this is the guy in whom there is no deceit yeah but even though he thinks this isn't right what does he do he comes to Jesus to find out right and he doesn't say anything but Jesus says you're not deceived now he hasn't said anything the only thing he said is wrong have we all been there all I've done is get things wrong but I've just got the biggest statement right how are you saved by confessing Jesus as his Lord right the single one of the single one thing in life you want to get right is that your confess Jesus is the Messiah yeah that's the one thing Philips got wrong so he's blown it big-time no Jesus says there's no deceit in him why because despite what he thought despite what he said he still came to Jesus to find out anyway can we see that and that's why Jesus says this guy is not deceived why because I'm gonna come to Jesus and find out even though I don't think this is right I mean most of us came to Christ that way didn't we I mean the first time I came to church I thought how come on we'll see what this bunch of loonies are doing you know they'll obviously all deluded but he came to Jesus come and see so he came to Jesus to find out the facts and the moment he did that Jesus says you're not deceived because she's gonna try and find out sadly we're living in an age where people won't even come to Jesus and find out I don't know what I think well you deceived then there's none of us know what we think it's only through coming to Jesus you get clarity and that's why he wasn't deceived because he came to Jesus we all get things wrong we all say dumb things but if we come to Jesus we will discover the facts okay let's go down then let's just go through these last three quickly so in first Timothy four just go there first Timothy four verse one another way people are deceived and this is one the Antichrist is going to use very clearly the spirit clearly says that in the last days the later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits remember this is what the false prophet utilizes deceiving spirits and things taught by demons now what are these things you would think what's so bad that deceiving spirits deceivers and they're taught by demons such teachers come through hypocritical liars whose consciences have been seared as with the hot iron right then he tells us what these really bad things are and they're not what you would think they're forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods oh is that it that's the dissent that's the deceiving spirit that's taught by demons you can't get married and you can only earn food what's he talking about surely those things aren't that bad are they yeah but you see when you bring those in through a religious system I mean you look at what's happened in some high-profile religious systems you ban a pastor or religious leader from marrying so the very the very thing he was created for sexual unity it's denied and that sexual power comes out through abuse in others and when you enforce that in a religious system you can't get married you can't eat that food you can't do this and this legalism is enforced this teaching comes through hypocritical liars whose consciences have been seared as with the hot in others because that's on my conscience you can't do it you can't eat that food you better wear that hat you better dress like this you better do what I say you better marry who I say you can marry or you better not marry if I say you don't marry why because that's on my conscience I'm gonna enforce it upon you but you've been deceived if you are doing something just because someone made you do it you can't find that in the Bible but my pastor says I've got to do it even though it's not in the Bible no no you've been deceived it's just a religious system by deceiving spirits and the King James calls it the doctrines of demons you're doing it just through a religious sense of duty instead of because you know God wants you to do it next one so there that's displayed in all kinds of religious legalism you will have to worship the Beast or you will be killed doesn't matter what the Bible says doesn't matter what religious teaching is doesn't even matter about normal ethics you do what I say or else you're out you're dead 2 Corinthians 11 and verse 3 Paul there talks about a different gospel can we just go there 2 Corinthians 11 verse 3 but I am afraid that AUC always uses this illustration you see he's not talking about men and women he's talking about the understanding of deception and how that works he's talking to the church he knows the church is the Bride of Christ but I'm afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the snake spinning your minds have somehow been led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ for if someone comes to you and preaches G's preaches of Jesus other than the Jesus we preached or if you receive a different spirit from the spirit you receive or a different gospel from the one you accepted you put up with that easily enough a different gospel I wonder if you ask the average Christian what the gospel actually is whether they can actually tell you what it is God loves you yes he does that's not the gospel God wants you to have a good life possibly but that's not the gospel what is the gospel Paul actually illustrates and illuminates what the gospel is word for word in his letter to the Corinthians the Jesus came and died on your behalf that you repent from your sins he was crucified and he died and after three days he