Redecorating DJ & Kyries Room | Kids Bedroom Makeover

what's up guys welcome to the vlog how you guys doing i'm doing all right and we are back once again guys with another banger and right now i am inside dj and kyrie's room and i'ma just give you guys a little rundown on why i'm starting this video so like i'm gonna explain everything so basically i want to redecorate dj and kyrie's room now we've been in this house for about i think a year now this is the month of june that i'm starting this video i don't know how long this process is going to take but i wanted to bring you guys along and i wanted to record everything that i'm doing therefore you guys can you know see i think you guys would enjoy this video so that's why i wanted to you know record it but we've been in this house for a year now and i haven't really given much time and energy into dj kyle's room and this is where they sleep at this is where they lay their heads at so i was like i want to redecorate i want to change the theme up i want to do everything i asked you guys on twitter i was like should i redecorate dj kai's room and you guys are like yes i was like should i record the process and you guys are like yes of course we want to see everything so that's what i'm doing so i'm going to give you guys a little rundown of their room so here's the front not the front door but you know their door and we have their beds right here now i did already change their beds their beds were originally right here as you guys can see the two little um spiderman and batman up there their beds were originally right there but i did move their beds and this is where their beds are going to be at and this is now their new you know wall where their headboard is going to be and then right here guys we have the tv um i am going to be moving this dresser to over here and moving this book stand so over here this i'm going to take out because i don't like it in here she's too big and they don't really use it i'm gonna be taking those off the wall and then i'm not this video's not sponsored so i'm gonna go ahead and tell you guys the theme that we're gonna be doing so instead of spiderman and batman i decided to do a outer space theme now if you guys know dj and car you guys know dj kyle love airplanes they love astronauts they love rocket ships they love face ships they love stars you know they love all that type of stuff so i was like why not through outer space i didn't want to do sports because i feel like i've already done sports you know while they're younger and i feel like when they get older they're gonna want sports so i was like what's something that they can have right now as kids that they already enjoy you know what i'm saying so we're gonna be doing outer space and the first process that i'm gonna be bringing you guys along with me and show you guys is i'm gonna be painting their walls now i'm not an expert in painting i don't know how the paint is gonna turn out but i did paint nova's room when you know i did her nursery and that turned out okay so i was like you know what why not go ahead and try and do it myself again it'll just be faster instead of having to wait for an appointment and you know all that stuff so the color that i chose for dj and kyrie's wall is going to be great this is the paint color that i did choose it's kind of like a lighter gray color i didn't want anything too dark even though i know outer space is dark i didn't want anything too dark um i have some of their things coming today that i will open up show you guys um and i'm gonna be locking their door to where they cannot come in here they're gonna have to sleep in our room or sleep in a different room until the process is over so basically what i have i ordered a table that's gonna go here i'm gonna put this mirror on the wall i ordered names for up here on top of their walls i ordered different lamps different sheets different blankets and all that good stuff so we're just gonna jump in get started make sure you guys how i'm visualizing because if so the room is going to be amazing so go ahead give it a like and let's start the process all right you guys so i have the camera set up right now therefore you guys can see me paint the first one i'm going to be starting on this wall um as you guys can see there's a brown like piece like a brown paper on the bottom that's just in case the paint like drops it won't stain their carpets i also have this i think it's called frog tape or something like that i have this tape right here that i'm going to be putting around the edges of their plug-ins and i'm also going to tape the paper to the wall just because it does move and i'm going to be standing on it so we're going to do the tape first so i'm scared job so basically we're just gonna get tape and we're gonna like tape it like this all right guys so i'm gonna get started painting this is the pink color it's like a grayish type color it's like a light gray if you say so i'm gonna just paint the wall so we can see how it looks i'm kind of nervous okay i think i'm doing it right [Applause] the color looks good hey guys so this is what the wall is looking like so far this light spot right here as you guys can see that is what i just got done painting and this is the first coat now i am going to be doing a um i'm gonna be doing a second coat of paint just because if you look inside of here there still is like some white spots missing you know right here there's still like some little streaks and stuff so this is just the first set now i have to go back to the paint store to get a taller brush so i can paint up there and then we're going to be doing this side all right guys so the first coat is done on this first wall it didn't take as long as i thought it was but then again it did take a long time this is what it's looking like so this is just the first coat if you guys see like little you know like these little lines right here we have to go through it again but this is the first coat i'm absolutely in love with the color and then we're gonna start working on this side as you guys can see i did take down the batman and i still have to take down mr spiderman right here but i started on this wall at the bottom right here all right guys so we're gonna take a break from painting and i had a lot of stuff delivered today i'm gonna open it on camera and show you guys everything that came today we still have a lot of stuff to go but i wanted to take a break and just show you guys the little thing that i'm going for i already told you guys it's like outer space so here's the astronaut helmet you guys can see obviously the little kid's not gonna be in it but here is the helmet this is just for um like decoration you know like i'm just gonna set it on top of the dresser or something i think you gotta put it together but this is what it looks like it says nasa on the side that's so cute all right um i don't know if all this stuff in here is for this but i think so um solar system this is a solar system okay so this is you can't really tell yet but if you look