Redmi Note 13 pro Plus vs Samsung Galaxy A54 - Obvious Winner!

today we have with us this latest redmi note 13 Pro Plus it is primarily a camera Centric phone and that too with a 200 megap primary camera and along with that you also get a lot of features that you don't usually get in a mid-range camera phone and then we also have this stride and tested Samsung Galaxy a54 it is primarily an allrounder phone so it does not focus just on the camera but on everything all together and its sales and customer feedback has been amazing so far so it is not going to be an easy comparison because they target very different customer base and let's see which one of these is a better value for your money depending on your requirements starting with the build note 13 Pro Plus comes with a 6.67 in curved amulet display while Galaxy a54 comes with a smaller 6.4 in flat amulet display galaxy a54 has a typical glass back while redmi has vegan leather on the back now I'm not going to share my personal opinion about the look because it is totally about your personal preference but there are some basic practical differences between these two materials vegan leather has a rich texture so it also offers better grip I'm very careful around my phones and still I have dropped this galaxy a54 so many times because the glass on it is just too slippery talking about dropping the phone vegan leather is lightweight and it does not break like these glass bags so it is comparatively safer but it also has some disadvantages because it attracts a lot of dirt and stain while this glass back is comparatively easier to maintain and easier to clean also this redmi note 13 Pro Plus also comes with a tougher gorilla glass victus protection on the display which is much better than the gorilla glass 5 you get on the Galaxy a54 and it is actually very impressive especially for a third screen phone it also has ip68 certification as compared to IP67 certification on this galaxy a54 so it is not just tougher it is also safer around dust and water talking about the display now both the phones support 120 HZ refresh rate and sdr1 plus but nowadays almost every other mid-range phone offers these features so there's nothing new about it what's extra on this redmi is that it also has Dolby Vision which is pretty impressive for a mid-range phone talking about the display quality redme definitely outperforms Samsung with a higher pixel density of 446 pixels per inch while Galaxy a54 only has 403 pixels per inch so redmi definitely offers better colors and crispier details and if that is not enough it also has 1,800 nits of peak brightness which is just 1,000 nits on the Galaxy a54 so everything from display quality to outdoor visibility redmi wins at all now Samsung really needs to improve their display game at least in the mid-range segment because they were the very first to introduce a curved screen phone but now if you look at this galaxy a54 it has a flat display plus it has ridiculously thick bezels and even thicker chin which is honestly very outdated and Samsung is the biggest display manufacturer in the world every other brand out there realme VI 1pl they all have a curved screen phone under 30,000 rupees and I think this is time when Samsung should also adapt moving on Galaxy a54 comes with the 50 megap primary camera followed by a 12 mapix Ultra wide and lastly a 5 map macro on the other hand note 13 Pro Plus comes with a higher resolution 200 map primary 8 map Ultra wide and lastly a 2 map macro camera now now these are the primary camera shots and the first thing I want to clarify is that both of these phones capture great pictures and the difference is hard to find but now if you look closely Galaxy a54 lets in more light in the frame it does not overexpose the pictures and delivers a decent color balance like the color of this car is captured more accurately on the Samsung and it is the same case with this picture also the difference is not very big but it is there the skin tone is also evidently more natural on the Galaxy a54 while redmi has slightly over brightened the face and get to see this difference even more in the portrait mode redmi has excessively Overexposed the dog while galaxy a54 has managed the light pretty good there is no problem with the S detection the bouquet looks pretty good on both these devices but as you can see the light color balance and skin tone is again better on the Galaxy a54 so it definitely has a more Superior primary camera but I'm going to say this again there is not a very big difference and this redmi is a new phone so a lot of things are going to improve with the further updates now coming to the ultra white cameras if you compare the pictures they perform very identical in terms of both light handling and colors you also don't get a big light drop but still there are two big benefits with the Galaxy a54 first Galaxy a54 offers a higher resolution Ultra wide camera so you get better details on it second the frame that you get on Galaxy a54 is actually wider than that of redmi so you can capture bigger areas in the frame for group or travel pictures so the ultra white camera is actually more practical on the Samsung coming to the videos now both these phones can record 4K 30 FPS Max from the rear primary cameras now these are the 4K clips from both these phones and they're recorded side by side so you can easily compare them there is not a very big difference in the overall light but