rose again that's the gospel Christ died for you so that you now can die to self and follow him it's not God loves me I can have a nice life that might be true that's not the gospel people caught you've been deceived if you believe a different gospel okay then last couple then so Antichrist is going to use these things in Ephesians five verse five and six James also talks about this if we can just look at that one if agents 5 and verse 5 for this you can be sure no immoral impure or greedy person such a person is an idolatry has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ or of God let no one deceive you with empty words because of these things God's wrath the end time of God's wrath especially comes upon those who are disobedient James says the same thing he says don't be deceived don't listen to the word and then disobey it we're living in an age where Christians somehow think we don't have to obey what God told us now we're not talking about sins obviously we're not supposed to do that we're talking about God clearly telling us he wants us to do something and for some reason we think that's optional well I know God wants me to do that but I'm not gonna I mean some Christians don't even think God wants them to come to church oh well you know God's not bothered I think you'll find years disobedience is deception not doing the simple things you know God wants you to do you've been deceived once you accept that you end up in the lifestyle of disobedience you'll go along with anything because you're already deceived you already don't think you have to obey God you already think your Christian life is just whatever you want to do it is saved you're heading for disaster last one then 1 Corinthians 3 verse 18 they deceive they will follow the worldly wisdom of this world and the vain philosophies of men that surround us all today you go to some churches they're just teaching self-help principles the philosophies of this world how many Christians now are teaching nothing more than political ideologies some Christians you look on if you look on their Facebook all they do is tell you which politician they should be supporting well I'm voting for Jesus yeah but you've got to be practical no you haven't Jesus wasn't being practical when Jesus stood on trial he didn't say vote for the Pharisees of the Sadducees of the zealots or the Herodians of the Romans he says my kingdom is not of this world I'm on the side of Jesus that doesn't mean you don't have to do good and use your Democratic vote all that but understand the principle it's not about the philosophies and the worldly wisdom of this world if you think that's the answer you will welcome Antichrist with open arms because he is going to give us everything we ever wanted but it's a lie okay so deception deception is his key weapon and that's the thing we have to be very careful of okay let's go to Revelation 13 verse 15 then let's pick up where we left off before we looked at those charts revelation 13 verse 15 the second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast so that the image could speak and cause all who refuse to worship the image to be killed so this second beast when this first beast dies and then sort of comes back to life that might be an empire as well as a literal person and the religious beast focuses on this thing called the image the image of the Beast and this is what people have to worship yeah the image of this beast now the Beast is the devil yeah the dragon Satan the old serpent he's the one who creates this beast so he's his image that he's obsessed about now straight away as a Christian you should start to sort of understand what this means what is Satan trying to do he's trying to copy God yeah through copying what Jesus is through copying what the false prophet is doing remember God is a Trinity so this is a satanic Trinity yeah there is the dragon there is the first base take this three of them operating as Father Son and Holy Spirit copy copying the attributes of the Trinity on earth they will also have a false bride just as God had his church the true bride will read in the next chapters that this false prophet and this beast have what's called the harlot of Babylon she's not a bride she's a prostitute but she's the woman the religious system the false church who will do Satan's bidding so here is focusing on this thing called the image now does God have an image what is it now Jesus isn't the image of God Jesus is God we are created in the image of God yeah that means nothing clearer than that that's stated right back at the beginning of Genesis let us make God in our image the Trinity talking to themselves saying we will create man in our image so in the image of God man was created very clear Jesus even alluded to it when he talked about the image so what's Satan going to do he's trying to copy God now you're created in the image of God what does that mean does that mean you will look like God maybe you're in a certain aspect but I don't really think that's what means it's this thing called bearing the image of God being an image bearer just as God has three parts to him so you have three parts to him to yourself yeah God is body soul and spirit Father Son and Holy Spirit so you have spirit soul and body but that's not all what it means it's much deeper than that the image is the thing God lives in because you're you're an image bearer God lives in you yeah if when a woman wants to bear something in area me she births a child yeah the