inside of it you see like the solar system inside of it it lights up and it tells you like oh this is the sun this is venus this is mars saturn jupiter you know so this is going to light up so this is just a little decor piece inside here we have a um astronaut hamper see this let's call it a little thing to put their clothes in we have a solar system banner so if you look right here this is what it looks like the banner looks like we also got astronaut bookends um remember i was telling you guys about this i think earlier i said that i was gonna put book in for their book this is what they look like so that's super cute also got a little can't go wrong with the little book and it just tells you like oh this is uranus it tells you about it so this is um a good like learning book as well as it's just the theme of their room and then this or like this is their curtains hopefully they're long and hopefully the curtains are long enough i got six of them i believe two for each window they have three windows inside their room so this is what they look like this is also this goes with their bed but their bedding hasn't came yet their comforter set and stuff hasn't came yet all right so in here we have a little moonlight it's the moon and it lights up so it looks like this little decor piece i don't know what this is this might be for their windows like the little things that go on top yeah these are the curtain rods and then we got this big old box right here all right so we have a face shuttle night lights and alarm clock look at their alarm clock that is so cute this is what it looks like you guys to see it easier that is so cute we also have a little pillow little rocket ship pillow we have a rug right here so let's take this rug out so you guys can go ahead and see what it looks like this rug is a small rug it's just gonna go under the little table that i was telling you guys about oh so it looks like this we also have inside here this in here is a tent i'm not gonna take this out yet but whenever i set it up i will i'm going to record it and show you guys what it looks like so they have a little outer space tent and then they have have a clock as well to put on the wall just like a little decor piece we have a bunch of these glow-in-the-dark planets and stars so we have a whole bunch of them i'm gonna put it all over their room we have an astronaut statue let's go ahead and see what this looks like oh he's so little look how cute this is a little statue he can just be sitting around so that's everything that i got so far today um we're gonna get more stuff over like tomorrow the next couple of weeks you know and um we're just gonna keep on working i have to finish painting the painting is not done yet let me show you guys how much i've gotten done this is how much we've gotten done so far so this wall right here has got in the two coats you can tell that it looks really really smooth it looks good and then this is just the first coat on this side so i still have to take him off we have to paint all over there it's gonna take time it's not gonna happen like super duper fast obviously and i'm just excited to see what it looks like make sure you guys go ahead and give this video a fat thumbs up and comment down below how you guys think the progress is going this is only day one so on day one i'm going to finish the painting for sure i need to finish the painting because once the painting's done i can get all the paint stuff out of the way and we can you know start the rug we can build the tables we can start putting stuff on the walls we can start doing all that so day one is to finish painting that's our goal all right guys so finally finally finally the walls are done day number one is complete i got my gold done my goal today was to just to paint the walls at least and that's what i did this you guys now it's not perfect it's still wet as you guys can see it's still wet right there so it's not perfect but the walls are done oh my gosh look at this room you guys this room is a mess like look at this this is the process of me trying to get the kids room done this is what it looks like let me step over here for you guys look at this just messy everywhere i guess that's just what it is i mean it's not gonna be clean while i'm trying to change a room so day number one is complete like i said the walls aren't perfect but i'm not a painter um and whenever if we ever decide to sell this house then we can just change it before we sell it you know if that makes sense the boys they're gonna love it it's like they're gonna come in here and they're gonna be like mom the painting is messed up no they're not gonna do that because they're gonna be looking at everything else not just the painting so the walls are done and now what i'm gonna try and do i'm gonna try and put their curtains up i'm not very good at putting curtains up but we're gonna go ahead give it a try because today today today today i'm bob the no actually no i'm not bob i'm bianca the builder okay what's up guys so it is days later and i have to apologize to you guys because i've been working on the room and i haven't been recording it because it's like when you get in the moment of something you just kind of want to do it you don't want like any distractions you forget about like everything else so i picked up the camera because i came in here to do some more things real quick and i wanted to show you guys what it looks like okay so this is maybe like i would say like maybe four days later um so we're gonna start right here by the front door okay you come in and we have their tv and then we have their like little book stand kind of already set up so as you guys can see we have a moon we have a little astronaut guy i got their ps4 connected together and then we just have like some little things down here and this is what this is looking like right here all this stuff they're not going to keep i'm going to get rid of this we have a little hamper here ignore this mess okay come over here this picture is going to be a picture of dj and kyrie we got a plant we got a little helmet like a little astronaut nasa helmet and then these are gonna have individual pictures of themselves inside of there we also have two little buckets down here this one's not filled yet but i'm gonna put like little extra covers and stuff in there and then i have their curtains up on this wall only let me know what you guys think do you guys like look you guys can see me over there hey do you guys like the one curtain or the two i think i'm leaning towards the two more but yeah so i haven't figured that out yet and then we have a sign up there as you guys can see it just says jupiter saturn uranus neptune pluto mars earth venus and mercury so you see that all up there kyrie's bed is done but it also has like stuff on holiday i have to put this on the wall still but this is their bedding and it also comes with this little like astronaut guy so this is what the bedding will look like dj's bed as you guys can see does not have the right covering on it but it