how's it going chris campbell here for bartlett arborist supply today i'm going to show you a simple method to take a double rope system or a mrs system moving rope system redirect it but also make it retrievable today i'm going to utilize the dmm revolver carabiners two of them triple action auto locking and a weaver webbing sling dedicated only for life support keep that in mind you are not allowed to use any of these components for rigging and then use them during your life support system we're on a 16 strand toefl burger tv rope we have a primary tie-in point but we still need to work behind us and obviously my rope angle is maxed out we're in the negative we can't go any farther so taking the webbing sling with the revolver carabiners we're going to install that around the union making sure that the gates are facing away from the spar of the tree that way we're not going to conflict any kind of gate on tree action and potentially open that carabiner so at this point now i'm going to loosen my system up kind of drop down to where i need to be and take each leg of a rope and install it into one carabiner only so my working end and now i'm going to bring the non-working end with the splice over into the other carabiner making sure the gates are locked now we have two separate system or two separate carabiners hooked into both ends of our system at that point we're ready to loosen up secure our lanyard and now drop into our friction list redirect up close our retrieval is going to look like this [Music] there's our redirect here's our retrieval [Music] [Music] thanks for watching this is chris campbell you can get these items at bartlettman.com you