child was in there yeah there's nothing more the image of a mother than her daughter where was the daughter in her he came out of her yeah was something you need to understand about what Satan's ultimate plan is he wants to be in you remember Judas Satan entered him demons enter people why they want to use you for their image they want to express themselves through you is the this that desire of lust and rape a man wants to put himself in the woman just to gratify himself it's an evil thing and so Satan is now setting up this image that everyone has to bow down and worship but he wants his image in you and this is really what we need to understand about what the mark of the beast is it is something Satan is going to put in you on you so that you no longer bear the image of God but you are bearing the image of the Beast Satan okay that's his ultimate aim that's that's always been his aim he will sit himself in God's holy temple proclaiming himself to be God we know that Antichrist Jesus Daniel they all the prophecies said that Antichrist when he comes he's going to put himself in God's temple yeah and so we know the temple is going to be rebuilt and the abomination of desolation is going to be set up and Antichrist is going to seat himself as God in God's temple that's all absolutely true I believe that is prophecy but there's something that people overlook who's the you that was just a temple of stone your body is the temple of God Satan's ultimate plan is to be in that temple to possess you to have something in you so he can control you so you bear His image his plan from creation was to get into the being of a person not just the Antichrist and the false prophet everybody so that he could control everybody so that he has something in everybody's physical body that he can control control and then this image is interesting it's not the Beast himself it's something he creates that controls everybody but it has all the attributes of the Beast it thinks like him speaks like him but it's something created now some people say well is it a statue is it is it you know there's all kinds of theories today is it a computer is the artificial intelligence is it something that someone creates that can control everyone on the planet is this what's linked to this mark of the beast that causes everyone to have to obey this now we get pictures of it in the Bible all the time Nebuchadnezzar statue where people had to bow down to the statue not Nebuchadnezzar himself he created something that was his way of controlling everybody and it's interesting that it says the second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast so that the image could speak it's saying they remember that word breath spirit how did God put his image in you he breathed his spirit into you yeah he did that with Adam even Jesus when he rose from the grave what was the first thing he says he walked to them and he said peace and he says he breathed into them as had received the Holy Spirit he was putting himself in his people you're an image-bearer of God why because God lives in you the Beast is going to get something in you to control you now he's done that throughout history through demons and demonic spirits but now he appears to be doing something far more subtle and it's this thing called this mark that he's going to put on or in people the word in Greek is the same some version will say a mark in people sometimes it will say on people because it can be translated either way and he wants to put this in people so that he can control people God says anyone who receives the mark of the beast will never be saved they will no longer bear the image of God they'll bear the image of the beast anyone who receives the mark of the beast was cast into the lake of fire that's not because God's cruel is because they no longer bear His image they have taken another image they've belonged to someone else okay so it's linked to all this what is this man what is this thing what is this 666 this mark that's on them now we've already looked at that when God saves people in the Old Testament he put the tower we put the mark on their foreheads it's for heads or hand and the the 144,000 they receive a mark that saves them people who were rejected by God they all received a mark as well Cain received a mark because he went away from God and the Beast is going to put this mark on people as well so we've seen that before looking at it in the Old Testament now some people think that this thing is what's called an RFID chip that you know is going to be implanted into people's physical bodies some kind of computer chip that will control all your actions monitor everything you do and that may be so and if it's linked to this image of the Beast does it mean it's linked to this super artificial intelligence computer that can basically know everything about you and control your even even your thoughts and your actions now thinking well that science fiction actually it's not that technology is around today a lot of military people have these chips already put in them now you think of the logic you think of the benefits if we're all chipped so one supercomputer knows everything that's happening with everybody on the planet just think about the benefits of that right there can be no crime because you can't steal anything because all monetary and finance and transactions go through a chip that's in your hand through a computer so you can't buy or sell anything anywhere so you can't steal anything