this is how you deal with an entitled mom speak another language I always thought these crazy people who don't mind their own business must be a rare breed and that I would never encounter one of them but somehow I did so a little bit of background before I start I was born in Pakistan but came to Canada when I was three but by that time I could already speak in Urdu Punjabi and Hindi the languages are fairly similar in many regards and then I came to Canada and English was my fourth language as I grew up I also learned Arabic French and Japanese to varying competencies but all within the realm of conversational having grown up in Canada I have no accent when I speak in English so you wouldn't be able to tell me apart from a Caucasian person if you spoke with me over the phone but also having learned so many languages I am able to pronounce a lot of sounds fairly accurately so I sound authentic in all languages that I speak in to all but native speakers most of the languages that I know sound different enough from each other that someone that doesn't know them can still tell the language is different I have traveled back home to Pakistan a few times and I would always encounter those beggars who come with elaborate stories like my wife is sick and she needs surgery and I managed to get money for that but I need money for the flight to reach her etc I came up with a fun counter to that which was that I would act like I didn't understand them at all and was start speaking in a different language that they wouldn't know Japanese was my go-to language while in Pakistan the reaction those people would have was quite hilarious so here is our caste Karen the start the show has always Jimmy Karen's husband and a decent human being was Arif me why feed my wife and sing restaurant manager so my wife and I were at an Indian restaurant in Edmonton Alberta Canada enjoying our dinner and having a conversation we speak in a mix of adieu and English just mixing with whatever feels easy to someone listening in they would be able to understand enough to figure out what we are talking about in most cases we were sitting in a booth table so it was only open from one side carrying and her family Jimmy and her two daughters that look like they were in their early teens were sitting as an open table with an empty table between us my wife is Pakistan like me and what some Pakistanis like to do is eat rice with the hands I prefer a spoon myself but at this time my wife was eating with her hands apparently this Karen got offended at seeing my wife eat with her hands when she came over I started speaking in different languages acting like I didn't understand what she was saying in English I'll translate what I said and put it in parenthesis which language I said it in here's how it went okay I'm looking forward to this so Karen walks over to our table with a sour expression on her face Jimmy cools to her telling her to sit back down and leave us alone but she ignored him she addresses my wife directly what's wrong with you can't you eat your food in a civilized manner like the rest of us so I start talking to her in Urdu huh what do you want can't you see we're eating Karen looks at me with surprise what did you just say I say to my wife in Urdu again don't talk to her in English just do I'm doing you're just a crazy woman go sit back down why don't you speak in English my wife starts smiling and I try hard to keep a straight face we're just enjoying our meal why don't you go sit down I just heard you speaking in English I know you can talk in English but so RAF is still talking in Urdu yeah I can but I choose not to do so his wife says I think she's getting upset I know that's what makes this so much fun still clear talking English like I heard you before but instead of talking in English Seraph swaps to Japanese so you were listening in on our conversation don't you have any manners wait that's some other language now what the heck is this her husband Jimmy says leave them alone Karen they don't speak English I know they do they're just pretending not to it doesn't matter just sit down I start waving towards her table still speaking in Japanese that's right go back to your table you loud cow Karen they aren't doing anything wrong leave them alone she's eating with her hands I can't let the girls learn how uncivilized ways now zeref switches to Hindi and tells his wife start licking your fingers my wife starts licking the rice on her right hand off the top parts of her fingers and that scarran rage even more oh my God look how gross she's being stop looking at her if you don't like it then yeah Jimmy knows what's up Zara switches to Arabic here you dumb idiot do you behave this way everywhere you go you change languages again I know he did his accent changed laughs now speaking in Japanese yep and I can keep changing speak in English you must have heard them wrong they don't know English leave them alone then why are they living here they don't deserve to live fit they don't know English I was having a hard time keeping a straight face so I disguised it by raising my voice and appearing angry i gestured to water and then pointed at her table now in arabic are you so dumb you can't even listen