are reports there are multiple victims in that shooting. Let's get straight to Jana Katsuyama. Janet you just arrived on scene . What do you see? Well, right now, Greg and Heather, we are at 24th and Harrison. And you can see they have the street blocked off from here all the way down 24th. I'm told, until Folsom and City officials have asked people to stay away from this area. They say that it is right now very active in terms of their investigation. You can see all of the police vehicles that are down there at the intersection of 24th and Treat Avenue that is where a call came in just about ten minutes after nine this evening where people were asked asking for help. And it sounds as though from police that there were there was a shooting that there were multiple victims. One person possibly shot in the head. But as the evening has progressed in this past hour has been developing, we are hearing that there might be many more victims, perhaps as many as 6 or 7. And some of them are. We understand, at San Francisco General. Now, you can see from this area that they have not only the streets blocked off, but there's also a number of investigators who are going off up and down the streets. They are looking for evidence, I'm told, and they say that they are It appears that the shooting happened outside on the streets, not inside one of the buildings. But again, we are waiting to get confirmation from one of the sergeants here on the scene or one of the one of the public information officers with the fire department, which is called in to bring the ambulances in, to try and take some victims away. Now, just as we got here, there were 3 or 4 police officers that took off down the street. So we are understanding that this is an active investigation right now. We are trying to get more information, but certainly just in this past 15 minutes or so, there have been people who have been coming up trying to get through, wondering what's happening. Some people, residents who live on this area and right now, they're not able to give any answers. We are going to be tracking down some of the investigators to see if we can get those four people. But at least right now, they are urging people to stay away from this area because the streets are blocked off and they have detours set up for people to go around. This area at 24th and treat Heather and Greg. All right. Yeah. As you said, a very fluid situation. Obviously getting a lot of reports, some on social media, multiple people shot there in the Mission district. Gina, this is a Friday night. Usually the mission is a happening place. A lot of bars, a lot of restaurants in that area. It appears as though they have set up this rather large perimeter. So it seems that there might be quite a few witnesses to what happened, given the that it is a Friday evening and a lot of people might have been out and about. Yes, certainly there is this area. There aren't quite as many of those establishments. But if you look farther down, all of these areas, all of these businesses, at least over here, are closed. And it's unclear whether they were just closed or if they have closed as a result of this. But certainly we're going to be asking a lot of those questions and hope to bring them for you within the next hour. Yeah, a very busy area and especially on a Friday night.