because it monitored and and the computer would know by GPS where you were anyway so you can't bring into someone's house because they'd know where you were so all crimes eliminated all tax evasions eliminated all terrorism is eliminated straight away you can't be a terrorist killing people because everyone knows where you are no one can be kidnapped because everyone knows where everyone is the computer monitors everyone you can't lose your kids some whether that without Simon's can't get lost no one can get lost because their computer knows where everybody is is this what it is it may be it may be something else what I'm just suggesting is these are possibilities these are some things that that people you know speculate maybe it's a system of control of the whole world in society now it's not just the technology it's the person using it yeah you've got to understand that it's the person in control of it controls everyone who has this and they have to adhere to their religious system you think about the benefits of this think of the medical benefits no one can die of something that they weren't aware of there can be no medication problems because instead of having to ask someone where they can just scan the chip and they know everything about the medical history it's all there so you can't forget to give someone in hospital something because the chip tells them what all their medication needs a would it be wonderful if we were all chipped and that one central system controlled everything we did so that none of us would make mistakes none of us would get lost none of us could have died accidentally because of medical procedures none of us could have anything stolen from us because no one could sell what they took there be no terrorism because we know where the terrorists were you'll be able to buy weapons of firearms because to be no ability to buy yourself without using your chip and they'd know straightaway what you'd bought to be no black markets cuz the be no mone is this what it is there be no security issues heaven on earth yeah but who would control that you see we already have that I don't mean the chip I mean the Holy Spirit living in his believers God already knows where you are he knows who you are he knows what you need huh he's with you all the time he watches over you he'll never leave you he'll never forsake you you'll always have what you need you already have all that in Jesus Christ but God doesn't manipulate you or control you he leaves it according to your free will to follow him and obey his directions which is perfectly fine but this beast won't do that he will demand total loyalty and worship to his religious system and he'll know whether you've done it or not because there'll be a mark on you that records everything you do now what is this mark is the number of a man is the number of his name what does that mean let's go to verse 18 chapter 13 verse 18 this calls for wisdom let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast for it is the number of a man that number is 6 6 6 ok so the Bible just 1 verse there says okay this is how you know what this system is this is how you know this Antichrist system of religion is to do with economics it's to do with buying and selling it's to do with politics and socio geographic systems political systems of the world calls for wisdom the personnel has insight calculate the number of the beast for it is the number of a man that number is six six six okay what does that number mean what does 666 mean because people speculate throughout history about what six six means now one way of understanding what 666 means is to use the ancient system of Demetria where you take numbers as letters or letters which also are numbers the best way to understand this I think I put a little chart together about this we're all familiar with Roman numerals yeah okay he put up that chart line one please so using demetria a Roman numeral is a letter but it's also a number yeah now the ancient world Hebrew and Greek as well they didn't have numerical symbols they use letters so every word is also a number yeah it's pretty straightforward you think about it so I've just put some Roman numerals there now they actually spell words yeah mild livid civil but they're not words they're numbers and so we sort of get that you know X is 10 yeah and so you can work out what those words mean numerically and you can add up a numerical value you can do that with Hebrew and Greek now some people get so into that they get obsessed with it but we all have names my name is David yeah which in Hebrew is three Hebrew letters yeah Dalit valve Dalit yeah three Hebrew letters David yeah now Dalit is the Hebrew number four yeah valve is the Hebrew number six and then another Dalit is the Hebrew number four so you've got the numerical value is 14 yeah two sevens come on oh yes no six is in my name yeah now some people make a massive play on that I don't actually think that's primarily there may be something in that possibly now one of the early church fathers who we've discussed before who talked about end times an awful lot was a man called erroneous who was a disciple of Polycarp the Apostle John so he's one of the write early disciples and he did a lot of writing and he said that if you add up the numerical value of 666 and spell it out it spells the word tighten which it does now some people try and twist it the thing about names is there's more than one way of spelling a name and I've just give you my name