the colors are evidently better on the redmi with a subtle balance between the background and the foreground however the video stabilization is slightly on the Samsung's favor as it handles the turns and jerks better and now these are the 1080p clips and the light handling is again more efficient on the redmi pretty much like the 4K clips now the movements have improved on both these devices in the full HD videos but still Samsung is winning with the stabilization so for steady videos I would prefer redmi and for handheld videos like these I would suggest Galaxy a54 Note 13 Pro Plus comes with a 16 map selfie camera while Galaxy a54 comes with a higher resolution 32 map front shooter and here are some of the Selfies from both these phones and while they deliver very identical results Samsung is a little more consistent in every lighting condition while redmi performs great most of the time but it kind of loses the right skin tone when the light is not good and turns everything a little too bright you'll find the same problem in some portrait selfies also the S detection is Flawless on both of them now Samsung is also not perfect with the skin tone and it delivers a little darker tone but still it is better than the over brightened results from the redmi now this redmi is a great camera Centric phone but when it comes to the front camera videos the video quality on this are only limited to 1080p 60 FPS while you get 4k 30 FPS on this galaxy a54 so now if you're a content creator or a vlogger then I think Galaxy a54 is a more practical setup set up for you moving on Galaxy a54 comes with the aenos 13380 chipset while redm note 13 Pro Plus comes with the diamond City 7200 Ultra processor now on paper this diamond City 7200 Ultra is a more efficient and faster processor than the exos you get on this galaxy a54 but honestly we didn't get to see that big of a performance difference in the regular day-to-day tasks and I guess the main reason behind this are the operating systems and the way they have been optimized you get to see a decent amount of pre-installed and unnecessary applications on the Note 13 Pro Plus on the other hand Galaxy a54 offers a much more smoother experience with a cleaner interface but if you talk about the gaming now Galaxy a54 offers decent gaming in the medium settings at least initially because once you have played for a good time you will experience some Heating and minor frame drops and heating is a pretty common thing with the xenos chips and the fact that it is still happening after a year I don't think it is going to get better after this redmi on the other hand delivers a pretty amazing gameplay with almost no frame drops or lagging issues in the medium settings so you can expect smooth long gaming sessions from it and because it has a big and curved display you get a more enhanced gaming experience on it both these phones come with Android 13 out of the box and they're upgradable to Android 14 also but then this redmi has come out in 2024 so it should have come with Android 14 out of the box and the bigger disappointment for the redm fans is that it will only get 3 years of Android updates while this galaxy a54 will get four years of Android updates so this galaxy a54 is going to get an extra Android 17 update which is very impressive it is an older phone and still it is more future proof in terms of updates coming to the battery now Galaxy a54 comes with a big 5,000 m battery supporting just 25 WS of charging on the other hand note 13 Pro Plus also has a 5,000 m battery but with faster 120 wats of charging now the battery backup is pretty decent on both these phones so if you are a mediocre user both these phones are easily going to last more than a day on a single charge but now because redmi has 120 WS of fast charging that is some five times faster than this galaxy a54 you will have more time using the phone rather than waiting for it to charge charge so I would definitely go with the 120 W fast charging on this redmi note 13 Pro Plus so now we have discussed pretty much everything about these two phones and this redmi note 13 Pro Plus has turned out to be better in terms of build display performance and battery specs while this galaxy a54 is better with the cameras and it also has 4K videos in the front camera plus it will also get one extra Android update now there are two cases if you want a better all round phone you should definitely go with this redmi note 13 Pro Plus because first of all it is possibly one of the toughest phones in this price segment with the best-in-class curved display and 120 WS of super fast charging and now the second case if you want a better camera Centric phone you can go with this galaxy a54 for its better pictures and better 4K specs but it is 2024 and I would not want to go with an outdated display with thick bezels and slow charging now there are a lot of other factors also that matter in a phone and not just the camera and instead of compromising with all the other aspects of a phone I rather compromise with the camera a little now this redmi note 13 Pro Plus is a great camera phone maybe it is just not as good as this galaxy a54 but it is still one of the best in this price segment on top of that this galaxy a54 is actually more expensive than the redm note 13 Pro Plus so this redmi is also a better value for money phone for you so if you want to make the most out of your money you should definitely go with this redmi
