okay then brand new setup guide today for retrat users and passers by just let me remind you if you've not hit notifications yet hit notifications and subscribe and like it helps my channel out a great deal plus it gets you upsate retro emulation content as I upload it pretty much every day so a question I come across a hell of a lot is can I make separate configuration settings per system and we can actually do this through retrat it's not actually that complicated to do so rather than having one configuration for everything we can actually do it per system so let's go ahead and open up retro B okay so we're inside a retro bat and what we need to do to do this is actually open up a game and access the retroarch menu so we're going to go into a game and from here in order to access retro watch what I'm going to do is press my Google stadia controller and the a button on my controller separately so obviously you might have a different layout how you match your controller but nevertheless whilst we're a game you need to find out which buttons it is you use to access the retroarch menu so here's how I'm going to do this so as we can see we're now in the retrat menu and like I said I press my Google stadia controller and a button simultaneously so My Google stadia button is the equivalent of say Xbox button or a PS button so once we're in a quick menu all we're going to do from here is just scroll down and we're going to come across controls let's go into controls so once we're in controls what we're going to do is just go down to say point One controls open this up and from here you can then configure how you want that particular system to be controlled using your controller so for example if I want to change my d-pad up button to a different button on my controller if I just access this I can then change which button I use on my Google studio controller and this is going to be the same for all the buttons on a modern day controller and if we come out of here by un pressing B if we go to manage remap files once you've configured that particular system we can then go down to save content directory remap file particular system NES has now these new configurations and of course you can also do this for say Xbox 360 or PS3 and if you actually save game remap file it will mean that that that particular game within the system has those settings and if you feel that you've messed up those settings those controller settings that you just configured very simple under manage remap files if you just scroll down to reset input mapping those control settings have now defaulted back to how they were and if we take a look at load remat file the configuration I've just made is now called NZ rmp and for those of you who likes turbo fire buttons whilst we're in here we can actually go to Turbo Fire turbo mode and we can actually change it to single button hold which means technically if you just keep your finger down on a button say you're playing a space shoot them up game if you select this then technically by holding down on the button it should automatically fire so like I say if we go back into manage remap files we can save a particular game within a system for example Double Dragon 2 here has now got new settings for controls or we can remap the entire system for Nintendo NES by save content directory remap so that means every game within the Nez collection is now going to respond to those configurations that you just inputed and if you're booting up a nees game and so those new control configurations don't work we're just going to open up the game again and directly back into the retroarch quick menu we're going to go down to controls manage remap files and load remap file and then obviously the NZ file just here is the one that just configured for my personalized controller settings and as we can see active remap file is now been loaded and it's put into place and let me just make you very aware of that if you have the option here save core remap file just be very mindful that there's many different systems on retrat which might use the same core uh let's say main for example so what works here in Nintendo NES with your new controller configuration might not be so great in something like main so just be very cautious of saving core remat file and that's it for today's very brief setup guide so like I said at the start of the video if you like what you see today be sure to hit notifications subscribe and like it really helps my channel out a great deal plus it gets you retrat in other retro emulation related content that I upload almost daily so also check me out on social media I'm on Facebook Instagram Twitter and Tik Tok but until next time stay [Music] retro [Music] n