but if you if you said Dave instead of David it comes out at a totally different numerical value and I Renea said that the numerical value of 666 is the word tighten which it is exactly what does that mean well the tighten tighten according to Josephus and other jewish greco jewish writers was the greek word for the nephilim so if that's true is God giving us a hint there that 666 he's one of the return of the Nephilim one of the half angelic half-human beings that's a possibility Josephus says Titan was the the word the Greek word for the for the the Jewish word Nephilim to fall and their folly the fallen ones okay so that's possible but you can go on forever about that people try and twist is it Hitler is it Caesar and they try and twist it to be 666 but I don't really think that's primarily what it means but there may be something in it but language do you use do you see really use Greek they use Latin they use all three it's unlikely that all three would come up with the same number so I'm not so sure it's that one the next one is mmm just as God is a Trinity a perfect Trinity so you could say God's number would be 777 by the way do you know what Jesus's name is in geometry anyone know what is what is numerical if you add up it the lecturers the the numbers of the letters of his name do you know what it comes down 8 8 8 8 is the number of Resurrection in the Bible the perfectly resurrected one another another thing too to grasp is number 6 is the number of man in the Bible yeah Genesis 1 verse 31 man was created on the sixth day so he's associated with the number six there are actually six different words in the Bible for man Adam being the one that we tend to use most but there's actually six different words for the name man do you know there's six different words for the name snake as well is it that is half man half serpent I don't mean physically a serpent I mean satanic so you find that this number six crops up in bad ways six times the people said Jesus had a devil it's ironic that you know the man who really is the devil will be personified by this number six six times they demanded Jesus give them a sign so when you look you'll notice throughout the Bible this number six always that bad connotations attached to it this the certain words that occur six times like abomination and bad words the crop up six times as though God's giving as a hint of all these bad things about the number six so it's a it's a repetition of of all these bad things next one some people think well three sixes is the number eighteen now the number 18 in the New Testament only occurs three times all in the same chapter all in Chapter 13 of Luke and each time it's associated with a bad thing is associated with death is associated with bondage and it's associated with oppression the remember Jesus says do you think that these 18 who were killed who died were worse sinners than everyone else why has Satan bound this woman for 18 long years he directly associate the earthwork of the devil to the number 18 so is that what it means well it might be a hint but I'm not so sure I would put too much on that either the next one that you can go to that we've already mentioned in the Bible now I'm using biblical illustrations yeah there's no point looking all over the place if God says let us use wisdom let us use insight well the best way you get wisdom and insight is by reading what God says about it not by the latest you know conspiracy theory about what you think it might be you look at what the Bible says so the next one if you go to Daniel chapter 3 and verse 1 you don't need to turn to it but in Daniel chapter 3 and verse 1 the king of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar sets up an image and there are three sixes associated with the image there are six musical instruments playing and the image is six cubits by sixty cubits six six six people being forced to bow down to an image so I think God is showing us very clearly through the pattern of the Bible that what's going to happen is there's going to be a reemergence of the Babylon system of total control nebuchadnezzar called himself the king of kings and Lord of lords and he made people bow down if they didn't bow down what happens they were killed it's interesting that most people bow down there are only a few didn't so is that what it means I think that is a metaphor and picture of what it means through religion and governmental authority the next time that you find in the Bible three sixes together is when you look at Goliath who was Goliath he was the man who claimed to be the champion of a gods man yeah David was God's man Goliath was Satan's champion and when you read the introduction there of Goliath in 1st Samuel Chapter 17 you'll notice that he has six pieces of armor he's six cubits high and the the weight of his spear had his six hundred shekels six six six now six Cuba Cuba is about well there's different measurements for Cuba Cuba is about a foot and a half so he's about nine feet high which is entirely feasible I mean Robert Pershing Wadlow was the tallest man in recorded history in the 20th century he was 840 11.1 so he was the same height more or less so military gods rather Satan's greatest military champion is identified by this figure six six six so where else two six six six crop up in the Bible if we're going to try and understand it let's go to where God says it well 666 is actually mentioned directly in the Bible it's in Ezra chapter 2 and verse 13 can we go