Refret to stainless steel and restoration of a Gibson Flying V

Hello! It's me again and today I'm repairing a wonderful Gibson Flying V. It's a bit dusty and needs maintenance I'll change the frets to steel, replace the nut and the bushings for the pegs Enjoy! I remove everything so that nothing interferes with further work with the neck. I tape the places next to the neck so I will be calmer :) I apply quite a bit of flux. Ebony is quite fragile. Therefore, I try to remove the fret as carefully as possible scrape off excess dirt from the fretboard A bit "bow" Loosen the truss rot to straighten the fretboard as much as possible Marking with a pencil helps to see how much the fretboard is bent and identify problem areas Final polishing of the fretboard Make a fillet It's time to like, subscribe and write me something about a fret press, for example:) I pour cyanoacrylate under frets After installing and gluing the frets, I level them together with 240 grit sandpaper on a beam Light polishing to remove rough scratches from the sandpaper I don't sand the entire marker, I leave a thin line to not change the height of the frets Final polishing of the frets Steel frets take longer when leveling and polishing, but the result on steel looks much nicer and last longer I also polish the ends of the fretboard with the same nozzle Final cleaning and moistening of the fretboard, before installing the strings Ingenious...:) But still it is better to replace The bushings a little later, and now I will install a new one here strip, because the old one was already sawn. I adjust the new nut to the required height. I return to the bushings In this case, everything is fine with the holes for the bushings, so I just press them in, without additional manipulations A regular clamp with soft leather pads is ideal for this job I often use Dunlop 01 to clean the mechanics After cleaning, I wipe with technical alcohol to dehumidify mechanics and add lubrication if needed Everything is ready!:) Thanks for watching and I will be glad to see your thoughts in the comments!:)
