Returning Home to some Surprises

vandia everyone good morning welcome to season two on my Portuguese Paradise I'm so happy to be back here and to take you all along on this wild land that has so many challenges through which I can grow this is the morning I've waited for for a long time night I will fly to Portugal and quite a cold and gray morning so the departure is made easy for me okay [Music] it's been such a long time since I've been to Portugal half a year and I'm kind of really excited how it's gonna be so I'm going to Porto now and take a bus tomorrow evening so I have one day in Porto and I will take you along [Music] like what let's go to the gate [Music] for to the city of the sea [Music] oh God I'm so happy [Music] I just came across this place and there were so many people so I wanted to check it out and then a very beautiful coincidence happened we just met here accidentally so crazy we didn't see each other for three years three years three years yeah and then we just hopped in here into this lovely place the world is small and we are part of it buses from Porto and it was on the sides I will now arrive on my land for the first time after six months let's see how overgrown it is it's so beautiful do you hear the river oh I see lots of brundles awesome flowers and the tree is blooming okay first things first let's go to the cabin I completely forgot how beautiful it is it's actually warm in there I found my action hat so now it's time for action so I will take the stuff down clean the cabin a bit and then go for a swim because the river really looks too inviting to ignore it [Music] let's let the spring in [Music] half an hour and it's already chaos here [Music] I guess it'll stay here until I have a saw this is what happens if six months happens nothing still some dirt [Applause] my car just broke down just 200 meters from here there was suddenly a super big noise like a permanent honk and then it just turned off and it wouldn't turn on again this car just came from the workshop so I'm gonna make a nice fiber now and then just go to bed [Music] good night [Music] it's a cold morning the cabin was really cold in the night the wild boars were here as you can see everything is kind of messed up [Applause] [Applause] for now I only found this working sweater and it's so cold I'm gonna make a tea [Applause] thank you let's see how the Terrace with the nut trees is doing because in the winter it was completely flooded I'll show you some footage from that time my friends and family helped me while I was gone to fence the fruit and nut trees because otherwise they would be completely dead now thanks again to the team there's some nice grass growing here I think now there's more grass than last spring look at these beautiful little flowers oh wow look at you this Creek was flooding the whole Terrace now in the winter it's just so much more clear it comes out of this hole it's amazing I've never seen this before it was always so overgrown this is a perfect place to place a pump so now comes the scary part of looking at the car I'll try to start it and doesn't work I'm gonna have to call someone to help me this is so scary because here in the countryside you really rely on a car so wish me luck that I can just start it this morning guys I'm so happy my car turned on so I'm going to the market now penis thank you I have something special to do now because the only thing that I really brought from Switzerland were some flower seeds these are insect friendly flower seeds and I will plant them now because it's a rainy evening so I'm just thinking which Terrace but I think this one here is pretty nice the ferns only start here and I want to cut the ferns again but here looks kind of cool this is actually a lot of seeds it's enough for 50 to 100 square meters oh here they go [Music] I love it [Music] time to make a fire inside and to cook something now I need to remember how to connect the gas bottle will the stove turn on yay time for some food I'm starving so cold in the morning I never want to get out of my sleeping bag but probably outside it's warmer this is my bedroom view not bad Come On Son please warm up everything quickly so beautiful [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] fresh Creek Water the Mist is rising from the earth walls this is a beautiful morning let's clean the stairway [Music] it was crazy we need to cut this off a lot has happened my neighbor repaired this trimmer that I got as a present so I'm just gonna start stirring now I already did the little tears around and it's a nice day for streaming not too hot so let's go [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] I was struggling with a Strummer because I couldn't reach the ground and it took me quite some time to realize that I could take the part of the cap off that is for the string and not for the metal blade and then it was super easy this is the second day I'm having problems with the fireplace there's only smoke and no flames so I'm going to check what's going on on the roof it's really hard to breathe this is how it looks like okay I think I have to do it tomorrow I don't see enough and it's hot now doesn't look good so after I had this problem last night I'll try again now if the chimney is blocked or if it was just hot air in the chimney terrible hi Sherry hi so we put up the ladder here very stable not very stable let's try to fix this thingy tap it gone down too far blocking the top of the chimney yeah perfect never been up here oh thank you so much for finding this out so that was all it was just a loose cap and now it should be working again tonight [Music] that looks good no smoke no smoke the oven works again such a relief because it still gets quite cold in the night here today I'll have a little Easter party just with my family and the friends and I'm making some pasta salads let's cut some veggies foreign [Music] so I cleaned the deck now I'm trying to make a little table [Music] okie dokie time