there Ezra chapter 2 and verse 13 you see if God writes the Bible and then God gives us this cryptic code at the end which says 666 then God obviously knows whether he's used that code actually some translations translated as the word cipher this this number verse 13 Adana came 666 anyone know what that means these are the people who returned from Babylon now what does that tell us it tells us nothing because we don't know who Adan hakeem was perhaps that's the clue that no one knows who he is now Adan acam I don't I means Lord cam can me it can be translated two ways it can mean enemy or it can mean arise so I don't I can 666 can mean the Lord of the enemy of the Lord who arises 666 is God just giving us a hint that someone's gonna come out of Babylon you're not gonna suspect him you're not gonna know who he is but he's coming perhaps God's just giving us a clue there I don't think God even puts numbers in the Bible by mistake okay so perhaps so go back to the chart so all these different things about 666 which one is right well I think they're all hints I think they're all pictures or types or metaphors or symbols or God's Way of showing us look all these things are going to be true about this number of 666 but it is mentioned again twice actually three times and it's always associated with one ma'am can we put the next one on please the perfect Kingdom in the Bible the perfect economy with the perfect leader who has the greatest wisdom and has the greatest empire of all God's people in the whole of the Bible who's that Solomon now surely Solomon would not be associated with 666 oh yes he is all the time all the time over and over again if you go to 1 Kings chapter 10 and verse 14 Solomons entire economic system the weight of gold that Solomon received yearly was six-six-six talents why would God put that there as a summary of Solomon's economic system what is Antichrist economic system so that he controls everything that is bought or sold by that very same number 666 but isn't Solomon God's perfect king well is he isn't Solomon the best king in the Bible go back to Revelation chapter 3 and verse 18 so if God is telling us how to work out this number 666 what it means what it refers to revelation 13 verse 18 where are we supposed to look to understand this number this calls for wisdom do you know who wrote the wisdom literature who wrote the books of wisdom who was the wisest man in all the world so if you want wisdom where do you go you are Solomon what was Solomon's system summarized as his entire economic and budgetary system 666 that's a bit of a coincidence I don't believe God write coincidences in I think he's purposely showing us something let the person who was inside calculate this number of this beast what's the Beast a perfect Kingdom run by the perfect man who claims to be God it's the number of a man the number is six six six so what's got showing us here well let's go back to what it says in Kings by the way this is repeated in chronicles this is exactly the same thing Solomon's yearly economic budget was six six six so go to verse 13 now what is the verse immediately before we are told Solomon is identified with 666 King Solomon gave the Queen of Sheba all she desired and asked for besides what he had given her out of his royal bounty then she left and returned with her retinue to her own country just before exactly the verse before we are told that Solomon is identified with 666 the perfect bride visits him and then before 666 is revealed she's taken away to her own country is that a coincidence or is God trying to show us something he's God trying to show us look before the bride is taken away everything was fine but when the bride's taken away then we find 666 appears then we find things start to go awry now go to verse 5 got a same chapter go to verse 5 when the Queen of Sheba you go in the King James the NIV translates it not literally so when the Queen of Sheba came to his table saw the sitting of his servants and the attendants of his ministers and their apparel and his cup bearers and his ascent by which he went to the house of the Lord there was no more spirit in her that is a that is a strange phrase isn't it in fact he's so strange the NIV says I don't notice that she fainted or something because he said there's no more say there comes a point where the bride there's no more spirit in her and so she goes to another place and then that which was perfect on earth becomes identified with everything that is demonic so he's God trying to really show us what 666 really means remember when Paul wrote to the Thessalonians remember in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 and verse 7 we don't need to go there but he says when that which is restraining is taken out of the way then the Antichrist is revealed and though it can't be revealed because that which is restraining is holding him back yeah until the bride until the Spirit is taken out of the bride until the bride is removed and taken back to her perfect remember the Queen of Sheba even Jesus referred to her as the perfect bride he says remember even Solomon in all his splendor the Queen of the South came see him one greater than Solomon is here was Jesus giving us a hint in other words the bride is gonna go before this is revealed are we getting hints here from God as to what's actually going to happen this calls for wisdom Solomon this calls for 666 Solomon system what was Solomon's name shall amongst slomo in his peace he was the man who