to your husband go sit down and stop embarrassing yourself you don't deserve to be here get out at this point the restaurants manager Singh shows up to see what all the commotion was about he's an Indian guy with a pretty heavy accent when he spoke in English so I nearly speak either Hindi or Punjabi I see where this is going excuse me can you please keep your voice down what is going on here this woman is eating with her hands and it's disgusting she's corrupting my children with her barbaric ways mom there are no rules of forbid her from eating with her hands please leave them alone or I have to ask you to leave now Jimmy gets up and comes over to where Karen is please Jimmy tell her to sit down sit down Karen yes you've embarrassed yourself enough this is why I can't take you anywhere Azhar off stop speaking in Punjabi you can nor this dumb cow her brain is smaller than Allah do which is an Indian sweets the manager starts laughing at my common and Karen gets even read it in the face since she probably thinks we're making fun of her all of you should go back to your country are grey nothing better than a racist Karen Jimmy just takes her arm and leaves her back to their table and sits her down telling her to shut up her daughters look like they want to sink into the floor for embarrassment I ramble a few more sentences in varying languages as a kind of venting before my wife tells me to just leave it alone I feel like as Arif was having too much fun in this situation we finish our dinner about minutes later with Karen blowing us the whole time I go pay the bill and as we are walking out the restaurant we pass near Cara's table I call out to Jimmy in perfect English with no accent while smiling and I give him a wave hey buddy I hope you enjoy your dinner have a good night Karen's eyes bulge as she screams I knew it see they know English she tried to stand up suddenly but instead ended up full deliver backwards in her seats my wife and I left the restaurant laughing before she could do anything else oh what a brilliant story I love when people get their revenge on entitled parents like this one and also shout out to Jimmy he's doing the right thing trying to control his wife's entitled Ness entitled mom gets her son taken off her and blames me and my boss hi so I'm the one who posted the surfing story a few days ago keep in mind that will happen months ago so just to fill you guys in if you don't know what I'm talking about click the I button right now and go and watch this video from a few days ago pretty much what happened was this guy is a lifeguard who works at a surfing Beach and an entitled kid came along and decide that it would be a good idea to swim with all the surfers inevitably her kid got smashed in the face by one of the surfers as they were just doing what they would normally do and he got a broken nose but his mum went absolutely ballistic and this is the preface to this story anyway I'm still alive guard working at the same beach only I have different shifts now I now work in the afternoons so just a few minutes ago I came across the almighty e/m from my last post the surfing one and decided to give you an update so I walked into a coffee shop close to the surf beach where I eat and whatnot before twelve o'clock here enters that entitled mother and a different kid but still a Nikkei nonetheless I see her look at me for a second but then walk up to the counter she orders something as sits down next to me something was most definitely up can I help you how does it feel to be a life ruiner excuse me I got my son taking off me because of you and your boss she never actually explained this but I don't see how that was our fault yeah I completely agree from reading your last post how was that our fault you started this whole thing just because you didn't do your job shouldn't you be working now people could be drowning with your back turned now to be fair I was wearing my lifeguard uniform with shorts on so I can see how she thought I should be working you've misunderstood I work in the afternoons now it's 1:00 p.m. in a panic I grab my phone and check the time it was 11:30 it's 11:30 the entitled kid looks at my phone and grabs it once I put it down give that back leave my kid alone the employees at the coffee shop noticed this straightaway don't know what takes him so long and other stories and one of them comes up to me and asks us from what's the matter I tell him and the entire tone mom agrees and apologizes probably not wanting to get in trouble again yeah sue right she's already had one kid taken away from her I get my phone back and moved to another table but the entitled mom grabs her entire took his wrist and pulls her out of the shop down the street so when the employee comes out with her order only to notice she isn't there he gives it to me to apologize for the fuss it's now 1153 and I should head out now sorry about my rush writing but man it was nice munching on those donuts and drinking that hot chocolate sucks she didn't get it though I'm not sure I agree with that so a big thank you again to Pastor Blass for submitting another great post and giving us some closure on that surfing story if you guys want to feature in the next relative