will and then we have this little astronaut not an astronaut little ship base ship or whatever light and then this is their alarm clock we also have a nasa sign up there on the wall and then come over here which is my favorite part of their room so far they have a nice little tent where they can go in and um sit down read books play inside of it whatever then they have a desk that for they can do you know homework or just read whatever have two pillows the same pillow and then this guy on the wall hanging from looks like a balloon the cosmic rambler i'm guessing this is so yeah this is what the room is looking like it's still so messy like there's stuff everywhere still so we're gonna get you a view of the room really quick so yeah this is what the room is looking like so far now the room is not done yet it's not complete like i said i have to fix dj's bed their names has not come in yet which is going to go on the wall above their beds obviously their names haven't came yet um i still have a lot of stuff to put on top of the walls like i showed you guys we have this stuff right here we have like this stuff that glows in the dark we also have another pack over there we have that that needs to go on the wall still that little ball needs to get put together and then we just kind of need to clean up the rest of their room i'm waiting on maybe just a couple more things so i would give it a couple more days and the room will be complete i cannot wait to show dj and kyrie their room guys they've been sleeping in our room on the floor and dj's always like mama can i go upstairs i want to sleep in my room mama can i go upstairs i want to make my bed mama can i do this mama can i do that i'm just like no you know i gave them excuse i didn't tell them like what i was doing obviously i gave them excuse and i was like no i'm washing your covers so you guys don't have any covers to sleep with on your bed right now so yeah i know that dj probably knows that something is up but kyrie has no idea so yeah that's just a little update on the room i'm probably going to show you guys me putting some stuff on the wall today making the bed um just so you guys can you know get more detailed and more close up into me decorating the room all right guys so this is what the wall right here is looking like now obviously when i seen this picture online in the picture that like it came with the aircraft is supposed to be going upwards but i just made it go downwards because this one is so close to it and it's already going upward so it's kind of like this plane is going up and this plane is going down if that makes sense so let me back up for you guys so you guys can see what it looks like i still have to add some stuff right here which is on its way this little board right here i'm gonna put maybe right here so dj and kyrie are able to use it so let me step back and show you guys what it's looking like so this is what the wall looks like now it looks kind of funny right now because there's nothing up here there's nothing right here but i am going to be putting jupiter mars and stuff over there on above the window some stars and then i have more pictures that are coming in that will go right here so once everything gets in i feel like it is going to look you know nice it's going to look decent and then i also added these two things right here by their light switch hey guys so i'm back once again with another update for you guys um i did do some stuff without showing you guys once again i'm so sorry but i did want to come on here and show you guys what i have so far the room is almost complete you guys i'm out of breath because i just ran upstairs so if i sound like i'm like breathing heavy or like gasping for air i just ran up the stairs to um show you guys this real quick before i leave out to the store so anyways this is excuse this ink right here this is what their thing is looking like right here they have a book i added this little thing um in the middle as you guys can see that over here i'm still waiting for their pictures to come in i added the double curtains as you guys can see it used to be one right here but now there's double coming over here i added this the cosmic ram i don't know if i showed you guys this or not already but this is what it looks like they have their table and this came in today so it says dj and kyrie now i don't know where to put it at because this wall i don't want to like add too much stuff on it you know um so our tent and then right here we have like the nasa sign the little rocket ship going up some stars and stuff going around and then i did put this up today as well says welcome to your new room now the reason it's so low is because dj and kyrie are so short i want them to be able to reach it and like you know chalk and play with it um i got both beds together as you guys can see i got their lamp that works now and then for the big reveal their names came in today guys so i did put both of their names up i added some planets around as you guys can see i don't know if i should add more or not and then right here we have a picture of dj he graduated from kindergarten and he wanted he said that he wanted that hung up in his room so that's why we have that now that's everything so far i'm missing one picture they're pictures for the frame and i think i'm just going to add maybe some more stuff on the wall and their room is complete i'm so excited to show them you guys i cannot wait so yeah that's just a quick update on the room [Music] hey guys so it is a new day it is a new update the room will be done today thank the lord you guys the day has finally came and their room will be done i am waiting on pictures to come in that i told you guys about yesterday they will be here today and once those are here the room will be complete the bathroom that stuff for the bathroom is not and yeah i believe it may come today as well um i have to check my amazon cart but here's an update of their basically final room the next clip that you guys will see after this will probably be either me setting up their pictures or the big reveal okay so um i put this on the wall i think you guys seen a little bit yesterday but i didn't like going to detail about it but we have the clock on the wall and i'm just gonna go around so you guys can see what their room is looking like okay so this is their room this still looks the same the only thing i did today was add dj and kyle right here now yesterday it was down here but i decided to just go ahead and add it up there and then i like i vacuumed their floor i cleaned their room out so the only thing that is in here now is everything that belongs in here there's no trash nothing so yeah here's the update for their room i can finally say that the room is officially done yay i'm so excited you guys i've been waiting for this moment and i'm just looking around and the room is finally done i'm so excited the kids will see their room tonight you guys right now they're actually downstairs they just put on their pajamas and i can't wait for them to see