would bring perfect peace is that what Solomon did well Solomon is an interesting character in the Bible because whilst he's all he's portrayed as God's perfect man the perfect King is also portrayed as the most corrupt look at 1 Kings 11 verse 1 so up until the Queen of Sheba was there everything was fine but when she went it went to 666 and what happened to Solomon this is the next chapter from what we've just read but King Solomon loved many strange women together with the daughter of pharaoh women of the moabites ammonites Saida nights and Hittites of the nation's concerning which the Lord can we go into the NIV they were from nations about which the Lord had told the Israelites you must not intermarry with them because they will surely turn your hearts after their gods nevertheless Solomon held fast to them in love he has 700 wives of royal birth and 300 concubines and his wives led him astray go down and solace solomon grew old his wives turns his heart to other gods and his heart was not devoted to the Lord his God as the heart of David his father had been he followed Ashtaroth the goddess of the sidonians and Malec the detestable god of the ammonites so Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord he did not follow the Lord completely as David his father had don't go down on a hill east of Jerusalem Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable god of Moab and for Moloch the detestable god of the ammonites he did the same for all of his foreign wives who burned incense and offered sacrifices to their gods the Lord became angry with Solomon because his heart it turned away from the Lord the God of Israel who had appeared to him twice although he had forbidden Solomon to follow other gods Solomon did not keep the Lord's command who is Solomon the man who should have been the perfect leader and he ended up being totally corrupt so that he led people into worshipping false gods so I think the greatest picture we have of 666 is Solomon's kingdom it's interesting that all this corruption only happened after the perfect bride remember he had lots of false brides who worshipped other gods but after the the pure bride the Queen of Sheba after she was taken away then all this was revealed he's God showing us the pattern of the end times through Solomon's reign remember Solomon's reign was the the best economically the best artistically the best philosophically and educationally it was the greatest extent geographically extended up to the Euphrates and down to Egypt it was everything the Jews had ever wanted and he turned out to be absolutely corrupt is that what Antichrist Empire is gonna be I think that's exactly what God's showing us there notices it's tied around commerce Solomon was a great trade everything was perfect everything was great but go to 1 Kings 10 as well back to 1 Kings 10 verse 18 wasn't just his economic system then the king made a great throne covered with ivory and overlaid with fine gold this is Solomon the throne has six steps on its back and a round top on both sides of the seat where armrest with a lying standing beside each one of them twelve lines stood on the six steps one at either end of each set step nothing like it had ever been made in any other Kingdom even when you came in to Solomon's presence there were six steps with six lions on one side and six lions on the other even when you came into his presence there were six six six even in the way that he administered asking nothing had ever been don't like it isn't that exactly what Antichrist gonna do he's gonna sit on the throne in God's temple controlling everyone in the world making people bow down to his image having a perfect economic and monetary system having a perfect governmental system a perfect educational system he had kings and priests and he built the temple it took him seven years to build the temple how long is the end time period seven years and the temple is going to be rebuilt I think the greatest pattern we have for the end time is to look at what happened in Solomon's reign because Antichrist is going to copy what Solomon did he's going to give the Jews everything they want that's why they're going to accept him and he's not God man is the devil's man some people think Solomon repented remember Solomon's only the picture Antichrist is the reality so everything about Solomon is linked to this number 666 and the pattern shows us what's going to happen so is this literally going to happen yes isn't man going to come yes is he going to claim to be a man of peace like Solomon yes is he going to have a great military yes like Goliath is he going to extend the borders of Israel and give them the land yes is he going to rebuild the temple yes is he going to have everything and give people everything they ever wanted yes is he going to reunite the religions yes is he going to bring people back to God they're gonna think so but they're deceived I think that's what the number 666 represents all those things man is finally gonna get a perfect Kingdom without God God's gonna give it to them Jesus says you don't accept me when I come in my father's name but you will accept him when he comes in his own name now as Christians you should not be deceived by any of this we shouldn't be deceived by any of these things because we belong to Jesus Christ and we know who the true Messiah is we know who the true Anointed One is he's not 666 he's eight eight eight seven seven seven is the perfect God and that's who we worship amen
